That's kind of a tough one. Dacka dacka's goal is easy: proving to his fellow dwarves that he is powerful enough to demand respect. His disadvantages are pride and power-hungry, so I'd say his fears were the opposite: being humiliated and being forgotten/ignored.

I'm having problems with how my smartphone is working with the board here. I may have to enter my character as one rather long message in this thread. Also, I can't "see" other people's character information that has been entered as part of their alias. Hopefully I'll get a reply in the website forum that will help me get this solved. That's the basic crunch. Entering all this with a stylus on a smartphone is a pain. I'll skip the spells, the equipment and the familiar stats for now and get to more of the fluffy character stuff.
Mundarion ir'Siannodel hails from the country of Cyre on the continent of Khorvairen on the world of Eberron. He is a member of an Elven family that had been living in a forested part of the area that eventually became Core for the better part of two and a half millenia. Through time their culture slowly changed, rendering them more Coran than traditional Elven in outlook. Several elven generations ago one of Mundarion ' s ancestors was ennobled for service to the Coran crown gain in the area that the family had traditionally lived in as part of his demesne. It was not a particularly large or wealthy demesne, but it did guarantee that the area the family thought of as "theirs" would always be under their control. It also let them add the prefix ir' to the family name indicating nobility.
Mundarion is the fourth oldest of 5 children. He has two older brothers, an older sister and a younger sister. His father and eldest brother were killed fighting in the conflict that became known as the Last War. The second oldest brother had inherited and was running the family estate, serving the war effort in an important non combat role (overseeing production and distribution of healing kits and supplies. Mundarion ' s older sister had married a member of another elven noble family and given birth to a baby boy. Mundarion's youngest sister was still living at home, too young yet at the tender age of 75 to be allowed out on her own. Mundarion's mother had taken the deaths of her husband and first born son exceptionally hard and had withdrawn to live a life of seclusion on a small corner of the estate.
Mundarion entered the Royal Coran Army when he was 115 years old. The Last War had been raging for 70 years and there was no end to the conflict in sight. Given Mundarion's talents and abilities as an elf as well as his initial training as a rogue Mundarion was a natural for scouting assignments. Adding further training as a wizard specializing in divination and bonding an owl as a familiar helped him to become even better in that role. He rose slowly through the ranks largely because he was so good at what he did those he worked for didn't want to lose him to reassignment. After 23 years of service Mundarion transferred in to the elite Long Range Raiding Corps as a Captain. From then on he spent most of his time far behind enemy lines causing hate and discontent.
Mundarion was eventually promoted to major and became executive officer of one of the companies in the Corps. It was after Mundarion had been serving in the army for 30 years that disaster struck. The entire nation of Cyre was wiped out in a magical calamity that turned the area into a giant wasteland where the very rules of nature had changed. Mundarion and his company were initially spared when that happened because they were out on assignment. It was when they returned to what had been their home that they found things had almost literally gone to hell. Men who had been rock solid in battle their entire adult lives were reduced to tears. Some of them went mad. Others were killed by the new monstrous denizens and other unnatural hazards that had sprung up in the one area they had thought was "safe".
Mundarion struggled to hang on to his sanity and tried to maintain some form of discipline in his rapidly disintegrating unit. Then the visions started, becoming more powerful and frequent through time when Mundarion was trying to meditate. Seek out the place of power and Karavakos.
When Mundarion could eventually take it no more he ordered the few of his men that remained to do their best to make it to the far boundary of Cyre. The nation on the other side was one that Cyre had been allied with. Hopefully the men would eventually leave the area of effect of whatever had destroyed their land. Mundarion could not go with them. He had been compromised somehow and could not lead them effectively anymore.
Mundarion made his way as best he could with only his familiar for company to a shattered House Cannot workshop where the visions had shown him a damaged portal that sometimes functioned. Catching the portal at just the right time Mundarion went through it. And found himself in Sigil.
That was three weeks ago. Mundarion has been trying to figure out what happened to Cyre, what's going on in Sigil, and prepare for the journey the continuing visions are showing him that he will have to take.
Mundarion was horrified by what had happened to his homeland. He also feels guilty about having to leave his men. Mundarion is not at all happy with whoever this Karavakos is and their initial meeting at least is going to be interesting.
Other characters in Sigil might meet Mundarion as he's making the rounds using diplomacy and sense motive to find out information about Karavakos. Thus they might run across one another as they're trying to find the same information. Mundarion is also occasionally using Sleight of hand as a performance skill in order to make a little money on the side and meet people. One of the other characters might have caught one of his performances.

Ok, either something screwball is going on or there's something simple I'm missing entirely. I logged on with a real computer at the library and I still can't alter the information for my various aliases the way I want to. At any rate, at least I can now type on a real keyboard and not have to fight the smartphone "correcting" my spelling for the time being. Anybody who had reasonable knowledge of Khorvaire would be able to recognize it as such and be able to read Mundarion's rank of Major off his insignia. People who were not familiar with Khorvaire might still figure out it's some sort of uniform because it does bear obvious (if somewhat "subdued") insignia, even if they don't know what the insignia mean.

physical description:
Mundarion is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 106 lbs. He has blonde hair, green eyes and is 145 years old. He normally wears his hair relatively short, only down to his shoulders and tied in back with a brown leather thong.
His explorer's outfit (Royal Cyran Army battle fatigues) consists of sturdy dark brown leather boots, leather breeches of a lighter shade of brown, a brown belt, a grey shirt, jacket and cloak. It also includes a grey leather hat with a wide brim. Holes have been punched through part of the brim so Mundarion's ears can stick through it. Mundarion normally wears his mithral shirt under his jacket so it would not normally be visible.
Mundarion wears his cold iron longsword in a crossdraw scabbard on his left hand side and his darkwood club on his right hand side. His mithral dagger is on a sheath that is stuck through the front of his belt and set up for a right hand draw. The dagger's hilt has been wrapped in leather so that with the blade in its sheath it is not obvious that it is made of mithral. He normally carries his longbow over his right shoulder next to his quiver. He wears his spell component puch on his right hand side behind the club. He carries the wand of magic missiles concealed up his left sleeve and the pearl of power in a jacket pocket that is buttoned shut. His money is distributed among various different pockets in his jacket and his breeches. His backpack completes the ensemble when he is carrying it.
Mundarion carries his spell book in a specially tailored pocket inside the back of his shirt that can only be accessed when he takes the shirt off. Given that he wears his mithral shirt over his grey shirt and his jacket and cloak over those items it would be almost impossible to tell he's carrying something that way. In general Mundarion's gear is well maintained and clean, as one might expect of somebody who can prepare mending and prestidigitation cantrips when he wants to.
Nightwing will normally ride on Mundarion's left shoulder and sometimes on Mundarion's hat. Nightwing occasionally flies off to perform various errands for Mundarion as well as hunting critters only an owl would enjoy. Part of Mundarion's trail rations include beef jerky, which MUndarion will share with Nightwing. But Nightwing normally prefers his meals freshly caught. Nightwing's plumage is in various different shades of grey, somewhat lighter on his stomach and around his eyes and darker elsewhere. Nightwing has a 24 inch wingspan, is 10 inches tall and weighs in at half a pound.

It's not clear from the stat block in the bestiary but it looks like an owl of the sort used as a familiar has 1 rank in fly. It is also not clear how much this familiar would weigh. After doing a google search I decided that a screech owl would be a reasonably close real world equivalent and took the size and weight figures for Nightwing off of that.
With a STR of 6 and tiny size Nightwing should have a light load maximum weight of 10 pounds.
Mundarion's grappling hook weighs 4 lbs and 50 feet of silk rope weighs 5 pounds for a total of 9 pounds. Thus for obstacles less than or equal to 50 feet tall or wide Mundarion should be able to have Nightwing place the grappling hook where it would work well.

Mundarion: Wow, that is a lot to write out on a smartphone! I like the idea of the Mourning creating a portal to Sigil, possibly hinting that its cause is somewhere outside of the Eberron universe, and possibly someone/something you could encounter later in the campaign. It looks like a strong submission.

@Oceanshieldwolf, I'm not acquainted with the Direlock class. Can they cast arcane spells?
The Direlock does cast spells, but only up to fourth level (a la the Ranger).

Oops. One last tweak. Add "Repair Light Damage" to the list of first level spells that Mundarion has in his spellbook. That will cost an extra 35 gold pieces and take up one more page. I seriously doubt that he will need that spell in this campaign, but his background is such that being able to prepare and cast that spell would have been a mandatory requirement for him.

Well, I have a wand of Mage armour and I need a friendly Mage to cast on me. If you've got that spell on your spell lists then you can cast it, otherwise I think only Mundarion can.

To hopefully clarify, in order to cast a spell from a wand a character needs to have the spell on his class spell list. Whether or not the character is actually high enough in level to be able to learn/prepare/cast the spell on his own is irrelevant. One of the dodges out there that has been quite common is to equip 1st through 3rd level Rangers with wands of cure light wounds. They can use the wands just fine even though they can't cast the spell until they hit 4th level. And of course, one could also have one's character make use magic device one of their trained skills.
Mundarion would have no problem using somebody else's wand to cast spells on them. The biggest problem would be that mage armor only lasts for 1 hour per level. As a buff before a fight that we know we're going to be getting into shortly it makes perfect sense. Trying to maintain it for the entire day just because is going to burn the wand up pretty quickly. Trying to get buffed in the middle of a fight after we've been jumped could present a minor tactical problem. Especially if Mundarion is on point and the other character is more towards the middle of the party.

Currently the backstory i'm working with is De'arv'ki came from a nomadic tribe of catfolk (not sure where from, my preferred setting is dragonlance, so i don't know that locations very well) who committed a crime for which she was expelled from the tribe. she gradually made here way to a larger, oriental town and became a ninja (since they are in essence a rogue archetype). because of this, she has a very withdrawn, bitter selfserving rogue character, with the classical feline contempt for all others. she speaks with a rasping, whispering voice because of her throat having being slit by a more capable mark she tried to rob at one point. she has trust issues because of the eviction from her tribe, which leads her to be very reserved in groups. thats about how far the backstory and personality has been written up

Being young and impulsive, Midioto has the personality of an energetic youth, constantly dashing here and there. When this is augmented by his mindly powers it can be seen as taken to the extreme where Midiotoziggeroto would dash down whole blocks in the blink of an eye, just to get to the other side and see what it looks like from the way he came from.
While most Elans learn to hide their non human origins and to blend in with society, that is a skill that has thus far eluded Midioto and it is obvious that he is an Elan to those who know about such things.
Lithe and light on his feet, Midiotoziggeroto is the embodyment of movement.
Physical Description
The young elan has long ashen hair and a golden complexion that is so obviously infused with psionic energy as to leave no doubt to his origins. Yet even then, his face has that distinct trace of gnomish heritage that you cant help but wonder...
He is seen carying little and wearing rather normal wear for a human of his age, light brown, flowing robes, a belt around the waist and well worn sandals on his feet.
History and Backstory
What Midioto was before he became an Elan and why he was chosen are not known, even to himself. That was 15 years ago and what is known is that the end result was a hyper, intelligent, and curious creature intent on exploring this amazing new world.
Goals and Reasons for Adventuring
Midiotoziggeroto wants to explore the world. He wants to meet new people, see new races and set foot on places never before seen. In his heart he is an explorer and any chance to see new places or enjoy new experiences greatly appeals to him.
Future Plans
At Lvl 5, he will gain access to time hop. A power that will let him travel forward in time and move faster through time itself.
If i cannot think of a feat to chose at any level i will probably just take the psionic talent feat. MOAR PP!!
Greatest Fear
Midiotoziggerotos greatest fear is losing the ability to explore and gain new experiences such as being imprisioned in a dungeon (a trait shared by many of us, and we are going to a prison to boot!)
He also fears something known as the bleaching by the gnomes, the loss of interest in life itself.
Uncrossable Line
Midiotoziggeroto does not want to betray his friends but the one thing he will not do is imprison someone or take away their freedom (tying them up and handing them to the local guard is ok but locking them up himself is not).
Traits, Drawbacks and Feats
Traits: Vain, Naive.
Midiotoziggeroto is young, impulsive and ver prision ty sure of himself. He is confident in who he is and has yet to learn that not everyone is as trustworthy as he first believes them to be.

Feats: Fast Step, Psionic Talent and Speed of thought feats.
Speed of thought and fast step are reflected in his desire to move everywhere and be everywhere.
Psionic talent represents his powerful psionic abilities.
Despite his high intelligence and respectable amount of skill points, he has few knowledge skills, since he is too young to know much. Instead, as he levels he will gain more, representimg him learning about the world. He also has a scary fast movement speed and quite significant power pool. This leaves him with plenty of options to explore and rather large potential psionicly wise.
This is for the Psion Nomad. I just cant decide between him aand the wild wilder so i will probably get both up :p
if i can only get 1 up or cannot get the wilder finished then consider this the default one :)
