Hey Smash! Seeing as I got healed less this round, could I have usen another Lay on Hands? Didn't used because with the pre-rework healing I was almost full.

GM Smashomancer |

Sweet, thanks for the revive. Also do i go this round or next?
That's a good question actually. I've never had a player knocked out, then revived in the same combat. Is there something in the rules for it? Otherwise, I'd say move between Seraphina and Lanliss in initiative or delay until next round to go, your pick.

Seraphina Firedancer |

They look like fun. Nothing too awesome, though. Not as good as the Vigilante seems to be.

As somebody who bought a hardcover version of Occult Adventures I must say that I love the flavour, specially the guidelines for occult campaigns and plot arcs.
Relating the classes I have mixed feelings. For example the Medium seems like it would prove quite capable and versatil -and therefore most probably fun- in a campaign in which the group has some time and info to prepare for their journeys.
And the Occultist has those kind of class abilities that doesn't add much to power level but are really neat and flavourful and motherloving Circles of Power!
Or Kineticist, with look cool as all hell but some of them may have gotten the bad end of the stick (Hello there, Pyrokineticist! Enjoy a world of literally no damage if your DM wants to!)
And then there's the Psychic. I never preferred full casters, but if you add extra resource to manage and another spell casting mechanic... they aren't nad, just not for me.
To sum up my opinion: I like them, but to really shine and be fun to play you need a cool DM.

So good news and bad news. Good news is my vacation to Illinois was great fun, and I made it back. Bad news is my computer is in technical terms "f~+%ed." So I cant continue running immediately. Posting from my phone is real rough. But on the other hand, I now have additional time to make setting info. So, while we wait: I'm taking requests for more expanded info on various subjects in the setting. Please limit requests to one subject per person. Thusfar, I've written about the churches of Har-kul and Kalmistra, and I'm going to add some info about something off-Calweld, the Winged Knights of Oster. So, dont feel limited to just things on/in Calweld.

![]() |

I will go ahead and ask for a "map" of Calweld, as Har-Kul is covered alreasy.
And with a map I mean a recount of the different hoods, it's shticks, places of interests and who controls them.
Let's call it "The Festivaler Guide to Calweld"

Lanliss Seldlon |

Lanliss would be interested in knowing about some of the groups and individuals that disturb the balance of Calweld

GM Smashomancer |

Alright, I have to be honest. I wanted to be finished with the setting info and back to posting. I do have a plot thread together to continue with, but my computer, while fixed, is unfortunately going to be in a bag, and stuffed in a side room for another twelve days. So, I have to ask again for you guys to wait for just a little longer. Im sorry about that. If I do try and post from my phone as GM, I just wont be able to put adequate quality into my posts, and it wouldnt be fair to you guys.

Thanks for telling us. At least your computer is fixed. :)

Insert 90s music
And I would wait twelve damned days!
And I would wait twelve damned more!
To be the man who got to play a paladin without the game dying!
Cease music...
Ejem... take you time Smashohandsome, I'll be right here waiting.

Friendly reminder that the only good 'Mancer is the old Smashomancer.
How errybody doin', my fellas?

I present for your viewing pleasure a pair of brief reads (read, not "pair of briefs") for you to go through at you're leisure.
These will both be available in Campaign Info. I should have another gameplay post up and ready to go by tomorrow evening, consider the gameplay thread open, please post your evening rituals if any to solidify the start of the "next day".
BUT, more related to the links above, I have plans. Reading through the Encyclopedia, you may notice most of the entries sound like possible race descriptions. That would be because some of them are possible race descriptions. Specifically, if there's interest, I'd like to introduce with stats a few races exclusive to our Festival campaign. The options would be the Phemus, Tintreach, and a metal plane-touched race, a hybrid of two elements like the Tintreach. I'd have added them already, but, well, I'm totally stuck for a good name to be honest. As well as the Cryolith, a crystalline ice-touched option I'll introduce in further updates. If anyone thinks these would be cool, let me know. I'll go ahead and stat them up.
And I will be updating these, as well as adding an Encyclopaedia Rituum for some of the more... sinister aspects of the arcane, divine, and occult.
Lastly, I want to add a few Creation Myths as well. The stories people tell each other about how things came to be among the gods. These would also serve to show how the various gods see each other, and possibly explain certain behaviors in their people. The first on my mind is the story of how language came to be, where Vaoh came to the aid of Har-Kul to teach mortal kind of communication, for example.
But yeah, hoping for some good gaming again everyone!

Abel The Wanderer |

I should actually let you guy's know this, gm and i have been talking for a bit or time and well Abel will be switching classes to Deadly fist Soul Knife, it does basically what i'm doing but better and less detrimental to the group in combat.

![]() |

I swear to the Old Lord Paizo should hire me to proofcheck their website sourcecode... again my post was eaten by the cyberarcane abomination they use to power it.
Anyway:
@Abel: I'm a fervient believer that being at peace with your character is prime to enjoying a game, and by extention not to ditch it. So more power to you with that rebuild! Plus I do love soulknife since 3.5, and pathfinder's one made me happy with the rebalance.
I'm eager to see the new Abel in action!
@Smashomancer: I've read both guides and let me tell you: kudos to you for the style on both, it make them look real. Man, I even imagined a goofy guide walking through the city.
Regarding the possible races, I want to know more! A must ask is: will there be any scaly race? I know for a fact you like 'em, and I do too.
And if Azrael were to meet his early demise, I'd be up to play one of those new races, with the metal-mix-elemental, phrenum and, if there are any, scaly ones on the top of that list.

Seraphina Firedancer |

I'd be tempted by the Cryolith is Serephina pegs it. A Winter-Witch might go well with the race, and let me keep healing too...while freezing people.

I must say, as much as I like the Deus Vulting, crusading, heretic smiting paladins, I like even more the police-like, investigating, charismatic bastards that they can be.
Sorry for the long posts, but I am enjoying myself a bit too much. *Lawful Good Grin*

![]() |

Sorry if I did too many checks in the same "round" but I was so conpletely astonished by how hard RNGeesus hates Azrael that I had to know the full extention of its most holy hatred.

![]() |

It's no surprise that Azrael loves the number 1. And 2. Actually he loves anything below 10.

GM Smashomancer |

That would explain why each character of mine seems to have their own average of luck with the die roller. My LE Inquisitor? Loses four separate full attacks but only during important fights during just the first half of Skulls and Shackles book 4. Actually pretty well optimized, I think. LG Cavalier? Made every save and crit like a Mofo. Extra giggles cause he was a Kobold.

![]() |

Busy, well, week, day, time... so busy everything.
I will post tomorrow, but if yall wanna move things forward assume Azrael tries anything and fails miserably.

![]() |

Surprise trip to Basque Country, gonna try and post tonight. Sorry for the delay, fellas

Oi! First, I like the wagon's name. It's... very Calweld.
Secondly, I've had a rough couple days and had to catch up with every game today. I will post tomorrow morning, but feel free to move on if you like to as it will be mostly flavour text and RP ^^

![]() |

Going to post later tonight. Is the general consensus an hour or two will suffice?
We could always walk back and risk the random wandering encounter.

Remeber - you must all eat as much turkey as you can, so I don't have to.
