Stupid autocorrect. It was suppose to be black bolts and the spell is enervation!

Morgrym lashes out at the derakni before him hits 1 times out of the three. He is certain that another blow would have landed it if were not for the drained feeling he got when that black 'boot' kicked him squarely in the rear. The good news is though that his weapon bypassed the DR thanks to him raging.

Nasira will delay on casting restoration and I don't want to steal Snow's thunder since she's the one that made the spellcraft check to identify the spell. So I guess my action is..

Metagame, I suspect two more derakni, possibly on either side of the door behind the boys. The description was a bit vague because we were not in position to see well.


Snow you try and glitterdust the area (SW corner of the room) you think the rays came from but nothing appears to you. The glitterdusted and thus visible invisible stalker though is in the north west corner of the room guarding the door. The smiley face

Is the demon still prone from the above attack? I believe he won't have the Shield Slam in a normal full attack, so three attacks with Radiance, keeping the +2 vs prone target.

Feeling even weaker, "Blast! You're not kiddin', Garith. No way we can take much more of this. Time ta back away." And Morgrym does just that, figuring maybe where he's standing has something to do with it seeing how he sees no enemy nearby.

Backed up about 10 or so feet. I'm thinking Zeriax will finish it off?


Snow moves up to inspect the wall and finds it seems perfectly solid. Zeriax meanwhile plunks the invisible stalker 3 times killing it.

Zeriax you would need to interact with it before you can make the will save. However I will throw you all a bone and open it up for you to see what lies beneath.

Arueshalae does not have true seeing sorry but she calls out to you all It must be similar to the illusion that hid the entrance to this area. A false wall cleverly concealed.

Nasira starts to cast restoration to remove the negative levels to Garith or Morgrym but it is going to take some time (round 1 of 3).

Garith and Morgrym can act accordingly still

I am already casting it on Garith, which will take two more rounds. I can cast it again for Morgrym with a mythic point.


For a FINAL blast before they are out of their spell like abilities the derakni fire the pair of black bolts. One of them having to move out of the hidden corridor to continue to attack Morgrym.

Both Morgrym and Garith join in on the attack against the demon but in their weakened state neither can land a blow. It looks like the others will have to carry the fight until such time as they can be restored to their predrained state.

The boys have engaged one in combat. I’m 2/3 done with restoring Garith’s levels. I say, despite Nasira’s complaining, our archers should focus fire on the one we’ve damaged.

Understanding the urgency of the situation, Zeriax focuses on his monk training, unleashing as many arrows as he can on their opponents.

Using Cold Iron arrows, focusing the one I can see, in front of Morgrym. Spent one Ki for an additional attack during a flurry.

That is annoying my post from 3 days ago never went through.AARGGHHHH.

With a flurry of furious arrows and a blast of righteous energy Zeriax and Snow destroy one of the demons. The last demon, bereft of its energy drain attacks flails harmlessly at Garith before being taken out by the others as well. Nasira cures Garith and Morgrym of their negative energy levels as the others search the hidden doorway. The doorway leads to a tunnel that extends 500ft away to another ravine. Coming back to report you realize that you have but 1 remaining room left in front of you and a couple in the back of the hideout. However you can tell by the ornate and strong door that this is the leader of the conclave.

Heads up everyone. Almost a TPK when I ran this IRL. However they went into with no one having more than 2 surges left.


If your bow is holy then it counts as good but otherwise no Zeriax.

She moves back by a wall and sinks into a seated position. Taking a holy symbol from her pouch, she focuses on it as she prays for the Dawnflower’s protection once more.

Purely flavor; there’s no mechanical benefit from this action.

Once she is ready, she smoothly rises and takes a deep breath. ”I am ready, my friends. As you will.”

Do we know its a worm that walks? I've lost track of what we do/don't know. If so then Snow will explain whatever she knows about it first.


Snow you do know that this a worm that walks but no real specifics. However when you see it you can make a know arcane/dungeoneering/really difficult planar/religion check.

If there are any preps you have till tomorrow night to cast them before I open the door and move you into into.

Snow taps Garith and Morgrym on the shoulder, before frowning and beginning to glow a dazzling white. Just before the door opens the light fades and the elf has vanished entirely!

Fly on Garith and Morgrym. Mythic (Augmented) Invisibility on self. I'm now basically undetectable for anything short of true seeing. No other buffs for now.


Opening the door you see...
A seven-armed rune is inscribed in a circle of iron on the floor
