8th Generation Tremere | Bloodpool: 7/15 | Willpower 8/8

Alexander rises for the evening and proceeds to check on William's progess with arrangements.

"Good evening, William. Any success with arrangements for rennovation of the Chantry?"

After receiving William's update, Alexander makes his way back to seek audience with Prince Modius, in hopes of gaining information about Lazlo Varga or at least a direction to go for said informaion.

One blood spent to wake for the evening.

Erik drains the man dry, then regains control, licks the wound closed and looks for somewhere to dispose of the body. Once the body is disposed of he heads to the theater.

That was lucky, my one point of conscience came through. I figured assamites probably aren't particularly worried about their actions so gave him a low conscience.

Ben looks for an area with just enough foot traffic, preferably near some derelict buildings where other squatters might gather or down the street from liquor stores open late. He takes a spot in the shadows and keeps an eye out for a most likely target.

Perception 3 + Alertness 3: 6d10 ⇒ (8, 3, 3, 9, 2, 7) = 32 = 3 successes, assuming difficulty 6.

With his prey chosen, the Gangrel shadows them until they're alone and retreat is easily cut off...

Shadowing- Dexterity 4 + Stealth 2: 6d10 ⇒ (5, 10, 4, 1, 4, 1) = 25 = 1 success/two ones

... but his mark runs into an acquaintance and the two chat. Ben tries to stay patient and bide his time.
With a failure, but not a botch, do I try to roll my approach again?

Laurence: You find a suitable target a homeless person in an alley.

Alexander: "I have made contact with some gentlemen about doing the repairs it seems there is no shortage of men willing to work here. They will begin tomorrow."

Once more, shaken by the atrocities of the one that spawned him, Vinccenso found himself wrenched from Nightmare to a wakefulness scarcely less horrific.
First things first. If tonight winds up being anything like last night, I'd better feed first. Mickey should be good for it...
Mickey is one of Vinccenso's Herd. A down-on-his-luck nighttime Security Guard for a presently inactive Machine Shop, the holding company still has dreams of selling off. He is usually half-asleep & has an 'arrangement' with 'Vince' for Vince to watch the place while Mickey sleeps off his latest part-time gig or drunken stupor.

Making his way to Bell Machinists, 'Vince' pounds on the door. "Hey Mickey! It's cold out!"
I guess the roll means whether or not Mickey is working tonight? Wits/Streetwise/dif. 5 for Auspex: 5d10 ⇒ (9, 2, 3, 3, 9) = 26, two successes, Mickey's working tonight!
"Yeah, yeah..." The overweight, middle-aged lease-a-cop calls out as he trudges up to the door. "Whatta you want?"
"I told you, it's cold out here! Just lemme get inside, I'll keep an eye on things for ya. I'm good for it."
Manipulation/Subterfuge: 3d10 ⇒ (2, 7, 7) = 16, two successes, Mickey goes for it!
::Yawn:: "Fine," Mickey replies, "I could use some rack time myself. Just remember, my ass gets fired 'cause you didn't keep an eye open, you got nowhere to crash!" Unlocking the door, Mickey makes his way back to an old frame cot in the back of the break room.
Dexterity/Stealth: 3d10 ⇒ (2, 10, 6) = 18, two successes, Mickey is 'light's-out'! As Vinccenso currently has more than five blood in his system, he has no difficulty controlling himself & only takes two, which brings him up to eight.
Two hours later, 'Vince' wakes Mickey. "Hey, Hey! I think I heard somebody outside! Might have something to do with those gangbangers from last night!"
Grumbling, Mickey gets up & walks a circuit, by the end of which, 'Vince' has made his way back out into the night in the hopes of at least one more meal before making his way to inform the Prince of the previous night's events.

Stage 1 Still in the Warehouse district.
Perception/Alertness/dif. 5 for Auspex: 5d10 ⇒ (7, 5, 4, 8, 5) = 29, two successes! On to Stage two.
Appearance/Subterfuge: 4d10 ⇒ (5, 4, 3, 9) = 21, one success, on to stage three.
Charisma/Empathy: 7d10 ⇒ (1, 10, 3, 8, 2, 6, 7) = 37, three successes, they are out like a light for another two blood & Vinccenso is now on his way to the Prince's place.

Still not certain that is enough, but I only have so much time...

If you go to the prince's manor the prince greets you himself and tells you to head to the abandoned theater for a meeting that will be held at midnight. He grants you directions to the theater and tells that he is busy so if you have something to say him you should wait until then as he will be there to lead the proceedings.

At the same time his Ghoul butler is going around telling each kindred about the meeting at the theater at midnight while giving out directions.

Finish your hunts you have till midnight and you woke up around 7pm. Once your done I will proceed with the meeting.

Brows arched in bemused reflection, Vinccenso nods acquiescence at Modius' direction before removing himself from the Prince's presence.

'Vince' makes his way to the abandoned Theatre, arriving just as the midnight hour begins.

2nd Hour
Ben growls quietly in the back of his throat, fangs extended.
Gotta eat Gotta eat Gotta eat...
But he waits patiently for just the right moment to isolate his prey.

Dexterity 4 + Stealth 2: 6d10 ⇒ (7, 2, 7, 5, 8, 10) = 39 = 4 successes, assuming difficulty 6.

Finally they part ways, and Ben resumes shadowing his target- finding just the right moment at the mouth of a dark alley, where the nearby parking lot is screened off with a chain-link fence. He rushes his target, trying to drag him bodily into the alley.

Strength 3 + Brawl 3: 6d10 ⇒ (4, 10, 5, 6, 9, 1) = 35 = 2 successes

Ben pins the unfortunate soul against the brick wall, pressing his hand against his mouth to keep him silent before piercing the side of his neck and drinking, all the while trying to keep his feral nature in check enough to not kill his target outright.

Frenzy check, Self Control 3 vs. Difficulty 5- spending a point of willpower for an auto-success: 3d10 ⇒ (2, 2, 1) = 5 = 1 for willpower spent

The Gangrel starts drinking deeply, the blood warming his dead veins. He starts to drift away- questions of ethics and the horror of what he is slipping in a primal haze. But he yanks himself back from giving in and stops himself. Licking the wound, he releases his prey after grabbing his wallet and helping himself to the meager cash within. He drops the rest at the alley's mouth and hurries off into the night, to the old theater.

Drinking 3 points, barely avoiding growing a tail in the process.

Thom tries to find some common ground with a fellow thespian.

Thom would like to expend Willpower to stave off Frenzy in some manner, allowing him to drink 2 blood and stop. Taking him out of the Frenzy threshold (7-self-control = 3), he'd have 4. They say this is vague so, leaving it to your discretion.

Actually, do the 2 successes grant him 2 turns? If so, can he remove himself from the "taste" and "sight" of blood? Reducing the next attempt to difficulty 3 (smell of blood).


Yes it gives you 2 turns. It takes you one turn to drink 2 blood. Then the next turn you can move away then and you then make another check to stave of the frenzy. However you still have fresh blood in your mouth at this point so it would still be taste and sigh (difficulty 4) You can however spent a point of willpower for auto-success.

Thom has difficulty keeping the beast's voracious appetite at bay, returning as quickly as he'd fled.

About to tear her throat open and gorge himself, the echo of the man he used to be resonates. He channels previous training, discipline... He is not an animal. And that is very important to him.

Wow, dice aren't cooperating. Now that he's got 4 blood, as he drank 2 and separated. Does the "hungry" condition apply? He no longer qualifies for less blood than 7-self control.


Thom is no longer hungry. so if he feeds again now he doesn't need to roll for frenzy

Can't let it get that close, again. No matter what I've become, no matter how I've changed... I will be true to myself.

A short while later, another campus... The track field, where it butts up against a wooded park area. Solitary evening runs, perfect.

Stage 1 - Perception + Alertness + Herd 2, Auspex 1: 3d10 + 2d10 + 2d10 ⇒ (5, 2, 10) + (3, 10) + (3, 9) = 42

The males are of little use to me, but I am patient. The girls try to run in pairs... But here comes a brave heart and unlike mine, it beats... I hear it.

Stage 2 - Dexterity + Stealth + Herd 2: 4d10 + 2d10 ⇒ (1, 8, 4, 2) + (2, 3) = 20

Thom veers off, she's too alert. He was focused too much on hearing her. This will take longer than expected.

Stage 1 - Perception + Alertness + Herd 2, Auspex 1: 3d10 + 2d10 + 2d10 ⇒ (2, 1, 4) + (1, 9) + (3, 10) = 30

It's getting late, the runners now will be tired, unfocused.

Stage 2 - Dexterity + Stealth + Herd 2: 4d10 + 2d10 ⇒ (7, 9, 9, 4) + (4, 5) = 38

Does that 4 count on a dark track field?

Reread the description of hunting. @Stage 2, he didn't botch, so he will just wait until she comes around the next lap. So scrap the last two rolls.

Before she gets close, she stops to tie her shoe lace under a light post, waving to a passer-by in the street. He's enamored, watches her as she resumes her run.

Next lap.

Stage 2 - Dexterity + Stealth + Herd 2: 4d10 + 2d10 ⇒ (6, 2, 10, 2) + (7, 4) = 31

There is only a small patch of darkness, about 20-25 feet or so, where the trees haven't been trimmed back from the light. Three second window.

Stage 3 - Stamina + Athletics: 3d10 + 2d10 ⇒ (5, 10, 9) + (5, 5) = 34

Erik double checks that he stashed his new shotgun in the trunk and that his pistol is in it's shoulder harness before entering Elysium.


Thom: You manage to catch the girl and drink some of her blood as well. Your just about finished when the prince's Ghoul servant arrives and tells you the prince has called a meeting at Elysium and he tells you how to get there and to be there for midnight.

9 pm

Ben takes a circuitous path away from his last vessel, looking for a late-night convenience store. He browses for a minute, picking up an X-Men comic book from the rack and purchasing it along with a pack of cigarettes. Putting the smokes in a pocket, he leans against a wall with a good view of the entrance and waits for someone to walk out alone.

Perception 3 + Alertness 3: 6d10 ⇒ (9, 6, 2, 4, 6, 4) = 31- 3 successes

It's not too long until a tired looking woman with her own bag of last-minute groceries steps out. He counts to three and proceeds after her.

Dexterity 4 + Stealth 2: 6d10 ⇒ (9, 2, 10, 5, 9, 1) = 36- 2 successes

Undetected, he waits until she opens her car door and starts getting inside before ambushing her.

I'm guessing speed is more important than brute force for this one, so I'll use Dex + Brawl.

Dexterity 4 + Brawl 3: 7d10 ⇒ (4, 6, 8, 10, 2, 10, 1) = 41 - 3 successes

The woman lets out a startled shriek as Ben tackles her through the open driver's side door, but it fades out as his fangs pierce her neck and he starts drinking again, this time getting enough to knock her unconscious.

Drinking 5 points to fill up, hopefully knocking her out.
Licking her wound and wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, Ben quickly looks about for anyone watching before pulling his hood over his head and thumping the car's hood a few times to get the alarm started. Then he quickly strides away.

Only so many humans around in this town... can't risk killing them off without good reason... hmph. What am I, the Game Warden?

Well as soon as Orphan is sure Thom is not showing up for the night he will wander off looking for the RV lady from the night before, the whole time he wanders in a shrouding haze of obfuscation.


Lets wrap things up, I will start the meeting tomorrow.

Laurence: You go to the Rv and find Maria getting ready to go to the meeting. You see her bodyguard again no longer hidden and walking next to her. (He has the appearance of a normal human)

Orphan: You arrive at the Rv and find Maria talking to Laurence

Rick: you don't find any adds for a dj and you check out the area and find several bars and a few clubs you play music. Most don't use a dj and feature automated sound systems.

Alrighty, Rick will head to Elysium for the Prince's all-call. Starting his DJ business will have to wait until another night.

Waiting to see how Laurence and Maria talking goes for a bit so I can burst in or use it to my advantage, whichever seems more interesting at the time.


Gonna start the meeting. Need to get it moving again.

Thom goes to the 7-11 and finds Orphan has left already. He then heads to the meeting place.

Laurence meets with maria she says she is going to the meeting at the prince's request and agrees to have him come along.

You all make your way to the theater and get seats in the audience. Mike and Joel are there having mostly recovered from their wounds but Juggler is absent.

The prince arrives shortly after everyone is gathered and comes unto the stage.

"Your probably wondering why I have gathered you here...It is to bring a warning and some news of importance...A hunter has come to Gary, the same hunter that killed Prince Lodin and half his court. If that wasn't bad enough it has come to my attention that the Sabbat are taking advantage of the confusion to make a move to take over this area. The bulk of their force is heading for Chicago but I heard they already made an attempt to scout Gary so they will likely be back. Despite this I have given the newcomer Maria permission to host a zombie walk event tomorrow night. Many mortals will be there and it can be a good opportunity to feed but be warned that any breach of the masquerade at this time will likely put the hunter on your tracks and I will not help you. However if we pull trough these difficulties Gary will likely become an important staging ground for the war to come. I will rebuilt my court and many positions are available. I have already chosen a Sherif" he points to Thom "Many other positions are available also so if you prove yourself and you can be at the top of the new pyramid when Gary is rebuilt!...Now does anyone have anything they would like to add?"

Orphan drops his veiling undetectability.
"Well this seems interesting enough to peak my... interest. Bobby McBoberson of BobBob Boys at your service. What would you have of us your grace? Want us to go forth and ravage the Sabat in their holes, cause I don't see that working out well. I mean let's face facts, most of us are lovers not fighters am I right here boys? And your city is kinda big and there aren't many of us anyway." Orphan makes a little curtsy. "Begging your lordships pardon but what is the plan man, you can't just lay this heavy slice of pew pew on our heads without at least a generous helping of the gravy of hope now can ya.... wait, we where talking about the systemic elimination of the enemy in the trenches out there right? Or was it... no don't tell me... I always forget, we are gonna turn all the people into zombies and walk them in as an army of the unliving..." What's the political situation?

Sabbat are so much vermin. A little preparation and some teamwork and they're done. The biggest obstacle I encounter is we don't like teamwork. Folks get all uptight and peek freen.

Thom looks around, waits for the avalanche of scat.

The grungy, bearded and tattooed guy in the back stands up.
"The Sabbat that came through last night- yeah, bunch of Shovelheads probably no more than a year Embraced. But you should still take 'em seriously... Sheriff. They don't give a s$&~ about the Masquerade, for one. At least the dumb ones don't. But that's still dangerous to us with that hunter out there. I guess the best we can hope for is to settle domains and start puttin' down roots... which leads to my question- The zombie thing sounds fine for a tourist event, a few nights of good feeding. But the streets are empty at night for the most part- when I came in, not a human was around. That's a problem for us, especially with so many new faces like me coming in. What are you planning to do to encourage humans to move back to Gary, enough to sustain us all and keep us hidden?"

He looks over the rest.
"For those of you I haven't met- I'm Ben. New in town."


It would be best you go see him and introduce yourself properly either now or afterwards Rick.
