if you read the original adventure dust to dust on which the adventure is based you will notice that I made quite a few changes to it and that I have also expanded the story to carry on after the "end" of that adventure. I reworked juggler's disciplines and dots a bit and I made him 7th generation to protect him a bit more. I also created a few extra characters that I added and added some story elements. For example the Sabbat have no part at all in the original adventure.

the version of Potence i read gives 1 autosuccess in melee and brawling damage. am i reading from the wrong book?

i will roll the 8d10 as asked though, so as not to bog down gameplay with my relatively straightforward melee vampire.

ok so I was partially wrong before you can spent 1 blood to get a number of automatic success equal to the number of point you have in potence and not 1 blood per dot of potence.

I wasn't planning on it, making contact with a bunch of bounty hunters, PIs, ect will take some time. And he was under the impression that things were done at Elysium for the night.

Guys, I apologize for seeming to do nothing but rag on everyone else's ideas, but Vinccenso's job in essence was to examine the chantry's plans for any possible flaw so that they could be addressed, minimized or hopefully removed. Also, two nights is a bit hasty for him to start trusting others.
He'll get there, he's just much more of a 'talk is cheep, actions speak louder than words' kind of guy.

Ok then, sorry you have to drop out but in a way it's a bit of a relief as six is an easier group to manage. I have to somehow get everyone into a coterie and I was worried 8 would be to many for the challenges I have prepared. I was debating trying to form two group of 4 and wasn't sure if it could work but now I don't have too.

So Laurence left with Maria and will become and NPC.

still in hearing range. Vince was barely useful in the last fight and seems to be ducking out of actually doing anything other than talking in this situation. Erik is a man of action and dislikes how Elders tend to use younger vampires to do all the dirty work. Which is part of the reason why he is no longer in the middle east.

Just so you know, A) Assamite Elders don't work that way & B) Vince has always been upfront about not being any use in a fight, not being an elder for that matter. He's got the Harmless Merit fer crissake!

Some Assamite elders don't work that way, and as far as my understanding goes assamites treat new vampires as being as expendable as the next guy. Even if Vince isn't an elder, he is an 8th generation vampire (which Erik wouldn't know, but he would know that vince is definitely a lower generation). And vince acts like most elders do, talking in a very condescending way and offering ideas that involve them personally not really doing anything.

All of this may have led Erik to misinterpret things to believe that Vince is older than he actually is, and acting the way a lot of elders do. It would hardly be the first time someone has misread things and come to the wrong conclusion, especially considering none of us have known each other for more than 72 hrs.


Vampires (particularly those of differing clans and generation) play so well together don't they.

Heh. Considering Vince is a Tremere & Erik is an Assamite, I'm personally surprised they are getting along as well as they are, particularly given that Vince is of more potent blood.

I was in a LARP Chronicle once when the unofficial/official 'price' to put a contract on the local head of the Tremere was, and I quote, 'a stunned mouse in a Dixie cup'. That was a fun game...

Strangely I can actually see Vince and Erik ending up in a similar situation to G'Kar and Londo Mollari in Babylon 5. Their peoples hate each other, but somehow along the journey, the 2 manage to end up with an unconventional friendship.

Unsure of ST intent. What sort of Vampire game is this?


well you don't need to be a group just yet but eventually you need to start being a group.

I don't recommend facing the ash monster alone or even in a pair and I would like everyone to attend the zombie walk.

willing to work with you guys, personally; but he knows that, abandoned or not, there is no way that the Clan is going to be 'ok' with non-Tremere having anything to do with a Chantry, especially not without him even having made an attempt at forewarning or permission.
Which is why he is making the attempt first.

More & more, I'm feeling that I may have bit off more than I can chew in terms of Campaign activity. That said, I have had a lot of fun here guys & I hope the rest of you continue to do so as well.

Sorry to hear that but if that is your wish then Vincce will encounter the ash monster at the chantry and be destroyed.


Erik figures that a bunch of guys entering a biker bar could cause a confrontation and if things go wrong then Erik charging in with a shotgun will probably help.
