The game begins:

Takeo:
You awaken in pure darkness. The air is cold and still, void of all sound, except the sound of your own breath. As your senses slowly come to life, you recognize you are lying on your back on a hard
stone surface. Your face begins to tingle and itch.

Masumi:

stone surface. Your body sort of aches all over.

Kichiri:
You awaken in pure darkness. The air is cold and still, void of all sound, except the sound of your own breath. As your senses slowly come to life, you recognize you are lying on your back on a hardstone surface. It feels like something is crawling on your flesh.

Akoi:
You awaken in pure darkness. The air is cold and still, void of all sound, except the sound of your own breath. As your senses slowly come to life, you recognize you are lying on your back on a hard
stone surface. The bottom of you left foot begins to itch and the need to scratch is nearly overwhelming.

Hajime:
You awaken in pure darkness. The air is cold and still, void of all sound, except the sound of your own breath. As your senses slowly come to life, you recognize you are lying on your back on a hard
stone surface. The small of your lower back begins to itch uncontrollably.

Hajime:

Slowing sitting up, Hajime helps to keep herself propped up with one arm as she scratches the small of her lower back with her other hand.

Straining to hear any sound being made that is not her own, she will quietly say, "Is anyone here?"

Hajime:
As you begin to sit you clunk your head on stone that is about 2 feet or so, over your head. You realize it's sort of tight where you are. Your soft voice echoes and reverberates in your ears.

Takeo:

It is exceptionally tight in the area you are located. When you start to sit you whack your head on stone that is about 2 feet or so, over your head. Your voice bounces back to you and the air is stale. It is pitch black.

Baldwin:

"Owww!"

Damn it! Now on top of being alone in the dark and not knowing where I am, I've just given myself a headache.

Pouting as she rubs her head and wishing for some light to see by, she casts a light spell.

Takeo will compose himself as well as he can. He will then start to feel all around to see if he is traped or if he has a direction he can move in.

Takeo:
Your fingers glide over stone, it feels smooth and worked, you figure its roughly 2 and half feet wide and about 2 and half feet high. Perhaps 7 feet in length. Your fingers are able to make out seams near the top walls. You realize you are wearing some sort of robe but you don't feel any other items in there with you. Until everyone gets united it's best to use spoilers.

Hajime:

Your light shines revealing that you are in a stone box that measures, 2 and half feet wide by 2 and half feet high and 7 feet long. The stone is finely worked, and you see rune over your head. You recognize the it as the number 17. You, also, notice you are in a white kimono robe and have nothing else with you.

Baldwin:
Takeo realizing he may be in some sort of coffin, or sarcophagus would brace himself as well as he could and attempt to slide the lid off.

Take 20 and struggel and push and grunt for the next 2 mins hoping 21 is enought to move the lid

Masumi is not pleased, victory comes through knowing one's environment. Calm.... The rogue slowly checks to ensure he is not on some ledge, that he cannot fall. He reaches out, using his hands for eyes.

Takeo:
The scraping sound of the lid sliding off slowly from your effort. You wedge it off, revealing more pitch black darkness.

Masumi:
Centering your emotions you can feel there is smooth stone all around you. It feels polished and slick, there is roughly 2.5 feet in width and the same for height. You figure it is approximately 7 feet in length. There is a seam that surrounds the top of each wall. There is a small etching on the upper left corner of stone over your head. You, also, notice you have no possession other than the cloth robe you are wearing.

Baldwin:

Fighting back the urge to panic at finding herself enclosed in a stone box, Hajime forces herself to take several deep and calming breaths as she examines her surroundings and ponders what to do next.

17? I wonder what that number is supposed to signify?

Hajime traces the rune with her fingers and then attempts to push on the lid of the box, wondering if she can open it or at least slide it to side a bit.

Takeo will slowly stand again feeling around making sure he doesnt wack his head again because he is in an alcove or somthign. He again will speak out.

Masumi considers the seam again. Leverage.... He takes a moment to calm down. Trying again, focusing on one of the long sides.

Hajime:
Your finger trips strain and you move your feet over your hips, you thrust hard putting your back into and the scraping sound of the lid moving provides a moment of relief. Your light spell pierces the pitch dark above.

Takeo:
When you stand you realize you are a couple feet below the surface. Then suddenly there's ray of light coming from the floor across the room. The light is 12 feet away.

as arrows sailed past it.

Masumi:
Grunts...Damn that's heavy. The top does not budge. Your heart rate quickens, as you sweat, and begin to realize that you may be buried alive.

Hajime looks about as best she can given the light source, trying to get her bearings on where she is at.

She will attempt to climb out of the box and stand upon the ground.

The sudden bright light in an utter darkness must be playing tricks on your senses, you really are only able to perceive that you are somehow in a hole in the ground when you stand. You know you need to climb or step out of the hole to get to the surface.

Takeo:
With the light coming form 12 feet away, your eyes begin to adjust. You can see the source of the light is another person, wobbly on their feet, emerging from the ground like you. Looking around the room you can see rows of tightly packed tombs, each with a lid like yours, there are two bronze handle on each tomb. A quick count makes it 24 tombs. On the outside of your lid is a rune for the number 7. You can tell this is a square room with dark walls.You'll need to get closer for a better view but I want to hold off a little, till folks have checked in.

Masumi:
You are able to get in position to push up with all your force, hearing the pop of your hernia, but the top does not move. Doubt starts to trickle in...is that even the top...what if the top is where my back is...which way is up?I'm joking with the hernia by the way.

Takeo and Hajime:
You each hear the faintest sound of stone coming from across the room but there is no source visible.

Laying flat again Masumi tests the side "above" his head, then "beneath" his feet.

Masumi:
Finally! The cold still air gives way and a glimmer of light can be seen above piercing the room's darkness. You are able to slide enough of the 300 pound lid off, gasping for your breath. There is soft light coming from across the room. You are in a hole.Make a perception check.

You try to steady yourself, stretching your legs and trying to clear your head. The lid is smooth and you see a rune for the number 13 on it. You can make out the shapes of two others standing up across the room from you....they are separated by several feet.

Hajime begins to try to climb out of the hole that she is in, pausing for a moment when she hears the faint sound.

"Hello? Is someone there?"

She will then continue climbing out of the hole.

Sorry for the delay - I'm usually better about posting, really...

Akio fights the urge to scratch his foot. There are more important things to do, first. He ever-so-slowly moves his arms and legs their full range of motion, getting a feel for the size of the room he's in, whether he's restrained and, if so, how.

Masumi:

There is nothing near you....everything is worked stone, very smooth. It is easy enough to climb out, it's only a couple feet high. You can make out two shadow figures, one speaks, "Hello? Is someone there?" they both appear to be doing what you are doing. You can get up next to the very dark colored wall and blend...perhaps it will offer a bit of camouflage.

Hajime:
Make perception check.

Akio:
No problem with posting...especially for the beginning which it's an individual process. You realize that you on your back and in some sort of cloth garment that ties....perhaps a robe. The box is tight only 2.5 feet wide by 7 feet long and 2.5 feet high. It's made of cool polished stone. There is heavy stone over your head. Your fingers can make out a seam on all three walls that you can touch. It is pitch black, and your air is beginning to become stale. Thanks for keeping it under a spoiler, until everyone unites.

Hajime, Masumi and Takeo:
You each see two other figures climbing out of their holes, just like you. Two individuals appear to be approaching the person holding the light (Hajime). The person holding the light is more, or less, near the center of this square room. You can make out six rows of four perfectly aligned stone coffins, each with a heavy lid sealing the coffin. Each lid has a random number on it. All three of you are wearing identical white cloth kimonos that have a red trim on the sleeves and collar.I want to keep the chat under spoilers until everyone emerges, so they don't see what is happening.

Akio, realizing that staying here much longer will be a rather more permanent decision than he's willing to make at the moment, pushes and strains against the...lid?

Akio:
Using brute strength the 300 pound lid begins to move, you catch a bit of light in the room above, as relatively cleaner air fills your aching lungs. With the light you can make out that you are inside a smooth hole that is about 3 feet deep.

You remember a green field, with storm clouds advancing towards you and the sound of a trumpet.
