Kertuffle |

Before Lanya and Sweet can sit down, Anastacia's challenge issues from the woods. All of the bandits except for John are momentarily surprised. Koila and Lanya move to near the horses and by the time they get there, John has cut the tether to the nearest horse. The bandits seem to be buying the ruse as Sweet calls out into the woods. "Here now, if there's a ransom, we'll settle for a quarter and you can have her."
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
His Bluff is terrible and everyone realizes he's just trying to buy time. The hatred he feels towards anyone working for the law drips from his every word.
I'm going to rule that everyone can take one standard action in response including John. John's action on Initiative 13 will be to mount his horse, even though there is no saddle. After taking your standard action you can roll for initiative, the bandits will be acting on 13 so again if you roll a 13 or higher you can get an additional full round of action. If Marik doesn't post I'll bot him until he does. Hopefully we haven't lost him.

Wilhelm Orlovsky |

Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Wilhelm snorts in amusement at the bandit's blatantly obvious attempt to hold them off. With a shrug, he moves from the underbrush into the light of the campfire before saying, "You lads just lay your arms down nice and easy and we can be on our way. Care to give that a shot?" When he doesn't see them complying, Wilhelm shrugs again and puts a fist to heart for a moment. As he recites a quick prayer, his fist glows and his wounds from earlier knit cleanly. Revitalized, he moves into battle with the nearest battle and begins to fight in earnest.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15 Try and bring them to justice peacefully by getting them to lay down their arms.
Assuming (I am) they don't comply. Take a swing with my next full action after using a swift action for lay on hands. I guess I'll try and walk up to the talkative one if I can.
Lay on Hands: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Falchion swing with bless: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 6 + 1 = 26 Edit: This might well hurt!
Falchion damage: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (4, 2) + 4 = 10
Crit confirm with bless: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 1 = 15
Crit damage: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (4, 4) + 4 = 12
That's gonna hurt if it confirms

Lanya Beladon Medvyed |

Lanya will try to inconspicuously cast Grease on the horse where John tries to ride on.
Bluff: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29
"You shall never take me back, Paladin. I will fight to the death if need be. Ssslide back home."
She calls to Wilhelm but makes the movements for casting grease on John.

Koilia of the Nomen |

Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Delay action to Sweet attacking. If Sweet uses diplomacy, I continue standing with bow readied. If Sweet attacks, flurry of blows(arrows) into the alchemist, then five foot step into the woods beside me.
Flurry,1: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 4 + 1 = 16: Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 7
Flurry,2: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 4 + 1 = 13: Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 4

Anastacia Stormwing |

I don't know if Anastacia can get close enough to attack. If she can here's the roll.
Anastacia moves up along with Wilhelm, mace and shield at the ready.
mace: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 2 + 1 = 171d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Kertuffle |

Lanya there is no saddle so no object exits for you to make greasy on the horse. I am willing to say that you are trying to grease John's pants to make it impossible for him to ride but he get a reflex save to avoid. If he fails then for the duration he will have to make a reflex save to stay riding or to sit without sliding off.
Sweet's pathetic bluff is cut short by Wilhelm striding into the camp and slahing the flat footed bandit across the chest. Amazingly Sweet is still standing although he is staggered by the blow.
John's Reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Although John's pants become greasy he seems to find a good place to sit on the horse.
Ride at -5 for bareback: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
It does however take him his entire first standard action to get seated and get the horse under control, in the process he drops his bow. He glares suspiciously at Lanya. Anastacia moves up to besides Wilhelm and hits Sweet in the jaw with her mace. He still stands and is still staggered. Jake quickly reaches to his side and then anoints Sweet with a poultice yeling to Abel and Birch. "Get between me and them and I'll burn them to the ground."
Cure Light: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 Even after the magical healing Sweet is still staggered but he goes ahead and attacks, bleeding as he does so.
Attack Wilhelm: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
damage Wilhelm: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 1) + 6 = 13
the hammer comes down hard on Wilhelm. At which point the alchemist sprouts a couple of arrows in his back. John yells "It's a Trap!" and he interposes his horse between Koila and his brother and slashes with his knife.
Attack Koila: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
His horse also attacks Lanya
Attack Lanya: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Attack Lanya: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Both hooves hit
damage Lanya: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
damage Lanya: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Abel and Birch move between Jake and Wilhelm dropping their crossbows and drawing their shortswords.
Sweet looks like he should have dropped but is continuing to fight. Jake has taken well over half his hit points and looking worridly back at his brother.

Lanya Beladon Medvyed |

Lanya takes a beating from the hooves, she is just lucky to move with the hooves to avoid the full impact they could have had.
With that she takes a step back behind Koilia and draws her quarterstaff from her back. Then a silver-blueish snake appears right beside her and bolts away to the west striking the alchemist squarely in his back.
Her eyes light up a faint yellow again as she looks angrily at the horseman.
Missile damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
5-ft step behind Koilia, drawing my quarterstaff as a part of a move action. Standard action to cast Magic Missile

Wilhelm Orlovsky |

A loud ringing fills Wilhelm's ears as he staggers under the force of the man's blow. His shoulder awash in pain, he struggles to draw breath. The young paladin coughs out a prayer to Iomedae and briefly touches his shoulder as his hands glows white. Feeling more himself from the healing, he manages to grunt out as he finishes recovering, "If you have any healing magics, M'lady, I would be much obliged." Wilhelm takes a fighting stance and strikes at the big man in retaliation, fighting as cautiously as possible given the number around him.
The hit took me to 0 hit points and I gain staggered. I use my swift action to heal myself with lay on hands (ridding myself of the staggered condition) and then swing at Sweet while fighting defensively. That brings my AC to 18.
Lay On Hands: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Falchion attack with bless and fighting defensively: 1d20 + 6 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 6 + 1 - 4 = 10
Falchion damage: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (4, 2) + 4 = 10

Koilia of the Nomen |

to Lanya
"Keep on the magical one." Koilia suggests in Sylvan.
Continuing his attack on the alchemist seems unwise (or at least not expedient). Koilia shifts his aim, unloading another volley; this time at the horseman.
Flurry 1: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 4 + 1 = 11 Arrow Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 4
Flurry 2: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 4 + 1 = 16 Arrow Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 8

Anastacia Stormwing |

Anastacia steps behind Wilhelm, to avoid being pummeled while she casts a spell. It was to have been a protective spell, but she changes it quickly to one of healing. Wilhelm is in a bad way.
"By Pharasma's power, your wounds are closed."
5' step, transfer mace to off hand, spontaneously casts cure light wounds in place of shield of faith.
Cure light wounds: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Wilhelm Orlovsky |

Thanks for the assist Anastacia. Hopefully DMPC'd Marick can move up and prevent me getting flanked. :)

Kertuffle |

Because you can't 5'step into difficult terrain, I'm afraid Lanya and Koila are being forced to 5' step in different directions. Lanya towards the wagon, Koila down the trail with the horses tied on either side.
Lanya's mystic snake strikes Jake and he screams in pain but remains standing. Wilhelm feels better after Anastacia cures him but his defensive blow bounces off his opponent's heavy armor. One of Koila's arrows hits and John grunts in pain. Marick moves up and swings at Abel with his morningstar.
Attack Abel: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
damage Abel: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
and gets a solid hit in.
Sweet looks like he'd love to step forward and swing at Anastacia, but it hurts to much to move and he contents himself to swinging at the young paladin yelling at Jake as he does. "Jake, do that again."
Attack Wilhelm: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
and he hits Wilhelm with his hammer again.
bludgeon damage Wilhelm: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 6) + 6 = 16
it hurts alot and Sweet bleeds some more. Jake does not cure Sweet, but instead cures himself and moves towards the horses into the woods. Sweet starts screaming at him. "Come back you lily livered bastard!"
Cure Light: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Jake feels much better. He yells back. "Don't worry Sweet, I'm just getting a horse, I'll be back." This does not seem to satisfy Sweet as he he can barely stand.
Abel and Birch attack Marik
Attack: 1d20 ⇒ 7

John continues to press his horse into attacking Lanya.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
One hoof hits for
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
While his horse attacks he tosses his dagger at Koila.
Attack Koila: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
and the dagger thunks into a tree next to him.
Man, I'm sorry Wilhelm but Sweet just doesn't seem able to miss. If this takes you down I'll let you play Marik if you'd like. Marik has some healing also so Wilhelm may be able to get back up. He has three Cure Lights loaded and a Feral Strength Mutagen and 4 bombs left.

Wilhelm Orlovsky |

Stabilize: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 So his swing took me to -7 and then I failed to stabilize and drop to -8. Got 5 rounds to stabilize unless someone tries to coup-de-grace me.
Wilhelm drops like a wet rag as Sweet swings at him with feral enthusiasm. The heavy blow to his head seems to knocked the young man unconscious.
Taking a look at Marick's stuff and then I'll get some actions for him up. Priority should be killing Sweet. :P

Lanya Beladon Medvyed |

This is turning to a tight situation, let's hope Koilia can take out the rider.
Lanya gets hit by the another hoof of the rider, hitting her shoulder. She hisses at the man with ferocity in her voice. She steps backwards towards the wagon. Eyeing the horse like a cornered animal would.
If this is the last thing I do in life at least I've made the Greenbelt a tad safer.
Another snake uncoils from her fingertips, this time seeking out Sweet's head.
Magic Missile: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Lanya Beladon Medvyed |

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Lanya notices the bag of alchemical items close to her.
Hopefully I can get some useful items out of them, that depends on Koilia now.

Rikash |

Yelling in anger as Wilhelm falls under the bandit's vicious onslaught, Marick pulls a stoppered vial from his pack and downs it with a suddenly feral grin. Darkened blood flows from his body in pulses as the mutagen takes hold and he begins to cackle maniacally. As his features begin to grow and twist into an almost demonic form, his cackle grows deeper and huskier. The former elf seems utterly unrecognizable in this new bestial form as he shouts, "I will tear you limb from limb bandits."
Chug a feral strength mutagen. He attacks at next opportunity (not sure what he did first round, if possible he would have drunk the mutagen so he could attack second.)

Koilia of the Nomen |

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Koilia hears a lilting, elven voice transmogrify into something monstrous. Marick just joined the fray.
Sweet is still hammering away. Wilhelm is at his feet dead or dying. This is concerning. A few, choice shots might improve that situation. Yet, John is about to lay-out Lanya.
Decisions.
John it remains. (And Koilia likes Wilhelm, too!). Lanya can't afford a wasted shot, right now.
Perfect Shot
Wasted? Perhaps.

I'm willing to have let Marik gone feral the round before as he didn't do anything
Lanya's snake strikes for Sweet's head but he pulls his head back and it goes through his cheek, laying it open. He is still somehow standing. Marik slashes Abel with a claw and he drops and he latches onto Birch with his bite. Anastacia delays. Koila manages to hit John with an arrow and that is enough for the bandit. He whirls his horse and has it attack Koila while he starts to throw his dagger at Lanya, but then delays as he realizes it is his last weapon.

The snake has diverted his attention from Wilhelm and he leans on his hammer and draws his javelin with his right hand. "Youss diess bithccss" he lisps as he bleeds some more.

Wilhelm Orlovsky |

Lanya, having seen the bag of alchemical supplies quickly grabs it from the wagon and shoulders it. Move action

As Sweet turns to look at Lanya, Anastacia comes up from behind and lays him out with her mace. He falls like a sack of potatoes, dead at her feet. Marik destroys Birch, leaving a bloody wreckage behind. Lanya's snake strikes John in the chest, knocking him off his horse and leaving him unconscious on the ground. One of Koila's arrows hits Jake, but Jake is still mounted and seems to be the only bandit left.
Int check for Lanya: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Lanya looks into the bag and sees a bag full of whickey bottles filled with some reddish gold liquid. It has the appearance of alchemist fire and she remembers that Jake supposedly would carry alot of it with him normally. Probably while working near the fire he left his stash a safe distance away. There are 10 bottles. Jake's attention is frimly directed towards Koila and he momentarily doesn't notice Lanya picking up his pack. He whirls his horse, riding like a bat out of hell towards the south, but before he goes he tosses a bomb over Koila's head at one of the horses behind him.
Attack Horse at -2 for mounted archery and double move: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Damage Horse: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
the horse erupts in fire and there is a 10' radius fireball that encompasses alot of the horses and Koila. It doesn't reach John, thats probably why he didn't target Koila, but it does turn the path Koila is on into a horrible mass of panicking horses. He yells as he leaves. "Lanya! If anything happens to my brother, then I'll make sure the same happens to you. You best not hurt him, cause I'll be back and you'll rue the day you crossed the Terril brothers."
Koila, you need to make a reflex save of DC 14 or take 4 points of firc damage, 2 if you save. The bad news is all of the horses are now considered hostile and will take attacks of opportunity at anything that moves near them until a Handle Animal is made. They will also attack Koila if he remains. John's horse runs behind the wagon.

Anastacia Stormwing |

Seeing that the battle is winding down, Anastacia kneels beside the gravely wounded Wilhelm. "Oh great Pharasma, do not call the soul of this one. He has deeds that need doing in this life. Now is not his time."
With these words the priestess summons the power to rebuke Death. She does this twice, then follows with the orison that heals minor injuries.
Rebuke Death: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Rebuke Death: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Two rebuke Death, then casts Cure Minor Wounds over and over again till Wilhelm is at full Hp. If we want to save any of the bandits for questioning, someone can tie them up and Anastacia will use her channel power for a mass healing effect.

Lanya Beladon Medvyed |

Lanya shouts back at Jake: "If you were any kind of brother you'd stick with him until the end. Surrender now and we might pardon both you and your brother!"
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21
Lanya tries to work on Jake's feeling of guilt, leaving his brother behind in enemy hands."
Lanya rushes to Wilhelm and Anastacia's side as Jake rides away.
"How is he?" She asks with a concerned face as she kneels beside the unconscious paladin.
"Koilia looks like he is bruised somewhat, but he'll live." She says as she slumps down onto the ground as Anastacia heals the fainted Wilhelm.
"Are you and Marik okay? This turned out well in the end, but at the beginning it was pretty disastrous don't you think?"

Koilia of the Nomen |

B#####d threw fire at me! This, I can't abide.
Reflex: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Koilia runs, and takes one last shot at the fleeing bandit.
Move 40 ft, and attack. I'm not sure what penalties to take for cover.
Attack, Bow: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 5 + 1 = 17,Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 3
Koilia rejoins the others, saying nothing. He regards everyone, in turn, with a look of consideration and concern.

Anastacia Stormwing |

"He's badly injured, but I think he'll live." Anastacia takes in Lanya's somewhat battered condition. "Looks like you took a little beating, yourself." She frowns. "Yes, I think we may have been a tad overconfident. We are missing Viktor's battle chant, that seemed very inspirational. Wish that last one had not got away."
Given time, Anastacia will use cure minor wounds to get everyone up to full hp.

As Anastacia's healing energies do their work, the young man begins to stir groggily and groans in pain. As he becomes aware of his surroundings, he smiles at the concerned women crouching over him and says, "I think I might have to get hit in the head a bit more often if it results in two beautiful women nursing me back to health." Chuckling wryly, Wilhelm sits up and stands unsteadily while trying to wave away their concerns and recovers his sword. "Don't worry yourselves too greatly now, is everyone else alright?" He nods in appreciation to Koilia as he heals himself with the last of his divine power. Listening to the ongoing conversation, he shrugs and says, "Overconfident might the right word Anastacia, loathe as I am to admit it. My fault for charging in like a proper fool though. Not sure that last one will get away with Marick giving the chase."
Lay on Hands: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Lanya Beladon Medvyed |

"I was fortunate enough that the horse didn't attack me at it's fullest. Seeing Wilhelm take such a beating from Sweet... I don't think I would still be standing if that was me."
Then Wilhelm wakes up.
Lanya smiles at his words. Are all these men like this? Charming and playful? I thought it would get less without Viktor, guess I was wrong.
"Overconfident? Perhaps it was, however things didn't go according to plan as Koilia and I approached their camp, so don't fault yourself too much."

Kertuffle |

@Anastacia. I'm afraid Cure Minor never made the transfer from 3.5 to Pathfinder. I noticed earlier that you cast it, but at the time it was going to have the same effect as the Orison Virtue so I let it slide, planning to bring it up later after the fight. You can certainly start healing people with your channel energy however and the Rebukes will bring Wilhelm to consciousness.

If the tree hadn't been there it would have hit the hapless alchemist. Of course, suddenly everyone can see as the night is lit up by Marik's bomb. He misses his target and Jake leans forward and he and his horse streak off into the night. The fight is over, Anastacia has plenty of time to heal whomever she wishes. John has stabilized but the Abel dies unless magical means are employed to stop it. Looking about the camp you discover

Anastacia Stormwing |

Anastacia smiles at Wilhelm's quip. "You like to do things the hard way, don't you?"
Then she is back to business. When I channel Pharasma's power to heal our wounds, it will catch the bandits as well. We need to bind them or move away, before I do."

Lanya Beladon Medvyed |

"That or we kill them, we can't really take many prisoners between us five and none of them surrendered. The only one who got away wants his brother back unharmed, we can take his brother with us if he still lives and have some leverage over him. We would risk getting ambushed by him though when we head back to Oleg's."
Survival: 1d20 ⇒ 17
Lanya looks around and sees the rough tracks which were made by the wagon. "Does anybody know how to speak to animals or how to handle them? Cause we are not getting that cart out of here unless someone is excellent at driving a cart."

Wilhelm Orlovsky |

Seeing that there are no further threats, Wilhelm sheaths his sword while casually replying to Lanya, "I suppose they -our plans, I mean- didn't at that. It was a nice recovery all around though. We work pretty well as a team, in my own estimation. That bit about being the law chasing our 'villainous' leader was inspired, Anastacia." Wilhelm arcs an eyebrow at Anastacia in amusement and retorts in mock outrage, "I wouldn't say I prefer the hard way of doing things. I'm rather results oriented, all things considered."
As he turns his gaze to the bandits, his smile fades and he grimaces. "I'd prefer we didn't let them die, but they clearly can't be allowed to simply ride off. I can tie them up and we can lash them to a horse when we begin our travels tomorrow. That said, Lanya is our leader and by extension of the legal writ, she seems to have the force of law behind her. The decision is yours, m'lady. My work with horses is pretty well limited to being able to ride one. It's a shame Dantalion isn't with us, I imagine he's rather good at it. How about you Koilia? Any skill with horses?"
The only gear I have any real interest in is the masterwork earthbreaker. If no one objects, I'll take that.

Koilia of the Nomen |

at Wilhelm
Wilhelm, you God Saved. No, Nomen horses no work. Koilia's speech is thicker in Sylvan than usual. He seems bothered by something.
to Lanya and the group
That guy...angered...me. I don't want worry until next meeting. Track and overcome. He bring more evil men to take brother and kill us. Koilia looks into the woods where Jake rode off.
Koilia has fought in battles, killed, and seen others killed. He has never, however, been around cut-throats and thieves. Their depravity is bewildering to the naive Koilia.
His emotions even again, Koilia regards the group.
Anastacia, I will be glad for your Pharasma's healing. Unless another has claim, may I use bow? pointing to the +1 bow of John.

Lanya Beladon Medvyed |

"I can see your reasoning Wilhelm, but they could have surrendered and they didn't. I prefer that men like that Sweet over there don't roam around free. I believe that people should get freedom, but they should not harm any others with that freedom. These bandits have obviously not much respect for others."
Lanya glances over the skirmish they just had.
"It's a shame Jake escaped indeed, now that so-called Stag Lord will know of our coming. Not to mention Jake will probably seek revenge if we kill his brother. Do you have any thoughts about that?" She asks around the group.
Lanya doesn't need anything specificall from the items, I will take the backpack however full with Alchemist's fire. I have had a very memorable moment concerning Bluff, Diplomacy and one flask

Anastacia Stormwing |

"It seemed the logical conclusion." Anastacia tells Wilhelm. The brief moment of levity is gone, Anastacia is once again all business. "Results are what matters most."
Answering Koilia:
"Yes, Koilia, I will be channeling the power of life, through through Pharasma to heal those that need it. All you need to do is be within about ten paces of me when I do it."
To his other question she simply states:"You are the archer."
If anyone else needs the bow they will have to speak up for it.
Then Anastacia draws her dagger. "I'm not sure we really gave them a chance to surrender, but they are certainly the men of this 'Stag Lord', who is a villainous scoundrel by all accounts. So they are guilty by circumstance, and guilty by association. Lacking the means to give them a proper trial, that is sufficient for me."
Anastacia makes no move toward the fallen bandits, however. She waits for Lanya to make a final judgement.
I got ninja-ed

Wilhelm Orlovsky |

Just to clarify, the 'results' Wilhelm was referring to was the care/attention received from Anastacia and Lanya. I wasn't sure if I made the joke too subtle or not. :)
Wilhelm looks at Koilia in slight surprise before grinning, "I suppose I was saved at that. Shame that none of us have a lick of skill amongst us to try and drive that wagon out of here. Do you think we can unload those goods onto the horses somehow? As far as that bow goes, I'm a rather terrible shot. It'll do far better in your hands than mine."
As Lanya and Anastacia make their cases, Wilhelm nods along slowly, obviously thinking. "I suppose that we've only been allowing those showing repentance to live, which these louts certainly haven't. If it's your judgement Lanya that their crimes merit death, then that seems to be the end of it. They have committed some truly vile acts, and the punishment seems fitting. I suppose I'm still not adjusted to being in land with no magistrates to speak of." If Lanya seems ready to go ahead with the executions, Wilhelm will offer to perform the task.

Lanya Beladon Medvyed |

"I don't like to pass judgment myself, but by the authority granted to me and to us all by our charter, these men have forfeited their lives and deserve punishment. I hereby decree that the one called Sweet will be sentenced to death. The rest will have a chance to defend themselves and attone. If they will not we will hand them over to the authorities in Brevoy, where they are not so mild as here."
Lanya looks to the others as to see what they think of her decision, then continues to give a few orders.
"Bind the hands and feet of the other bandits, throw them over a horse and we ride back to Oleg's. There we'll meet up with the rest and decide what to do with them. We'll take as much with us from this place as we can, hopefully we can get that cart out of here as well."
That said Lanya walks over to the horses and cart, planning to span them in and pull the cart back to less difficult terrain.
She sits atop one of the horses pulling the cart and whispers in its ear a soft voice of reassurement and the promise of being taken care off at Oleg's stable.
Handle Animal vs DC 20: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18

Wilhelm Orlovsky |

Glancing at Seet, Wilhelm observes in a wry tone, "I suppose it's well and good that he was sentenced to death. I'll see to other bandits as you wish, Lady Lanya." Nodding his head slightly, he sets about binding the hands and feet of the unconscious bandits. Once Anastacia has finished her healing, he'll take them in hand and lash each of them a horse. Wilhelm then proceeds to gather any remaining belongings on the hillside.
The least pleasant task he leaves for last, when he takes a moment to gather the bodies of the dead bandits and wrap them as best he can in their own cloaks. Having done so, he binds them to a horse each. Content with his work, he joins Lanya and assists her in managing the wagons. In an unusually somber tone,"I brought Sweet and the rest along as well. Bandits and scum they may be, but I dislike leaving them to be feasts for wolves. I'll find a spot where I can bury them. Do you object?"
Handle Animal aid another: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16 Hopefully this takes us up to the 20 we need. Nice rolling there.

Anastacia Stormwing |

So it was meant to be a continuation of the light banter. Seems like I failed in that though.
"The thought of animals devouring our departed loved ones, bothers we who live, more than those who have departed." Anastacia pauses, then goes on. "I will give them the ceremony for the dead, and help you bury them. Tending the dead, is part of my duties as a cleric of Pharasma. Their souls will find their proper places, and the living will find comfort in that, their traditions are maintained."
Anastacia raises her holy symbol high and channels the healing power of Pharasma to heal those around her.

Channel positive energy: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Channel positive energy: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Channel positive energy: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Channel positive energy: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Just one use of Channel, I rolled for everyone who was wounded, I think. Not sure how you would want to handle it Kertuffle. BTW, glad you are feeling better.

Koilia of the Nomen |

Lanya has Koilia's assent.
Anastacia, and her God, are given thanks by Koilia.
He quietly packs, sees to helping Wilhelm, and shoulders a load of goods. When the group hits the trail to Olegs, Koilia trots along side the horses. He holds the pace, and keeps his own company.
Hurray we survived! That could have been bad. Very. Oh, and I believe Sweet is now dead, Lanya and Wilhelm. I'm pretty sure his diehard feat kept him standing until a mighty smitation from Anastacia. After which, he collapsed, dead on the spot.

Lanya Beladon Medvyed |

If he wasn't already dead, than this was for good measure. We also don't have more than 3 other bandits, but I believe recalling either Abel or Birch dying.
Lanya smiles at Wilhelm. "I don't object at all, but see to it that we bury them soon, we don't want scavengers to follow us back though their scent."
She looks around at the bandits and notices that some might not even be breathing.
"I think some of thm have passed already, Sweet perhaps one of them. Anastacia can you check if they are alive or not? I'll tend to the horses and then we'll be on our way."
This was in response to Wilhelm and before I did that horse-wshisperer thing.

Anastacia Stormwing |

Anastacia works to get the dead buried, she casts Deathwatch to check the status of the bodies to be buried. lanya is right, it would not do, to bury anyone alive. No one deserves a fate so cruel as that.

Wilhelm Orlovsky |

Ah. Makes sense now. I think we're ready to get this show on the road. Make it away from the hill enough so that driving is easier again and call it good.
