Argan Midnight |

I think you misread her post GM...

Lilpinny Marfedelom |

Well coincidentally I did have a bad day, but my post was letting you know I was having a software issue and couldn't actually post in gameplay, I could only preview. I previewed my rolls, which were both to low, so I let you know here that I failed them so you could move on.

Lilpinny Marfedelom |

I apologize for the silence. It's a combination of me not wanting to metagame (my last game died off about halfway through the horn) and because I had something serious happen in my private life. I'm still following along, just a little distracted to do any quality posting.

Argan Midnight |

What a pity Omen, take it easy man! We will take care of this while you put your mind back in order.

GM Aku |

@All
I know this isn't much pro gaming from my part, but those last days It's been only Argan and Vlad posting.
The place is mostly empty, save for a Ooze in the second level (The ones the daemons talked about), and a Wraith on the third (the crazy ghost of the crazy follower).
There are some things to find, but would it help if we skip the ‘empty’ room exploring?

Argan Midnight |

Sounds awesome. Let's take 20 on our two-day-search around the place to find everything, and then we can keep going.

GM Aku |

@Argan
Check the file: My Evil Lair I've added the description and map for level two and three.
Points of Note:
1 - The Oozes don't attack unless you enter it's room. I'll assume you don't, since they make perfect guardians for the hole in the wall, that can be used as entrance as well.
2 - The Wraith appears in the room 3-5. After everyone had time to read the place, I'll move you to there, so you can talk (or not) with him.

Kharn the Binder *Cleaned-Up* |

Sorry about the lack of posting but Kharn is just kind of going around in guard mode until we explore everything.

Argan Midnight |

Oh yes, the treant...

GM Aku |

So
Is there anything happening? I mean, for some time now, It has been only Argan and Vlad posting daily, which Lil showing up to roll some dice and Kharn saying he is alive in discussion.
Changing DM’s constantly is boring, and the fact this is a mostly abandoned place, and dungeons exploration in PBP are boring doesn’t help too.
Tell me if there’s anything lacking from my part (even tho I know I’ve been kinda away past weeks, to which I blame university), and we’ll work to solve it.

Lilpinny Marfedelom |

I think it's so much information that we're having trouble processing it. I'm making my return to the boards now so I should be much more active. Your summary post was a big help. Later today I'll have Seth drop some serious organizational leadership skills to get things moving.

Vladamir Orlovsky |

Id like to propose we set up a daily schedule of work that takes place if we choose not to go abroad.. Maybe put a set of checks in place to cover it and start plugging away at the what, 6 months of downtime we have? We should make our way back to Farhold and report and trying to recruit some peeps to our cause. next level i pick up dominate so that should help..
A simple Rev 0 list could look something like:
Get place cleaned and repaired.
Get traps reset and maybe add some more.
Fortify the place more.
Get the golem back opperating.
Get the forge back operating and get us a blacksmith to start pumping out some gear for minions.
Get alchemy lab set back up and start pumping out acid flasks and other goodies.
Vlad will looking to build a few coffins very shortly as well..
Anything else yall wanna add feel free..

GM Aku |

@Vlad
I have some sort of 'task' list already created. I'm just waiting you guys really finish the place so we can move to it.
Right now, there are two things pending:
What'll you do about the Shrine.
And soon after: The Wraith.
After that, I'll expose the task list, and I think i'll make easier for you guys to decide what to do or not to do.

Lilpinny Marfedelom |

A wraith? I thought it was something with a little more bite than that.
Speaking of tricking things into helping us, we should go back to the treant. Either get it to defend us or kill it so that Lil can reanimate it.

GM Aku |

Lil will most likely be spending all of her spare time crafting magical items at the requests of the party. Seth will handle selling off the goods to liquidate them.
About crafting magic items, I'm not a huge fan of turning 'gold' into magic components.
With that said, I expect items creation to be done 'after' the player had any time to go into city and buy magic stuff to create items. Also, a fair warning that if I notice the party wealth (That’s not the case right now), is getting out of hand because of the amount of created items, I’ll adjust the treasure you gain to be compatible, but that’s on the unlikely case the party wealth gets out of hand.

Lilpinny Marfedelom |

I'll be sure to have Seth pick up the actual components in town. If there's ever a problem getting an item just let me know.
I don't imagine it will reach that point. WotW is actually designed so if you don't craft you're very likely to fall behind on WBL.

Argan Midnight |

I'm catching up after my lack of internet the last days, so yeah, that's a lot of information. I'll help where I can for now.

Lilpinny Marfedelom |

Actually it's 10+CR. I was worried that I was misremembering the true power level of this thing. Source, at the bottom of the table.

GM Aku |

Ok so the real hidden treasure is in the secret room that you get into by pushing the 3 eyes in unison? Or is it another secret room off of it? I guess I’m confused..
The secret room you get by pushing the three eyes has nothing but worthless junk.
Anyway, due the facts (the magic aura), it stands reason that the ‘other treasury room ’ has something related to the door.

GM Aku |

Hint two:
The secret treasure room is opened from this very room. It works like this: If done wrong you open the room to the treasure room full of worthless things.
However, if done properly, the door opens to a pocket dimensions (which the victor never found) and the real treasure room.
--
So, what is this all about? The hints are in the altars and images, but it’s not necessary to interact with them to open the door.

Vladamir Orlovsky |

Sry ive got a bad sinus infection right now and my brain isn't working so well.. I gave it shot but the daggers are meaning nothing to me with the other info we have..

Kharn the Binder *Cleaned-Up* |

Thanks for the checklist that will make keeping track easier. I think we should start with clearing out the tower of all enemies and then move to take down the treant.

Kharn the Binder *Cleaned-Up* |

Sorry, I didn't know if we wanted to keep the oozes or not.

Vladamir Orlovsky |

Since the room isn't used for anything else I say we should keep the oozes for added protection.. Should prob spike the door leading to them for an added slowing effect if someone was to enter that way..

Lilpinny Marfedelom |

Lil will spend her time crafting items for the party. If everybody would make an item withlist that would be great.
Seth will tend to odds and ends, mostly all of the little odd-jobs that need to be done around the Horn.
I think killing the treant is questionable. Right now it's a very loud, very scary sentinel. As long as it doesn't see us as a threat it won't be an issue. Of course there's the argument that it would make a fantastic undead minion.

Lilpinny Marfedelom |

Aku, I think the "possible to do choices" is an excellent idea. It really helps with organization and should get us moving.
If you guys want I can have Seth push forward and start organizing everybody. I just didn't want to have him ordering people around since I figured both the characters and players wouldn't be fond of it.

Argan Midnight |

Ok let's put this to work. Give me some time to update our gold and check our options.

Kharn the Binder *Cleaned-Up* |

I think we should kill the tree now. As it could become a great ally for anyone trying to stop us.
