Discussion on cloak of resistance so it doesn't happen in gameplay:
I think the cloak should go to the person we want to be mind controlled the least. Kale is my bet. I need flank to sneak, so it's probably not that serious. Calli is dangerous too, but she has good wisdom and monk saves too, so...

I was honestly debating either doing Dmg or casting Cause Fear again on somebody. Of course, that would really suck to once again fly back into the webs and be stuck.
I'm surprised Paizo/WotC hasn't developed some kind of Web-Master PrC. Somebody that casts Entangle/Web/Black Tentacles but can manipulate them. Talk about AoE control. Either increase damage, leave blank spots for friends, etc, etc.

Thanks for being patient Haruf; hopefully we'll be able to finish this fight and get you back in the game soon!
I've got a character in another game here that's in a similar situation. Two failed Fort saves and a lucky crit from a stinking dog and she's been out the entire fight...and she's a Cavalier!
*le sigh*

Yah, sorry about that Haruf. Worse episode of this was during a Vampire game. One guy got Feared so he had to run away for x number of rounds, then of course that many rounds to return.
But we had like 8 or 10 people playing, so the rounds took a long as time to complete. My friend was out of play for 2 to 3 hours near the end of a 10 hour session. Nobody realized that was going to happen. He didn't return to that game again.
Again, I apologize. Now you have a swanky cloak.

I always found crevasses to be the bane of story progression. I'm not a fan of spells like web, solid fog, stinking cloud, pit or black tentacles either, on the whole. Slow combat down, and muck things up for the fighters.

Once we get to town and sell things, everyone gets:
728.2 gp.
You can "buy back" the following items at the following prices out of your share:
scrolls of Glitterdust (2) 150 (75 each)
wand of Web (4 charges) 180
small dagger, 1
Cloak of Fangs 1400
Msw Cold Iron Longsword 15
Iulia will buy back the two scrolls of glitterdust, and use one of them to add the spell to Sweet Tooth (glitter pig!). I auto make it if I can take 10 on the spellcraft roll.

This is the part I don't get. So we'll hold on to the Cloak and not use it because there's not enough gold in the party to buy it, except we have it in our hands.
Can't we value what each character took that so in the next loot distribution, that character gets less to even it out?

After a quick look at your sheet, Haruf, did you include this payout?
That should be enough to buy the Cloak or borrow some coin from somebody. After all, that cloak screams your name.
No to taking 10 on Spellcraft to learn spells since there is a penalty associated with it for failure.

Just checking in. I'm here, just allowing the party to discuss how they are going to approach the Wizard's Manor before moving things along.
I have also updated the Campaign Info tab. To simplify the discussion, they only weapons in town made from special materials are 20 silver arrows, 20 CI arrows and the weapons you sold for coin: Msw CI longsword & 2 mithral daggers. Anything else will have to be ordered and will take a week or so to get in.

So I'm going to be running Call of Cthulhu (7th ed) in a month for some local friends. Its been nearly 10 years since I last played it and it was only a game or two.
Supposedly 7th edition streamlined of some of the math, and it is noticeable when reading the 6th ed quick start rules vs the 7th ed.
Anybody have an tips running or playing CoC in general? I know not much can be said about 7th edition since it just came out. Any sticky points I should be aware of. For now, I plan on running a one shot scenario to see if we as a group like the system. Of course I'm going to go crazy with period music, sound effects, newspaper props and mood lighting.
