After setting aside the pouches and sets of clothes, Kelvar moved to help Kaath remove the armor. "I also could use armor, but I suspect several of us could. It may be that we will have to draw straws for the two sets of armor."

Having dealt with the guard problem for the moment, Iscar sets about trying to free more of his cohort. He runs to the cell containing the stone Man and uses the key unlock the door before getting out of the way of the escapees

Having ensured everyone is free and mobile, Iscar runs back to the locked entrance door to serve as a watchman.

Round 2: Perception to hear approaching guards, ready an action to run back to the others if guards approach/start attempting to open the door.

Observing Woodes run and grab a longsword, Kelvar thought to himself This one is a little obsessed with grabbing a sword. Still, he looks quite capable with it, although I think he relies more on finesse than brute force.

To Woodes, he said, "Since you have claimed a longsword, would you object to being removed from consideration for one of the sets of armor? I'm certain we'll find more, but for the short term, there may be others who would benefit more."

As the jail cell opens, Kord moves to the Door of the jail. With his ear to the wood he listens for footsteps and readies an action to grapple anyone who tries to enter.

He feels pressure around him constrict a bit and senses Caprin's Mage Armor. Without breaking from his task, he nods his head towards Caprin and thanks him.

Finishing unlocking the last of the shackles in the cell, Yzera looks to the others.

I could use some armor and a sword. Not my preferred weapon, but one that I am well skilled with.

Yzera would not mind having a sword and armor, although with the number of people we have, we will see who needs it.

Rodgers is basically cuddling his new sword like a 6 year-old on Christmas, but he's just waiting to get into position to fight.

Through the door you can hear the muffled bark of guard dogs coming from down the stairs and several voices but you cannot make out anything they may be saying. They may be at the bottom of the stairs or further away. You guess perhaps 30 seconds before they get to you.

Iscar hears the movement from the bottom of the stairs, and goes to pass the message on to everyone else.

"Ladies and gentlemen - and our new friend mr Grumblejack - the cavalry appears to be on it's way. I'd give this next bunch of guards about 30 seconds before they arrive. I'm no master strategist, but it seems like bottlenecking them is a safe avenue and pincering them is an even better plan of attack.

When I first departed the room earlier, there was a meeting room. It attaches to the main hall out there, and if we can somehow get through to the meeting room from here, we can split our party into two groups and rush our captors from behind at the exact moment they break through the door.

Unless any of your has a better idea, or you are all inclined to just wait for them to break the hinges off, we may want to establish two squads now." Once again, Iscar smiles a wry smile. "Knowing how eager some of you are, I'm willing to forfeit my right to a spot in the vanguard." Because I've already been far too close to the action for one day I think. Asmodeus-only-knows, I'm a thinker not a fighter.

Kord seems to listen intently to every word that escapes Iscar's mouth. Kord has never worked with a group so large.

"I believe we must act like the trapdoor spider, and wait to pounce. For if we split our group in two, and The men check the other room you speak of first, they will be outnumbered and we lose our advantage. But here we can funnel them one at a time."

Kord sizes up grumblejack.

Long arms for bashing at a distance. He will be our spider.

Kord addresses Grumblejack like he would a favorite hunting dog.

"Grumblejack! Please come over to this dead guard here and be ready to crush Blue-Shirts, they will come through this doorway."

Kord points to the guard closest to him and the door we are bottle-necking.

"Iscar if you do not wish to fight now, then move back. The door will open in your face anyway."

Unless this is some weird universe where everyone is naturally left handed, Im assuming the door opens to the right.
