Greetings.
*bows deeply*
I am the one Arcmagik/DundjinnMasta reached out to from the "another play-by-post site" mentioned above. Baring any GM amendments (and the opportune time for in game introduction), my Bard is ready for action. I hope I can live up to the standards set before me, and I greatly look forward to roleplaying with you all.

It's possible to add in the Celebrity Archetype as well (4 at once!), but that one does not fit my current concept for Uta. Also, who wants to lose out on Inspire Courage anyways? Not me!
Bard isn't the only class that can stack 3 or more. Monks can do three (Sacred Mountain + Four Winds + Ki Mystic is one that I played before. I think Sacred Mountain + Four Winds + Drunken Master is also legal). I haven't delved to deeply into many others. In the end, it's all about the concept of the characters I'm hoping to play (and for most, one or no Archetypes works perfectly... just not this time).

hehehe...
The Bard in me appreciates the dramatic tension! :D
The human in me is shaking with anticipation to finally get introduced in game!!! >_<
Alas, I was going to say I will simply talk to DundjinnMasta in the chat room of the other pbp site we frequent, but a recent power outage took out its server, so I can't even do that right now! I'm just going to tell myself that he's busy with the LARP, and be patient.
*gets twitchy regardless*

They have been fairly out of hand for awhile, but it is my own fault for waiting so long on finish it up. It won't be much longer until I return to full activity as the convention is the weekend of the 22-24. So post Feb 25th I don't have another thing to worry about for six months (not waiting another year to get started on it again lol).

Does Uta know what "Mamoru" means? I'm assuming Protector (the actual Japanese name "Mamoru" does mean "protect", but in the context of this game, would I know that it is a title, and would I know what that title entails?)
I'm also not sure (due to the nature of Onitora) which Knowledge skill would represent that information (if it's a title specific to his race, or something more common place). I'm thinking either Local or Nobility or maybe even Planes if you're part Oni? (or a combination of the three)... of course I have all three, so huzzah! Should I roll something/anything anyways?

DundjinnMasta |

Oh right. Mamoru... I overlooked that completely somehow.
Given your history then you likely met another Mamoru. You would know the title. Sometime in the past the Teikoku dynasty entered into a pact with the race that the Mamoru come from. A Mamoru is sent to protect the heir of the Teikoku, and if one Mamoru survives then his duties are passed to the next heir. A new Mamoru appears sometime after another one has died to take up the duties. That is all you know about them.

I think we may have lost Tampalasan, and Yumi at some point in my absence (understandably). I just want to confirm that everyone else is still active anyways, so let me hear some sound offs!
Mai Seori?
Mikiko?
Uta?
Mamoru?
Tampalasan?
Yumi Ken?
Anyone that hasn't sounded off by Wednesday then I will seek to recruit replacement for them. Trying to get all my games flowing again now that I got myself on a good schedule again. Some of these names may seem redundant because they have posted in the gameplay thread, but I just included everyone for sake of completion.

Makiko-
I'm also playing a character of few words. The advice I got about how to do that without making the GM or other players feel like they should wait on me is to make posts describing my character's silent mannerisms or internal monologue. It keeps me in the habit of posting regularly too.
Might work for you also.

I don't mean to come off as an insensitive jerk (I really hope I'm not)... but... if we do end up loosing Tampalasan and Yumi (I really hope we don't. I was looking forwards to interactions and playing with them)... would we describe it as "they never wake up", which would be a painless passing / dying while they sleep / not surviving the trip through the dream-world*, but leaving their bodies present for us to see and mourn over... or some other explanation? (they never arrived in my care and we only just realize this? Something else entirely?)
* I'm just making up "dream-world", I actually have (mostly) no idea how the transfer of your bodies from the temple to my care truly took place. All that mattered was that you were all asleep and in my care.

Makiko |

Still not clear on where "here" is relative to "there". Is this a dream plane? Is it another part of Golarion? Visions of the past? Things that are happening now?
And it sounds reasonable that for some reason that our missing party members never made the transition from there to here with us.
