"Aye, that sounds good."
"A lemonade for me as well."
Frostine starts on her stew while they wait for their drinks.
Nodding Sig heads to the kitchen to get the drinks.
"Maybe I should help," Corrie says, following Sig. "Here, let me get you the tankards and a tray."
She quickly retrieves the items for Sig. "The lemonade is in that clear pitcher, the ale in that cask over there."
"Thanks Corrie!" Sig says with a smile as she pours the drinks before carrying the tray back out to the table.
Jerrica takes her ale. "Thanks, love."
Dan takes his drink as well. "Thank you."
Frostine takes the ale and hands it to Thorgr before taking her lemonade. She takes a couple of drinks before going back to her stew as she tried to keep her eyes open long enough to eat. After another little yawn she looks at Sig and then Corrie, "Thanks Sig, thank you Ms. Corrie." She says sounding extremely sleepy.
Smiling happily Sig sits beside Jerrica and takes a swig of her ale as her love passes her a bowl.
Jerrica eats a bit of her stew. "So, besides getting Nolletta to the healer tomorrow, we don't know what to do next, do we?"
She shakes her head, "No...not really. But we should talk to the two women in the morning after they've rested and see if they start to remember anything. It might help us figure out where we need to go next."
Dan nods. "As good a plan as any."
She nods as she takes another drink of her lemonade before going back to her stew. About halfway through the bowl her eyes start feeling very heavy as she starts slouching slightly in her seat.
Thorgr shakes Frostine slightly. "Come on, let's get you to bed."
She looks up at Thorgr, "Did you get enough to eat? I'll wait for you."
"I'm good," Thorgr says, getting up and helping Frostine to the bedroom.
She nods, "Okay." She says in a quiet sleepy voice. Too tired to argue or question him she nods to the others before getting up and letting him help her to the bedroom.
Once in the room she goes to the bed and pulls down the covers as she crawls into the bed and tries to wait for Thorgr to join her as she starts to feel her eyes beginning to close.
"It would be interesting to figure out what the little brat's plan is." Sig says finishing her food.
With her eyes starting to close she asks a bit quietly, "Are you sure you got enough to eat?"
"Mhmm," Thorgr mutters.
"That would be good to know too," Jerrica says.
As she lays in the bed she holds out her arms to him.
Thorgr draws Frostine close. "Good night, love."
She snuggles into him, "Night....night....love you." She barely manages to get out before starting to snore softly against him.
Dan yawns. "I think I'll take a bath and call it a night."
He gets up and heads to one of the bathrooms.
Corrie begins clearing bowls and tankards from the table.
"Yeah, we should get our bath and head to bed, shouldn't we?" Jerrica asks Sig.
"Definitely." Sig replies pushing back from the table. "Uhm do you need any help with that Corrie?"
Corrie shakes her head. "I'll manage it just fine."
"Okay," Sig says smiling at Jerrica and taking her hand to head towards the other bathroom.
Jerrica leans against Sig as they enter the bathroom. "Oof, I feel so tired now."
"Aww I'm sorry love, it's been a long and pretty brutal day" Sig says sweeping Jerrica up in her arms and going over to the bench before setting her down. "Let's just get you bathed and put you to bed."
Jerrica nods sleepily, fumbling with the straps of her armor.
Filling up the tub and giving her a gentle kiss on the forehead, Sig undresses Jerrica lovingly, before removing her own armor and clothing. Turning off the water as the tub fills, she gently lifts her and places her love in the tub before stepping in behind her, and beginning to soap a washcloth.
"Thanks," Jerrica says, reclining against Sig. "I don't know why I'm so tired now. Maybe Frostine was sharing her tiredness."
Sig smiles as she soaps up her beloved's body. "Maybe it's the crash that comes after the rush of a fight that deadly. There's a few points where we barely made it back there and the surge that comes with fighting for your life that hard, it can hit pretty hard once you calm down and your body realizes you're safe. My father told me that's the real reason warriors tend to drink and celebrate after a battle, to offset the crash and have a good time, laugh at death for having been cheated, then pass out."
"Heh, that makes sense," Jerrica says, massaging her feet in the warm water. "This is the first I heard about your father, I think. Would you mind telling me about him or your family?"
"Sure." Sig says with a smile as they wash up. "My father is where I learned how to fight, that and the art of storytelling and battlesong. When he spun a tale of battle, it made you feel.....invincible, the warriors were always sharing tales of the tide of battle turning because of his voice booming over the battlefield." she sys with a sense of pride.
"The tradition of the Skald has run through my family for generations and part of it is that at the right age, one heads off somewhere to find and live their own stories, discover your own songs, through experience, the art grows and with it, power. My mother believed in that power and in me, so when I set out it was with their approval."
"That's really something," Jerrica says. "So, I suppose this'll be one of your stories someday?"
"I suppose it will be," Sig says with a smile, "You okay with being one of the lead characters in an epic saga?" she asks with a wink.
"As long as you gloss over my ineptitude at times," Jerrica says with a mixture of a chuckle and a sigh.
"You are anything but inept love, and all the good stories skip the parts where the hero trips or has a piece of lettuce stuck in her teeth while meeting the king." she says laughing.
"Good," Jerrica says, turning around to give Sig a kiss. "How about we finish up and head to bed?"
"Absolutely love." Sig says finishing rinsing up and stepping out to hold up a towel for Jerrica.
Jerrica climbs out of the tub and takes the towel. "Thanks."
She dries off and puts on only her shirt. "Pants are overrated when you're tired."
"You'll find absolutely no argument from me on that one." Sig says finishing drying off and pulling on a shift as she slips an arm around her love's waist. "Let's get you to bed, I'll come back for our armor."
"Mmkay," Jerrica says, going out of the bathroom with Sig. Once in the bedroom, she falls on the bed. "Don't take too long getting back to me."
