Rock speaks Abyssal, same as the Mountain Folk. So, Oios is good to go!

I like this encounter. It adds verisimilitude to the world, it isn't a combat encounter, and it has people using things they don't normally do.

Backed already, managed to get into the second early bird tier.
Of course I haven't even found time to play Pillars of Eternity, let alone Tides of Numenera but... paizo deserves the support.
Great to see Pazo investng their line into PC games. I grew up playing Neverwnter Nights 2 on the PC and have fond memories of it. The fact they have Chris Avalone on board means it will be an enjoyable story at least. To be frank the gameplay and graphics look bland, but that might not be a problem if the experience carries the whole game.
I'm a little concerned about this studio Owlcat games... i've never heard of them before, but their lead game developer claimed this will be the same content and quality as Pillars of Eternity or Divinity: Original Sin, and that's quite a statement.
Nevertheless I'll be giving them $30 and seeing where this goes. They say the game is coming out regardless, they just want to add a bunch more stuff to the game, so it's not like I have anything to lose (and i want to support paizo).
Owlcat seems to be a new stuido, but they seem to be experienced and have good backing behind them and I don't think Avellone would put his name on something that he wasn't at least somewhat confident about. They say that the demo they've running at paizocon is very well polished too so that's a point in their favour. Wonderful art too which matters a great deal.
Still Kickstarter is kickstarter, I'm batting 1.0 there (with only one that was kinda dissapointing) but there have been high profile duds before.
Just take my money already!
The video for the Kingmaker Kickstarter has a lot of tall promises but if they can deliver on a portion of it it'll be well worth the $30. If they do a decent co-op, I'll end up buying several copies to explore the content with friends and family.

I'm Galorit on steam. I've been playing Breath of the Wild exclusively lately, and don't play many multiplayer games anymore (I played WoW hardcore for 8 years, that was enough), but who knows when that will change!

It goes OK. We finished a large part of the project yesterday, so I've got a couple of weeks to figure out the next step. I'll be happy to have that time back!

I just heard of Pillars of Eternity due to this KS. It looks pretty good. I'm going to pledge this KS and get POE later on down the line, I think.

Did you play 1? I found it after I played 2 and quite liked it. It was a little less fantastic, and I liked a lot of the NPCs more. Hmmm. I think I know what I'm doing this weekend.
PoE should get pretty cheap soon, maybe even a humble bundle or something when PoE 2 releases. That's early 2018 though.

However, in this case, before you go write a big long speech, Oios' sense motive taking 10 would be enough to tell him: nothing short of physical coercion is going to make Gent fold. The man firmly believes that Rock is an enemy and will bring the deaths of many Shadeholmers. I'd hate for you to go waste some beautiful piece of writing on Gent's deaf ears; the old Shadeholmer is firm in his conviction, and not going to listen to platitudes or threats.

That's kind of what I'm interested to see here. You're not going to convince Gent that he's wrong. What do the PCs do with someone who's not a bad guy per se, but is opposed to their actions?
I can figure Istiel and Imix's responses (probably), but Drazan, and perhaps Oios, may have different ideas. Nat probably would as well, were she here now.

I can't see the game on that list either. If you can see it, it means that the game is somehow hidden from my view. I'm trying to troubleshoot a little before I send Paizo another email.
If you can't see the game either, I suppose that means that I don't exist, and hence neither do you all, as you'd be figments of my non-imagination. I hope that isn't the case!

Istiel probably doesn't have the jurisdiction to be exiling people considering she's tchnically a soldier/law enforcer. But I don't know if we have any judges and this is basically martial law anyway. If Hamfatten wants to get pissy about it he can get pisssy about it. He's a constable, correct? so probably one hierarchial step above Istiel.

Gent and the others like him are not good people and as Gent made his angry declaration and fearful accusations, Drazan had to fight every urge to cut the man down. To cut him down now, would not help him achieve his goal, Gent was a meaningless distraction, like the frakking mosquitos. Oh I would love to swat him into a bloody smear.
Then Istiel appeared and started to do exactly what Drazan was imagining he could do. The corner of Drazan's mouth curled like a reflex as the sound of the first strike reached his ears. Despite their differences, Istiel continued to impress and grow on him more and more. When Oios stepped back in to intervene, a brief feeling of being let down was quickly replaced by words Oios's praise for saving lives. It felt good to hear the words.
