Vraxel a static position here at the memorial might be useful, but who knows when this nere do well will strike again. Is there no way for you to find the villain's tracks and lead us back to his lair?

Vraxel |

"I'm better at hiding than tracking by will give it a shot."
track: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11

Vraxel |

I will wait/hide for 2 days.

Alamin Silvergleam |

Vraxel, I'm afraid I'm not much good for hiding. None the less I will wait with you during the nights if you wish it. I feel during the days we will better served in me helping Randtam researching the last of the five prisoners. What would you like me to do?

Vraxel |

I am good at this and can go it alone, the rest of you can make better use of the time.
Take 20 = 34.

Randtam |

I shall study. I trust Vraxel knows what he is doing. If he felt he needed us I hope he would be "halfling" enough to admit it.

Alamin Silvergleam |

As you wish it Vraxel. You know your strengths best. I will remain at the Lorrimar's house and study with Randtam during the day to unlock the secrets of the last prisoner.

day 10 Lopper research: 1d20 + 2 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 2 + 6 = 14

The Lopper (Vance Saetressle): When the Lopper
stalked prey, he would hide in the most unlikely of places,
sometimes for days upon end with only a few supplies to
keep him going while he waited for the exact right moment
to strike. Once his target was alone, the Lopper would
emerge to savagely behead his victim with a handaxe.

Randtam, is there any use we can make of this spirit planchette? I assume the siphons will see use should we encounter any spirits during our travels, but why would the Professor leave us this device?

Vraxel |

I will remain in place for day 2 of the stakeout.

Randtam |

I think about why the Professor wanted us to have this device......
I believe spirits are in the prison and this is one of the reasons we were given this. My Understanding is that we can also use the planchette to communicate with the dead. Perhaps Lorrimar had an intuition that he may be killed, maybe he wants us to communicate with him. Maybe we need to communicate with the Warden's wife? Her name might be the one being spelled out. I shall continue to think on this.

Vraxel |

I shall extend my stakeout another night.

Carrion Crown CAW |

Randtam |

Maybe we should get the planchette appraised?
I try first
appraise: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
[b]Oops I meant the wooden case. But I still wish to study the symbol on the case. I was hoping my lawful good friends would have known something....?[/bold]

Randtam |

I think we need to come up with a question each day to ask Lorrimar using the spirit planchette.
Question: Was the Whispering Way responsible for your death?

Vraxel |

I will follow being stealthy as possible.
stealth: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16

Yes

Uuranex and Alamin: while.Vraxel is out, what are some possible yes/no questions I can ask the Professor's spirit to help us gain information to find his killers?

Uuranx |

did you know your murderer?
was he a town member?
are town members involved?
that's all I could think of right now...

Keep eyes and ears out for any sign of the figure. If that doesn't work I will try to track.

Tell me when Day 13 starts. I reread the professor's notes hoping it may grant me insight and help with my questioning.

Maybe tomorrow we can go investigate to see if there are tracks to follow that the sun can reveal?

Does anyone else hear that?

"Alamin, I hear something too, sounds like its coming from the front door."
I draw my blade, move to the front door and open it.
