I think it was some terrible dice rolls. Truly awful. Shouldn't have been that hard. But, Blackerly is also one of the two toughest opponents here, and I'm going to give you guys some pots to help make up for everything you spent there.

Affyria Strex |

Before we get much further, did any of the PCs have special/necessary items on them at the time they were arrested that would have been within the usual starting wealth for them?
I'm thinking of particular types of weapons that folks have specialized in, holy symbols, etc. (not a catalog of bedrolls, rations, etc.).
The only thing that comes to mind now for Affyria would be an Asmodean holy symbol, but she's got one of those already, and a heavy mace.

Timo Zoci |

I added everything to the loot list except the stuff found in the storage room.

Timo Zoci |

Oops I missed the flask and unknown substances when I was going back through the posts. I'll add them. Also, everyone has edit access to the spreadsheet.

Daidalos Icarum |

*Raises hand
So... My spellbook is currently on the Astral Plane?
(Secluded Grimoire is awesome.)

GM Snowheart |

So... My spellbook is currently on the Astral Plane?
(Secluded Grimoire is awesome.)
They found it! :-O
Or not. It's still there, then, and not in the prison. Couldn't remember if you'd decided to do that or not.

Javell DeLeon |

If no one minds, I'd like the Blackerly's chainmail as I prefer fighting 2handed. I'm assuming "finely crafted longsword" means MW. Would Morthos be the best one for it? Finally, can it be assumed that the two guards in the hall have the same gear as the rest?
Take it, bud. Morthos could use the longsword. But if you prefer it, he'd probably go with the battleaxe. But I notice there's a greatsword in the pile so I'd guess your probably gonna roll with that. :)

Javell DeLeon |

Just so I'm clear - because I feel like it's probably best that I clarify - Morthos does not plan to get free and go chase the King down.
It's simply just talk, futuristic goals if he survives that long. Think 20th level type thing(not sure if this AP goes that high but you get the gist), m-kay? Please take it for nothing more than that. Just talk.
With his first failure he now realizes it's far easier said than done. Lesson learned and all that. :)

GM Snowheart |

Yeah, hopefully we will get that far but, in fact, this AP does go to level 20. The final battles look fun as heck.
Revenge upon the king happens before that (I think it's book 4?).

Javell DeLeon |

@Snowheart: Is the bag within the handkerchief just a bag or is it possibly a bag of holding(which would be totally cool!)? Or would Morthos even be able to tell? You know, funny thing, I played this game back in the day and I don't remember the bag at all. :P The daggers I do. Not the bag or anything else for that matter. Except maybe the window. For some reason that seems like a vague memory. :P *Shrugs*
And 2 potions go to Asturu and 2 to Price. Again, if either of you need another, simply say so.
And there's a ton of ranged weapons and arrows so take all you need, folks.

GM Snowheart |

I.... truly have no idea what you're talking about. [-;
Handkerchief? If I wrote that, definitely a typo or autocorrect fail.

Javell DeLeon |

Yeah, hopefully we will get that far but, in fact, this AP does go to level 20. The final battles look fun as heck.
Does it really?! That's freaking cool.
Revenge upon the king happens before that (I think it's book 4?).
And are you serious?! Ha! That's awesome! I was thinking it pretty much wasn't part of the story and it was more like an afterthought really.
That's pretty cool.

Javell DeLeon |

I.... truly have no idea what you're talking about. [-;
Handkerchief? If I wrote that, definitely a typo or autocorrect fail.
lol! Veil! I mean veil. Oops. :P
Yeah, that's not nearly as sentimental or attractive. "Here, take this thing I blew my nose on. It'll help you get it out if you just pick the magic stuff off of it." :P Oh man that's just gross.

Timo Zoci |

I thought the bag on the veil was the spell component pouch that someone (Daidalos?) was using.

GM Snowheart |

Ah! Okay, yeah...
So, top-right of the image is a bullseye lantern, full, lit and shuttered
Bottom-left (the bag) is a sack full of spell components (all worth less than 1gp) and common clothes in the PCs' sizes (ooooh, I forgot that last part... woulda been nice so y'all didn't have to run around half nekkid)
Bottom row to the right of the thieves tools is a window... 2' by 4', up to 2' deep.
Stack of coins was 100gp.

Timo Zoci |

Ah! Okay, yeah...
Stack of coins was 100gp.
So a stack of coins ... not a pile of bricks ... got it.

Daidalos Icarum |

I don't know, bricks might be helpful if they conjured a wall of some sort.
That being said, I do think the door creates a door on a wall, opening a hole. It just doesn't make sense otherwise.

Inëlûkii |

tried to add INeluki's name to the loot list on the 'dagger' line from the armory, but form won't let me type in the field... do I need permission to the list?

GM Snowheart |

Yeah, looks like the first two sheets are protected, and one of the formula cells on the individuals' sheets is also protected.

Timo Zoci |

Oh ... I thought when I set the link to edit that would have done it. Let me see if I can unprotect it.
Sheets should now be fully editable.

GM Snowheart |

By the way, Affyria and Luke... kudos on adding images to your stat block. I like that idea. Give yourselves another Hero Point. You can now afford to avert death! Woo hoo!
Everyone else, whether it's in your statblock or on your profile page, take a Hero Point if you add an image or two to give a proper visual of how you see your character.

Inëlûkii |

awesome, thanks!

Affyria Strex |

Timo Zoci |

Guess I'll have to find some art ... Maybe I can draw it myself ... does a stick figure count? :P

Javell DeLeon |

Hey, Timo, try this: Possible Timo?
This kind of reminds me of Timo.

Price |

Timo Gimme that Damn Ring Version

Javell DeLeon |

Price |

Timo IN ACTION!
Yur welcome.

Asturu Renaro |

@Javel, thanks, I should use one and get him back up to speed. I'm sort of waiting for a reply on whether or not I can use my daily extracts so I don't have to burn valuable resources :D
@Timo > Maybe this one would work? I like including 'deviantart' in my google searches when on the prowl for character art :)

Inëlûkii |

Asturu, I particularly like your first one, hope he picks it

GM Snowheart |

Asturu, you definitely have alchemical reagents. Sorry. I should have thought to specify that.

Daidalos Icarum |

I, too, think Asturu's first picture was awesome.
For those interested, this is my mental image of Daidalos.

Inëlûkii |

lol, Daid - I use the same pic for my aasimar rogue.

Daidalos Icarum |

Great minds think alike ;)

GM Snowheart |

Lol. It must be a top hit for "male aasimar" or something. I used it for an aasimar cleric of Calistria with a hard on for revenge.

Daidalos Icarum |

I think the official title is "aasimar paladin," but I found it in a search for "aasimar sorcerer." All in all, though, it's just a quality picture.

Timo Zoci |

Wow drop one little joke comment and it blows up ... well lets see what we got.
Hey, Timo, try this: Possible Timo?
This kind of reminds me of Timo.
First one is pretty good. Not feeling the second.
Timo Gimme that Damn Ring Version
Nope ... this one looks too much like a wraith.
Maybe Timo without the helm? :)
I like it ... I think it really captured his vicious streak, though I really saw Timo with Dark, nearly pitch black hair.
Timo IN ACTION!Yur welcome.
YES!! This totally captures his essence ;)
@Timo > Maybe this one would work? I like including 'deviantart' in my google searches when on the prowl for character art :)Or this one.
They are nice pieces, but I'm not quite feeling them.
I'll look around and see what I can find.

Timo Zoci |

So after a brief search I think I found something I like.
In first place is Price's Timo in Action gif
In second is this piece.

Timo Zoci |

It reminds me of an old Order of the Stick comic where everyone is trying to be sneaky and the dwarf is behind them CLANG CLANG CLANG

Daidalos Icarum |

Wasn't that followed by Elan stripping naked?

Affyria Strex |

Since you're our resident blondie, go ahead then, I'm sure Affyria won't mind.

Timo Zoci |

Found it
http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0024.html
And the one following it.

Daidalos Icarum |

Ah, I have no ACP to worry about in the first place.
But if it ended with me getting a Cat's Grace buff, it might be worth it.

Javell DeLeon |

Bit hard to say what's going on, with the map not being updated to showcase the current whereabouts of all the players, but Asturu can either flank the north door or enter the room from the hallway when the fighting starts.
Ultimately Morthos was going to flank with Timo on whichever side of the door. But if that's what you wanna do it's no biggie to me. Just let me know.
I'd say, the 2 of us that are flanking the door, another of us could be pretending to be unconscious and face down about 15' from the door. The unconscious one would have the tabard on and the instinctive reaction for the guard(s) would be for them to immediately investigate(or possibly look around for signs of trouble).
I'm guessing that's probably a pretty huge stretch seeing how we'd have to be unseen and we also have the ogre to do something with.
Probably best we just pummel the first one through and go from there.
