Since I feel like most people interested in the game are creating 20th level characters, I went ahead and added 5 levels of mage priest to my character. Since I doubt that I will be using the Names of Power class feature in this "roleplaying experience", we can say its a planar interference. I took a Greater Aspect of Power instead. Effectively trading two levels of class abilities for one level of class abilities from the magister class. :P
Oh, and I introduced the Mind Reading Psychic Feat and Psychic Focus skill from Call of Cthulhu (I can copy them if you need me to). I thought they were fitting with my Psion feat anyway.
I still need to add new spells and level my lion companion up.
Oh, and I spent like 12,000 more than I was supposed to. All in the name of storytelling. =P
I do need to update the profile too, though. :( Forgot about that.

Jen the Housecat |
Introducing Jen the House Cat: Mechanically a Fey-Touched, Common Cat Sorcerer 20//Bard 20.
She had dim memories of her life before the event. As far back as her memory would take her, Jen was just an ordinary house cat. Her owner was just some grunt working at the World Serpent Inn, and they didn't particularly pay attention to each other. After his untimely death in a teleportation accident, Jen was left to fend for herself as a stray, catching mice scampering around in the nooks and crannies of the inn.
She stayed this way contently, for house cats have limited intelligence and little desire to stray outside. Several years passed and she crossed paths with a passing fey, traveling through the inn at the time. With the natural whimsy that fey have, the fey granted Jen a few of the powers of the fey, including intelligence and whimsy. Now an intelligent and easily bored creature, Jen followed many passing adventurers into their portals and explored many worlds, experiencing many new things and becoming learned in the ways of the world. She was seen by the feline gods as remarkably advanced for a lowly race of cat and was granted the power of sorcery, one that was developed throughout her lifetime.
Naturally, the adventurers that she followed were all killed at the hands of CR-Inappropriate encounters or by old age, and this is where we reach this part of the story. Jen the House Cat remains perched, listening and watching, waiting for another interesting adventurer to pass by and strike her fancy.
Mechanically, Jen the Housecat is very Charisma-focused, with Enchantment and Illusion as her primary schools. She also carries around a lot of buffs, which is reason why adventurers don't mind having her follow them around.
Also, she can talk and communicate through dreams, so no worries on the roleplaying issues of getting introduced!
The issue with looking like (and being) a house cat is that I can't really carry around any staffs or obvious looking items, so I have stuff like rings and such magical items, mainly to make sure that I don't randomly die.
It's built using almost entirely Pathfinder rules, except I took several feats from the Fabulous Cats! article from 3.5 WOTC.

Woah, thats a lot of powerful items. Now I feel weak in comparison.

Well, you have a lot of much cooler stuff. It doesn't really make sense for a house cat to be carrying around that sort of stuff, and I had lots of money to spend, so I just got utility stuff for protection. I wonder if anyone remembers the discussion, can a house cat kill a commoner?
Looks can be deceiving. Also, look at Dalnen's mage slayer weapon. That is just insane. :D
Also, when are we starting?

I agree it is insane. And it was made to be that way. Although, I'm not looking forward to trying to make those Ego saves. I have a 50/50 chance of failing. But the backstory the weapon is cool. I had to really think about how I'd make a weapon that was anti-caster without using anti-magic. And the whole resurrection thing is part of the story as well. You'll have to ask about it. ;)
As for starting I think MG said something about Friday of next week.
Also, speaking of house cats killing commoners, I hope everyone remembers this story

Dalnen Vasir - The Crimson Duke |

I too have a faithful companion, but disregard the fact that the familiar and the master look exactly the same. I was thinking about taking leadership to get another two hundred or so house cats, but then I thought, how would the inn hold so many cats in the rafters without anyone noticing? :D
Extra dimensional spaces and lots of fun with bags of devouring. ;)

HD:Going to end up much lower, DM see below19d10 + 270 ⇒ (9, 9, 7, 5, 1, 10, 3, 4, 9, 10, 8, 2, 9, 6, 3, 5, 3, 6, 7) + 270 = 386
Grayson Pearce is undergoing some cosmetic work, and switching around some feats, although the ability modifiersare set. Do you mind if, instead of "Nearly Skeletal," as in the Bestiary 3 description, he's fully skeletal, and his ioun stones have been implanted, as per Ioun stone implantation rules found in Seeker of Secrets? It doesn't really provide a mechanical benefit, but I want parts of his face to have been replaced with Ioun stones. IE, 2 similar stones for eyes, others replacing teeth in his head, stuff like that.
Other than that, there's not much to say. I'll PM you his build later, when I get it finalized, but he's a gestalted Pale Stranger/Mysterious Stranger, and he TWFs. He has high AC, a little bit of DR, some SR, (if SR=6+HD, as it appears to, then this is equal to 26. Shouldn't be a problem for anyone that's trying to affect others with spells, although hopefully combat can be avoided.) Good saves, and the usual undead traits.
In the process of writing this, I think that I've come to the decision that I'm going to take out HP. If you've got a suggestion on how many to take out, feel free, but if not, I'm going to take out at least 150-200.
Edit: Spoiler fixed in a few spots.

Mellaius Selliene |

Alright, I think the main problem was that everyone was using gestalt characters. So, I've gestalted Mellaius with 20 levels of unfettered. He feels a little better now. At least, I should be able to survive for a few rounds if combat should be inevitable.
8 + 19d8 + 20 ⇒ 8 + (2, 7, 3, 2, 5, 6, 3, 5, 5, 5, 2, 8, 8, 2, 6, 7, 4, 3, 4) + 20 = 115
lol, a net gain of 6 hitpoints.
I will update my profile tomorrow.

Damien Rosaltier |

So, all kinds of gestalts, and level 20's, and very interesting characters.
I'd like to submit a level 1 human bard, named Nolan Cypher, follower of Cayden Cailean.
Nothing super fancy about him, except that I'll probably multiclass him strangely later.
Lemme know if you have any problems with a lowbie in a seemingly high-power area :P
I'll stat him out, but I really don't think I'll be using his stats for anything other than bluff, diplomacy, and those damn fort saves that come along with heavy drinking.

Mellaius Selliene |

It wasn't just hp, it was AC too. And melee damage. I know I'm a caster class, and not supposed to get into combat, but my enemies might not know that. :P
Either way, I think I'm good now.
I have that image of when Gandalf was glowing white in The Two Towers and knocked Legolas's arrow down. And I can actually do that now. :P

Monkeygod |

Spells and magic items? I don't rly care if u gestalt, I just don't want you to feel forced to. Remember, combat could, maybe happen, but it shouldn't be the even close to often.
Can I get a run down on alignments?
Also, stas are important, but backstory moreso by like 50.
Finally, I know Mell is finished pretty much, is anybody else?

Shadow Kinkade |

Okay, I think, mechanics wise, my guy is done, sans HP. I've opted to not purchase starting equipment; maybe I will end up buying a handy haversack and placing his trap kit in it. Otherwise, yeah, he's done.
HP: 6 starting, +10 Necromancer:
3d6 + 4d6 + 5d6 + 4d8 ⇒ (2, 4, 4) + (1, 4, 2, 2) + (4, 1, 4, 2, 2) + (4, 1, 8, 5) = 50 (Mage Starting, Mage, Trapsmith, Monk)
Total: 66
Sweet. Well, he's built to freerun through dungeons and build traps, not fight.

Jen the Housecat |
Jen is flawed chaotic good, with leanings towards chaotic neutral. She still has lots of traits of a cat, but generally helpful.
Also, my backstory is more focused on how she came to be, but I prefer making something memorable in-game than working out a rigid and complicated narrative that won't really came into use.

I sort of just want to see what would happen when a WoD Mage meets a Sorcerer/Wizard/Magus from another system. I also want to see what happens when said mage multiclasses...multisystems....Mage/Wizard or something.
Anyway, this sounds like a really interesting idea, and I'll try and come up with something for it. OH! Has anyone done anything with Shadowrun and this yet? It could be interesting seeing cyberpunk, high fantasy, and urban fantasy collide.

shudder Just the thought of trying to couple the WoD Mage magic system with anything else makes me get a migraine. Trying to make a complicated system even more complicated by adding new features is a massively severe undertaking. I wish you the best of luck.
As for Shadowrun, I haven't seen anyone mention anything so far. But that would be an awesome interaction of thoughts/ideas/roleplaying. MG certainly has his work cut out for him trying to get all of this to work together. But as this is mostly an rp game he should be ok.

I was considering running a Runner but despite my running around looking for my Shadowrun Runner's Guide to Running, I just couldn't run it down.
Instead, when I finally get a free chance and am not worried about some other stuff on my plate, I'm going to create a Bartender with a power level over 9000!
We don't have one yet is all I'm saying. >.>
