Yes, but, since it's a fantasy world, the stories could/would just be over-sexualised, melodramatic, exaggerated versions of "reality". The image that keeps coming back to me are those tabloids in Men In Black that turn out to be the best source of information on alien stories.

So, for example, the story on the gnome sorcerer and the fomorian (who might be just really good friends, mind you) would contain important details on how to actually summon a titan in the middle of the whole sensationalist narrative.

Just checking in; work's been a booger the past day or two and I'm pulling some OT tomorrow so I'll try to jump into Gameplay and catch up when I get home in the afternoon. For now, I need to get some sleep so feel free to bot Calli as needed :)

Alex doesn't have enough skill to perceive the trap, therefore he didn't think one was there. Alex doesn't have the skill to disarm this trap.

There was no reactions after 48 hours of the initial shock, so I proceed with the initial action of Iskra to try and figure out the telescope. During said time, trap reset and went off.

I will say that I hate the internet in my area, because I tried to have something posted yesterday, but ran into a disconnection problem that wiped everything. And sorry that I have been slow on the writing draw. Between the potato internet and work, it has been interesting to say the least

Sorry guys, this weekend was..... hectic to say the least. Never really got the chance to mess with the internet at all during the weekend. Will try to post before lunch, but I doubt work will be forgiving

I hate to do this right as I've instigated a little side-trip in-game but I'm going to be pulling 12s at work for the next three days so you may not see much in the way of posts from me during that time. I'll try to check in/keep up as much as I can but it may not be until Friday night or Saturday before I'll get caught up. As always, feel free to bot me for combat/skill checks as needed!

Sorry for being away for so long folks; my work schedule has lightened up like I expected it to after Friday but then I ended up testing positive for the flu yesterday and then my granny passed away this morning. Since I'm effectively house-bound until I get better I'll probably still be able to post but if they seem more subdued then that'll be why.

I'm really sorry to hear that, Calli. I know words from an PbP comrade don't mean much in a time like this, but hang in there and make sure to take care of yourself.

Hey folks, this isn't 100% related to the most recent happenings in my life but it *has* given me time to think on things a bit and I've come to the decision that I need to lighten my PbP load by a few games. It's been a slow process but I think I've taken on more than I can really handle right now and the stress of trying to keep up with them all is starting to have a negative impact on my mood and capability to write. Rather than have all of my games suffer for it, I'd rather let a few go so I can better focus on the ones that remain (and have a little more free time for other hobbies again, too).

It wasn't an easy decision to make (like picking among my non-existent children) but I believe this is one that I'm going to bow out of. It's been a fun game and a hilarious game and I hate to do it so soon after adding Vretiel and Iskra to the party. On the other hand, I think even without Calli you guys have a pretty strong and balanced group so hopefully my dropping won't really shake things up too much. And hey, it'll give Nebten a chance to figure out how to kill her off give her a graceful exit from the game right?

It's been a pleasure playing with everyone and I hope our paths will cross again in the future, hopefully under better circumstances for me :)

Sorry to see you go, Calli, but it is understandable. I'm surprised you lasted this long with as many games as you are currently in. That Recruitment page is a dangerous buffet that is easy to over-gorge on.

I appreciate you lasting until now since its a good time to exit, yet so close to our 1 year anniversary! I was at least hoping to get some flowers out of the deal ;)

Hey everyone, just a heads up: next monday I'll be travelling to Cuba for my master's and will stay there for 10 days.

Though I will definitely try to check in and post, I cannot really promise anything at the moment since these will be quite intense days and that it's unlikely that I will have a reliable internet connection whilst there.

Feel free to deal with Vretiel however you please on those days. Bot him, ignore him, make him leave on a picnic with Anastasia, etc.
