Andrea comes from a complicated background. She was born to a Tian mother and elven father, both of whom died when she was nine years old. She did not stay an orphan long however, as she was adopted (or kidnapped) by a mad gnome known only by the moniker Righteous Endeavor.

No description of Andrea would be complete without explaining the mad gnome. He was prone to fits of delusions, or what he called prophecies, passed down from a patron that Andrea was "too young" to understand. Each episode was always followed by their immediate moving to another part of the wastes. In his lucid moments, he doted on Andrea, calling her his gift from Mr. Scratch, in moments of fervor he would become verbally and physically abusive towards her. Though most people would be scarred, Andrea only became cynical, and looked past his fits.

He taught her how to use a gun, and told her that when she was ready, she'd hear Scratch calling, and she'd welcome his gifts. She never believed him however, casting the existence of Scratch off as the ramblings of an old man, an old man she loved dearly. They spent ten years together in and around the wastes, always on the move, always together, until the first storm happened.

They were camping a half day's ride from Alkenstar when RE fell into another one of his fits. This one was more violent than usual, but not as violent as the ones he had before. He pulled a gun and shot her, though not fatally, and knocked her back but not killing her. She retaliated, landing a headshot and killing him. In the seconds it took for him to fall, and no sooner than his forehead slumped forward onto the ground, the first storm hit their little camp. She tried to recover his body, but it was swept away in a magical wind barely a moment after she had reached his fingers. She survived the night by emptying a trunk they carried with them and locking herself in it (shooting out the lock the next morning).

She sobbed through the night, having lost a second family here in the wastes. As she sobbed, she felt something take hold of her, someone embrace her and whisper in an hot scratchy voice "Weep not child" and then let her go. The next morning when she opened the trunk, there was no man there, but there was something waiting on her (her familiar). She made the trek back to the ruined city of Alkenstar, and took the moniker of Weep Not.

That was five years ago. Now, twenty-four years of age, she lives aloof in the sky citadel, researching and communing with the voice she became acquainted with on the fateful night her mentor died to learn more about what it is that possessed him and perhaps even her.
