Romon |

Romon quickly stoops and draws his knife across the bugbear's throat to make sure of him.
I don't know how negative he is, but I'll coup de grace to make sure he's dead and ain't coming back. He was brutal.

Marak activates his wand again, drawing upon it's power to heal his lupine companion. As he draws his hand back from her blood-slicked fur, his fingers are stained bright red, which he wipes absently on his pants leg.
healing Ali 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Barring any new pressing matter, he continues, turning to Inikai, "Would you be so kind as to keep an eye on our 'friend' there?" pointing at the prisoner. "We wouldn't want her to wander off and get hurt." he adds, dryly.
and again 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
one more shot for Ali 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
"Do you require another, little one?" he asks, turning with a look of chagrin as he remembers Roman's injuries as well. "Or you, perhaps? You still appear a bit worn around the edges..."

Romon |

At Marak's query, Romon looks up from sawing on the bugbear's neck. "In a second, OK?" After finishing the bugbear's neck, he begins searching the body.
Probably the chief's personal muscle. He'll have some decent loot.

Alisebett |

Aliwolf staggers to her feet and licks the blood off of Marack's hand as her way of thanks. At the healer's question, she growls and her eyes look savage and ready to fight, but it is obvious from her stance that she is not yet fully back on her feet. Ali's at 13 out of 26hp

![]() |

Ali's at 13 out of 26hp
Marak gave her 16 hp total with the first three taps, so she should be higher than that.
Marak invokes the power of the wand again, noting that it is smelling like fresh-cut ash again, as if the constant channeling of positive energy through the wood is revivifying it somewhat.
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Alisebett |

Ah yes, missed the three for some reason. She's now at 22 then and is a happy puppy ^^
Nudging Marak with her snout this time in thanks, Aliwolf pads closer to the goblin females. Although she is growling slightly, it does not seem to be a particularly viscous sound. The small wolf also scents the air and looks around.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17(+2 smell & touch)
what exits are there Wellard?

Alisebett |

The small wolf largely ignores the frantic females, yet she uses their fear of her to keep them at bay. As the sharp scent assails her nostrils, she tries to identify what it is. Knowledge (nature):1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Romon |

Wellard, anything on the bugbear's corpse?
At Marak's query, Romon looks up from sawing on the bugbear's neck. "In a second, OK?" After finishing the bugbear's neck, he begins searching the body.

At she overhears Big Bear's and Icky's conversation, the little wolf cocks her head in attention. As the big barbarian makes his final grim proclamation and the goblin woman pleads for their lives, the furry druidess seems to come so a decision.
Turning around so that she faces her companions with the huddled goblin women crowded behind her the grey wolf plants her paws and bares her teeth slightly as a low warning growl issues from her throat as her head sways slightly from side to side.
Sense Motive/Knowledge(nature) DC 10
The small wolfs stance seems much more defensive than aggressive

Muchorak "Windstriker" |

Muchorak sheaths his weapons at Wolfspirits growl and approaches, rustling the fur on her head, "There is no honor in defeat of the weak." Squating down so as to be closer to the Harem leaders height, "Why is this place bad luck for Goblins?"

DM Wellard |

Romon..
A quick check of the pile of the Bugbears gear reveals the following..
A well made Composite Longbow(MW) along with a quiver of 24 arrows 4 off which are highly crafted and fletched with a different colour of feather, a potion vial and and 4 Platinum Coins bearing the stamp of Magnimar
The goblin pulls her skimpy clothing around her in a parody of modesty and looks at Muchorak as if he was an idiot.."How many of tribes men you leave alive..how many gone gone now to dust..hmm..Witch woman bad news..bad luck since she came.."
"Yes, Yes," cry the others "witch woman bad...she bring bad luck..you go kill kill her now"
"How interesting" a voice says from behind you out in the antechamber "Kill me?..I think not"

Romon |

Paydirt! the rogue thinks. And these remind me of home. He takes advantage of the others' focus on the goblin women to pilfer one of the platinum pieces.
Sleight of Hand 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
But the interruption by the witch-woman distracts him and he drops it. His hand goes to the magic dagger at his belt as he looks up to see who spoke.

DM Wellard |

The woman standing behind you is tall, her hair falling in silver waves around a face that could be called angelic if it were not for her look off scorn and the touch of madness in those startling violet eyes.
Her left arm is red and angry the flesh swollen and ending in a massive claw. In her right hand a wickedly jagged blade gleams..she wears armour which enhances her voluptuous figure and leaves her belly exposed..to reveal a mass of scars crisscrossing her flesh.
At her side a heavily built, massively jawed dog seems to suck the light out of the room into it's hide and to her other side an armoured man hefts shield and longsword defensively
"You fools" the woman spits " do you seriously think you can stop me..I have the blessing of my goddess and you are as dust before me"
She looks over at the Prisoner
"I see you have my pet mage..tsk tsk Lyrie..you have failed me. Did Lyrie tell you about her crimes in Magnimar..was it two or three you murdered in their sleep dear. You see 'good people' Lyrie isn't a very nice person..no not very nice at all"
I'll need perception checks from all off you...the good news is you can advance your characters to 4th level

Alisebett |

Nice Wellard. And do enjoy the cin. Question, does new level include spells and renewed hp by any chance? = D
The growl from the small wolf's throat is deadly and vicious now and her yellow eyes lock on her foe, ignoring everything else around her.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7(+2 smell and touch)
Someone please roll a good Perception! -_-

DM Wellard |

Nualia's voice maintains it's unconcerned tone...
"You think Oerik here is under some sort off charm..are you under a charm Oerik."
"The only thing Oerik is charmed by is golden and clinks so I make sure he has plenty of that and Lyrie there makes sure he has plenty of...the other"
The prisoner grunts in protest and Oerik scowls...Nualia ignores them. The dog makes no sound merely stares impassively at the wolf with eyes as big as saucers

Alisebett |

Wellard, what's your general policy regarding time and spell durations and such? For example, as we have no real way of knowing how much time has passed, do you let us know when spells have expired? Or do we have to ask, or how does it work? Also still waiting to hear if HP & spells are renewed with the new level?

DM Wellard |

Same as always..you get your new HP, BaB and any special powers associated with the level..you retain any outstanding wounds and dont get prepared spells until you have had at least 8 hours rest. For the purposes of spell duration count each of Nualia's statements as taking a round. The fight with the bugbear ended..maybe two minutes ago if that helps

Alisebett |

Ok, that's all cool, thanks, I had just forgotten. About the spell, mainly had been wondering if Ali's Barkskin was still active, would have been 30min. And if a spell has expired, do you let us know? Or we have to ask or...?

Alisebett |

Ok did some checking, looks like Ali AND Muchorak had Barkskin cast on them by her just before we surprised 8 goblins, HERE
Ali's all leveled up now too. PS just to be clear, when I posted Aliwolf was glaring at her foe, I meant the Woman, not the dog ;-)
As the others have been talking, the small grey wolf uses her ability to scent the level of evil emanating from those arrayed before her. She also glances at the canine, attempting to determine if it is a natural beast.
Knowledge(nature):1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

Alisebett |

The small grey wolf shifts it's stance to focus on both the woman and the big dog and her growl intensifies as her hackles raise, the armored man she seems to ignore.
Sense Motive DC12
It appears obvious that Aliwolf finds the woman and dog to be the much more serious threat

Inikai |

Inikai is updated. I looked through the posts since starting Thistletop and I only saw him take damage from the druid's thorn spell. Did I miss other times?
Inikai keeps his left hand tightly gripped on his morning star while his left feels over the potion vials in his belt to make sure they are still there.

Romon |

Bill, don't forget -- Inikai was the last stuckee with Lyrie the pet mage.
Mage, bruiser, son of a b&&%%, and a tiefling freak shall lead them. Great. His jibe at Oerik and Lyrie ignored, Romon plays for time while he assesses the situation. "Look, why can't we all just talk about this? We might be able to work something out."
diplomacy 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Wellard, what are the rough odds of getting past Oerik/Nualia/dog and into a flanking position?
