The whispers of madness is more potent here. As soon as you approach the room your mind is freshly assaulted and you need to make a DC 14 will save or take 2 points of charisma damage.
I also forgot but from here on out anyone casting good or lawful spells needs to make a concentration check of DC 20+spell level or it fizzles. I will not go back and make you do them for past spells but from here on out I will.

Morgrym hates the swarms as it is readily apparent that he has nothing that can injure them. It seems like it would be a stalemate then as they can't get past his damage reduction.
Yet help was on its way in the form of another fireball from So'rien. Another blast coalesced into the center of the room bathing all in light and warmth. Again the fires did nothing but warm the party as the damage wrapped around them. The bat swarms on the other hand were incinerated as the room is filled with the smell of burnt hair and flesh.

Zeriax would provide cover and combat penalties to shooting at the vampire currently. -4 to hit and +4 to AC because of that. However I would assume that Zeriax is going to move out of the way so that will negate the combat penalty. The vampire will still get cover from the doorway itself though. Pakak steps forward to encompass all within his aura once again as he hopes to protect as many as possible. He is able to get everyone but Garith in his protective ward.
Garith, not afraid of the undead menace, valiantly rushes forward. Bringing his shield to bear to tries to push the foe back to create room for Morgrym and Maelchar to step up behind him.

Taken aback by the effectiveness of Garith's maneuver the vampire is torn as to who to target. Nasira presented him with an obvious choice but Garith was directly before him. Hoping his defenses would hold out a bit longer the vampire Theruk steps back a pace and casts forth a spell aiming at NAsira's holy symbol.
Nasira you need to make a DC 17 will save or your holy symbol is destroyed by the shatter spell.
The spiritual weapon continues to harass Zeriax as it targets him again.
1st attack 1d20 + 7 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 7 + 4 = 12 for 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
2nd attack 1d20 + 7 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 4 = 13 for 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Good guys up and apparently Zeriax is not meant to be hit b the spiritual weapon. All 4 attacks have had a 1 or 2 on the die roll.

            Will DC 17: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
The symbol seems to pulse in the vampire's eyes slightly as his spell is repulsed. Even without studying his casting, Nasira is aware that he tried to sever her link to the Dawnflower.
She conjures up the Dawnflower's weapon of choice and sends it to harass the undead spellcaster.
Spiritual Weapon as scimitar: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Seriously considering a mythic cure just to see what it does to him...

Maelchar takes Garith's bold move as an opportunity to move up behind and beside him... and attacks...
If the vampire tries an aoo on Maelchar as he moves in, he will invoke his sudden block - the vampire has to roll twice and take the worst roll, and Maelchar can strike at him as well...
to hit, sudden block attack if nec: 1d20 + 9 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 9 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 25
dmg if hits: 3d6 + 3 + 3 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (1, 2, 3) + 3 + 3 + 1 + 2 = 15
to hit, std attack: 1d20 + 9 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 9 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 28
dmg if hits: 3d6 + 3 + 3 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (4, 3, 3) + 3 + 3 + 1 + 2 = 19

The vampire, NE of Garith's postion against the wall and a step away from Garith, does not have reach as Maelchar enters the room. Continuing on Maelchar swings his greatsword at the creature but only by some protective ward(s) does the blade not draw blood upon the vampire. By all accounts the attack should have succeeded but you know already that this vampire has magics available to him that traditional vampires do not.

            We're still hasted, right?
Variel, did the vampire cast defensively, or use an sla that doesn't provoke? He should be within Garith's range for Reach
ShieldSlam: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (15) + 15 = 30 +1 if hasted
for 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
to smash the vampire into the wall and prone him.
then take another shot if he stands
AoO: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (14) + 16 = 30 +1 if hasted
for 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Garith steps up and lays into the Vampire attacking with vicious force
Radiance: 1d20 + 14 - 3 ⇒ (2) + 14 - 3 = 13 +1 if hasted
for 1d8 + 7 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 7 + 6 = 14
Slam: 1d20 + 14 - 3 ⇒ (6) + 14 - 3 = 17 +1 if hasted
for 1d4 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 2 + 3 = 9
to hit the wall and prone if not prone already
Slash: 1d20 + 9 - 3 ⇒ (1) + 9 - 3 = 7 +1 if hasted
for 1d8 + 7 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 7 + 6 = 17

[ooc]Grrr...keep forgetting about that extra reach. You are right Garith.[ooc]
Theruk is taken by surprise at the extra reach of Garith and ends up prone on the ground because of it. His resistances to damage keeps him from being hurt and losing the spell however. Figuring to take the best chance now he then stands provoking again from Garith. This time the paladin again strikes but still fails to penetrate the vampires resist aces even though he knows he hit him again.
Theruk laughs evilly as Garith lands blow after blow upon his defenses without leaving a scratch upon him. Impotent fool. You are no match for me.

With the new threat taunting them, Morgrym moves in and attempts to smash in the vampire's skull.
Move to T 62(I've no idea what square Mal is in so just put me in one that he's not in and is next to the vampire)

Mid round update with Garith, Maelchar, and Morgrym having moved and the vampire now visible.
As Nasira was able to determine with her spiritual weapon, the vampire was not easily hit as it rebuffed the attack from the spiritual weapon. As Morgrym entered the fray he too met with a similar fate as the vampire remained unscathed.
So'rien and Pakak to go still and will bot Zeriax and them tomorrow if nothing by then.
