Excuse my poor memory. I went back and checked the fight with the slavers and thought I only used Hexes. Lots of them, but only hexes. But I checked again and I did cast Mage Armour earlier. And I only have it memorised once, can I use a hex instead?
See here for the table giving bonus spells for abilities and level. Red has an intelligence of 20, intelligence is what she is best at, after shagging girls that is. :P
You can swap it for a Hex, no worries :)

Rogue One Willpower Save
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21The enemy is able to save, unfortunately. At this time we need Anhur to act, then we can move forward.

Anhur |

Anhur draws a spear and stabs at the man sandwiched between himself and the great Bear.
Spear: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 3 + 2 = 24, Damage: 1d8 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (8) + 4 + (2) = 14
The man is clearly distracted by the larger fighter and Anhur's spear finds its mark with terrible precision.
I think my Eyes of the Cat keep me on target here.
Should the other guys be rolling for miss chance too?

A very good hit, indeed, you felled your man, Anhur!
Also, the guys SHOULD have the same penalty as you, unless they, too, are not affected by the dark either...
Meanwhile, Samir tries to move past the guy's threatened space via an Acrobatics roll to prevent the guy from getting around him -
Samir's Acrbotics Roll -
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
EDIT: This fails, the enemy gains an AoO on Samir -
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
If it hits -
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
EDIT: That hits - Samir takes 6-1 Damage for a total of 5 Damage
Samir screams in pain at his move, but he does not let him attempt to respond...
Samir then attempts to attack Rogue One from his new position at J:8
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
If he hits -
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
EDIT: it hits, and might confirm -
Roll to Confirm
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
If it hits -

Rogue One has now suffered 7 points of damage and cannot flee down the alley.

Dain GM |

The enemy has left the body of the man in the corner and is rushing to deal with you now!
Rogue One will continue to attack Samir
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
If it hits –
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Rogue Three will attack Bjeorn
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
If it hits –
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Rogue Four will move up and attack Hedran
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
If it hits –

Rogue Five will move up to attack Bjeorn too, but gaining a Flanking Bonus
1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 5 + 2 = 12
If it hits –
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
1d6 ⇒ 4
EDIT
In a staggering show of ineptitude all of the enemy seem to have missed their targets; one of them clearly dropping his blade next to Samir while the others all seem to be swinging rather wildly.
Well, it looks like your move...

She Who Knows |

She Who Knows leans forward and touches Anhur's wooden armour, uttering "Solas!". The wooden armour begins to emit light in a 20' radius [light spell]. She Who Knows also draws her stabbing dagger.
I figure allowing everyone to see is more effective than anything I can do with a Hex. I think these guys can see in the dark.

Anhur |

Anhur shifts in to flank with Samir, then stabs again with his blood-covered spear.
Spear + flank: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 3 + 2 = 13, Damage: 1d8 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (7) + 4 + (5) = 16
He then drops his spear and draws his club and dagger, preparing for a more intense melee. "Your legacy will be a blood stain on this street." He hisses at his opponent.

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
If it hits -
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
EDIT: Samir missed his target; Bjeorn was hit and has taken a total of 7 Damage and Hedran has taken 8 Damage (DR already been calculated).
Your move.

Dain GM |

Dain, wasn't Rogue 5 already being threatened by me? If so, and even if he can move 'roundabout' to flank me, aren't I entitled an AoO because he is leaving my threatened square, but not using the 'Retreat' action?
You're right! I forgot about that; please toss it up first, then let me know what your next move is. Depending on how you do, you may be able to forestall his attack. Also, good luck! :)

She Who Knows |

I am going to wait to see if Hedran kills rogue 5 and then target rogue 5 if he does not.

His current AC while asleep is 7 and you gain a +4 Modifier to hit him (meaning you pretty much only need to roll a 3 or above to do it; assuming you have no other combat bonuses). He does have a DR of 1 via his armor, but he also lost 7 HP.
Oh yeah; and the other enemies seem to have missed completely...

Which rogue is still up? The one flanked by Anhur and me should have been gutted pretty well.
Bjoern quickly attacks the next bandit.

You didn't kill the one you and Anhur flanked - he was still standing, but only by a thread.
Given that you still have the flanking bonus with Anhur, this means you hit him and drop him on your attack.
The combat map does have the stats of the enemies on the side under "comments" to indicate how they're doing. Let me know if it's not coming up for you and I'll do what I can to help.

He balls up his fist and stuffs it into the bloody wound at his side to stem the bleeding.
"I will live," he growls in a tight, pained voice.
At this point I'm just going to bot Hedren and have him Coup de Grace the last guy.
He then stoops and cleans his sword on the corpse of the man before him and begins to rifle the body of any goods and gear.
He glances up at Red.
"Many thanks," he says to her with a quick nod of his head.
After a brief moment he then moves to search the second body.
Then he curses when he searches the third body...
There are two more bodies to loot; not to mention the man in the corner. What are you guys going to do?

Red begins to move over to the man felled by the rogues to see if he lives when her attention is drawn by Samir's curse, Red says "What is it Samir? I hope nobody is badly hurt, I can heal a person only once a day, so your wounds will have to await the dawn."
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

He glances at her, then the wagons flanking the streets. While the road was made wide enough to bring wagons to this point to unload behind the warehouses, those two were left on either side, clearly to block exit routes.
"These three men have nothing on them. They are all masked, they have no coin, no pouches, no jewelry or any gear of note but their arms and armor, which are well-made, but hardly distinctive."
He looks at the wagons with a tense look.
"I chose this path as it was a shorter way to the bath house and I did not wish to be noticed by the town watch for reasons... yet it seems we stumbled into a trap for that wretch," he says, gesturing to the fallen man that Red is ministering to.
"Though who they are and what they are doing I do not know, but the more I see... Let us take what we can and leave quickly," he says, clearly nervous about the entire situation, so much so that he seems to be more eager to move than deal with his wound...
The perception roll is for if their is anything to be noticed around the time Samir curses.
Red proceeds to the man the rogues left for dead. If he is not obviously dead she employs the healing hex on him.
Samir is clearly upset; but you'd guess it's because of the reasons he mentioned above, plus the wound. The man you came to is dead; but he himself does seem to have several interesting items on him. More on that when I get back from work tonight...

Anhur |

Anhur clutches his new wound as he collects his discarded spear and puts away his other weapons. "Samir, you seem cunning, but I would prefer you not get us all killed this night." He says, noting Samir's own wounds.

"I don't think it is Samir's fault. What you say about these three Samir leads me to think this is an assassination. Common thieves would not be all devoid of money and the like. And it succeeded, the man is dead. We should get away from here quickly as Samir says. It would be foolish to proceed with our plan of attacking the Red Hand tonight, with so many injured."
Red proceeds to search the dead man, looking for anything that will identify him as well as valuables.

Hedran |

So the man they attacked initially is dead? Hedran will confirm it, just in case.
"Why are you so stressed Samir? Let us grab their gear for starters - it may fetch good money. Who knows?" - the barbarian moves to remove their assailant's gear (what armor were they wearing? Weapons were daggers?), after checking the fallen man for vital signs - "And that wagon may have something of interest?"

Dain GM |

Anhur clutches his new wound as he collects his discarded spear and puts away his other weapons. "Samir, you seem cunning, but I would prefer you not get us all killed this night." He says, noting Samir's own wounds.
Samir glances at Anhur and starts to say something but instead shuts his mouth and continues to search the bodies.
"I don't think it is Samir's fault. What you say about these three Samir leads me to think this is an assassination. Common thieves would not be all devoid of money and the like. And it succeeded, the man is dead."
Samir scowls as he searches the next body and kicks the corpse in frustration.
"Damnation," he spits out.
"They killed the old fool yonder, but for what reason? Why should they have need to do this thing; five against one, with the alleys blocked off... Further, they assailed us also to protect against any witnesses... Why should they care so much if any of us had seen their actions, for their features were already masked," he adds.
Red proceeds to search the dead man, looking for anything that will identify him as well as valuables.
Red; you find several things of note.
He has no armor on him, but he does have a staff laying in the dirt. The staff is made of oak wood and it is strangely carved.
His belt is made of bronze disks clasped together with a thin wire chain attached to a well-made bronze buckle.
Hanging from the belt is a long dagger in a sheath. Sliding it out, you can see the blade is neither bronze nor iron; you think it may be steel, but you are not sure. The hilt and sheath are made of ivory; the pommel is made of obsidian and there are strange runes written upon it.
There is a pouch with 75 gold pieces in it, 37 silver, 23 copper and 4 pearls.
He has a large satchel hanging from his side; the satchel is filled with various scrolls. But the scrolls are written in a strange language which seems to be dark and grim as well as archaic and while the writing on the scroll is illegible, one of the scrolls has strange sketches on it, which can be seen - Here -.
You are not sure where he hails from, but his features seem Khazistani, but not wholly so.
Appraise checks to discover the value of the Belt, the Dagger, the Pearls or the Staff.
Knowledge Checks can be made to gauge more - just mention what you want to learn and what skill you want to try to learn it with. Finally, a Linguistic Check can be made to ascertain more about the scrolls - but that's up to you.
In any case, you may want to do a closer examination of the gear in a more secure place rather then the alley. Also, you're surrounded by dead men, covered in blood and although it is a dark alley, Hedran's sword is still glowing via the Light spell that Red cast upon it.
" It would be foolish to proceed with our plan of attacking the Red Hand tonight, with so many injured."
Samir glances at her.
"Aye; it would be foolish. Yet we did suffer wounds and the folk at the bath house may be able to heal us..."
He looks at the body of the old man, his eyes peering about, clearly nervous about being caught in so compromising a position by local guards.
"Did he have anything of value on him? Perhaps he was naught but some errant noble they elected to slaughter for some cheap coin?" he adds with a distracted voice, peering down the northern alley toward the darkened streets beyond.
So the man they attacked initially is dead? Hedran will confirm it, just in case.
He's definitely dead. Since you looked you'd see he was stabbed six times; two deep thrusts, one in each kidney; two long slashes, each across the back and deep enough to slice into the lungs; one deep thrust in the chest which stabs up into the underside of the heart; the final stab is a deep thrust into the larynx.
"Why are you so stressed Samir? Let us grab their gear for starters - it may fetch good money. Who knows?" - the barbarian moves to remove their assailant's gear after checking the fallen man for vital signs - "And that wagon may have something of interest?"
Samir glances at Hedran, then moves to study the wagon, slamming his hand against after realizing it was empty; just something heavy to block off escape.
He moves back to Hedran and speaks rapidly as he looks around, his voice lowered.
"I am nervous for it is a fact that you and I are known in this city. Further, the town was well pleased at the results of some bounty hunter today for his skill in returning a relic to the temple, especially the priests of Baal-Khardah, and the rewards they gave him were very great."
"All the folk of the city are hungry to be lavished with such praise - finding us next to these dead? The facts would matter little; if some group of guards found us here they could claim whatever tale they wished and so enlarge upon their reputation by suggesting that they had caught us in some foul deed and thus appear to be noble hunters akin to the man this morning who had foiled our dark schemes, no matter how foul a lie it may be..." he retorts as he again glances down one of the alleys.
(what armor were they wearing? Weapons were daggers?)
They each wore plain, leather armor. They each carried a scimitar and a dagger; there was no other equipment on them.

Red will take all the items of note and the coin. Is that staff familiar, didn't the false priest have a staff that was taken by the assassin that killed him?
In which case you also have the pearls, dagger, scrolls, the satchel the scrolls came in, and the belt. The staff doesn't seem to be anything special; it is carved from Oak, and though Oak is not a tree which is native to Susrah, there are no distinct markings, symbols or signs on it; it is mainly carved to function as a sturdy walking staff, possible a staff used as a martial arts weapon; but it doesn't seem to have anything remarkable on it that you can tell.
Also; the false priest DID have a staff on him - this was a mark of status in the religion of Baal-Khardah, a god worshiped in Belthaar and the Celestial mate of Belet-Lil; you had seen that staff, though, and it was capped with a gold symbol on the top which spread like a golden disc which reminded you of the sun. This staff seems fairly unremarkable to you, except that the wood is clearly "exotic" via the region you're in.
? I put the light spell on Anhur's wooden armour.
My bad - he still has the Light spell on it, then; but that can be dismissed if you want to dismiss the spell. Otherwise it will continue to radiate light.
Samir makes the warding symbol at the light glowing from Anhur's armor and turns to Red.
"Can this light be dismissed? It beckons to every errant cutpurse in the darkness."
"Very well, to the bath house then. I have the items, there is some coin and items that may be valuable. Let us get well away from here. I would leave the wagon, but see if there is anything of note or value on it."
As stated earlier; there actually are two wagons, one on each side of the alley (they should have been pictured on the map). Also, neither of them have anything of value on them - of course, this only gives more credence to the fact that the wagons were moved specifically to block the east/west alleys.
Also; Re Knowledge Checks? So many things to learn, even potential History Checks MIGHT be useful. Meantime, Linguistics could be handy, but so could Appraise. After all, it's a good idea to get a price from someone you can trust before asking for a second opinion from another party...
Samir watches Red pocket the items and coin, his eyes following her actions but he says nothing as she collects the goods.
He watches her place the satchel that held the scrolls over her shoulder, then stares at her for a moment, grimacing at the pain, but he says nothing other than - "Very well, let us go, then." even as a few wandering dogs begin to poke their heads down the alleys, while rats begin sniffing the smell of blood from the shadows, their foul eyes gleaming evilly as they see a feast before them.
As soon as the others are ready, Samir quickly leads the group to the bath house.
Though it seems like it has been a good while, you arrive at the bath house less than thirty minutes after leaving the Inn; it is now shortly before 9:30 PM.
He notes the doors are currently shut at the outer wall, and he pauses to study everyone, noting that they are returning to this place after dark with grim faces and most of the company covered in fresh blood.
He looks at the gate for a moment, clearly thinking -
"We may gain a grim reputation at this House if we return many times in a short while covered ever and again in this filth," he says, indicating his bloody clothes "What story shall we tell them to gainsay such fears, and who among us shall tell it?" he asks the group.

"It is those warding symbols that will be next! You seem happy enough when your enemies nod off to sleep in combat, then the next minute it is back to "suffer not a witch to live" and similar carry on. Make up you mind will you."
I am beginning to expect the Spanish Inquisition.
Red will dismiss the light. If it can't just be dismissed Red will cast light on an object that is staying here, which will cause the first light cantrip to end.
"We may gain a grim reputation at this House if we return many times in a short while covered ever and again in this filth," he says, indicating his bloody clothes "What story shall we tell them to gainsay such fears, and who among us shall tell it?" he asks the group.
"Well, obviously, we tell them we have been in a tryst with your other girlfriend and former owner, this time not in a graveyard but an abattoir. I can explain, they are all quite broad minded here so I don't think they will have a problem with it."

Dain GM |

"Obviously! First you shag my girlfriend, then we follow you into this bloodbath and now you are describing my genius detective work as obvious. What will it be next?"replies Red amiably, poking her tongue out at Samir.
At this statement Samir looks quite out of countenance, clearly shocked Red's words.
After a moment of baffled confusion, he merely mutters "It is written - Beware the speech of the wyrding woman, for her tongue is full of mischief... "
When he sees Red poking her tongue at him he nods his head sagely to himself, as if Red's action has demonstrated some evidence of his guesswork, but says no more on the subject.
Red will take the staff too, just on a hunch. Then tries to she if she knows anything about the items.
History: 29
Without specific direction on what you're using the history for (as in; is there a time in history where staff's were used for magic; or martial arts; or is their historical motivations for someone carrying pearls in the desert; and so on) it is somewhat difficult to decide how to best answer this, as there could be a multitude of angles you might have wished to pursue.
However, given your total (not to mention the Natural 20) I will say that the piece of lore you have via history makes you consider the feelings you had when you saw the writings and the picture on the scrolls.
Specifically, although you cannot decipher the writing on the scrolls, the very look of it seems to make you feel a sense of darkness and foreboding. This makes you think of old tales and legends of ancient times before gods; it was said that men worshiped dark things from beyond our world and were gifted great power.
With such abilities made manifested within them they thus wrote the methods of their success for those who would follow after; yet the very words and language used to reference such dark things were often judged so foul that if people were to see or hear the names of the creatures then they would feel an almost primal sense of dread and loathing.
You are not sure, but you suspect the scrolls have something within them that is far more ancient and (potentially) more insidious; this is why, although you cannot read them, they evoke emotions within you that are grim, even though you have no idea what they mean.
"It is those warding symbols that will be next! You seem happy enough when your enemies nod off to sleep in combat, then the next minute it is back to "suffer not a witch to live" and similar carry on. Make up you mind will you."
He pauses for a moment, looking at her carefully.
"The serpent may slay vermin, yet a wise man shall not forget the potency of its venom," he adds, as if quoting an axiom.
He then looks pointedly at the staff in her hands, then his turn to glance at the bag which holds the scrolls and he wets his lips nervously.
"I apologize - I am in pain; I did not mean my base fears to cause you distress," he adds, his eyes avoiding hers, instead his gaze seems more focused on watching her hand on the staff.
The light is easily dismissed, no worries :)
Once the light is extinguished he leads the company to the gates of "The Wet Embrace" and listens to suggestions.
"Well, obviously, we tell them we have been in a tryst with your other girlfriend and former owner, this time not in a graveyard but an abattoir. I can explain, they are all quite broad minded here so I don't think they will have a problem with it."
Samir looks at Red for a moment.
"I believe if we follow that suggestion things will go... poorly," he says, studying her carefully in the dim moonlight.
Hedran has to cover his mouth to not burst laughing at Red's words - "Maybe we tell them we were waylaid, and there was a bloody battle?"
Samir glances at Hedran.
"Aye... such things may happen from time to time; for Fortune does not always smile on men."
"Yet for Fortune to be so grim so frequently... For assuredly we are yet the company of folk recently arrived in this city under unique circumstances at best... and we are also that same company who are confessed to be wanted by the authorities - and our bodies now bear further evidence that we have dealt with death and bloodshed on at least more than one occasion this day..."
He clears his throat and glances around, then looks at Hedran again.
"With respect, sadiq I am not sure the folk inside will be eager to associate with those who Fortune is so hard with, for they may fear that Fortune may be equally hard on those who choose to succor us..."
"Still; I shall not gainsay your decision, for it seems to me that is wiser than the suggestion of the... the Lady who travels with us," he adds with a respectful nod to Red.
At this point Samir will knock on the doors. It will take some time before an attendant comes to open a small shutter on the wall and peer through it, studying you all in the dim light.
When the attendant sees your company (this attendant is clearly someone you did not see earlier) they eye you all with grim suspicion and they do not seemed to be inclined to allow any of you to enter the Bath House unless you first convince him that you are there either to pay homage to his goddess, or have specific business with the Priestess of the House.
Samir bows before the man and turns to his companions, the man at the door staring at you all with a cold gaze.
"A thousand apologies," he says with a low, though somewhat awkward and pained bow "I am but a lowly servant and I would not speak before my betters excepting to clarify my position. Meanwhile, I have no doubt that those who I serve shall enlarge upon the answers which you seek," he adds with a gracious voice, then gestures politely to you all.
Right; it's now up to one of you guys to convince the door man to let you in; give him your reason and a Diplomacy check and any other details you think will help your case. Remember, the guy sees a bunch of strangers who look like dangerous killers/barbarians/thieves outside his door covered in blood; he needs a really good reason to let you in and is basically informing you that the Bath House isn't a "charity" - remember that when you make your pitch; he's not going to be swayed to opening the door to what appears to him as a bunch of dangerous people covered in blood simply because they claim they need help - he clearly thinks you might be plotting something shady.
The alternative is you can go back to the inn and try to rest it off until morning - but I leave how this is going to go up to you. Good luck :)

"I was just joking Samir. You must agree that it would be amusing. Not very successful as a strategy and a poor idea, but amusing."

Red speaks demurely and respectfully, quite the contrast to what she had been threatening to say, saying "It is we who should apologise sir. We must look a fright, we were waylaid by murderous thieves on our way here and were forced to fight for our lives. But our intentions are pious and respectful. We are here to see the High Priestess. If you are reluctant to disturb this important lady at this hour, the lady named Alia knows of us, perhaps you could consult her."
Persuasion: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
If anyone can come up with an assist it may be badly needed.

Anhur |

Anhur stands before the man and beckons to him with sincerity. "We have survived, but not without pain. Is your city always so dangerous for travelers? Is there no respite for the robbed, the wounded, and the weary within these walls? Surely there is mercy for poor strangers within the hands of your great goddess. Or is she not such a goddess as we have heard?"
Diplomacy: 1d20 ⇒ 18

Bjoern Ghostbear |

Bjoern shrugs and nods. "Well we were unlucky."
Diplo: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (6) - 2 = 4
Holding the little gash on his arm the northener is nevertheless quite impressed with himself, as there were many and then... none!

Tairin of the Veils |

Least you all lived. ;) I'll be back to posting today. Dain GM, did you want any activity at the inn undertaken on this thread or on discussion?

"I was just joking Samir. You must agree that it would be amusing. Not very successful as a strategy and a poor idea, but amusing."
Samir glances at her for, then studies her for a longer moment, pausing a bit as if thinking.
"Ah.. A saucy wit, indeed," he responds, his eyes inscrutable, yet his lip quirks with a small smile.
The guard at the door is not impressed very much at this point, and he gives them all a hard stare.
"Well, what do you have to say? Will you wait all night before explaining why folk covered in blood and filth should be allowed within the House?"
"Come now - what brought you to this lowly state?" he growls irascibly.
Bjoern shrugs and nods. "Well, we were unlucky."
"Unlucky?" he barks out, both in surprise and not a little awe at Bjeorn's response, especially given the damage you have suffered.
"Fortunately the would be assailants were repelled"
"Ah! I see... or rather, I see it may appear so," he mutters rubbing his chin and considering things.
As suave and sincere as the Southron's efforts are in truth, his words seems to upset the guard.
"What? Not such a goddess? Now then..." he growls, clearly getting angry, but before he continue, Red steps forward.
So I swapped a little how the conversation went to reflect things a bit differently; but the total effect of Red's Diplomacy Check and Anhur's Aid bonus to it is that it would have got you to Alia.
His eyes narrow and he studies her.
"My mistress is closeted within, for she has duties tonight to perform as the moon is growing brighter and followers of Belet-Lil honor the moon as well as the flesh... Yet if you would speak to Alia, then I shall be able to fetch her," he adds.
He closes the shutter in the gate and the company is left outside for a period of about ten minutes before the gate is opened and Alia and the guard greet you in the courtyard, the guard close to the heavy gate, but saying little as Alia sees you.
Her eyes widen in surprise at what she sees and she wrings her hands delicately.
"Come in, come in," she says, beckoning you inside and then taking you to a small antechamber next to the courtyard where there are benches to sit upon around a small pool of water.
She says something briskly to the guard and he leaves, then returns with some linen strips and a bowl of warm water.
The two begin to clean and dress your wounds, doing what they can to make you comfortable, even though they cannot do much to heal you outright.
When you next get an 8 Hour bed rest add +2 HP to your total Healing for her Aid.
She offers you a small flagon of date wine, and small cups to drink it as she reclines before you.
"Your wounds will require rest, I think, but you should recover your full health soon."
"Beyond that, how can I help you?" she asks them.

Glad you're back, Tairin! Meanwhile, I think if you keep it on the Campaign Page for now, but in spoilers, that might be easier. If we start doing more split-party things then I think I may come up with an alternative plan, but hopefully in this case you and the gang will be reuniting with each other relatively soon! :)

Tairin of the Veils |

Tairin, finding herself alone and bored, climbed the stairs to her bedchamber and deposited her pack and sundries in the room she was to share with Red. Removing one of the perfumes from her pack - a heady scent of lotus and fig - she added a touch to her wrists and throat - before stoppering and carefully placing the perfume back inside her bag. Taking out the brush, she combed it through her silken locks until they were shining black waves down her back. Tairin kept the scimitars (2) at her hips, in the folds of her linen cloak. Hiding her pack 'neath her cot and then locking the door of her room, Tairin hid the key deep in the inside pocket of her cloak and made her way back down to the Common room. She did not wish to give another pickpocket the chance to steal her key.
Unwinding her veils, except those which covered her face (except for her dark eyes), she exposed some of her light bronzed skin, and, then approaching the zither player, asked the man, "Please kindly accompany my singing with a slow, heady melody. I wish to dance this night. If any would try to touch or hurt me, I will pay you two gold coins to stop them." Tairin smiled and moved to the front of the musicians and began to gracefully move her arms and shoulders as her sweet, haunting voice softly filled the room and the musicians began to follow her lead. Her subtle gyrations filled the space around her with the scent of her alluring perfume and Tairin lost herself in the melody and song; lowering her long, dark lashes, so her eyes were half hidden and enticing. Still, she was quietly vigilant of all the surrounding patrons in the Common Room.
Diplomacy with musicians: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 8 + 2 = 16 (+2 circumstance bonus on diplomacy for perfume).
Perform: Dance: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24 (Considered a great performance)
Perform: Sing: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20 (Considered a great performance)
Perception for sign of threat/trouble/something of note: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Stealth - so as to not be noted observing her surroundings: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21
(Secret Scents (Su): The temptress employs subtle perfumes that dull the minds of all nearby. All creatures within 30 feet of the temptress suffer a -2 penalty on saves against mind-affecting effects.)
(Dain GM: The linked music video is an hour long, but for the purposes of this dance/song, Tairin will only use the first song at this time.)

Hedran |

"Actually I'm not sure you can do anything for us besides what you have already done" - Hedran nods - "Which has been much, to be honest. In healing our wounds" - he adds.
"Apart from that, we were under the impression your mistress had certain abilities which would help us in locating those who assailed us earlier today" - the man continues, pouring the date wine for his companions first using the offered cups, then serving himself also, and drinking generously - "But it seems she is not available tonight" - he shrugs.

Response
1. Your performance is well received and you are asked for another. During your time singing, you manage to earn 3d10 ⇒ (1, 3, 10) = 14 GP (for this I’m keeping it simple; no worrying about converting silver/copper – the sum will just be bumped to gold for ease).
A few of the more rowdy patrons make some passes at you, but surprisingly the Innkeeper himself seems more instrumental in breaking their advance up.
Afterwards you discover that this is because he is a relatively shrewd businessman; not only does he not wants fights in his house, but he believes that entertainment is good for business. He is willing to offer you a rate of 20 gold a week (payable at the end of the week) plus room and board for free. In addition, you would be able to keep whatever you’re tipped by patrons, if you are interested.
2. During the evening you are able to hear various conversations. Most of them are unimportant, but a few catch your attention:
A: The military force which returned today was few in number and heavily damaged (most of the men seem badly wounded) but it was judged as a great success, largely because their mission was successful. You are not sure what they succeeded at, but some have spoken of a valuable prisoner they captured.
B: Several members of the town guard were grumbling over the fact that bounty hunter was receiving more accolades then the local militia/military men. They are clearly jealous of the success of the hunter and annoyed he is being so well praised. You feel this is important because you feel the guards may feel more annoyance with foreign influence in their city, especially as the local population is clearly more enamored with an outsider – bottom line, you think the guards will be less courteous to foreigners in their city then they might have been recently.
C: Local citizens are so impressed with the response from the temple of Baal-Khardah that local lads are talking about the potential to earn coin with other similar ideas – in short; doing more mercenary or bounty hunting work – easy work for quick coin.
D: You overhear a group of rowdies berating what you suspect is a local drunk who claims he has seen the corpse of a man near one of the entrances to the catacombs which looked like it had been feasted upon. The rowdies laugh, claiming the body must have been gnawed on by rats or dogs; but a young man defends the drunk, saying that he had seen the body with his own eyes – it looked like it had rotted a long time when he saw it, but the body couldn’t have been on the street for more than a few hours or someone would have seen it sooner. Hot debate circles about the nature of this body – most claiming it was a dead man that rats picked at; others refuse this claim saying if there was anything dead near the entrance to the catacombs then priests would have taken it long before rats could have desecrated it – the whole thing seems mysterious, but no one has any hard information one way or the other – except for the drunk and young lad who are sure they saw the body – but returning to the place shortly after sunset with further witnesses the body had disappeared.
E: General fears that the sandstorm earlier that day will cause issues with potential trade, but this is not confirmed at this time – you know only that there are issues the weather which could be problematic.
3. You do not notice anything specifically dangerous or untoward. The place is relatively rough; it’s not the sort of place you’d prefer to hang out in general, but ultimately you think it’s safe enough to continue to perform there or stay there; at least, for now...

"Actually I'm not sure you can do anything for us besides what you have already done" - Hedran nods - "Which has been much, to be honest. In healing our wounds" - he adds.
She smiles demurely ang gives Hedran a long look over the rim of her glass, pausing only to slowly savor the flavor as she sips it, watching him.
Samir glances between them and clears his throat somewhat noisily and Hedran continues.
Alia frowns in thought a bit.
”This is true, she has the gift of divining; yet her current duties will likely keep her busy until the moon descends from the sky. Still, is there not anything I can do to aid you?” she asks.
Samir glances at Alia, then looks at Hedran to see if he will say anything.
His eyes flick to Red then; a quick glance at the satchel at her side, then his eyes raise to stare into hers as he regards her for a moment.
Yet for now he says nothing, merely waiting for the others to do the talking.
If there are no further questions for her by the time I wake up tomorrow, I’ll move things forward again. Just let me know if you have any further questions and I’ll do what I can to answer them. If not, we can return to the Inn and share details beween you and Tairin, if you’d like.

Anhur |

Anhur considers the happenings with a held tongue, keeping his peace as the others speak. He had noticed that people in these lands seemed to hate him even before he spoke, and moreso if he dared part his lips, so he decided to act with wisdom and remain silent so as to avoid provoking the disdainful foreigners.
Still, his ears remain open and his eyes ever watchful and piercing. This town was already among the more dangerous of his travels, and presently he watches for danger in every shadow; ease is not with him, nor can he find rest even here.
