Triceratops #1 roars angrily at the only target it can see: Emit. It double moves to get close to Emit, clambering awkwardly over the raised pedastal.
***
The Tyrannosaurus Rex stands up and roars it's defiance at the prehistoric world.
***
Raptor Pack #1 move towards Baker, their serrated claws clicking against the cold marble floor. With frightening speed they attack!

Grab Attack vs. Baker's Parry Defense: DC 11: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 201d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 231d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

Raptor's Opposed Strength checks: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 121d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 151d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
@Baker You need to roll either a Strength or Dodge check for each Raptor, in order. 1 degree of failure applies the Immobile and Vulnerable conditions. 2 or more degrees applies the Immobile, Defenseless, and Impaired conditions.
***
Triceratops #2 steps to the edge of it's pedestal and attempts to gore the Pope!

Gore Attack vs. Pope's Parry Defense: DC 19: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 Damage DC 21

Fails to hit, as the Pope dodges using a defensive Krav Maga maneuver!

@Pope You need to roll either a Strength or Dodge check for each Raptor, in order. 1 degree of failure applies the Immobile and Vulnerable conditions. 2 or more degrees applies the Immobile, Defenseless, and Impaired conditions.
***
Pterodactyl #1 spots something shiny on the floor, grabs it and perches in the Northeast corner of the room. It dares anyone to come and take it's shiny thing.

Pterodactyl #2 swoops down and takes a peck at Baker in passing.
Beak Attack vs. Baker's Parry Defense: DC 11: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
At the last second, one of the raptors tugs you in the wrong direction foiling the Pterodactyl's attack! You ignore Damage Effects of 5 or less.

Pterodactyl #3 swoops down and takes a peck at Timeline.
Beak Attack vs. Timeline's Parry Defense: DC 10: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
@Timeline Make a Toughness save vs. Damage DC 18

Pterodactyl #4 swoops down and takes a peck at Pope in passing.
Beak Attack vs. Pope's Parry Defense: DC 19: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
It connects with a solid jab of it's beak but deflects off the Pope's stone-like hide! You ignore Damage Effects of 5 or less.

good you remembered my uncanny dodge ability to negate the flanking equivalent in M&M is.
I am assuming that because the first raptor missed, i do not need to make a dodge attempt.
Vs raptor #2
dodge: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
Vs raptor #3
dodge: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
so i am unhampered. when in initiative do the dinosaurs go,last or first with DR. O and since he is unconscious they are going instead?

Elder Human Mage 20/ Planeswalker 10/ Engineer 10

They are going on his initiative as they are his minons (not sidekicks). Actually forgot to add flanking in. >.< That's ok the other raptors still hit Baker anyways.

You are correct about only needing two saves as one of them missed.

Elder Human Mage 20/ Planeswalker 10/ Engineer 10

Yes it is your turn. The initiative order is on the previous page. You can copy and paste it to Notepad or Word if you want to access it quickly.

Male Human [0x Bruises] IT System Administrator (2hp/9Lp) 1ppt 0ep

Baker lets the infinite probability of fate flow through him, allowing it to re-write itself to the optimal outcome, and bends the strands of fate against the raptors attacking him, sealing theirs.
(Free action to activate Sealed Fate, Fate Rewritten is already on and soaking up 5 ranks of damage.

Opposed Dodge: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Opposed Dodge: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Opposed Dodge: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Looks like I'm Immobile and Vulnerable as that last raptor gets a lucky grab on me.

Oh, right, it's our turn. I have more than just free actions, cause Immobile just means I can't move. I should fix that. I'll post my fix tomorrow.

Male Human [0x Bruises] IT System Administrator (2hp/9Lp) 1ppt 0ep

Ok, for the rest of my actions, I'm going to spend a move action to watch how the raptors act while attacking to see if I can mimic them.

perception DC13: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

...and have no idea what I'm seeing. Their movements are apparently too foreign to me.

Baker, intently watching the raptors advance, tries to make sense of their movements... and can't follow their actions. They're just too strange. Given no other chance, Baker takes a wild swing at one.

Fist: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10

...and a wild swing it is.

Middle-aged Human Male [Injuries] [HP]0[Luck] 0 [Defenses] D: +9/P: +9/T: +0/F: +0/W: +0 [Stats] STR: +4/STA: +0/AGI: +1/DEX: +0/FIG: +1/INT: +0/AWE: +0/PRE: +0

for my actions that are not reactionary
For my action I use the alternate power of Joe punch. i spend my move action activating the stance. As per rules of multi-attack, when attacking many opponents, you make an attack against each and take a penalty to all attacks equal to the number of enemies. so I take a -4 penalty and i am not power attacking, so 11-4= +7 to hit, and the alternate punch has power 3+4 str. to get damage level 7 for a DC 22 fort save for all attacks.
Triceratops
attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
N59 raptor
attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
N61 raptor
attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
O60 raptor
attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
That will use up all of my actions for the turn.

Elder Human Mage 20/ Planeswalker 10/ Engineer 10

@Baker Your Mimic ability does not require a move action to activate. Just a Perception roll of 19 or higher as a free action.

The Pope's martial training serves him well as he delivers a punishing series of kicks and punches to his nearby enemies.

The Alpha raptor (N59) manages to avoid being hit but just barely.

Triceratops Toughness: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (16) + 14 = 30 Damage DC 22
Raptor(N61) Toughness: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 Damage DC 22
Raptor(O60) Toughness: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 Damage DC 22

The Triceratops' armored skull easily withstands the Pope's blows.

The two Raptors are not looking nearly as pretty. Bruise & Staggered(Dazed/Hindered)

Male Human [0x Bruises] IT System Administrator (2hp/9Lp) 1ppt 0ep

Elder Human Mage 20/ Planeswalker 10/ Engineer 10

@Baker:Absolutely, you saw him performing those moves. Also I formally retract my earlier statement about your mimicry power. It is a move action to activate and it is only DC 13 Perception. My sheet has been updated to reflect that.

@Timeline: You can't make out what any of the devices do from this distance. It may have something to do with the small man being carried away by the giant lizard-bird to it's new "nest".

In a reactionary flash of probability, with Baker seeming to be at the epicenter, a sixty foot sphere of influence shifts through the fields of fate. Each of the dinosaurs that had, an instant before, begun to tear at Baker find themselves in an alternate realm of probability.
Eye of Ithran (plus 1 luck point) forces all dinos within a 30' spread of Baker to reroll their attacks. They must take the worse of the rolls. (eg. the T-rex, my three raptors and my Pterodactyl.)

Still struggling with combat, seeing as I'm not a combat character. However, Baker will try using Krav Maga again on the T-Rex this time.

Forgot I had "Beginner's Luck," so i'll be spending a Hero Point on that to get 5 ranks in "Close Combat: Unarmed" for the rest of the encounter. Should'a used this earlier...

Check it out Pope, your moves even work on bigger guys, like this T-Rex!

unreliable: 1d20 ⇒ 18
Close Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 5 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 7 + 5 + 5 = 23 Damage DC 22
Baker is lucky enough to remember the martial arts moves he saw The Pope make, and still showing off to Rabi Joe. He strikes out against the T-Rex using the same movements he had previously.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but baker your last ability does not add up. in Mutants and masterminds, the bonus to hit on an attack and the damage from the attack cannot exceed twice the power level so for us 20, Since the Damage for it is 7, and the to hit from you ability score is 7, you have only 6 points to play around with and the mimicking me added 5 more, so you are 1 point below the 20 max. while you can do your beginners luck to gain 5, you could only use 1 of that and waste the 4 other ranks, or you would purposefully be decreasing you damage output to damage 3 so damage dc 18. Since you used a hero point to gain this benefit, it seems wasteful to use that resource just to gain a plus 1. sorry to be the rules guy on this, but when i made my character i was very aware of how high i could rise my to hit and my damage DC.

Elder Human Mage 20/ Planeswalker 10/ Engineer 10

Actually, as the Beginner's Luck only works for one scene (i.e. this combat) it is a temporary bonus which is allowed to increase your to hit/damage bonus above normal Power Level limits. Same as if Superman used Iron Man's suit to temporarily gain more Protection to say...survive a trip through a black hole to return to his universe. The bonus would be lost after that scene (the suit is too heavily damaged to be useful and the points revert back to Iron Man who grabs a spare suit). He can gain this boost every combat but it requires a Hero point each time which balances it out.

Baker's Cocky Luck ability on the other hand, is indeed a "permanent" ability boost even though it is not always active.

Elder Human Mage 20/ Planeswalker 10/ Engineer 10

Triceratops #2 Toughness: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (20) + 14 = 34 DC 22 Shakes off the Pope's hit easily.
Alpha Raptor (#4) Toughness: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 DC 22 Takes a serious blow, bruising and staggering it. That'll teach him to laugh at the Pope.
T-Rex Toughness: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12 DC 22 Rolled a nat 1. How unlucky for him. :) Bruised and Staggered.

Baker:
I am unclear if spending a Hero Point on yourself for the Beginner's Luck ability triggers your complication and spawns a BBE? Not sure if we ever agreed on what would happen.

Emit:
Dr. Oz looks rather worse for wear. His top hat has been crushed flat, including the propeller blades. He has an electronic wrist device that is beeping. It looks similar to your wrist device, although a much older model. His belt seems to have several different devices most of which appear to be crushed. Number still active: 1d2 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0 He appears to be missing his cane (likely dropped when he got crushed) and there appears to be a device missing from a specially crafted backpack he is wearing. The device must be spherical by nature.

We need to make these dinos extinct, NOW! Emit, can you turn off whatever that guy did?

Ok hold posting til I get the re-rolls from Baker's ability up. I'm seeing that in addition to Raptor Pack 1 and the T-Rex, the Triceratops that is beating the Pope up has to re-roll as well. Raptor #6 Toughness: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22 vs. Damage DC 22

It's natural agility saves the raptor from a devastating uppercut.

Your damage DC for Joe Punch! is 3 higher when you hit single targets. That doesn't negate good rolls but it might end up being more effective at getting these dinos to stay down. Especially the Triceratops. they have a very large Toughness bonus because of being a construct and having a tough hide. The only one that took damage was the one that got shot by the tank.

Baker:
It's about time you took that beast down. Are you aware of how boring it is to see you struggling so pathetically?

Now your new friends, they know how to party! We can't let them show us up! How about you and I make a deal? You do what I say and I'll grant you a new ability? It'll be fun...
You can feel him grinning somewhere inside your skull.

Male Human [0x Bruises] IT System Administrator (2hp/9Lp) 1ppt 0ep

Ithran:
I'm only pathetic cause you're the god of trickery, not the god of ass-kicking; I'm pretty athletic in all honesty.
Baker takes a mental pause.
I'll hear you out though; you do keep things interesting. What are you thinking and what new power are you going to be giving me?

Baker:
Perhaps I do not kick as much "ass" as other of my kin but can they say they brought an entire civilization to it's knees in under a fortnight? With naught but a single otherworldly trinket? I dare Thor or Apollo to do as much. Not even the All-Father was able to reclaim that civilization.

Less of a power and more of a minor trick really. You see that armored chariot your timeless friend has summoned? I want you to jump to it. I will explain everything once you have done so. No guarantees that your pathetic mind will truly comprehend it all of course.

On an entirely seperate note, you don't get airsick do you?

Male Human [0x Bruises] IT System Administrator (2hp/9Lp) 1ppt 0ep

Ithran:
Make it 'just so happen' that I don't get noticed this first time, and I'll do it. In the future, I'll be sure to costume up first, but I don't think everyone is quite yet aware that I've got you around, and I think it'll give me an edge if we keep it that way for a while longer. And no, as far as I'm aware I don't get airsick...

Baker gives Ithran a sidelong look, mentally shakes his head thinking,

Well, wouldn't be the first time I've gone and put my trust in this guy...thing... in my head,

...and leaps.
