Yessai seems rather despondent to find Gurrak gone. She screws up her face in thought in response to Mundarion's query.
"Something simple. A shortbow?"
Yessai is only proficient in simple weapons and one melee weapon of her choice...

Mundarion

Mundarion looks around in the pile to get Yessai a shortbow, quiver and 40 arrows. After Mundarion hands them up to Yessai he climbs back out of the pit with the stuff he got for himself.
Taking 10 on his Climb Check Mundarion easily climbs out of the pit.

Yessai thanks Mundarion tests out her bow and string with some "dry fires"/no ammunition. She frowns, remembering the ettin.
"Much as I dislike having foes at our back, I don't think finding Gurrak will net us much beyond a further fight with little information. I suggest we return to our assay of the gargoyles and stairs."

Mundarion

Mundarion says, "I'll go back to disarming the stair trap, but I'm going to need you guys to cover me while I do that."
Mundarion returns to the spot he had been working at and examines the trap again.

Yessai will "cover" Mundarion with arrow-fire.
Ready Action: Fire shortbow at ice-goyle if necessary.
Should we not just eliminate the 'goyles first and then approach the trap at our leisure?

Oh, BTW, i'll just assumed i grabbed some blunt bolts from the pit from now on, say about 30
De'Arv'Ki loads her crossbow with a sharp bolt for the same purpose as Yessai.

Deranged_Maniac_Beth
This time, though, the golems fly down to attack immediately:
Mundarion initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Yessai initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
De'arv'ki initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Gemheart initiative: 1d20 ⇒ 19
golems initiative: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7

Mundarion--11

Yessai--7+

Mundarion will take a 5 foot step back and hold an action to cast Burning Hands when the gargoyles get in range (15 foot cone).
ASF Check: 1d100 ⇒ 22

            Ack! Sorry!
Yessai drops her bow and draws her blade - pointing it toward the icegoyles, empowering her awful dire zone as she does so.
"Come toward pain!" she screams at the oncoming creature.
Free Action: Drop weapon - bow
Move Action: Draw weapon - blade.
Standard Action: Intimidate first comer:
Intimidate: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17
Swift Action: Inimica: Pain Threshold

The gargoyles do not seem to be swayed by Yessai's words. Mindless;)
Oops, I forgot to ask y'all to place yourselves on the map. The green 'G's are the gargoyles (both are currently hovering in the air, and are descending.)
It's the gargoyles' turns, but they are probably going to trigger a bunch of readied actions so I need to know where everyone is.

Deranged_Maniac_Beth
The first gargoyle swoops down over Yessai, striking at her with its side as it passes!
slam: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Unaware of Yessai's Dire power, it falls victim to her.
force damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
The second gargoyle flies down towards Mundarion, curving slightly to the south before flying up and north again. As it passes, it slams into Mundarion before pulling away!
slam: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
As it passes, it is struck by both Gemheart's fire and Mundarion's spell.
Oddly, the gargoyle seems to slow down and become sluggish...
furthermore, the area of the gargoyle struck by Mundarion's fire transforms into boiling water...that might give a nasty burn anyone who touches it!

De'arv'ki's turn. Map.

Deranged_Maniac_Beth
@DMB - Yess' Pain Threshold does 2d6, and the gargoyle gets to make a Fort save (DC 15) for half damage. ;)
What does it do 2d6? It says 1d6 for every three levels of Direlock, you are level 4, and rounding down is the default in pathfinder.
In case there is some obvious reason I am missing, other force damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2.In any event, the gargoyle, as a construct, automatically succeeds on its fortitude save.
De'arv'ki strikes the gargoyle directly on its chest, causing chunks of ice to fall off!
Back to Gemheart's turn.

@DMB: Ah. It is meant to function like the Inquisitor's judgments - 1d6, +1d6 for every three levels. I'll look at rewording it. As it stands, it seems like it didn't work anyway…
Yessai channels fell power into her blade and swings at the flying icy beast…jarring her hands as her blade bites rock. Again.
Swift Action Terror Pool expenditure - +2 damage for 3 rounds.
Snang!!!: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 [BAB, +1 Str, +1 Mwk, -2 Large]
Shoppt!: 2d8 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (5, 2) + 1 + 2 = 10 [+1 Str, +2 terror pool]
Terror Pool damage increase - 2 rounds remaining.

Deranged_Maniac_Beth
Gemheart fires again but misses, whilst Mundarion fortifies himself.
Yessai maintains her miss streak, as her blade fails even to touch the gargoyle.
The first gargolye flies away from Yessai, slamming into Gemheart before flying up over the pit!
wham: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
The second golem, still sluggish and partly boiling, also strikes at Gemheart:
bam: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Although the forgeborn has sufficient insulation not to be harmed.

Gemheart ought to have gotten an AoO on the one flying at him and then away, possibly depending on its flight path.
Gemheart lashes out with his lucerne hammer!
poss AoO: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16
dmg: 1d12 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 3 = 14
Turning his attention to the one nearest him, Gemheart attacks once more with his enormous hammer (5ft step back first if the creature ended adjacent)
atk: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
dmg: 1d12 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 3 = 17

Gemheart taking a 5 foot step back would put him in Mundarion's square. Mundarion would of course move to give him room. So Mundarion will take a 5 foot step from K11 to L11. He will then use his pearl of power to cast Burning Hands again targeting the gargoyle closest to him.
ASF Check: 1d100 ⇒ 71
Damage: 2d4 ⇒ (1, 3) = 4 DC 15 Reflex save for 1/2 damage.

De'arv'ki hits directly.
Gemheart ought to have gotten an AoO on the one flying at him and then away, possibly depending on its flight path.
Nope. It has a spring-attack-like ability.
Gemheart, meanwhile, seriously damages the nearby gargoyle, after pushing into Mundarion's space. You did not confirm the critical.
