Are you sure the ice golems can benefit from the haste spell?


You are correct but they were still inside the area of effect which is why I stated it. Thanks for keeping me honest Duardlara.

Greta moves over to attack the ice seer. Her blow seems like a telling blow that would drop the oracle but she manages to just move too quickly to get that critical hit she wanted. Haste just made you miss. Still the blow hurt the seer and Greta is now the target of her next spell.

Helgash Updated icon now meanwhile steps back and heals part of the party and himself from the previous wounds.

Saved from the massive amount of fire damage that Cynehelm was directing towards him Yrax knew that he had not waste another second on the pitiful others. Even though the archer was getting past his diamond hard scales it was just an annoyance compared to what the mage could do. Flying over Cynehelm Yrax pauses directly above and bites down him ready to unleash a full barrage of attacks next time.

Yrax's bite came down hard on the holy fireball thrower from a different planet. He could feel the warm blood runninginto his mouth and it tasted good. Soon the pest would be nothing more than meat in his belly.

As Yrax considered the pleasant idea he felt another prick of pain by his left shoulder. The archer had fired upon him again and injured him. It was merely a flesh wound but after the fire wielder the archer was next.

I think you were in the area of haste that Baub casts Jetro. You get one more attack at max BAB.

Both the guard and Yrax fail to dodge out of the way of the lightning bolt. Yrax resist a bit of the blast though and is torn between attacking the fire summoner or the lightning bearer. Fire was more deadly however and Yrax licked his chops at the notion of feasting on Cynehelm.

Cesseer, watching the carnage unfold before her, hears and feels the words from Helgash spurring her into action. The honorable paladin fulfilled his end of the bargain and yet Yrax threw away her one joy in life. She was bred and trained for honorable combat as she had just given. Now it was wasted and for what? To satisfy the spontaneous cravings of her liege, lord, master, what? He was her owner because of the price he paid for her. That was all. He broke his end of the contract though when he attacked. Because of that then she was no longer bound to fulfill her end of the contract. Mind made up she acted quickly.

I believe you would have a fifth attack if you wanted it, but the penalties for rapid shot and being your third normal attack might make that more a longshot than you want.

I attempted to put three yellow balls on the screen to identify the positions of the balls of lightning. I'm not sure if they are adjacent to the correct target. They are flying and do not provide a flank.

The hasted and invisible elf hustles from the hallway to the far corner of the room, moving as stealthily as she can manage.

With a nod at Cesseer, the glow around his body only seems to strengthen, healing his wounds even further - "My friends need me"

Helgash steps back to heal himself after nearly falling to the glass golems. He acknowledges Cesseer’s help as well. With the dragon hovering above him he defensively casts a spell to take half of Cynehelm’s damage should the cleric be attacked.

To the south Greta lays into the ice seer with her first 2 attacks. The result is a dead ice seer on the ground in a pool of blood. Her third attack strikes at the guard escorting her and by the boost inher speed just manages to hit the raging barbarian.

With the enemy spellcaster dead and Cesseer joining the noble cause has the tide turned in favor of the heroes or will Cynehelm fall to Yrax’s attacks leaving the party without one of their potent allies?!?

Cynehelm up followed by glass golems, Yrax!, then range death from Jetro, Baub

Jetro you would get 4 attacks and unless something drastic happens that is all 4 hits on raging barbarians!

Baub wanting to draw forth a spectral hand thinks better of it and opts for the straightforward approach. He lines up whoever he can with an angle to hit the dragon and casts yet another lightning bolt using his rod of empower and adding penetration to it himself, "Shizizak sizzle!"

There's no RAW reason why not. And I see it as the dragon striking you with the downbeat of its wings, so flying shouldn't impede it. It is, after all, a dragon. It should be terrifying to fight.

With Fey Foundling, Helgash regains 37hp from Cynehelm's spell. Then the dragon hits Cynehelm for 44 hp, half of which transfer to Helgash because of shield other. That means that after healing, Cynehelm took 22 points of damage and Helgash took 63 points of damage! How's he doing?


I divided the damage already for you Cynehelm due to shield other. You took the 34 and Helgash the 33

Cynehelm had been readying another spell to keep Helgash alive. But the brave paladin's orders ring in his ears. Alright, he thinks. Time to end this.

He steps back and unleashes a powerful blast of fire that engulfs both guard and master.

Helgash spends his efforts in healing himself and Cynehelm. Greta lands a few well placed blows to the guard to the south killing him. Cynehelm tries to add damage to Yrax and the last guard but the presence of Yrax is too threatening and his spell falters.

Knowing that the dragon can sense her and without other targets Duardlara sends the electricity balls towards the guard and throws a fireball at the back corner of the room hitting Yrax and the guard.

I show Helgash at 44hp to start the round. Took 24 from the golem and 1 bleed to bring to 19hp. Took 63 damage from all of the attacks. His hero's defiance kicks in for 4d6 + 7 + 8 ⇒ (4, 4, 5, 4) + 7 + 8 = 32 leaving him stable but unconscious at -12hp.Since his spell kicked in no more bleed.

Cynehelm was at 74-34+14=54-66=-12hp dying and dead next round unless healed or stabalized.

With the paladin and the cleric out of the way the focus was now on the flying spellcaster south of him.

Correction the guard is dead from the fireball. It is just Yrax and the glass golems left for enemies.

That is Greta yes and Yrax would have to squeeze to get into the halls as far as you can tell. Helgash the diplomatic approach hasn’t failed yet. No one has died so far just need Cynehelm to be stabilized quick and you are good to go.

Jetro fires a bunch of arrows but the hard scales prevent the arrow from piercing him and doing any damage.

Also just realized that I forgot the fire shield on Cynehelm. Need to roll that for 11 attacks.
