About Vinccenso Pruffi

Background:
Born the bastard son of a Kellid prostitute & an unnamed Riddleport sailor she never saw again, Vinccenso's mother named him after her Chelish Pimp to assuage the man's pride & keep him from simply killing or selling the child, at least until his adolescence when it became apparent that he had significant innate talent for the arcane arts...
Enough so that Amicus Falco, a retired Pathfinder living in Riddleport offered him an apprenticeship.
An offer the pimp happily accepted as it meant, to his mind at least, one less mouth to feed.
Vinccenso found that life apprenticed to a Wizard agreed with him, though he didn't take to the discipline of Riddleport piracy any more than adequately at best; the constant travel, experience with different places & situations and the camaraderie of the sailors with whom he found himself constantly, spoke to him in ways life as the bastard son of a prostitute never did.
Particularly when he met Annalisse Mercuri.
The only child of a several generations long sea-faring tradition, Annalisse was almost everything Vinccenso wasn't; dutiful, disciplined, attentive to the consequences of her actions & the actions of those about her; the two of them clashed at almost every meeting. Only Vinccenso's clear utility & potential saved him from summary dismissal long enough for the two of them to recognize a mutual regard.
A regard shattered by his mother's unsolved murder & the 'turf war' between Riddleport's Overlord & the leader of the 'Cypher Mages', who had been trying to entice Amicus to join them since he had returned to the city of his childhood.
In the aftermath, Vinccenso decided he had had enough of Riddleport life & decided to see what the rest of Avistan had to offer. Thanks to remembered stories his mother told him of her family's ancient homeland, Vinccenso decided to make his way North, to Irresen.

Appearance:
At nineteen, Vinccenso is a lanky, loose-limbed individual, standing noticeably over six foot in height; with an insouciant manner & a smirk that even divine wrath has difficulty removing.

About those things & people Vinccenso cares, he cares deeply. At the same time, life as the bastard son of a murdered whore with no family, no loved ones & no real home has lead him to the conclusion that in the eyes of the world & the gods around him, he is nothing more than a commodity...
And a commodity does not offer anything of itself freely.

Arcane Bond (Familiar): Vinccenso lost his Familiar during the journey from Riddleport & has never acquired another.
Arcane School (Universalist/Scroll Scholar): Diligent Student Knowledge (arcana) +2
Diligent Student (Ex): At 1st level, Vinccenso chooses one Knowledge skill. This becomes a class skill if it is not already one. He adds half his class level to all Knowledge checks of this type (minimum 1). At 5th level and every five levels thereafter, Vinccenso chooses 1 additional Knowledge skill to receive this bonus.
This ability replaces hand of the apprentice.
Secrets Revealed (Sp): At 5th level, Vinccenso gains the ability to cast comprehend languages and identify as spell-like abilities. His caster level is equal to his character level in whatever class she took the scroll scholar archetype for. He can cast these spells once per day each at 5th level, twice per day each at 7th level, and three times per day each at 9th level. At 11th level, one of these spell-like abilities (scholar’s choice) becomes a constant spell-like ability, and at 13th level, the second one becomes a constant spell-like ability.
This ability replaces his bonus feat for 5th level.
Flash of Insight (Su): At 10th level, once per day, Vinccenso can gain a +5 bonus on a single attack roll, caster level check, or saving throw as an immediate action. This decision must be made before the results of the roll are known, but can be made after the die is rolled. This ability can be used twice per day at 15th level, and 3 times per day at 20th level.
This ability replaces the normal addition of a new 4th-level spell slot to the character’s spells per day— from this point on, the wizard has one fewer 4th level spell slot than other wizards.
