I'll be generating a map and posting it here in the next couple of days. Unfortunately, I'll be in Chicago most of tomorrow and Tuesday so I won't be able to get to it until then.

Reginald can scribe 28 level 0 or 1st level scrolls in a week. Are there any scrolls or spellbooks (perhaps among the drow) he can copy from to expand his spellbook? If not, he will craft 28 scrolls from the list below, or as many as he can before running out of money.

Sorry!!
I check so regularly, that once in a while I check, and forget I am supposed to respond. I put a post up, hopefuly it isn't too cheesy.
Pravic is almost paranoid about asking what the sword is, so he will wait until they are away from the gnomes before checking to see if it is magical....
I'm glad you prodded us. I will make it a point to check more often in the future.
On another note... I will be moving from northern michigan to the kalamazoo/battle creek area in a few weeks. I don't expect it will affect my posting rate, but I will let you know if I am going to run into trouble. I am excited about seeing where we will be taking this next!
Sorry, I should probably mention I have started a new job and have been pretty well preoccupied. Also trying to exercise more (as in exercise at all lol). It's all going well, so I hope to be more active.

Just to say that I'm on my phone so I can't access the roll20 map; if the Entangle spell won't work without catching some of us, I'll fire the acid dart instead as my surprise round action, and then another one as my round 1 action.
Sorry about the whole absentee GM thing. I hit a rough patch in life and it's taken a toll on my gaming. Fortunately, things seem to be clearing up. Going forward, I'm going to try to get back to daily posts.

Just so everyone is aware, I am weeks away from the birth of my second spawn. My posting may become sproatic or drop off a bit as the wife needs me more and more with the approach of The Time.
I don't foresee huge gaps, but I wanted to give youall a heads up, just in case.

I totally read this in the voice of GLaDOS, which made it 10x better. Also, I laughed like a gorram idiot in the staff room, publicly embarrassing myself. Happy? :P

I laughed, too - I guess our GM is a veteran of the 'olden days' when all monsters had a treasure type, and you didn't worry about how (say) a giant scorpion ended up with a gold ring...

I'm not a veteran (far too young - at 24, I'm a wee lass compared to most gamers I know!), but I still laugh whenever I'm fighting giant spiders in the Dragon Age games. Not only do they carry money, but when you kill them, they dissolve into piles of bones!

Yeah, it has saved me a lot of aggravation since AK recommended it to me some time ago. I can't load it on my work computer, but from my home computer it has saved a lot of frustration when I've forgotten to ctrl-A/ctrl-C before hitting Submit Post.

My posting rate will be a bit slow over the next three weeks. My smartphone has met with an unfortunate accident, and I'm using an old piece of crud with no internet connectivity. So no posting for me during workdays, or while I'm at tabletop games, or commuting... you get the idea. Once my contract gives me a free upgrade, I'll be back and swinging! In the meantime, please bot me if I go more then 24 hours without posting in combat, or if I'm holding us up from moving on.

Urgh, I miss it already! I'm going half-mad, and I have so long to wait! :P
Also, I see a few people here use Wayfinder. How secure is it? I was looking into it on my last phone, but I was a bit leery, considering I have my credit card details stored on this account...

I have been using it for8 months or so, no security issues that I know of. It's not amazing by any means, but it does make posting from my phone far less painful. As far as reading my threads, I almost prefer it over the laptop. My biggest complaint is when you are in the middle of a post, then you want to go back and verify some piece of information, it's a pain. Otherwise the shortcuts for the bbcode are really nice. I would definitely recommend it. I used it when I had no computer access for several weeks when we moved, I never missed a beat. (i currently play in 5 separate pbp games, 3 of which post about 2-4 times a day)
I second what Pravic said. To alleviate the going back for more info, I use Chrome (or whatever Web browser) to check forgotten details. No issues of security here, and the codes are MUCH easier to deal with.

Fair warning, get the app and you will find yourself refreshing it every 5 minutes itching to read the next post. Especially when you have a group that can put up 30+ posts collectively in one day... Per game....

I feel your pain: I dropped my smartphone last year and although I got a replacement within a week, it felt like forever. It really is scary how much a part of my life it's become!
I have a desire to GM a PbP game and the role-playing possibilities of Fire Mountain Games' "Throne of Night" seems really intriguing. For those of you that don't know, this is a 3rd-party campaign that amounts to Kingmaker in the Underdark.
I've decided that I would like to run a group of all dwarves or all drow. For the drow, you would be septuplets, exiled from your house and left to die in the Underdark. For the dwarves, you would be family as well; the remnants of a dying royal bloodline questing to find your ancestral homeland.
I think it sounds amazing and I was wondering if people would be interested in playing it. If you are, please include if you'd rather play dwarves (good guys) or drow (bad guys).

While it seems the Way of the Wicked game I'm in is dying out somewhere in the first book, I've liked what I've seen so far from Fire Mountain Games. I'd be interested in giving an all drow party a whirl.
This intrigues me greatly. I would be interested in playing a Drow Slayer. Although, I would have no problem playing a dwarf as well. I just love me some Drow.
If you went the Drow route, would you consider non-Drow PCs that were slaves/servants to the Drow PCs? Allies/hire ons could be interesting too, but I get wanting to focus on the Drow power dynamics.
I'm tentatively interested either way, just figured I'd ask since that would help showcase the Drow way of thinking.
Quite interested here as well. I'm leaning towards dwarves 'cause I missed out on an all dwarf run last year sometime, but an all Drow party would be pretty interesting as well.
I've been convinced by others that an all Drow party might be more interesting than all dwarf. So I'd like to change my vote. Though I'd still be up for a dwarf group (as this convincing has not changed my mind that dwarves are awesome.)
Either or, I just want to know if Words of Power are allowed.
Probably going to play a blaster-caster.
I've never had a player use Words of Power. I'm interested to see how they work.

If we go evil, I'd like to focus on only drow characters. You're certainly allowed to gather slaves as you go, but the plot won't have much impact for "slave-PCs" except to watch as your betters gain more power.

Technically, this campaign is not in Golarion. But if we play drow, feel free to use any sort of Golarion flavor that appeals to you. I know I will.
As a side note, I'll let the voting continue until tomorrow evening. At that point, we'll know which side you're on and the submissions can begin.
Going over ideas for character concepts, I think I'm swaying slightly to the dwarven side. Drow are cool, but I'm having a better time with dwarf character ideas.
I'll dot.
Preference for drows, not because I particularly like them but because:
1)That would probably be the only chance I'd have to play a Lamashtu based character and
2) Dwarves are boring and grumpy :P

I mainly picked dwarves because killing siblings is a thing with drow. :)
Then our PCs will not be siblings. Problem solved!
Jokes aside, I'm the kind of person that always plays good characters and feels bad in videogames when I'm unable to save puppies: playing something evil once in a while is fun. :P
Also, I change my previous statement: scrap the Lamashtu idea, I could play a Pain Taster of Zon-Kuthon!
*WHIPCRACK*
I'm GMing two games of this on the Dwarf side, but if you do run it with Drow I'd love to give it a shot as a player, provided you don't mind me having a bit of extra information.

Does this include the new Advanced Classes?
Choon wrote:

The book has a few ways that the GM can set it up to deter the Drow from killing each other. I think it mostly falls under the universal "Don't be a dick" law, though. One can be evil without being a teammate killer.
Oh, man. I haven't even looked at the new classes. Any opinions on them?
They're cool, and looks balanced. The only one that seems a little nuts is the Arcanist: there was the Warpriest that looked a bit too strong, too, but we've seen it got nerfed in the preview blog some weeks ago.
Also, GM Olmek, what are your stances on house-rulings (concerning Whips, specifically :P)?
Oh, man. I haven't even looked at the new classes. Any opinions on them?
I absolutely adore the Investigator - It's a class that I've wanted for a long time and it's done very well. Bloodrager was pretty fun, too. I haven't checked out the others.
Yes, I expressed interest in playing an ACG class as well in my initial post. More specifically, the Slayer if we end up choosing Drow. Two of my favorite classes combined, what's not to like? :)
I was eyeballing Skald if we go Dwarf, but the -2 Cha would hurt.
