Seeing the commotion escalating Chief Gutwad rises to give a speech. Slorb rushes to side to provide the licktoads with the chief's words. He points to the four goblins and says "These be real heroes! They do dares and chase away bad luck of Scribbleface! Tomorrow they go to bring back more fireworks! More fireworks to burn the longshanks!"
The licktoads erupt into loud cheers at the mention of burning longshanks. Slorb continues "For their being so heroes and not dying in dares and bringing back fireworks Cheif Gutwad give you three treasures that you take." he says looking at the heroes.
He brings out three covered items and hands them to the heroes. All the goblins are in awe of the treasures that have been handed to the heroes! "Now take your map, rest for one night and go bring back fireworks no bring back yourselves. Ever!"
As the heroes unwrap the items they find:
1) “Dragon Brew Gourd” (an elixir of fire breath).
2) "Gorge of Glutton" a +1 dogslicer that functions as a bane weapon when utilized against horses (improving to a +3 dogslicer that inflicts an additional 2d6 points of damage on a successful hit).
3) Ring That Lets You Climb Real Good (a ring of climbing);
And so the night of celebration comes to a close.
Distribute them amongst yourselves as you see fit. If you want I call roll to see who get what if more than one person wants an item or you can rotate the items between yourselves after each encounter.

![]() |

"I like ring! Climbing trees!"
Someone else also wants it? I'd prefer rolling for it instead rotating after each encounter.

![]() |

Once the heroes have divided the gifts from the chief between themselves they retire to their huts to rest the night.
The next morning Slorb comes to find you, "Come. Time to go! Chief speak to you before you leave." As slorb leads you through the village, you see some of the damage from the previous night and few drunken goblins passed out near the goblin cages. Chief Gutwad is waiting for you at the broken path leading away from the village.
Chief Gutwad hold points to something on the ground, on closer inspection you realise they are fireworks! "These be the last of the fireworks. Take them to aid you. Come back with more fireworks and be heroes or we finds you and feeds you to Squealy Nord for reals!" The Chief then turns away and escorted by Slorb walks back to the village.
On inspection of the fireworks you find stash 2 Desnan candles, 4 paper candles and 1 skyrocket.
wooden tube launches a flaming pyrotechnic “candle”
every round for 4 rounds. Each projectile deals 1 point
of nonlethal damage and 1 point of fire damage if it
hits; on a critical hit, the target is also blinded for 1
round. The projectiles shed light as candles for 1 round
and have a range increment of 5 feet. Attacking with a
Desnan candle is a ranged touch attack and always has a
–4 nonproficiency penalty.
(1 gp): This finger-sized explosive
detonates noisily 1 round after lighting. Anyone in the
same square as a paper candle when it explodes must make
a DC 15 Fortitude save or be dazzled for 1d4 rounds.
tube begins to shake and emit a handful of white sparks,
shedding light as a torch. One round later it takes
flight, moving in a straight line with a fly speed of 90
for 1d6 rounds before loudly exploding in an burst of
light and sound, dealing 2d6 points of fire damage in a
10-foot burst (DC 15 Reflex save for half ). If a skyrocket
impacts a solid surface or a creature before reaching its
maximum range, it detonates prematurely at the point
of impact. Anyone who takes damage from the explosion
is either blinded or deafened (a 50% chance of either) for
1 round.

Seems like no one else wants the ring so I'll take it. Let me know if you want it after all.
Lord Zekk, how much does the ring add to climb?
Glab takes the Ring That Lets You Climb Real Good and puts it on one of his ugly fingers.
The next morning Chief Gutwad is waiting for the heroes and presents them some neat fireworks. Glab dives toward the Paper Candles and takes one. "Dazzle wazzle!"
Don't want to be too greedy so I'll take one for now :)

![]() |

ooo... desan candles makes good fire. I'll take the m instead!. Telegram greedly scoops up the two candles and places them on a large pocket inside his cloak.

Goma Gashi |

Goma will pick up one of the paper candles and put it in his pocket before asking, "No-one want "Gorge of Glutton" dogslicer? Goma take if no-one else.
Goma isn't proficient with the weapon so if anyone else wants it, speak up. All he's going to do is wave it around menacingly :-)

![]() |

"No, no, you take."
Gurgle snorts loudly and pushes its snout against Glab's back. Glab gets in the saddle on Gurgle's back and licks his own nostrils. "We go now? Fireworks will run away."

![]() |

The party of goblins sets off down the broken trail into the woods. The thick tree cover only allowing a portion of the sunlight through. You travel along the broken path, becoming harder to see through the increasingly thick undergrowth. A path is visible up ahead.
This is Lotslegs territory and it would be best for you to be careful.
Roll perception and initiative please.

Goma Gashi |

Goma will grab the rest of the fireworks and stuff them into his pack, "I you change mind, maybe I give you some." he says to nobody in particular
perception (Goma): 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (11) + 0 = 11

Also adding Gurgle's Survival, as he may just happen to notice something like tracks.
Survival (Gurgle): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Uh... bet he won't...

Welcome to your first combat
As you pass through into the clearing, which is uncommon in the forest, a sense of darkness descends and wraps itself around the area. You have a sense that you are not alone. Suddenly, as if from nowhere a spider the size of a longshanks descends upon you.
You are confronted by a black spider larger than any of the goblins. Her hungry eyes savoring it's coming meal, salivating over sight of the goblins standing before her.
Please post your movement using N,S,E,W, and combinations thereof.
Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Nurpuls
Lotsolegs

![]() |

Surprise Round - Lotsolegs acts
Web Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Lotsolegs descends from the trees and thin sticky ropes come flying at Glab anticipating his movement. Glab is so shocked at the appearance of the spider he is frozen where he stands for moment and the spider webs fly harmless in front of him, exactly where he would have been if not for his fear.
He overcomes his momentary shock and is ready to act.

Goma Gashi |

Goma casts mage armor on Tuk Tuk (for total AC:20) and jumps down. Tuk Tuk will move to attack Lotsolegs (will end up standing directly in front of the spider).
bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

Angry the huge spider had fired a web at him and his best friend, Gurgle moves to the spider and attacks it.

Confirming critical: 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 + 1 = 17
Critical damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
"Blab galooga!", Glab shouts from atop Gurgle, firing a flare at the creature.
Move action: W,E,W,W,W,N with Glab on top of Gurgle. (Assuming Tuk Tuk is E of Lotsolegs and moves after Glab and Gurgle, due to the initiative order, would Tuk Tuk get flanking now?)
Standard action Glab: cast flare.
Standard action Gurgle: attack (gore).

![]() |

Goma you will need to do a fast dismount (DC 20 Ride Check) to dismount and make a move action in the same turn. I'll let you re-write that action if you will.
Glab enraged by the web attack of Lotsolonglesgs engages the spider catching it in the face, a sensitive spot, causing the arachnid some excruciating pain.

Teregem quickly pulls out a small crystal flask and hurls it at the imposing spider
Alkali flask: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17 Ranged Touch

![]() |

Forgot the AoO from how Glab described his movements. Map updated.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Glab and Tuk Tuk move in close and attack Lotsolegs. Lotsolegs avoids the blow from the creature making it's move to attack Glab. Glab takes a pincer to the arm, venom dripping into the wound. Glab is a brave goblin and Lotsolegs leaves itself vulnerable when it moves in to bite. Glab see opening and attacks nicely stab-stab-slash-slash in spider face. Lotsolegs screams in pain.
Just then acids come flying, flying landing around Lotsolegs some burning the spider as Teregem has a good throw. Lotsolegs lets out a blood curdling scream and takes off. Running away from what seemed and easy meal.
Damage to Lotsolegs 13. Damage to Glab 2. Leaving his HP at 7/9.
Round 2 starts. You may all act before the spider.

Goma Gashi |

Tuck Tuk takes his AoO...
bite: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 2 = 10
"No let Lotsolegs get away!"
Goma moves forward and casts acid splash
ranged touch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
damage: 1d3 ⇒ 2
then Tuk Tuk charges... bite: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 3 + 2 = 19

Glab takes his quarterstaff in hand, and Gurgle charges toward Lotsolegs to attack the spider again. Moving W,W,W,W,W,W
Gore: 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 + 1 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Together with Gurgle, Glab also attempts to attack the creature.
Attack: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8
"Lumpia!", Glab curses as he misses.

![]() |

As the spider retreats Teregem throws a flask of burning colour water at it. The flask goes hurling through the air towards the spider, landing on the ground in smash and a sizzle, but Lotsolegs is far away enough that none of the acid hits the spider.
Glab and Gurlgle charge towards Lotsolegs very bravely but not too intelligently, almost like a pig jumping into a pot of stew. They both lunge in trying to smash the spider, Glab strikes the spider but does no damage as his blow lands on the armoured torso of the creature while Gurgle's tusks sink into the soft underside of the spider and it falls over.
Goma and Tuk Tuk not to be outdone rush towards the spider as well. Goma tries to cast a spell on the spider but it seems to have no effect but Tuk Tuk's teeth sink into the head of the spider killing the fallen beast.
In spite of the incompetence of the goblins their animal companions make short of the feared spider.
A splash weapon is a ranged weapon that breaks on impact, splashing or scattering its contents over its target and nearby creatures or objects. To attack with a splash weapon, make a ranged touch attack against the target. Thrown splash weapons require no weapon proficiency, so you don't take the –4 nonproficiency penalty. A hit deals direct hit damage to the target, and splash damage to all creatures within 5 feet of the target. If the target is Large or larger, you choose one of its squares and the splash damage affects creatures within 5 feet of that square. Splash weapons cannot deal precision-based damage (such as sneak attack).
You can instead target a specific grid intersection. Treat this as a ranged attack against AC 5. However, if you target a grid intersection, creatures in all adjacent squares are dealt the splash damage, and the direct hit damage is not dealt to any creature. You can't target a grid intersection occupied by a creature, such as a Large or larger creature; in this case, you're aiming at the creature.
If you miss the target (whether aiming at a creature or a grid intersection), roll 1d8. This determines the misdirection of the throw, with 1 falling short (off-target in a straight line toward the thrower), and 2 through 8 rotating around the target creature or grid intersection in a clockwise direction. Then, count a number of squares in the indicated direction equal to the range increment of the throw. After you determine where the weapon landed, it deals splash damage to all creatures in that square and in all adjacent squares.

"We win! I hit Lotsolegs, he fall ofer!"
Glab jumps off of Gurgle's back and onto the dead spider. There he starts dancing. "Wooka wooka!"

![]() |

oops, you are right, I should have looked at the combat map :P
Teregem bounces around happily at the fallen creature, Quickly, take its legs to show chieften we ARE heros! After a moment the little goblin stops bouncing about and looks about. I wonder if we would find anything here from his other meals? Lets look!
Teregem quickly begins to scour about looking for anything the Lotsolegs may have been eating.
perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

Goma Gashi |

Goma will climb back up into the saddle, "Let's take a look around and see if we can find it's nest."
"As you wish..."
Goma perception: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (13) + 0 = 13
Tuk Tuk perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19 (scent)

![]() |

This is hilarious, the evil dice have forsaken you all.
Nurpuls leads the way and the goblins race off eager to see where the tracks lead. Following, following, following, up the hill and down the stream, under the branch and over the fields through the forest and into the clearing and oh look! It's a dead spider!
You end up right where you started.
Teregem, I suggest you give it a go, take 10 if you like.

Goma Gashi |

"Wait! Wait! Tuk Tuk will sniff out trail!"
Tuk Tuk:survival: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (19) + 0 = 19
A creature with the scent ability can attempt to follow tracks using Survival untrained. The typical DC for a fresh trail is 10. The DC increases or decreases depending on how strong the quarry's odor is, the number of creatures, and the age of the trail. For each hour that the trail is cold, the DC increases by 2.

![]() |

Tuk Tuk is a skilled tracker and has no trouble following the trail directly south of the creek through the soggy, mossy tree branches. The lair itself consists of a deadfall of several old trees. Scattered amid the trees are dozens of bodies, some of which are goblins, but a few of which are humans.
You notice something glimmering under a some of the bodies. On closer inspection you find 24 gp, a Small masterwork light crossbow with 11 bolts, a single pearl, two potions of cure moderate wounds, a potion of bull’s strength, a potion of bear’s endurance, and a wax-paper-sealed package containing six pieces of licorice-flavored taffy (this taffy is strong enough to remove any lingering sickened effects left over from the previous night’s bonfire events)
-Posted with Wayfinder

Teregem dives into the bodies and filth of the creatures lair. perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Oh boy! Look what Teregem found! Sticky candy, a stick shooter and vials of strange colors!
Teregem will inspect each vial and determine what each are.
Bull's strength: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 Don't know what this one is, I think they brewed it wrong.
Bear's Endurance: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26 This one defiantly Potion of Goblin Lasting! Drink and feel better and resist diseases and such!
Cure Moderate Wounds: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 Another dud, this guy couldn't make good potions if he tried!

![]() |

And once again, the incompetent goblins proceed with the help of an animal companion.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
"Mine!", Glab screams and dives onto the small masterwork light crossbow and its bolts. He then quickly takes one of the licorice-flavored taffies and puts it in it's mouth without removing the wrapper.
"This taste weird!"

![]() |

Glad, I already told everyone what ws s in the pile.
Teregem quickly drops the stick shooter at Glab's feet and ducks for cover as the goblin insanely jumps at him.

Goma Gashi |

Goma: "Would you like some toffee?"
Tuk Tuk: "Thank you, no."
Goma: "Suit yourself."
Gama will take a piece of toffee and stuff it into his mouth. "NomNomNomNom."

The goblin heroes continue down the path from what they read on the map. After a turn of the glass they seem to have reached their destination. The point indicated on Scribbleface’s map isn’t quite on the coast, but it’s close enough to hear the faint susurrus of waves crashing on an unseen swampy shoreline. The site itself is obvious once it is approached—a large wrecked ship lodged in a shallow pool of swamp water. Driven aground decades ago during a particularly violent storm that flung the ship several hundred feet into the flooded swamp. The ship itself is a two-masted Chelish sailing vessel with strange, faded writing on its bow. The ship itself is quite old—it crashed here several decades ago.
As you approach the you can smell rotting wood and you hear the sinister sound of barking and horse snorting. You are unable to discern the source of the sound or how many creatures surround you, if at all. Due to the nature of this swampy area. it sounds like it's all around you.
The shipwreck itself is upright, held in place by the mud and sludge it now sits in and supported by thick growths of marsh gorse and other foliage. The derelict leans toward its stern at a noticeable but not unwieldy angle, and its railings are as decorated with hanging moss as they are with goblin skulls and bits of bone—leftovers from Vorka’s meals over the past several years.

The crossbow and the quiver now attached to his bag, Glab drops ten sling bullets to the floor. "No needing those now!", he says as he puts the sling in Gurgle's saddlebags. Glab then picks up 6gp, leaving 18gp for the other goblins.
After a lot of walking Glab sees the ship. However he smells the rotten wood first, which reminds him of home. Glab stands still and looks at the ship, then sees the goblin skulls. "Look look! That no good!"
