'Gar' Duncrick |
Gar slides along the wall, trying to find a better way to approach the fury of the skeleton before him.

The Many-Faced GM |
Botting Gyorgy.
Henry's blow smashes the skeleton into bits. Mikal's morningstar likewise dispatches a skeleton. Gar's adze takes a chunk out of one but it remains standing. Wreck's sword misses the skeleton while Clea's positive energy knits wounds close. Gyorgy's sword strikes the skeleton but the skeleton seems unimpressed as it tears into Gyorgy's flesh with both claws.
Gyorgy takes 9 points of claw damage from two swipes.

The final skeleton falls under the onslaught from the companions. The crypt becomes quiet once more as the last of the bones clatter to the floor. A single door stands in the east wall. The door is slightly ajar. No light escapes from the next room.
Combat is over.

'Gar' Duncrick |
"Come on, can't be anymore of them, thank the Gods, or they would of heard us getting our butts kicked and come to join in...damnable bones and strings. Not like chopping into Gobos. Should'a brought my mallet."
Gar will move up to peer into the next room.
Mikal Karoly |
Mikal will search the room, using detect magic, as well as his eyes.
perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Once that is done, he'll turn his attention to the next room and it's unnatural darkness.
Clea Starshine |
Be wary Gar. These things don't think like normal people. Clea moves into the room
Gygory, you are hurt. I have no spells left, but I will try to heal you somewhat
channel energy: 1d6 ⇒ 3
healing energy washes out across the party
'Gar' Duncrick |
Gar looks back and gives Miss Clea a chipped tooth smile, "But us being down here, means we ain't the 'normal' people." He taps his adze to his forehead in a salute, "But I appreciate the warning AND the healing."
The Many-Faced GM |
As Mikal and Henry examine the room, they notice a dark substance smeared on the door handle that leads to the next room. The door is not locked and sits slightly ajar. The lock previously on the door has been wrent and lies twisted and broken on the floor. Inside the room, the lone sarcophagus lies empty. Strips of cloth cover the floor in random spots having been cut or ripped apart. The fabric is well made but worn over time.
The poison is a nasty poison known as Malyass Root Paste.
The final sarcophagus lies within the last room and belongs to one Ezakien Tobyn, the town's previous religious leader. It lies open and empty and scattered remnants of religious garments litter the floor. Something has clearly disturbed the room as his remains are no longer here. Other than Tobyn's remains, the rest of the bodies and skeletons can be accounted for.
Mikal Karoly |
"Why would someone break in and steal a body? and specifically this body - that of Father Zantus's predecessor? And who would do such a thing? Was the goblin attack all a distraction to allow this desecration? We need to find out who would have cause and ability to set up such a plan, if that's what it was."
