@Serolt - I corrected my box so your will save should be accurate in the future.

Combat:
Insp. Courage (+2) shortbow +8(1d4+1), 19/x2 | Deadly Aim (-1,+2) | Cast Def. +9 | BoL 5/5, Agile 5/5
HP 50/50 | AC 19, T 14, FF 16 | CMB +2, CMD 15 | F +6, R +8, W +9; +2 vs. fear, +4 vs. sonic | Init +3, SPD 30 | Perc +10, SM +12 | Halfling Cleric 1, Bard 5 | Effects: None

Oh, I'm not sure if I mentioned this earlier. But my house rule is that magical weapons and armor resize to their wielder. I find it really simplifies getting loot.

The sword is a very useful weapon. And while I can use it, it would probably be a waste seeing how my character is ranged/support.

I personally think the Ring should go to a scout character. Maybe Serolt?

HP: 33/33, AC: 19 (f15/t15), Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +5 [Regin: HP: 45/45, AC: 25 (f22/t15), DR 5/evil, Fort +8, Ref +12, Will +3]

I'm fine being a scouty sort if we like, I do have the skills for it, but the ring does come with some protection which I need less of. Plus I love the idea of the burly Beromar turning into an itty-bitty song bird.

But I'm good with whatever is best for the group.

Dwarf Samurai 6 Init +2, Perception +10, Darkvision AC 24(T 12 FF 22) HP 567/56 CMD 23 (27 vs. Trip/Bull Rush) CMB +11 FORT +8 REF +5 WILL +5 (+2 vs. Mind affecting) (+5 vs. Magic and Poison)

Itty bitty Song bird of death?

I think there was a very long thread about that in the advice boards a while back...

Beromar has no real need for any of the loot...

Fighting as a bird is kind of ridiculous, though I suppose technically possible.

The sword would be worth 4,505 gp. Seems a shame to lose it though. Evil Outsiders are a relatively common enemy.

@Serolt -- Are you sure?

HP: 33/33, AC: 19 (f15/t15), Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +5 [Regin: HP: 45/45, AC: 25 (f22/t15), DR 5/evil, Fort +8, Ref +12, Will +3]

I dunno... Now You've made me nervous... How far are we from town? If it's less than a day, then yes, I'm sure.

If longer, I don't know.

About a day and a half.

P.S. -- Never split the party. I have random encounter tables.

HP: 33/33, AC: 19 (f15/t15), Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +5 [Regin: HP: 45/45, AC: 25 (f22/t15), DR 5/evil, Fort +8, Ref +12, Will +3]

Hehehe, gotcha. Also as it's further than I thought I'll suggest some saplings tied together and we'll drag them.

I was mostly teasing anyways. The saplings is a good idea.

OK folks, I've updated the treasure sheet (link) with the latest loot.

The 400gp each goes to us directly, so note that on your character sheets now. Please check the treasure sheet and post, in character if you like, whatever you think you might want to keep either individually or for a party item.

If no one wants it, I will take the Ring of Seven lovely Colors and be scouty. :)

We haven't had too much trouble with healing, but do we want to buy a wand or two of Cure Light Wounds to help us out? I don't see it on the available list, but maybe we can get stuff shipped from Magnimar over time. That wand of lesser restoration is tempting too, but that would be a big chunk of our current cash. Still... thoughts?

When folks have had time to pour over the loot, I'll sort the rest and let everyone know how much cash we're getting. PLEASE let me know if any of this is unclear.

Oh, if someone's name is next to something you want, we're all a party here, bring it up in character and talk it out. Most groups will shift things around if it makes sense.

Combat:
Insp. Courage (+2) shortbow +8(1d4+1), 19/x2 | Deadly Aim (-1,+2) | Cast Def. +9 | BoL 5/5, Agile 5/5
HP 50/50 | AC 19, T 14, FF 16 | CMB +2, CMD 15 | F +6, R +8, W +9; +2 vs. fear, +4 vs. sonic | Init +3, SPD 30 | Perc +10, SM +12 | Halfling Cleric 1, Bard 5 | Effects: None

The wand of sleep is a definite sell, I would think. It has like a DC 11, which is just sad.

Now the wand of web is not a bad item. I'd lay claim to it, but it's not on the bard list. I think Amaya can use it, but a magus generally isn't much for Battlefield Control. So if she passes, add it to the sell list.

I currently have a wand of cure light wounds, but getting a second is not a bad idea.

I might be interested in buying the +1 shortbow from the Feathered Serpent if my loot take is big enough. I'd be selling my crossbow.

F Monk/Magus 6 [ HP: 47/47 | AC: 19 | T: 18 | FF: 13 | Fort +7 / Ref +5 / Will +6 | Init +4 / Percept +11 ]

I'm in agreement on keeping a second wand of Cure Light Wounds around.

As far as the wand of web... It's not a bad opening move for me. Let me think on it a bit before we spend any money.

Dwarf Samurai 6 Init +2, Perception +10, Darkvision AC 24(T 12 FF 22) HP 567/56 CMD 23 (27 vs. Trip/Bull Rush) CMB +11 FORT +8 REF +5 WILL +5 (+2 vs. Mind affecting) (+5 vs. Magic and Poison)

Beromar isn't gonna claim any of the loot we found. If no one else wants the short sword he will keep it as a backup weapon as I agree evil outsiders tend to be quite common.

Amaya is prolly better suited to using it or is she a staff magus?

Combat:
Insp. Courage (+2) shortbow +8(1d4+1), 19/x2 | Deadly Aim (-1,+2) | Cast Def. +9 | BoL 5/5, Agile 5/5

You're not keeping the boots and cloak, Bero?

Yeah, she is a staff magus, so sadly I don't think it would suit her.

HP: 33/33, AC: 19 (f15/t15), Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +5 [Regin: HP: 45/45, AC: 25 (f22/t15), DR 5/evil, Fort +8, Ref +12, Will +3]

Can anyone use that Perl of Power level 2? It's a great item, but maybe no one casts in that way. I'll plan to sell it if I don't hear from anyone.

Also, both Mruf and Beromar have suggested they could carry the short sword. So who wants it? Seems more likely to be used by Beromar, but I'm fine either way.

F Monk/Magus 6 [ HP: 47/47 | AC: 19 | T: 18 | FF: 13 | Fort +7 / Ref +5 / Will +6 | Init +4 / Percept +11 ]

I could use the Pearl of Power for sure, especially since I lost Spell Recall with my archetype. I'd like to take that and the Wand of Web.

The potion of protection from chaos might be useful to Bruin? And the potion of pass without trace could conceivably be useful to someone?

Yayyy, cold hard cash!

Just a reminder that you can easily find minor magic items worth 1,300 gp or less.

I thought we were only discussing our last finds. But yeah I'd definitly like to Keep the boots unless Folks are wild for cash. In that case we could sell them.

Also I don't have a cloak on my sheet.. was that a +1 Cloak of protection?

A +1 cloak of resistance, yes.

Sorry for the delay. Brutal couple of days. Will move things along tonight.

Uh, everyone okay? Should I go ahead and push forward?

HP: 33/33, AC: 19 (f15/t15), Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +5 [Regin: HP: 45/45, AC: 25 (f22/t15), DR 5/evil, Fort +8, Ref +12, Will +3]

I think so. I wasn't sure what to post, figuring you were going to move us to the celebration after the week's review. :)

Understood. I'll move us to the celebration tonight.

Sorry. Gonna have to post tomorrow. Had a very busy day, and I need to get some rest.

Very long, very crappy week, guys. Just getting back into my games. Will have a post up momentarily. I deeply apologize.

F Monk/Magus 6 [ HP: 47/47 | AC: 19 | T: 18 | FF: 13 | Fort +7 / Ref +5 / Will +6 | Init +4 / Percept +11 ]

Sorry for the silence, I just spent a couple of days moving apartments, I'll be back in full force now.

Sorry for my delay. But I'ts been a brutal few days. I sort of need to be blunt. On Friday, June 9th, my father tried to kill himself. I'm the only close relative to him and so I've been dealing with that. It's been difficult to say the least.

I'm going to be getting back to my games a little slowly. But I do plan on coming back. Because frankly I need RPGs, especially now. I beg your forgiveness and ask for a little patience as I settle back in.

HP: 33/33, AC: 19 (f15/t15), Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +5 [Regin: HP: 45/45, AC: 25 (f22/t15), DR 5/evil, Fort +8, Ref +12, Will +3]

Sorry to hear it!! I hope things settle down and you're able to gain some normalcy after a while.

We'll wait patiently I'm sure. Paizo has had some connectivity problems while you've been gone so all games have been slow the last few days anyway. Take your time.

F Monk/Magus 6 [ HP: 47/47 | AC: 19 | T: 18 | FF: 13 | Fort +7 / Ref +5 / Will +6 | Init +4 / Percept +11 ]

Really sorry to hear that, Ray. :( Of course family definitely takes priority, we'll still be here once things settle down.

Beromar tends to check in pretty frequently. He's probably just having an off couple of days. If he can't post by tomorrow, I'll go ahead and DMPC him.

Poke to Mruf and Amaya.

Busy couple of days. Sorry for not getting back sooner. Will post momentarily.

Beromar is up. I'll update the map when I get home.

We should definitely hold onto the potion of gaseous form. That's one of those cool utility potions that you never find an immediate use for, but sometime down the road it could save our bacon.

And we recently bought a CLW wand, but I don't remember who took it. I want to say Serolt did, but I could be wrong. I have my own CLW wand with 48 charges on it. So I don't think we're in dire need.

I would actually like to claim the Wand of Identify. It's a nice backup in case we fail a spellcraft check. And frankly with so few charges on it, we wouldn't get much money for it anyway. So we might as well hold on to it.

We'll need to hold onto the spellbook for at least a bit, until Amaya decides what spells she wants to learn from it--if any.

By the way, the spellbook would be worth 800 gp when it's sold.

F Monk/Magus 6 [ HP: 47/47 | AC: 19 | T: 18 | FF: 13 | Fort +7 / Ref +5 / Will +6 | Init +4 / Percept +11 ]
Bruin Greenleaf wrote:

It looks like I'd be able to get:

• 2nd- Acid arrow
• 1st- Chill touch, Magic missile, Ray of enfeeblement

So I may as well start learning those!

I could eventually learn Displacement, Stinking cloud, and Vampiric touch from the third level spells, but since that's 3 levels away, I don't mind if we sell the book before then. Vampiric Touch is the only one I'd be particularly interested in and I could just learn it anyway.

Funny you should mention that, since the consensus seems to be rest for the night, rather than keep going, we level up! Congratulations on hitting level 6, guys. Remember to take average HP--half hit die +1.

Since we're all resting in town tonight, if Amaya wants to get cracking on that spellbook she can Take 10 on her spellcraft check.

Dwarf Samurai 6 Init +2, Perception +10, Darkvision AC 24(T 12 FF 22) HP 567/56 CMD 23 (27 vs. Trip/Bull Rush) CMB +11 FORT +8 REF +5 WILL +5 (+2 vs. Mind affecting) (+5 vs. Magic and Poison)

Wand of false life is rather nice. However it would prolly also sell for pretty nice sum as it's level 2...

Also leveling to 6 is also very nice as I get my first iterartive attack and abonus feat.

A cavalier's 6th level bonus feat kinda defaults to Chain Challenge...

F Monk/Magus 6 [ HP: 47/47 | AC: 19 | T: 18 | FF: 13 | Fort +7 / Ref +5 / Will +6 | Init +4 / Percept +11 ]

Wa-hey!

I'm taking the 5th level of Magus. No change to BAB/Saves. +6 HP. Gain the feat Quarterstaff Master. Gain 2 spells known (Bull's Strength, Invisibility), and one additional Level 1 and Level 2 spell per day.

Skill changes are +1 Perception, Sense Motive, Spellcraft, Stealth, Craft Glass, Kn Local.

Taking 10 on Spellcraft for learning spells from the book will also give me a 20, and should take ~5 hours for all of them, so study is likely to be Amaya's entire night.

Combat:
Insp. Courage (+2) shortbow +8(1d4+1), 19/x2 | Deadly Aim (-1,+2) | Cast Def. +9 | BoL 5/5, Agile 5/5

Hmm. I suppose there's no reason we can't wait til noon to start ghoul hunting if Amaya needs the extra time to study and rest. That would give the rest of the party time to take care of buying/selling.

F Monk/Magus 6 [ HP: 47/47 | AC: 19 | T: 18 | FF: 13 | Fort +7 / Ref +5 / Will +6 | Init +4 / Percept +11 ]

I meant "take the entire night" in the sense of "I won't be doing anything else" more than "I won't get to sleep", but admittedly I'm not sure what time we're returning at. But yeah I definitely don't mind sitting out the buying / selling phase.

Combat:
Insp. Courage (+2) shortbow +8(1d4+1), 19/x2 | Deadly Aim (-1,+2) | Cast Def. +9 | BoL 5/5, Agile 5/5
HP 50/50 | AC 19, T 14, FF 16 | CMB +2, CMD 15 | F +6, R +8, W +9; +2 vs. fear, +4 vs. sonic | Init +3, SPD 30 | Perc +10, SM +12 | Halfling Cleric 1, Bard 5 | Effects: None

Well, let's see, here:

3rd level spells: 3 spells * 3 hours = 9 hours
2nd level spells: 1 spell * 2 hours = 2 hours
1st level spells: 3 spells * 1 hour = 3 hours

That's a total of 14 hours. Okay, yeah that's a bit much for a single night. Plus I have to imagine the hand cramps would be brutal. So how about instead we just say that Amaya learns either all the 3rd level spells, or all the 1st and 2nd level spells. She can add the rest on another night.

Or she can pick and choose individually if she prefers.
