do I need to make another weapon or do I have more time on the one I've already got... duration is 1 minute per level, so 4 mins total

Zeriax |

Ready for upper level fun?
When the team is ready, Reiko catfoots up the stairs cautiously, wary of trouble.
Zeriax can't really buff much :D
In silence, Zeriax accompanies Reiko on the incursion upstairs - just before they ascend he stops momentarily - "You fought well Reiko" - his amber eyes staring at the woman, trying to pierce the silence she had immersed herself in after they all had thought her lost.
Not dwelling on it, he moves upstairs in tandem with his katana wielding companion.
Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20

Reiko Mura |

Reiko nods at the comment but keeps her eyes on the stairs. "Not well enough." She pauses for a moment, "I shouldn't be here, but I am.... so is that luck, my karma, or Divine intervention? This is what I ask myself."

Zeriax |

"You fought as well as you could" - Zeriax adds - "If you are here, it is because you should be, regardless of the reasons - those we can fathom in meditation later on"

Pakak |

Focusing your magic sight on the item you discover that it is actually a +1 adamantine warhammer. Further more when in the hands of a follower of Torag the user is automatically proficient with the warhammer.
Pakak salvages the hammer from the corpse, speaking to the fallen, "May your spirit rest easy. I shall try to see that I, or anyone else who uses this hammer do it in Torag's name. It is a fine weapon, and its crusade is not done. May you find glory in the great halls of the father of craft," He looks to the others in the group, "Unless one of you is a follower of Torag, I think I shall be claiming this for now."
He rises, ready to follow. He is not deaf to Reiko's concerns, and is glad Zeriax reassures her.
He adds his two copper to the conversation, "You did more than I. My magics are all but gone, and I feel quite ineffective against many of our foes. Still, it is as Zeriax suggests. No one can do better than their best. The gods know this I think." He adds, "That doesn't make it any less frustrating, I know."

Maelchar |

As he gets to the middle of the stairs, Maelchar, expecting the worst, creates another lucerne hammer and casts lead blades on it. Everything in here has been well-defended... there's no reason not to expect the next level up to be the same.
He follows Reiko and Zeriax up the stairs the rest of the way, weapon at the ready.
He lays a hand on Reiko's shoulder as he follows her and puts a Protection from Evil on her (dur. 4 mins)

You are mis-reading that Mael. That's the round count before each of his BBEGs surrender to us due to our sheer awesomeness.
The ronin gives serious consideration to Zeriax's and Pakak's words but offers no opinion, instead focusing on the mission at hand. "Something to be discussed in a safer place, I think." To Mael, Reiko offers a wry smile and a small salute with her blade. "Trying to prevent another bloodletting? I won't object."

I do have my bastions and shield bonus to pass out still.
Garith can lead those not scouting, or stand just behind the Reach users. If they are in front they can get AoO's then pull back and Garith can tank

Reiko Mura |

With an uncomfortable sense of deja vu, Reiko takes one end of the landing among many enemies. She slashes at a Tiefling, hoping her blade finds more success than it has previously.

Surprise round
Reiko and Zeriax make the most f the opportunity presented to them as they each target the tieflings for attacks. Reiko responds first stepping up to deliver a critical strike on the flat footed rogue. The power and placement decapitates the unwary warrior as he falls tot he ground stone dead. Zeriax quickly shifts his aim to target another of the tieflings. Even with Reiko in front of him blocking his path he is able to find a soft spot and bury the arrow up to the feathers in the belly of the one directly opposite of Reiko. Even though it was a hard shot it must have missed the vital organs for a killing blow as the tiefling still stands and glares you the two of you.

Bottom of Round 1
Reiko suffers still from the attacks on her last time but does not worry about the bleeding as she continues to use her katana to full effect. Although not as precise of a hit as last time (no crit confirmation or flank) she delivers a solid blow. This is partnered by the quick acting Maelchar to hurry up the stairs to attack the same tiefling. (The stairs have a wall preventing people from attacking adjacent). Zeriax fires at point blank range guarding himself well while he does so and lands both arrows dropping the other foe that was flanking Reiko. Garith moves up as far as he can (20ft) an swings at the injured teifling rogue with Radiance but to no avail. Irabeth comes hustling up moving past the 3 remaining tieflings drawing AOO's from 2 of them...

This maneuver works well and frees Samantha up to move past them as well to use her reach weapon in the hallway. Samantha strikes hard but at the last second a stud on the leather turns the weapon a quarter of an inch and the devastating blow instead slices by missing. (1 away, took a small liberty to get you into action. Hope that is ok.)
Pakak moves up the stairs and without a good line of sight elects to hold his position for now.

This demon is a schir, a goat headed humanoid covered in mangy gray hides. It possesses typical demon resistances and spell casting qualities.
The schir also can do a powerful charge and its mwk glaive carries a disease as it is constantly in the creatures mouth. You also know that schir's are able to communicate telepathically to other creatures.

The tiefling is in the only spot that can flank. so the only way that we can flank the demon is being at I:32 and I:34.
Reiko, you have access to a potion of Cure Serious Wounds, we have 8 of them, so we'd all have one on hand. Using Cure light potions when the enemy has a +13 static mod to damage isn't going to be enough, to make up for the damage he does.
Samantha can totally attack the Demon with Reach.
-also, Zeriax moved so I:32 is free and she can attack the tiefling.
I think we'd benefit from cutting down the number of enemies right now, and using the biggest heals we got to maximize healing per action.

Samantha and Reiko work to get Samantha back into fighting shape while Maelchar and Zeriax move to get behind their enemy. Unfortunately for Zeriax he paid the price for his gambit. The two of them along with Garith flail feebly at the demon in front of them while Irabeth tries to eliminate the tiefling to limit the numbers that are the enemy. Irabeth also smites the schir demon hoping to gain some protection from the demon's attacks if they are directed her way.
