The rod is incredibly magical, radiating necromancy, abjuration, and transmutation.

Zaidel Michigan |

Zaidel carefully casts prestidigitation on the area around the magical rod and the rod itself. Very cautiously, the godling picks up the rod, hands it over to Liriiestil, then explains what magical energies he observed around the object.

GM Coyote |

Liriiestil, for a brief moment, feels secure that the rod is safe to work his magic upon, safe to peer into the deep mysteries of. That is, until a darkness begins to cloud the edges of his vision before everything goes dark.
Lir finds himself floating in cold, utter darkness. He feels a sense of absolute and total aloneness. Not simply solitude, but the feeling of being so alone that nothing within ones means could bring them closer to another being. A feeling of total dread begins to build at the base of his spine as he sees space begin to twist and warp before an...entity emerges from the rippling and warping area of unreality. Both flesh and metal, the being seems part starcraft and part animal, with rippling and shifting flesh growing into, or out of, odd dark metal. He feels himself pulled into its very heart, farther than he could imagine, where a twisted mass of metal and flesh blocks...something.
He suddenly starts to reality, realizing that it’s been barely a second since he cast his spell.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (14) + 16 = 30
Zaidel looks to the fey lord and notices something's wrong.
"Liriiestil. Are you okay?"

Zaidel Michigan |

"C'mon!" Zaidel spoke, with concern on his face. "Let's head back to the Court." The godling directed the elf lord and the others out of the cairn.

Liriiestil |

Sorry, I've had a busy last few weeks.
It takes Liriiestil several long moments before he replies to Zaidel "I think so, had an awful waking nightmare. Or perhaps a premonition. Either way, you're right, we need to move."

GM Coyote |

It's a long and rather tedious journey as they begin to leave the barrow. After exiting the ruined palace, they see Talwyn standing outside of the door. He seems, in some ways, less withered than he was before, his eyes less clouded and a few leaves beginning to grow on his wings. He says, "I am sorry I could not come to you when I was called. The darkness was greater than it ever had been. Now though, I can see again. Not as well as I used to, but I feel as if a weight has been lifted."

Zaidel Michigan |

"A great evil has been stopped, for now", reports Zaidel. "Let us escort Lord Liriiestil back to the King of Dandelion's court."

Liriiestil |

Been kinda sickly this week.
"I am glad you are feeling better Talwyn. Come, let us discuss with the Summer King some sort of just compensation for your centuries of stewardship." Lir still seems a bit out of sorts, but is slowly returning back to his usual good-natured self.

Ericka Goldberg |

Again her mind know things she just did not remember learning.
In a near automated voice she says.
"We located an necromancmatic device deep within the burrow, which has been dealt with."
Then a airhead smile.

Lucas "Hathcock" Martin |

Lucas follows the group, sticking to the shadows with his weapon at the ready.

Work has been crazy with snow season starting, I'll have a post up later today.

The journey out of the barrow is a long and tedious one, though Talwyn regales the party with tales of days long past, even for a fey king like Lir. Stories of the war against the Pretender and the countless balls and dances the Princes of Summer held before the rise of that ancient fey despot.
Eventually, the party steps out of the barrow and beholds the sun once more, even if it is the bleak and dim light of the Hinterlands.

Zaidel Michigan |

"So, Liriiestil, where should we go next?" Zaidel asks the fey lord. "Do we report back to the Unseelie, or go to the Dandelion Court?"

Ericka Goldberg |

Once they are out, Erica sits down on hard ground of the Hinterlands. her odd suit seems to fold away on itself. To revealing a simple set of clothing. She flops bac, head on the ground looking up at the pale sky.
"THAT WAS AMAZING!! the girls back in the scho... Ye I forgot, I'm dead"
She just lays there breathing in the air, lost in her own thoughts.
