Still here. I think it's time to re-recruit, and move on in the mean time.
We still have 4 active players I think. Any classes we are sorely lacking? Otherwise I think we can move on "as is". Fewer members might mean a quicker pace.
I think that would work fine. We have really big martial damage potential with you, me and and Mai, and our new bard is really versatile.
Our biggest weak spot is that we don't have anyone who can disarm traps or pick locks.
I'm willing to go with the "barbarian key" approach, and just batter down doors. Once we start picking up magic items, maybe a Chime of Opening and some Skeleton Keys would pad that limitation.
As for traps, maybe a wand of Summon Monster.

The BDB (Big Dumb Brute) School of Adventuring is fun sometimes. To use 2e AD&D terms, you'll have 100% to pick locks and detect traps (aka: smashing through them).
... also, my apologies for being a bit slow of late. I've been having some connection issues of late that I hope are now resolved.
True, we do still have a fairly complete party. I'm simply disappointed that we lost people whose characters were interesting and enjoyable so far; now we may never know how they would have developed.
It does mean Uta will have to handle the brunt of healing duties, knowledge, and arcane solutions at once. Sounds like a challenge to me, uta. You up for it?

(though I will admit my generic "arcane power rawr!" is a bit diminished compared to most... limited spells known for bards, and being level 1, and all that)
I think it's ok. Bards were originally designed as a wizard-rogue hybrid. Uta manages to throw cleric in there as well. It just means he gets to shine a lot.
As long as we can get ahold of some healing items soon, I think we'll be ok.

well, etiquette is a wonderful thing, in that it is the courtesy that counts. as a rule, I always hit preview first, to check for typos and formatting, etc., but slip-ups happen. DM=final arbiter though.

I just came on to say I am sick right now. Like been to the hospital, haven't been out of bed in four days sick. I am not sure when it will break so I can't give you a day that I will definitely be back. Anywhere from a day to a week.

Well I am starting to recover even though I still have a cough, and it turned into an ear infection (I think/hope because otherwise my ear is hurting very painfully for another reason) today which sucks. I should get things back in order and be able to post tonight or tomorrow. I am on my week of vacation from work as well starting tomorrow.

Any pain that originates in the head area is no laughing matter. Had a wisdom tooth go bad once. Couldn't feel my teeth, but I sure felt the pain. All those nerve clusters right next door to the brain? yeah, earaches'll do that to ya too.
That did not work out according to planned. I ended up flying to AZ, and didn't have internet access. I didn't post anything because I was suppose to have it. I will be posting now whoever is still with us here.

Before actually entering the palace itself, Uta would like to lead the group to the closest safe house to it he can, so that he may bless the endeavor with a Tea Ceremony. Cleanse the body, mind and soul before embarking on the dangerous journey (and provide mechanical benefits as well: inspire courage, inspire competence, inspire greatness, or inspire heroics lasting for 10 minutes after the ceremony is done).
Other than that, not really. The tending to the burial grounds and performing the new song written still to be written to honor this meeting with Hogasha can happen once the area is safe.

...yes they have internet cafes in tijuana, even starbucks-- which had free internet, but $5 coffee, so it was the same diff.
and to be completely honest it was $5 a day. i went back for an hour on 3 different days. so i was exaggerating a little.
point being, i think i had the most limited internet access of anyone. couldn't borrow a friends computer, or use one at work, for example. still, i am the most recent poster in gameplay. which makes me a little sad.
Yeah, still trying to catch a break. We had a death in the family on Tuesday. Tomorrow is the viewing and family stuff, Saturday is the funeral. I will be back on Sunday, best I can do now. It is something new every week and it is getting old fast so I know you guys must be frustrated.

While I cannot speak for everyone, I say take what time you need. Real life, especially ones personal health (physical and mental) and ones family must always come first in my opinion. Always. When you are ready and able, we (well, I will, at least) will still be here, waiting and ready.

Well then, I stand corrected. Not sorcery, but wizardry. PFFT.
Oh, and I found another 3 archetype combo with the paladin, heh. warrior of the holy light/sword of valor/oath against undeath. got passed over for the specific recruitment, but I'll be throwing him into a game next chance I get.
Apparently there's a Monk build that can use 4 archetypes. I don't think it's very good though.
Poor rogue gets completely shafted with the archs. it's all trapfinding and trap sense trades; one of the core reasons to pick a rogue over anything else, and they want you to trade it away? riiiiiight...
If I want to play a trapspringer rogue, I play a Crypt Breaker alchemist.
In my opinion, the only reason to go into rogue at all is for the first level of Thug if you're building an Intimidate based fighter or antipaladin. (Thug+Dazzling Display or Cornugon Smash is pretty awesome)
Wow, that's sad. A whole class left by the wayside in favor of archetypes from a different class. Methinks maybe archetypes have gotten a little out of hand?
Or at least the ones that make one class feel too much like another.
