Malthu the Redeemed |
Malthu stops trying to hack the wall. "The green portal crystal - our friend has been scrying on us using it. We need to get a new one, or remove the effect on the old."

Snow flies back from subduing Tama. Tama is now kneeling in his normal form at the edge of the island. Head in his hands the group can see him crying. Snow lands and transforms back into the Aasimar form. "That went better than I was hoping, did you know that elf? From the air when I was landing he took out a crystal from a bag, stood atop some markings and vanished. I'm not sure we'll see the last of him."
Snow nods at Drak "With the Lizardfolk's reaction I can see that you did take what kept him in his desire, I know it can be hard to see him like that but if we don't do something about it I fear many more will end up like him. The ends don't justify the means by any stretch but sometimes there is very little means to begin with." Snow says sombrely addressing Tama's current predicament.

Malthu the Redeemed |
Malthu lays a comforting hand on Snow's shoulder. "What you did was impressive. Every victim of the Man in White I've seen has turned into a Mistfiend when angered. But you somehow kept him in his normal state. Perhaps he can still be saved when we defeat the Man in White."
Malthu heals the injured party members and himself.
Channel: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 6) = 9
Channel: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 6) = 11
Does a channel that heals multiple allies restore multiple RP on Malthu's double-scimitar?

Malthu the Redeemed |
"Snow, you mentioned you saw some markings. Where was that? We can use it to teleport back to our home - we need to deliver this vine to a healer so she can tend to one of our companions. Though I again caution that the elf-orc we encountered has been using this to track us."
Head back, save Agatha and rest?
@Davachido - are these green crystals the same kind of crystals we get from mistfiends? If so, do we have any of those, or did we sell them to someone we could repurchase it from?

Davachido |

The crystals are made from the same sort of material you aren't sure off hand if it is exactly the same but your best guess is it might be possible to fabricate something else that can be attuned to the circles.
Snow nods "Yes it isn't far from here." She begins walking off to the circle where she say Elrohir disappear. She stands near it waiting for the group to catch up. Snow says "If you're going through I'll wait here, I honestly don't want to see Chamarel at the moment. So much must've changed."

Davachido |

Snow relaxes her shoulders before starring up at the sky. She folds her arms in front of her then brings her fingers up to her eyes. Pinching the space between her eyes grabbing some tears held back and wiping them away. "Klaus was killed a long time ago by his own ambition I guess is the word for it. He tried to use the Man-in-White's power to his own ends to better the world, or at least his world for Dragash. He ultimately failed and Dragash himself made a wish with the Man-in-white. I submitted that I would see my friends die eventually as I am more long lived than them. However I expected old age, not desperation, townsfolk and vile magic. I can't say I did some good things in response. She sighs I guess time has long passed... maybe the townsfolk have either forgotten or forgiven me. She looks to the teleport circle. "Do you think its safe?

Drak Evren |

Drak listens to the story.
If you attacked them as a dragon I suspect niether. Those sort of attacks are the kind passed down from generation to generation.
Still, you have the ability to change your form. You should easilly be able to hide if it comes to that.
Just a couple of guesses at the world lore, I assume dragon attacks are not common-place :), let me know if I need to/should roll knowledge local or something.

Malthu the Redeemed |
"And we will vouch for your good deeds, should it be needed," says Malthu. "You will be safe with us. But perhaps instead of hiding, you should consider apologizing. You say the townsfolk played a role in the death of Klaus and Dragash? If you took vengeance upon them, then perhaps now is the time to repent of your mistakes." That was the lesson Malthu had learned from Sarenrae, and one he felt Snow might need as well. "You may find that the townsfolk are more willing to forgive, after the passage of time."

Davachido |

Snow looks at her feet, contemplating the issue. Before wordlessly standing on the platform, waving the party on.
The group teleports back into the halfling tunnels and leaves into the halfling quarter of town. Chamarel's air feels refreshing after some time away in the Fayances Caverns.
Snow shields her eyes from the setting sun outside. "That is a sight to behold I must say. It has been years since I felt the heat of the real sun on my sca.. skin."
She turns to Malthu You spoke of forgiveness, how do you suppose I do that?"
Where would people like to go? When everybody is ready to rest say.

Davachido |

Snow nods, The group gather up and head to Korina's house. They see that she is tending to Agatha and that she is still stable. Korina brushes off some dust off of her coat and stands. "Ah you have returned, and with.. someone new." She sniffs the air. "She reeks though, you must have a bath young one." Snow blushes at her remark and begins to wonder when she actually had a bath last.
"Oh, that can wait though. Since you have come here in a large group I suspect you are here for more than meeting your new friend here?" She smiles hopefully.

Davachido |

Korina approaches Malthu finding his hands and taking the vine from him. "Oh yes, Yes this is it. It will take me a small while to concoct the brew but Agatha shall be fine!" She goes to a nearby room and starts begins to heat up a small cauldron and she roots through her materials. She gingerly adds in all the ingredients needed and the vine into the pot as well. As she leaves it to bubble she returns outside.
"How are the Fayances caverns? No doubt they have changed since I have been down there. She brushes her ears. "It has been rather eventful up here in your absence."

Drak Evren |

Drak listens intently.
I'm glad that she'll be alright. He says relieved. We went through a lot of trouble to get that. I'm glad it can be put to good use.
What other events transpired while we were away?

Davachido |

Okay mostly stable at work.
Korina scratches behind her ear. "Indirectly it has to do with the Man-in-White. Some of the regents men came down during your absence. They have increased the reward which is good for you I suppose. However they have said they had some more information that they would only share with would be adventurers going after this reward. This has emptied out the town. It is quite barren now. The rush of adventurers leaving the town was quite fast, most had not been lucky like yourselves in finding a lead. However the men, or rather I should say women because I didn't see a single male envoy, managed to set many on their way."
The group figures that might be suspicious though the biggest thing they remember is there is barely a town guard in Chamarel. Now with all the adventurers gone, there is very little defending the town, which is a worrying thought.

Variel Darkwalker |

Tell me more about this - the adventurers have been pulled out with promises of more information that would give greater reward? Correct? And its doubtful that the people offering this information are from the Regent? Oh... this does not bode well.

Variel Darkwalker |

I think we should arrange to meet with these envoys, state we are interested in the information then capture them for interrogation... If our previous encounter with the Slyph vivisectionist is anything to go by I would say these women are some sort of perverted fey... maybe dryads even.
But yes, we need to also prepare for attack.

Davachido |

Korina doesn't sound too surprised by their conclusions " Most defensible? I'm not sure there is much. Possibly the sugar barns? Most of the houses are about on the same height and aren't all the durable. At least not from attack. There are some basic walls along the town, about it. This place isn't often a place of interest."

Malthu the Redeemed |
"We need more information. Who else would know about these envoys? Were they really the Regent's women?"
Once the meeting with Korina is done, Malthu will start to ask around the village to see what information they might have about these envoys, or any hints of an impending attack. Diplomacy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26

Davachido |

Malthu asks around town about the Regent's women. Everyone says they were quite heavily armoured people. They didn't see even their faces, all came on horseback. They only knew they were women due to their voices. They did have the Regent's insignia plastered on their mounts and their shields. So as far as the townsfolk could tell they were all knights. The Regent's women left town after shortly after their initial arrival saying they be back the later to find more people to help the cause. None of the townsfolk seem to think there's an attack coming.
Rybal does a case location of the town trying to figure out what can be defended and what would be targeted. He finds that there are a few weapon stashes, small houses with pikes and axes. Likely this is to turn the townsfolk into militia if the need arises, this would probably be targeted to stop the townsfolk getting armed. On the outskirts of the walls (that are made of wood) are sugar cane fields and small pathways to the town. Likely if this place were attacked the fields would be torched to panic the town. The walls themselves look fairly fortifible though the gates would be taken town by any decent magic spell or a crude battering ram. There are many bags of crop or sugar that are quite heavy that could be used to reinforce the gates in the case of an attack.

Drak Evren |

Don't forget, if there is an attack on the town there is something that the attackers may not be expecting. Snow.
Drak will do some scouting.
Stealth: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16
Survival to track: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27

Rybal |

Rybal does a bit of recon, then passes on his thoughts on the matter to the others.
If they attack, they'll burn the sugar cane fields. That won't go well for the townsfolk. I think our best bet is to make a defensible position but not to make it too obvious, so any attackers don't think they need to smoke us out. Town's got a few weapon stores, too. I think we should round them up and put them in a central location in the town. Stock up one sturdy building with weapons, food, water, and barricade weakpoints on the inside with bags of sugar or anything else we can find. We can make a strong stand there if we're attacked. Any of you sweet-talkers want to help me get this done? My style of...negotiation might not work too well here.

Davachido |

Derp missed drak's post
Drak tracks them not too far from Chamarel, they are staying near the old abandoned tower The one 5 hexes away on the 'Drawn map'. They look to be gathering up with other knights. All of them mounted on horse back. They seem far more equipped for war then just a simple message.

Variel Darkwalker |

Variel spends time considering where would be the best place to launch a fireball on the knights on approach.
Is it considered we have rested yet or is this all happening in the afternoon window we return in
