Kythel of Nisroch |

You can prepare both spells JJ, the APG is in our sources and I feel it part of the Pathfinder Core nowadays
@Kythel as you just rested, I think it is fine to assume you and Marigold healed the group with your remaining spells for yesterday
OK, I will add that one back then!

Kikinnin Rouradont |

Kikinnin praises Abadar when the door doesn't fly open and slam them for their foolish position within the corridor. Before the door opens, Kikinnin does as he promised, and brings protections to bear on his companions. Cast Resist Energy, Communal- Cold and Acid for 18 minutes each, and Protection from Evil, Communal for 1.8 minutes each
When he's reasonably sure his succeeded in weaving, he continues with his personal preparations. Bull's Strength and Divine Bond for 9 minutes
Level 1- Endure Elements, Grace, Hero's Defiance, Word of Resolve
Level 2- Paladin's Sacrifice
When the team has prepared themselves, every glean to teeth, Kikinnin opens the door, and strides into the next room, ready to set his God's might against the monstrosity...

Do we have open access to APG spells, or just Core? If so, I'll trade out a CLW for aspect of the falcon. Going to need all the help I can get with a bow. I'm wondering about Lead Blades too for Alakast.
Approved Source material (from waaaay back at beginning): Core + Advanced Player’s Guide + Advanced Race Guide + Bestiaries + Ultimate Magic + Ultimate Combat + Ultimate Campaign + Inner Sea Guide

Maxim Snaphånce |

As divine powers invoked and enhancements imbued Maxim takes the time to cast Heroism (80 minutes duration) on Kikinnin and JJ.
He then further augments his Bror with the benefits of the Fly spell (lasts 8 minutes)
With double barrelled pistol drawn and loaded, the gun-mage looks to the others with a nod and follows, his gait full of purpose, into the final chamber...
Heroism: +2 morale bonus on attack rolls, saves, and skill checks.
Fly:The subject gains a bonus on Fly skill checks equal to 1/2 your caster level (+4) in this case :)

_JJ Surabar |

JJ likewise makes his preparations. Alakast slung, he his the mighty bow in hand. Just before the door is opened, the lad puts an odd expression on his face as he tries to get in touch with some of the celestial power that runs through his veins.

Your bear's endurance would not stack with your bear's endurance bonus (both are +4 enhancement), so you can cast it in a different person or prepare another spell in that slot if you wish
@Marigold, feel free to add any spell to the preparations before the door goes open.
Non-hesitantly, Kikinnin opens the final door.
K18. TOMB OF THE BONE DRAGON
This room opens into a massive dome. A wide broken walkway circles about a third of the room's circumference, and a thick ice bridge extends away from the door into the center of the room. Five massive pillars, composed of gray necrotic flesh, stretch from the floor to the ceiling.
This huge chamber is the last great repository of spell weaver lore. It houses five massive Soul Pillars. The room itself has an almost spherical shape, excepting only its level floor. A dangerous ice bridge leads out to the central Soul Pillar and a solid platform.
The ice bridge is nearly 10 ft. thick, and can easily support a massive weight, but moving at full speed required a DC 15 Acrobatics (balance) check to avoid falling prone. Moving at half-speed is safe.
A small ice lattice connects to the bridge and one of the Soul Pillars. The strands fill only a small area and are easily avoided, but touching one of the strands deliberately carries the usual pain.
Dracolich Stealth: DC 23
Kikinnin (+2 stones; darkvision): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Due to room geometry, Vittriss has total cover from other character's sight
JJ (+2 urban, +2 underground, +2 jungle, +10 Abyss, +2 plane of fire): 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 2 = 7
Kikinnin: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Marigold: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
Maxim: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Kythel: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Vittriss Bale: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
It might seem the dracolich had an alarm device similar to Fetor, because he has prepared for your arrival and he is nowhere to be seen. That said, when Kikinnin shows his face behind the door, a voice booms over his head "Who are you that dare insulting my home with your unannounced presence?"
"Dwarf, you are not yet prepared for this, you do not want to face death in Karran-Kural" there is a short roar followed by words of arcane power "You better run back to your home before it is too late!"
Kikinnin: Will DC 19 vs suggestion. I will let you decide if this is a reasonable or very reasonable advice for Kikinnin, worth of a -1 or -2 penalty
You look up towards the origin of the voice. Clinging with his claws to the spherical walls of the chamber's entrance, 30' over the ground, you spot a huge dragon deprived of any kind of skin, reduced to bones. His eyes shine with a bright green fearful aura.
Will DC 23 vs Frightful Presence or become shaken 5d6 rounds (mind-affecting, fear)
Fort DC 23 vs Paralyzing Gaze or become paralyzed 2d6 rounds.

Will Save v DC 19: 1d20 + 17 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (20) + 17 + 2 - 2 = 37
Despite preparations, setting eyes upon the drac was certainly no help against its suggestive words. Still, it was enough to keep his wits, and shirk off the creature's presence of sheer power.
Fortitude Save v DC 23: 1d20 + 19 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 19 + 2 = 40
The black beard whispers over his shoulder, while looking upwards. "Ready yourselves. It's right above the doorway, about 30' up. You stay close, at least, and Abadar will lend you some backbone. I could feel its death trying to creep into my muscles, and hold me in place..."
Alright, friends- keep in mind the Paladin's Aura of Courage(Su)- Immune to Fear, Allies within 10' receive +4 morale bonus to Saves v Fear, and your Protection from Evil for an additional +2 resistance bonus to Saves...

Kythel of Nisroch |

IN TOMB OF THE BONE DRAGON
Kythel steps in and gazes up, either he will face this thing or he will fold. Better to know now than later...
Will save DC 23 - 1d20 + 9 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 9 + 2 + 4 = 16 - Shaken 5d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 5, 5, 6) = 25 -
Fortitude save DC 23 - 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 8 + 2 = 23
Despite the fear shaking his body, Kythel manages to resist the paralysis that comes with the "sight" of such a being.
He fires up at the place where Kikinnin said it was located with a spell.
Kythel Shaken Searing Light Ranged Touch 1d20 + 8 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (8) + 8 + 2 - 2 = 16 - Damage 10d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 5, 5, 1, 4, 3, 1, 5, 5) = 36.

Marigold Montajay |

Apologies for the delay; Marigold would've cast Prayer first and then Blessing of Fervor before we opened the door.
Marigold nods as her not-so-strange-anymore affliction afflicts her as the battle is joined but even that doesn't really matter - there's no place for words here. Not when engaging such a thing as the dracolich.
And speaking of engaging - as much as she disliked the idea of getting caught in another killzone corridor she also knows that this is a situation where she'll be most effective if she can stay out of the creature's jaws. She waits, tense, ready to move into the room once Kikinnin and JJ are able to do so.
______________
Marigold will Delay until after Kikinnin & JJ have had a chance to act (and hopefully move out of the corridor).

Maxim Snaphånce |

Round 1 (Blessing of Fervour: +2 bonus on attack rolls and a +2 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves.)
Maxim gives a grim nod of acknowledgement, then as Kythel steps in to engage, the gun-mage follows suite, pushing past his fellow dwarf and the youthful swordsman; (20ft Move)
DC23 Will Save (+Aura of Courage+Protection from Evil+Prayer): 1d20 + 10 + 4 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 10 + 4 + 2 + 1 = 21
DC23 Fortitude Save (+Protection from Evil & Prayer): 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 10 + 2 + 1 = 25
As he moves into the massive chamber, the gun-mage feels the oppressive evil of the risen wyrm to his very core... (Shaken for 5d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 4, 4, 1) = 14 rounds)
Following his Bror's instructions he shakily raises his pistol toward the creature and invoking his own magic;
"Bliksem!" (Cast Lighting Bolt as Standard Action)
Lighting Bolt: 8d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 1, 6, 3, 6, 3, 4) = 28 DC17 Reflex Save for Half Damage

GM Rutseg |

Placing eye in the Vittriss Bale, Kikinnin decides it is no time to follow ill intended advice. He holds himself at the door.
Kythel and Maxim make it into the room to face the dracolich. The frightful presence of the dragon pay its toll, but they hold themselves and continue their assault.
Kythel rises his hand and from the palm it springs a ray of searing light that brightly strikes on the huge dead dragon.
CL vs SR: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
Regretfully, it is only to discover the dracolich has an armor against magic.
Maxim's lighting bolt erupts from his gun. Unfortunately he discovers to late that in addition to his armor against magic, the dracolich is also immune to electrical attacks!!!
"So you came to fight? Fight then" the dracolich jumps from the walls and flies, while his bony wings do not flap, his flight apparently supernatural "I do enjoy seeing your fear. I will enjoy even more seeing your bones melting to a bubbling puddle"
Performing a flying maneuver to descend towards you facing the corridor, the dracolich opens his jaws and when it is about 10 feet high he growls and a breath of powerful acid baths you all!
Acid damage (remember you have resist 20): 12d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 1, 5, 6, 4, 2, 4, 6, 2, 3, 4) = 46
Ref DC 23 for half. There is something more, I have preserved here this metabreath feat: Tempest Breath (D&D Draconomicon p. 74)
The acid erupts like a tempest pushing you back. The small Marigold is specially affected by the force of the wind, while arrows and bolts are deflected back while the powerful winds last.
During this round (wind effect rules):
Medium creatures: Strength DC 10 to approach the dracolich, or Fly DC 20 if flying.
Small creatures: Strength DC 15 or prone and pushed back 1d4 ⇒ 2 x10 feet suffering Non lethal damage: 2d4 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5
Range attacks: Impossible
With now the dracolich visible both JJ and Marigold understand the shaking fear of Kythel and Maxim.
Will DC 23 vs Frightful Presence or become shaken 5d6 rounds (mind-affecting, fear)
Fort DC 23 vs Paralyzing Gaze or become paralyzed 2d6 rounds.

Remember what you know about dracoliches, both defensive abilities of liches and green dragons like immunity to electricity, cold and acid, or DR vs non magic and bludgeoning weapons

Maxim Snaphånce |

Round 2 (Blessing of Fervour: 2 bonus on attack rolls and a +2 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves.)
Maxim has mere moments to curse his choice of spell before he's bathed in the wyrm's acid breath...
DC23 Reflex Save: 1d20 + 13 + 2 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 13 + 2 + 1 + 2 = 33 (Evasion class ability means 0 damage taken upon successful save)
However the gun-mage deftly avoids all corrosive damage!
Keeping his pistol trained on the creature he squints and once again calls upon his magics;
"Gloeiend Straal!" (Gnome: Scorching Ray!)
... and two burning rays of arcane flame blast forth from his hand-gunne (Defensively Cast Scorching Ray - Standard Action & DC19 Concentration check: 1d20 + 8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 8 + 4 + 1 = 22
Caster Level Check (to overcome SR): 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 8 + 2 = 23
Ranged Touch: Scorching Ray Spell: 1d20 + 11 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 11 + 1 + 2 = 26
Fire Damage: Scorching Ray: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 2, 6) = 15
Ranged Touch: Scorching Ray Spell: 1d20 + 11 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 11 + 1 + 2 = 22
Fire Damage: Scorching Ray: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 3, 3) = 14
@GMR: Believe that only normal and seige weapon ranged attacks are neutralised by the wind effect. Way I'm reading it Maxim's spells should be unaffected but should he fire bullets they will be...
He then recovers his Staff of Fire from his belt (Move Action)

Kythel of Nisroch |

Round 2 (Blessing of Fervour: +2 bonus on attack rolls and a +2 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves.)
Reflex Save DC 23 1d20 + 8 + 2 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 8 + 2 + 2 - 2 = 17 - The shakes keep Kythel's reflexes dull as the acidic damage washes over him. Someone screams in agony, the sound so loud in his ears, the he realizes it is him screaming.
He blinks back the pain and heads to the wall and begins climbing up. Double move to get to and climb the wall.
I want to get Kythel to the wall to use his spider climb ability to (a) get out of the area effect of a second shot of that breath weapon and (b) get the hell out the way for anyone else that needs to exit into the room to fight.

Marigold's Round 1
Reflex vs. Breath (DC 23; BoF, Prayer, Prot. Evil): 1d20 + 9 + 2 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 9 + 2 + 1 + 2 = 33

Fort vs. Paralyzing Gaze (DC 23; Prayer, Prot. Evil): 1d20 + 13 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 13 + 1 + 2 = 20
Rounds?: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 3) = 9
Though Marigold manages to dodge some of the acidic blast the sheer force of it knocks her off her feet, sending her skidding back down the corridor. As she comes to rest she shakily raises her head, her eyes settling on their foe for the first time.
And she feels no fear.
Yet there's more to the dracolich than its frightful presence and she's not prepared for the sudden seizing of her limbs as she briefly locks eyes with the creature!
______________
Okay so...successful Reflex save and the Resist Acid effect means Marigold only takes 3 damage from the breath if I've got it right. But she's now prone *and* paralyzed for the next many rounds :\

_JJ Surabar |

Reflex Save v DC 23: 1d20 + 13 + 2 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 13 + 2 + 2 + 1 = 21
Kikinnin misjudges the doorway, and finds no way to avoid the full blast of acid he knew was inevitable. He's only glad Abadar gave them a little relief from the full pain of it.
He wasn't expecting a thing of bones to be able to blast them with winds.
Turning back to look over his shoulder, Kikinnin barks to all. "The little miss is down, and her limbs are touched with rigor!! I can either fly at the drac, or help miss Marigold..." He sees something behind Kythel's eyes which suggests the Pharasman has intentions, so the black beard charges the dracolich.
Fly Check v DC 20: 1d20 - 5 + 2 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (20) - 5 + 2 + 4 + 1 = 22
With Maxim's and Marigold's magics to not only allow him off the ground, to also to maneuver better than he otherwise would, given his armor, Kikinnin manages to beat back the buffeting winds emanating from the drac's maw.
Eldgammel swings 'round, and introduces itself, only after Kikinnin utters a curse in the dracolich's name. Swift Action- Smite Evil(Bale)

GM Rutseg |

Maxim skillfully evades the dragon breath and counter attacks with magical fire. The rays easily strike the dragon, but he fails to pierce the creature's magic resistance.
Kythel takes the blunt of the acid, but fortunately Kikinnin's resistance protects him from the worst of it. The man quickly resolves to climb through the spherical walls, which he easily accomplishes thanks to his aracnida cloak. The dragon avoids trying to snap at him with his bite even if he could, reserving his attack of opportunity for the dwarf coming to him.
Marigold protects herself from the breath, only feeling a small pain, but the tempest winds that come with the breath push her back hitting herself with the walls. When she tries to recover she gets frozen in place, taken by the unnatural gaze of the dracolich.
Note you can still perform any purely mental action, like most spell-like and supernatural abilities that do not require targeting
JJ feels both Abadar's and Pharasma's protection as he surmounts the fear and paralysis and manages to protect himself from the acid. A small portion of the acid damage is transferred to Kythel. His arrow though goes wide, pushed back by the powerful winds of the breath before they calm down.
Only 1 attack when moving
Kikinnin is taken by surprise by the breath, which he would have suffered full if not for Abadar's resistance. The dwarf then takes flight, mystically pushing against the winds on his charge.
AoO bite: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (6) + 23 = 29
The dracolich tries to reach him in his advance, but Marigold's fervent blessing protects the dwarf. He swings powerfully at the undead dragon, but a magical aura blocks the axe before it can bite the bones.
"Clam up! You came, and you soon will be asking for mercy as the Cagewrights did before you!" Vittriss Bale smiles mischievously "I sense dragon blood among you... is it you dwarf?" the dracolich eyes seem to shine with brighter light "All the best. You will do as a secondary body if the needs come" then, he fiercely attacks on Kikinnin.

Maxim Snaphånce |

Round 3 (Blessing of Fervour: 2 bonus on attack rolls and a +2 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves.)
Maxim scowls as his magicks are once again stymied by the undead wyrm.
He bellows in anger and shock as the creature rag-dolls his Bror;
"Hell's Teeth! Scour this thing's bones!"
He raises his pistol and squints as he calls upon his innate magicks... (Swift Action - Imbue Pistol with Flaming Burst quality for 3 minutes by sacrificing Lighting Bolt spell.... causing a barrel to glow in fiery brilliance.
The gun-mage pulls the trigger (Standard Action: Ranged Touch vs Dracolich);
Deadly Aim Ranged Touch: +1 Flaming Burst Pistol: 1d20 + 10 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 10 + 1 + 2 = 22
Pistol Damage: 1d8 + 4 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 12
Fire Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Will waive Move Action as he'll hold position (for now)

Kikinnin performs a dive maneuver under the dracolich's corpse, to appear in his back, while Vittriss tries to find him with his bite.
Bite-PA: 1d20 + 23 - 4 ⇒ (8) + 23 - 4 = 27
B/S/P/magical damage+PA: 3d8 + 15 + 12 ⇒ (4, 5, 8) + 15 + 12 = 44
The dwarf flights to the side eluding the jaws and profits the movement to deliver a deadly strike with his axe on the dracolich's neck! You could tell a spirit, likely Pocca's Rouradont, or perhaps Abadar's himself goes with the axe while the undead dragon growls in pain as his head is nearly severed by the bold movement of the black dwarf!
Profiting the chance to descend without being attacked, Kythel runs towards Marigold and frees her from the dracolich's freezing.
The halfling darts forward, placing eyes again in Vittriss glowing eyes.
Fort DC 23 vs paralyzing gaze, as you will only be immune once you succeed once in the check
JJ then launches a barrage of arrows over the dracolich, but most of them just find the few scales still protecting the bone. One of them though strikes true on the dracolich's head, although the bone nature of the creature means it receive less damage from arrows. DR 5/bludgeoning (Kikinnin bypassed it through smite evil)
The fire of the arrow burns the creature normally.
Enhancing his bullets with flaming energy, Maxim delivers a mixture of powder and fire. The huge size of the dragon makes it an easy target to touch, and the bullet blunts easily cracking some of the bones.
Feeling now greatly menaced by the holy dwarf, the dracolich completely focus on his enemy fighting in a kill or die final effort!

The dracolich is this time more precise and less powerful, hitting four times on Kikinnin, and giving all his hopes on paralyzing the nasty dwarf.
Cold damage is not included due to resistance, but 4 times Fort DC 23 against paralysis

Kythel: 102/129 hp, magic circle against evil 100 min, shaken r25
Round 3: JJ, Kikinnin, Marigold, Round 4: Maxim, Kythel, Vittriss Bale
The shaken condition was badly attributed to Kikinnin instead of Maxim in the status. It has been corrected.

Kythel of Nisroch |

Round 4
Kythel moves back into the room, whatever strategy he had negated by the actions of the enemy, a not uncommon occurrence, and he grabs at the Rod at his belt. Using it, his hands shaking so much he can hardly hold the damned thing, he casts a spell to reinforce the life essence of Kikinnin. "Pharasma, aid my ally against this abomination".
Lesser Reach Cure Serious Wounds - 3d8 + 10 ⇒ (7, 7, 2) + 10 = 26 + 50% = 39 HP.

Kikinnin resists the black touch of the dracolich, imagining what Marigold must have experienced for her muscles to have seized up. He only worries that seizing up, right here, right now, is certain death.
"Praise Abadar, I'm still kicking, Bale. I'll also praise Pharasma, for my companion giving me a chance to finish the job I started on you. You have any last words for your executioners?"
The bloody black beard heals himself further, figuring his next pass will incur a tail swipe or a set of teeth. His luck is tearing thin under the dracolich's wings. Swift Action- Lay on Hands
Lay on Hands, Greater Mercy: 7d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 4, 1, 6, 6, 6) = 30

Marigold's Round 3
Fort (DC 23; Prayer, Prot. Evil): 1d20 + 13 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 13 + 1 + 2 = 29
This time, when Marigold locks eyes with the dracolich - even for just the briefest of moments since he seems to be focused on Kikinnin - she manages to resist the strange, paralyzing nature of his gaze.
She continues forward, darting into the room and ducking to the left, trying to keep some space between herself and the others. Though she knows that piercing Vittriss' magical resistances will be no easy feat, she has to try. The little halfing focuses and attempts to conjure a burst of holy power to smite the dracolich!
CL vs. SR (Spell Penetration): 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 13 + 2 = 18
But it's not enough.

Apologies GMR - forgot about Maxim's Shaken condition, should have remembered :S
Round 4 Buffs/Cond: Blessing of Fervor (+2 bonus on attack rolls and a +2 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves.) Shaken (–2 penalty on attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks.)
Maxim reloads his pistol, mindful of the glowing hot barrel; (Reload w/ Alchemical Cartridge - Move Action - Provokes AoO), then raises the weapon once again imbuing it further with arcane energy (Swift Action - Arcane Strike).
Steadying his shaking hand and swallowing his fear the gun-mage once again fires upon the risen-wyrm (Standard Action: Ranged Touch vs Dracolich)...
Deadly Aim Ranged Touch: +1 Flaming Burst Pistol: 1d20 + 10 + 1 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (1) + 10 + 1 + 2 - 2 = 12 Misfire! Pistol now has Broken condition...
... but the pistol fails to operate, perhaps damaged from the creature's corrosive breath!
Swearing under his beard, Maxim eyes the weapon with concern;
"God's be darned! Ain't got time fir this!"

Ray (touch): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
From Kythel's rod springs a crackling ray of healing positive energy that strikes Kikinnin removing many of his bad wounds.
JJ shots many arrows but the dragon's spells block all of them before they can hit him.
Marigold's holy power is received as well by Vittriss spell resistance, dispelling the heavenly, or perhaps occipitous, magic.
Seeing his gun effective, Maxim reloads the tool with quick powder and performs another arcane shot. The gun does not respond though, indeed damaged by the breath's acid.
Kikinnin continues his flight around the dragon trying to confuse the creature that tries to stop him once and for all.
Bite: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (7) + 23 = 30
B/S/P/magical damage: 3d8 + 15 ⇒ (6, 6, 7) + 15 = 34
But failing, the dwarf finds another entry to the dracolich's neck, and there he chops mightily with his axe. Focusing in the already damaged point, this time the central vertebrae of the neck completely succumbs under pressure and Kikinnin finally decapitates the dracolich.
Deprived of its head, Vittriss Bale is destroyed and his bones fall broken apart in a myriad of pieces, many piling on the ground while some falling at the pit where the Soul Pillars lay.
The eyes of the dracolich fade but not without a final bright light that calls for revenge.
Combat is over!
Vittriss: 285 damage, dead
Party buffs: endure elements 24 h, fire protection (120) 20 min, resist energy cold & acid (20) 18 min, protection against evil r17, prayer r10, blessing of fervor r11

Kythel: 102/129 hp, magic circle against evil 100 min, shaken r25
With the dracolich guardian removed, the path to the Soul Pillars remains clear. A feeling of victory and relieve fills you as the fearful presence is rooted.
Congrats you are level 13!

"O-oh goodness, it's over? That was b-brilliant, everyone," Marigold gasps as bones begin raining down from above. "I'm s-s-sorry I wasn't m-more help, though," she sighs. That should put everyone back to full, or close to it.
"D-don't liches have ph-ph-phylacteries, though? Sh-should we look for h-his?"

Kikinnin Rouradont |

Kikinnin welcomes the healing coming from both Kythel and Marigold. He tries a couple of times to hover in mid-air, but finds himself ill-equipped to do so, so lands to receive the healing magics.
"So, we find the phylactery, and the beast can't come back? I'm all for that. Let's see what we can find." With what little time remains of Maxim's gift of flight, Kikinnin takes big, slow arcs of flying to explore the entirety of the Tomb of the Bone Dragon. Take 20 Perception- 21.
His lazy circles keep well clear of the Pillars, as he shoots a Look at them, to confirm what he felt about the other pair o' Pillars. Detect Evil
When he's sure he's searched the Tomb well enough, he returns to the others, looking at the Pillars again.
"Do you suppose Abradius visited these here, or kept himself to the smaller ones? Do the bigger ones here act the same as the small?" Kikinnin looks to Maxim, mouthpiece of the malign magics.

_JJ Surabar |

"Would the phylactery be on him? Or ... I guess he is still a dragon... in his hoarde?"
At the thought of a dragon hoard the lads eyes light up.
"That was awesome Kikinnin! Defeating an undead dragon single handed!"
His eyes however look around for signs of the dragon treasure, or other trinket that may be on it.

Kikinnin Rouradont |

"Fortunately, I wasn't alone in that fight, JJ." Looking down on the bones of Bale, Kikinnin does pause to think back to moments ago. "That could have been bad, I won't lie. A creation like that, it's a life stealer. I'm only grateful that it was contained to Carin Curl. If it was flying along a countryside, the death toll would make the hardest heart weep."

GM Rutseg |

While Kikinnin is healed by Marigold and Kythel, JJ looks down all the way to the ground of the spherical hall. And there, a dragon hoard he finds.
Piles and piles of golden coins, diamonds, platinum rings, shiny emeralds and other jewels. Profiting Kikinnin flight and both JJ and Kythel's cloaks of arachnida, the group is able to quickly descend to the hoard for a closer look.
With some time and effort the group is able to count...
Loot:
5361 golden pieces
1739 platinum pieces
5 small diamonds worth 925 gp each (useful as spell components)
5 large diamonds worth 1500 gp each (useful as spell components)
3 platinum rings set with diamonds worth 1750 gp each
A platinum scepter set with emeralds worth 5000 gp
A platinum crown set with emeralds matching the scepter worth 7000 gp
A small jewel-inlaid silver box worth 2500 gp
An perfectly polished agate worth 20000 gp (in fact a luckstone)
A belt with a golden buckle that depicts a bear’s head (in fact a belt of mighty constitution +2)
A polished magical pearl (a pearl of power III)
A spherical blue magical stone (an incandescent blue sphere ioun stone)
Your keen eye and magical training makes you belief the jewel-inlaid silver box is indeed the dracolich phylactery.
Vittriss Bale spirit must have retreated here. If brought within 90 feet of a dead dragon corpse, he could take possession of that body.
If the phylactery is destroyed or rendered nonmagic, Vittris Bale will be forever destroyed.
In addition you find what seems a couple of enchanted cold iron staff heads. JJ thinks they were once part of Alakast and could be attached to it again by an specialist crafter to improve the weapon enhancement. This crafting will cost 3000 gp and will make it a +2 weapon able to project light at will
Alakast heads had before runes of mighty power that allowed Surabar Spellmason to store there his most powerful magic spells, making it a spell storing weapon, holding one spell in each head.
But those runes seem lost nowadays.
The heads were specially crafted for Surabar Spellmason by the Jzadirune gnomes. What made the staff so powerful was that the heads were made in such a way they could share enhancements, which means, any enhancement made on the staff will provide the enhancement to both heads at the same time, effectively reducing greatly the cost of magically improving the weapon.
Observing the pillars, Maxim thinks he could use them using the previous ritual. That said, they seem more powerful, and irradiate a more intense evil aura, but they could deliver full phrases and require a single minute of concentration.
Once read and deciphered, Fetor's notes will provide a +6 to all rolls with the pillars

Kythel of Nisroch |

"This is certainly a Kings Ransom of valuable but do we have the ability to get it all out of here considering what we must face to do so? A long swim through dark waters I mean.
We cannot leave until tomorrow in any case as I will need to rest and re memorize spells that allow us all to breathe water..."

_JJ Surabar |

"That will give me time to look over these notes..[/]" says JJ eyeing up the ends of Alakast. "[b]That agate looks real pretty.." he says wistfully.
Looking at the dragons body the lad wonders "This is the second lich we have met isn't it? The undead seem to get more powerful by the hour."

Maxim Snaphånce |

Maxim nods at the words with a hard smile;
"Was well won, and even better fought."
He casts his eye over the dracolich's cache of treasure.
"What we got here... Coin. Gems... Ah-huh a Luckstone... Handy..."
Holding the enchanted agate he continues the search;
DC25 Knowledge (Arcana): 1d20 + 16 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 16 + 1 = 25
DC20 Knowledge (Jzadirune): 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 10 + 1 = 16
Then lifts up a jewel-inlaid silver box with a grim set jaw;
"Reckon this is that fell creature's phylactery. Ware. We need to destroy it... Rid any chance o' it raisin' another wyrm corpse."

_JJ Surabar |

"Kikinnin, you think your axe could do to that box what he did to its body?" asks JJ with a grim smile on his face.

Kythel of Nisroch |

"Cauldron is a dormant volcano else that would be a good place to dump the thing ensuring its destruction no? Would an axe destroy such a thing Maxim?"

Marigold Montajay |

Kn. History (DC 20): 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (13) + 16 = 29
"Oh, JJ? D-did you know that Alakast's h-heads once h-held runes of mighty p-power? They allowed S-Surabar to store p-powerful magic spells, one in each h-head."
Marigold frowns.
"B-but it looks like the runes are g-gone, now. That's a sh-shame. I remember r-reading that the h-heads were specially c-crafted b-by the gnomes of Jzadirune. What m-made the staff so p-powerful was that the heads were m-made in such a way they could share enhancements! Any enhancement m-made on the st-staff provides the enhancement to b-both heads at the same t-time. That m-made it cheaper to augment."
As talk turns to destroying the discovered phylactery, Marigold nods enthusiastically. "Y-yes! We have to d-destroy it as s-soon as we c-can! M-maybe if Kikinnin's axe won't w-work, Alakast w-will!"

Kikinnin Rouradont |

Kikinnin looks the silver box over, a mixture of curiosity and dread. "There's still power thrumming in Eldgammel, to be sure. I'll gladly give it a whack."
The black beard remembers the work done on the dwarf containers, so hopes the little silver box is an easier task.
Sunder Silver Box: 1d20 + 16 + 3 + 2 + 5 + 1 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 16 + 3 + 2 + 5 + 1 + 2 + 1 = 35

To Hit = CMB +16, Divine Bond(+1, +2 Holy), Bull's Strength(+2), Smite(+5), Prayer(+1), Heroism(+2), Beast Master(+1 Campaign)

_JJ Surabar |

"Wow!" says JJ, stepping back to eye up Alakast with even more awe.
"I guess that makes sense. Surabar was a mighty wizard after all, he'd have wanted a weapon that would help with that. I hope we might find those runes one day.."
He looks at the pillars, a thought obvious in his mind.

GM Rutseg |

Maxim is able to identify the philactery. The read magic spell allows him to unveil hidden runes that retell the story of Vittriss Bale, a green dragon hunted and killed for the dreamweaver experiments. Through an experimental ritual of death and cold, they were able to create the first dracolich of Golarion. Ever since the undead dragon remained here, trapped as a guardian to the Soul Pillars. They were so attentive to detail that they even provided him with this hoard.
Following others suggestion Kikinnin and JJ smash ensemble the silvery box. As Alakast strikes, the holy weapon dispels the magical protections of the device, that sundered by the mighty Eldgammel empowered by Abadar and Pocca's spirit, shatters in hundreds of pieces, ruining the box, but destroying Vittriss Bale forever.
You hear a dragon roar quickly fading in the distance as the spherical room returns to quietness.
And in front of you, the Soul Pillars.

Kythel of Nisroch |

Kythel breathes a prayer to Pharasma as the Dragons soul is sent to its eternal rest, even one not trained by the formal Church knows that the Goddess frowns upon the existence of the Undead, "That was easier than I thought it would be".
As he hangs the blue stone aloft above his head, Kythel feels the power within as it fills him with a sense of peace and perspective.
He turns to Maxim to watch whether he will once again make contact with the Soul Pillar.

Marigold Montajay |

"Wh-whew...at least th-that's over with," Marigold sighs with relief as the phylactery is shattered and Vittriss Bale staying dead for good is assured. "Um...s-so these S-Soul P-Pillars are supposed to offer m-more detailed answers, r-right? B-but it looked s-so hard for M-Maxim to use the other ones we f-found...should we even r-risk it h-here? Is it w-worth it?"

_JJ Surabar |

"Is there anything we really... need to know?" asks JJ.
"Obviously stuff about Carceri and the cagewrights might be good to know... but these look very old, and very dangerous.."

Maxim Snaphånce |

Maxim eyes the shards of the phylactery with a solemn expression furrowed brow;
"The runes showed that Vale was hunted and turned into that risen wyrm. As a green drake he was likely wicked, but them basterds that turned him wickeder still... Their reckonin' will come."
At the mention of his name, he refocusses;
"Aye. Reckon Ah'm ready to give them Pillars another go. What we askin' this time? These 'uns are likely more chatty, so we can be specific in our re-quests..."

_JJ Surabar |

"Well.... who is the Red Duke? Or maybe more precisely, "'Who would I recognise the Red Duke as?' might be a good start." suggests JJ.
"Where can we find Alakasts runes?" he adds "But that is a very low priority."
"What is the Cage Wrights real objective? might also provide some clarity at last."

Got me doubting myself lol - who is this Red Duke? Did I miss something?
