Vraxel |

To myself: Something is wrong.
I grab a couple of my daggers and stealthily leave my room to check on the Professor and his daughter.
stealth: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (1) + 13 = 14
perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15

Vraxel |

"It's Vraxel, what's wrong, why are you crying?"

Vraxel |

"I am sorry, that is terrible."
pause
"Do you want to talk about it or would you rather be left alone?"

Vraxel |

"Do you think his death was an accident, your work is not exactly completely accepted by the local people. Have you thought about using your divining powers to look into what happened?"

Vraxel |

"Is there anyone else you can trust that might help us?"

Carrion Crown CAW |

She sips from her tea, seeming to realize that her words are just spilling out now that there is someone to talk with. As for people to trust that might help, I'm not sure what there is to help with except the burial; and as for helping "us" and people I can trust, can I trust YOU, and if so will you help me in whatever lies ahead? We barely know each other; what's more you barely know anything about yourself!
She frowns, I'm sorry, that came out wrong. Forgive me; it is the grief talking. Of course I accept your help. You can help me close my father's affairs and I will continue to help you regain your strength and try to restore your lost memories.
She looks blankly into space, buidling a list in her head, He'll need pall bearers I suppose, and I can't see any of the "good" townsfolk stepping in to give him a proper service. Maybe the folks that Vashian mentioned from the father's will could help? I don't know. Then there's the reading of the will and the closing of his affairs. Oh...what a mess...

Vraxel |

"I want to help because your father helped me when I was a complete stranger. Who is Vashian? And who are the people named in the will?"

Carrion Crown CAW |

Vraxel |

"When and where is the summons taking place?"

Carrion Crown CAW |

Ser Sukkadicca, It is with regret that I must inform you that you are named and summoned for the reading of Doctor Petros Lorrimer's last will and testament; being that he is recently deceased. Please come with all haste to the town of Ravengrow as his burial is set for a week from this writing and the will shall be read closely thereafter. Professinally yours, Vashian Hearthmount
The letter was written 2 days ago. It is 2 days hard travel to Ravengrow from your small Collegium of Art.

Vraxel |

To Kendra: "Is there anything we need to do in order to prepare?"

Carrion Crown CAW |

Thanks Vraxel; it's been good to talk to someone and clear my mind a little. I'm going to turn in and I'll see you in the morning.

Vraxel |

"Good night."
I head back to my room to catch some more z's.

Azzakan |

I travel in haste to make sure my final thoughts and prayers can be given to Lorrimer and his family. Sad time for me. He was an incredibly intelligent intellectual with an abundance of knowledge. His knowledge went from the simplest to the most complex. He was a true kindred spirit.

Kendra-Hello Randtam, welcome and thanks for responding to the summons so quickly. Come in and I'll make you some tea. She turns and remembers that there is someone else there with her, Oh I'm so sorry, Randtam, pleae meet Vraxel a new acquaintance of the family

Vraxel |

"Hello Randtam, it is good to meet a friend of the professor's, though I am saddened by the circumstances that have brought you here."

Vraxel |

To Randtam: "I have only know the professor for a few weeks but that was long enough to know he was a good man. He took me in after I washed up on the shores of the Lake. I have no memory of how I got there and no memories of my past for the most part, but I believe I grew up on and worked along the rivers and lakes in the area as I keep dreaming of rafts and I know how to swim pretty well, which is a bit uncommon among my folk. How is that you came to know the professor? And what is the nature of your profession?"

Vraxel |

"Are you okay Randtam? I think the sad news and your strenuous journey have taken a toll. You should get some rest my new friend."

Randtam |

To Vraxel: Maybe the hardship of my travels have caught up with me. It is good to meet you.
Kendra. How can I help you through this time. Sorry is not enough. Your father told me how much he loved you. How may I assist?
To myself: I sure did see a half elf rouge named Caldir...maybe my youth is catching up with me.

Maybe you did see Caldir the rogue, but that is why you can edit your posts!

To Randtam: "Soon, I think we are waiting for others to arrive."

From the parlor Kendra calls you both, Guys, tea is ready! Come on in fromt the foyer and sit and talk. I'll make up some sandwiches. At that exact moment, again there is a solid knocking at the door.
Another guest perhaps? Good thing a made a large pot of tea..
She pushes past the two of you and opens the door. Standing in open doorway is perhaps the most beautiful woman you have ever seen; like an angel come down from above to visit the realm of mortals. An angel with a gleaming breastplate, heavy steel shield, and fine looking scimitar strapped to her side.

Alamin Silvergleam |

Voice sounding like a subtly strummed harp, Good afternoon, my name is Alamin Silvergleam and I was a friedn of the good Professor Lorrimor. Looking at your face you must be his daughter Kendra; you have his eyes and he always talked about how beautiful your mother was. I have come in answer to the summons of his will and moreover to pay my respects and lay his body to rest. The sun shine ever over his soul.

Alamin Silvergleam |

Gentlemen, good eve and greetings. The sun shine always on your fortunes. I am Alamin Silvergleam, priestess of Sarenrae and honored friend of the Professor.

Vraxel |

"Greetings Alamin, it is good to meet a friend of Lorrimor."

Alamin Silvergleam |

The light has gathered the Professor. He hopefully has a smile in his mind, I know he does. But I know through our missives he seemed agitated about something. Yet he did not tell me what was bothering hom. Do he open himself to you?
I had not spoken with the good Professor in many months and his mind was closed to me. He was a well learned man and when the mind is full of facts it can be clouded by the troubles of possibility. At least that's what he always said. I can hear him lecturing me now. Ahh. her smile lights up the room, All that conjecture and theory was always beyond my grasp. It is enough for me to know that the sun will always rise in the East and set in the West and that the blessings of the goddess will shower on all of those that will accept them.

Uuranx |

My name is Uuranx. I am sorry to bother you. I considered Professor Lorrimor as clan and have come to honor his memory.

Carrion Crown CAW |

Kendra-Hrmm, yes. Well I guess it's fitting that my father would have made such an eclectic group of acquaintences. Come in, Uuranx is it? Watch your head, I'm not sure that we've ever had a visitor of your uhhh stature here before. Let me introduce you to the others summoned by my father's will: the man is Randtam (or sometimes Azzakan), the halfling Vraxel, and the woman is named Alamin.
