Ack! I'll miss it too. It's a way of relaxing with all the craziness going on. Next week I'll be gone longer though. I have to go to my parents place cuz my mom's having surgery and they need me there for a few days and they don't even have internet. They are really living in the stone age. LOL

Hey all, I'm back. It was a really long trip and I didn't rest a whole lot while I was out there, so I was pretty beat by the time I got back this morning at 1am. The house was almost 90 degrees and it took a while for it to cool off, so it was almost 3am before I could fall asleep. I didn't get up till after 5pm, and then I had to spend time calling everyone letting them know I made it home safe. I'm gonna try to post something today, but I have to eat something since I haven't eaten anything since about noon yesterday.
It was a pretty stressful weekend for me, but at least I got to see my family. Depending on what happens there may be more trips in the future, but nothings been decided yet. They found that the cancer has spread to her brain, so...we will just have to wait and see.
Anyways, I'll be on after a while. Hope everyone is having a good week.

Sorry to hear the cancer has metastasized. Understand you need to put real life first.

Well, I slept for 14 hrs yesterday, but no sleep last night and I have to work tonight...so, I'll be laying down for a while. I'm tired, but I haven't been able to sleep a whole lot and now my schedule is all kinds of screwed up. Going out to my parents place next week wont be much better. My mom got sick and they put off her surgery until August sometime, but I told her I couldn't keep going out there and she wants me to come out anyways. So, I guess I will be highjacked by my folks after all.
Vinccenso Pruffi |
Take a deep breath. Go on with your day. I realize it is difficult, but if you can find a way to persevere you will be the better for it. We will still be here when you get back.
Tesia |
Thanks Vin. I really do need the sleep. It wouldn't be good for my lazy co workers if I was cranky when I got to work. LOL And don't worry about me, I've been through far worse than this with my family. Here lately it just always seems like something.
You know how it is. Anyways, I actually feel like I could fall asleep for a while so I'll sack out here in a few minutes.
Thanks to everyone for your support and kind words.

Okay, I know I told everyone earlier, but just as a reminder I'm heading to the deep wilderness to visit my folks this week. I'll be leaving tomorrow morning and won't be back until sometime Thursday. I'm not sure if I'll have any access to internet out there or not, so I may not be on for a few days. Tesia will pretty much agree to do whatever the majority of the party wishes to do. This way your gameplay can go on without me and I won't hold things up too terribly much. Hope everyone has an absolutely splendid week. Ciao
Just try to keep out of really bad fights till I get back. *wink*
Tesia |
I thank you for trying to make her look a little better, but I didn't know if you had seen earlier when she went to get her stuff she changed out of the dress cuz she figured they were going to a rougher place and didn't want to get it messed up again. LOL
I gotta go for now. I'll be back on tomorrow after I get back home from the country. Sometime in the evening I think. Take care all!

So what's our game plan? You guys are quizzing him on the history of his inn. I think I might slip out the back and try to find a side entrance and sneak through, but I need to have some semblance of idea that she's actually here and not trying to help get that information doesn't help us at all guys!
Tesia |
Ok, I see what you're saying, but we can't just go up to him and say, "Hey, by the way have you seen a suspicious looking drow, or an Orc by chance?" We don't know anything about this guy or what he's really up to. So, I think its prudent to err on the side of caution when in a situation like this. We should split up and look around for ourselves. Make like we are wondering around the casino looking at the various games, and while doing that we can look for the drow and the orc. We have to be careful though since I think the drow might recognize at least one or two of us.
Ithelien |
Oh, most certainly not, Tesia. We're barking up the wrong tree, no doubt. I mean, our GM is no doubt clever and malicious (as all GMs inevitably become >_>) so he will have some sort of plot twist in mind for us. Like, for example, Quiverpike actually stole the stone himself from some ancient kingdom of drow, and the drow want it back (rather justifiably), or some such. xD
GM Henry Fortuna |
I wonder how far these conspiracy theories will go. I'm waiting for "Korbak actually hired the drow who hired the gnome who got beat up by Tarok. And the orcs are going to use the stone to take over the world by charming the pants off every woman! But Tarok double-crossed Korbak and is in hiding now."
Ithelien |
Ooh, I like that one! Can I try another?
Every one of the NPCs who have been assigned to us has been in on the plot to steal the rock. When we least expect it, they shall all pull of their faces and shout "Surprise!", revealing that it was in fact, Bill's birthday, and that the man himself is still alive. Their faces - beneath the ones we've seen - are in fact, all clones of the drow woman.
... Please forgive any oddness I may display. I appear to be rather tired.
Évelyne Sauveterre |
Quiverpike is actually the Tarrasque. In addition, the gnome emits halluciogenic vapors and the PC's are actually still in the Quiverpike mansion tripping on them. Everything after finding the gnome has only been a shared hallucination. Also, the drow is a wizard and Verrill is actually her familiar and spying on the group.
Vinccenso Pruffi |
It says bad things about me that Evelyn's comments got me thinking about appropriate (& more importantly effective) prophylactics for having sex with Succubi, particularly ones that a Wizard might think of...
Which got me thinking that the most effective would be to use Magic Jar or Marionette Possession to possess someone else & 'do the deed' in their body...
I'm a bad person...
Vinccenso Pruffi |
I like Tesia's idea.
It was more of a 'clinical fascination/can't look away from the trainwreck' train of thought anyway.
Vinccenso Pruffi |
Oh, so like Twilight?
Pretty much, only with better writing, acting & plot...
Vinccenso Pruffi |
Ithelien, what is causing your discomfort?
Actually, let me try this again. Where would you be more comfortable with this conversation going?
The point is for all of us to have fun & if one of us isn't then everyone else's enjoyment will be diminished ultimately as well.
Tesia |
I don't think anyone had this kind of story in mind when we were thinking romantic tragedy, but it seems to fit a little doesn't it? A stone that could in the wrong hands control people into doing whatever the holder wishes? Seems pretty diabolical to me..
