Korriban Balros |

Korriban nods at Teodor. "Sounds good. It's all yours. You might want to get it cleaned first like Sel suggested. I feel better in leather armor."
He also tries to distribute the 30 sails evenly. Again, that's 7 gp, 5 sp for each of us. Also, the +1 chain shirt goes to Teodor and the +1 silver rapier goes to Korriban. That leaves the two glass vials.
He looks in the direction of Girrigz's room. "Let's check in that direction."
Hey. I have a question. Does the fact that the rapier is silver give me some kind of attack penalty? It has a +1 modifier and, therefore, is also masterwork.

The Norv |

It does not. It gives you the normal +1 to attack and damage rolls as a magic weapon.
The wererat in the antechamber nods a silent thanks to Selawyn as she helps him bind the others' wounds. Aside from the wererat she executed, most of the others still cling to life, though neither Selawyn nor the wererat is particularly skilled at treating their wounds. Hopefully they'll make it.
Korriban, investigating to the north, finds a larger chamber, the walls of which are pocked with small crevices and caves, most showing disgusting evidence of rodent habitation. Two dire rats lurk here, but hiss and flee through the walls when they see Korriban approach. Spying a dark crevice to the east, the rogue follows the passage through the wall and into what was once Girrigz's room.
Several crates, mismatched boxes, and poorly kept weapons lie scattered and stacked around this chamber's floor. Pinned to the side of one stack is a crudely sketched map of Korvosa. A large rat's nest, strewn with moldy pillows, fills an elevated hollow to the south.
I'm assuming you intend to search the area.
A quick survey of the scattered goods reveals a veritable arsenal: nearly two dozen daggers, a dozen short swords, miles of moldy rope and dark cloaks, a few light crossbows and bolts for them, and a few chain shirts. One or two items are exceptional or of high quality: there are a dozen vials of alchemist's fire, a masterwork longsword, and a suit of masterwork chainmail.
Map updated, if you want.

Korriban Balros |

Korriban walks around the room, going through everything. He calls back to the others, "A lot of stuff here! Daggers, short swords, light crossbows, crossbow bolts, and a few chain shirts. There's also a dozen vials of alchemist's fire, a high quality longsword, and a suit of masterwork chainmail! There's also some rope and dark cloaks! Rope's a bit moldy, though." He searches a bit further.

Unfortunately, his search is a bit half-assed. He can't seem to find anything else.

Selawyn nods to the were-rat next to her and after all of the other ones are bandaged she follows the group into exploring the room. She picks up three of the vials of alchemist fire and looks around.

Teodor then searches with his compatriots. Unafraid to get dirty-filthy,rather-he digs in the nest and discovers four stoppered vials containing light green liquid, a masterwork silver dagger, and a small, iron bottle with a thick stopper inserted. "Well, well. What have we here?" He casts detect magic.

The Norv |

The wererat scowls. "I appreciate the offer, but I'd rather not touch that silver, thanks all the same. You lot can keep it." He continues binding the others' wounds. "Name's Yari. Nice to meet you, I guess, though I wish it'd been under other circumstances." He glances at Teodor quizzically. "Why d'you say I'll need it?"
In the next room, Teodor's spell reveals that the four bottles and the bottle all radiate faint magic. The dagger, though well-wrought and silver, is otherwise mundane.
Are you guys taking EVERYTHING (including all mundane gear) or just certain objects?

Korriban Balros |

Korriban smiles at Teodor's find. "Nice find, Teo. A lot of..." He grows quiet at the sight of the silver dagger. "That silver dagger. Can I see that?"
Assuming that Teodor lets Korriban inspect the dagger...
Korriban turns the dagger in his hands. He whispers, "It couldn't be..." He checks every inch of it, seeing if it's the same dagger.
Take 20 on Perception for 28.
The Silver Rapier discussion.
Hearing Teodor still offering the rapier to the now identified Yari, Korriban listens to the conversation, clearly interested.
I assumed that we were taking it all. Although, arming some of the wererats to aid us I the future would be an idea.

Teodor Niculescu |

"Not the silver one, Yari. The nice longsword. Girrigz was a maniac, but a conflict is brewing. Not between lycanthropes and humans, but between the city and those who would destroy it from within, plundering from the poor."

Lantressa Darksong |

Lantressa let the others deal with the rest of the searching and helping the wererats that survived. She actually found herself very curious about the "otyugh" and couldn't help but go and take a peak at it. She cautiously, and quietly, made her way to the passage that led to where the creature was at and peaked out into the section of sewer where it was said to be.

"Hmmmph. I suppose it's a nice enough blade, though a bit large for me," Yari says, testing the blade's weight as Selawyn packs most everything else. He eyes Teodor. "You seem to have big ideas, friend. Which it'll be interesting to see play out, I admit, but...I've more or less had my fill of cult leaders with big ideas. Sorry."
Korriban, meanwhile is rapt in his examination of the dagger. It certainly seems to be the same blade that you got from Verik Vancaskerkin months ago. And then traded to Davargo Bravasi, from whom it allegedly disappeared. And then traded (again) to Karolo...this is strange. Beyond strange, really.
Lantressa, creeping south and peering into the sewer, is able to take in the situation pretty quickly: two thick grates of rusted iron hedge in this sewer tunnel. A steady stream of sewage seeps from the crack she stands in, oozing into the greater flow below. A hulking pile of offal and debris partly blocks the stream of filth, a disgusting clot in this filthy artery.
Then, suddenly, one of the debris on top rotates, and a half a dozen yellow eyes peer at Lantressa from atop a strange eyestalk. Then, with a lumbering roar, the whole pile shifts and lurches toward her, revealing a three-legged freak that's mostly mouth. It has three tentacles, two tipped with barbs and the third with eyes, and it whips one of the former at her. Even covered by the wall, Lantressa's startled and slow to react, and the tentacle clubs her, desperately twisting in an attempt to seize her that she only just barely manages to wriggle out of. The beast bellows in what sounds like panic as it feels her slip away.
"NOOOOO FOOD! SO HUNGERIES!"
Possible Combat
Everyone here's the otyugh's bellow, and Yari curses. "I told you to leave the beast alone!" As Lantressa staggers slightly from the blow, she realizes quickly that though its tentacles are long, the trapped creature is far too large to fit through the narrow crevice she's currently standing in...

Lantressa Darksong |

Lantressa let out a grunt of pain as she was hit and quickly decided she wanted nothing to d with this. She yelled back, "I'm NOT food!" As she quickly got the heck away from the thing. Having backed into the safety of the wererat lair, something she never thought she'd say, Tress said to everyone with a look of fright and disgust, "Do NOT go in there." Here eyes were wild but other than holding her side where the thing had hit her she seemed alright. Once she calmed down and caught her breath she said, "I'll admit I've always dreamed about being taken by a bunch of tentacles, but not when they're trying to shove me in a mouth to eat me the bad way."
Full withdraw action so I don't provoke, not about to fight this thing.

Korriban Balros |

Korriban is shocked by the sight of the eye on the dagger. But, before he can say anything, he hears the loud roar. With Yari cursing and Lantressa running back, he can figure out what's going on. He looks at Tress. "Tress? Dear? Why did you go to the giant monster? Granted this isn't the first one Teo and I have encountered. But the question remains." When she makes her statement in regards to tentacles, the rogue's face turns red. "Well... Uh... I have to say, that's a new one. I have no response to that. No joke or smartass comment." He thinks for a moment and says, "I got one. Is that something all women want or is that a Lantressa fantasy?"
He shakes his head and looks at the others. There is slight fear in his eye. He holds up the dagger. "Guys. This dagger. It's the same one. The same dagger I gave to Spiderman. The same dagger that disappeared on him. The same dagger that I found and traded to Karolo. Now, it's here! Only of a masterwork quality now! And, while I was looking it over, I thought I saw an eye looking at me from the blade! There's something wrong with this dagger! Something that not even Zellara could identify! Am I going insane here?!" He glares at the silver dagger in his clutch. "What the hell are you?"

Lantressa Darksong |

Lantressa considered the smarmy comment from Korriban and finally replied, "I don't know if all women want that or not, I'm sure my mother didn't. She and daddy were both prudish crusaders with no sense of fun, I'm sure daddy is rolling in his grave to have a whore daughter, mom likely is too, if she's dead of course. Maybe it's an Abyssal thing?"
The menation of the dagger being the one that he'd given to the Spider, the one that had given him such trouble, Lantressa looked at it curiously, "I don't see an eye in it, are you sure you're alright Korri?" She had laid one clawed hand on his shoulder as she looked deeply into the reflective surface of the blade out of curiosity.

Korriban nods at Lantressa's explanation. He then sheepishly rubs the back of his head. "Hey, Tress? If my question offended you, I'm sorry. I've got to learn when to keep my mouth shut. But, what can I say? I like to talk."

Korriban feels the hand on his shoulder. He looks at Lantressa and nods. "I'm alright, Tress. But, I know what I saw. I saw an eye, staring at me."
"Cursed, mayhap?"
Korriban looks at Teodor. "C-C-Cursed? Cursed?! C'mon, man! Don't say that! I don't like curses, just like I don't like the undead!"
He looks at the dagger in his hand. "I don't know what this thing is. But I know it's the same one. I know it by this point. So, let's see what this thing really is. I've got two ideas. We can either feed this thing to the otyguh or..." He walks over to Selawyn and unsheathes one of the short swords. He holds it, gripping it tightly. "...we can hack and smack this thing! Cast spells on it even! If we can destroy it, then it's fine. However, it manages to survive the impacts, then it's something else! It's okay with me to destroy it! I don't want this thing! I got plenty of masterwork daggers and I can always buy another silver dagger of such quality." He then scowls. "And while this thing has benefitted me, I've also gotten some share of trouble from it." He tries to keep his composure and his eyes features well schooled.

Selawyn |

Selawyn rushes over when she hears the sound of combat. Hearing Korriban's words about the curse she simply looks quizzically. "Well is the dagger harming you in any way? Look if you don't want it I'll take it off your hands it's a dagger, but what trouble has it caused you?" Selawyn also moves over to where the tentacles attacked from and yells down.
"Hey, if you're hungry then wait! We'll feed you just don't attack us!"

The Norv |

Yari glances at the dagger nervously. "Never seen that before...if yer goin' to be releasing any curses, think I might just uh...wait...over...here..." He heads rapidly into the next room.
The otyugh beyond the gap in the wall bellows, and then its tentacle withdraws. A few moments later you hear a strange sound that you quickly realize is the creature blubbering. "PLEASE PLEASE FOOD! ME TRAPPED BY MEAN RAT HOOMANS--SO HUNGERIES!"

Korriban Balros |

Sense Motive vs Teodor: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Korriban can tell that Teodor's just as scared about this as he is. He looks at the priest and says, "It's okay. I'm not chosen by your god. However, we could consult with an expert about this."
@Selawyn
Korriban looks at the Hellknight when she offers to take the dagger. He frowns at her and steps to her. He pokes her on the armor. "It's giving me trouble because I... embellished the history of it to trade it to Bavarsi for the freedom of our friend, Majenko. I found out later that it disappeared on him and now he wants to kick my ass. Then, I found it again and sold it to Karolo. And, now it's here. Now he probably wants to kick my ass. That's the problem. And I refuse to lump this on you, Sel. I like you. I don't want you to eventually try and get rid of it and then disappearing, p*****g off whoever you left it with. Some people don't like Hellknights. You don't need any other reasons."
@Yari
Korriban looks at their new wererat friend. "Relax, Yari. We're not going to release any curses." Unfortunately, that doesn't stop Yari from going into the next room.
Otyugh
Korriban looks in the direction of the otyguh. He then looks back at the dagger in his hand. He looks back and forth between the two for a bit. He then smiles. "Sure. We got something for you to eat. No problem."

Selawyn |

Selawyn laughs at Korriban's fears. "Don't worry I can deal with anyone not liking me, besides I'm not so sure this is the same dagger. I think you're just finding a dagger that looks the same as the old one and those fools just lost their daggers and blamed you."
Selawyn then heads back over to the dead giant rats and the rats that were killed from the swarm. Picking up a lot of them she headed back over towards the creature. "Here's some rats to eat." Then looking around Selawyn tries to see if there is any way to get the creature out of where it was locked.

The Norv |

"*SNARF* *SLORP* MMMMMM DELICIOUS RATS OH YES MMMMMMM"
The rats distract the otyugh for a few seconds--picking them out of the slime keeps its tentacles busy, though it doesn't seem to care all that much how dirty they are. The distraction does give Selawyn a few minutes to examine the creature's situation in more detail, though.
There are two gates that the otyugh is trapped between. The western one is heavily rusted and appears to be completely fixed in place, bolted or welded into the sewer walls. The one to the east, though, looks much newer. It seems to be able to retract into the ceiling and, squinting toward the wall beyond it, Selawyn can see what looks it might be a crank to raise it!
Of course, to get there someone would have to negotiate getting past the otyugh...and the eastern gate.
If you want to make Diplomacy checks to get the otyugh more friendly to you, you have a +4 bonus because you gave him food. :)
EDIT: Also, the map, in case that helps you visualize it.

Korriban Balros |

@Selawyn
Korriban frowns at Selawyn. "Be that as it may, I'm still not letting you carry this thing. Besides, do you honestly think that Bavarsi would lose track of the dagger? Especially since I told him that it had been in the hands of some of the nobles in Korvosa? Even the Queen?"
Regarding the dagger's fate...
Korriban looks at the otyguh and the dagger. He smirks. "Should I do it? Do I dare to feed this to the otyguh?"
Freeing the otyguh...
Korriban looks it over with Sel. He listens to Selawyn as she explains what she sees. He decides to try and free him. He speaks to the otyguh. "Excuse me. There may be a way to free you. However, one of us will need to get past you to get to it. So, would you allow us to get past you safely and without fighting you?"
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 13 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 13 + 4 = 36

Lantressa Darksong |

Lantressa picked up some of the rat bodies and began to bring them to Selawyn, she might not want to deal with this creature herself after nearly getting grabbed b it but she was willing to help. She saw that her friends had things well in hand and so she let them handle things for the time being.

The Norv |

"HMMMMMM? YEAH, YOU NICE! I BE NICE TO YOU. NOT WITH EATING, UH-UH." The otyugh barely even seems to register your request, but it does shift to one side so that you can make your way through--and though it keeps an eyestalk on you as you wade past it, it doesn't make any move to attack.
As you approach the gate, you can clearly see the operating mechanism on the far side. Although the gate's clearly moveable, it is heavy and iron, and the bars are close-set.
How're you guys going to try to move past it?

Lantressa Darksong |

Lantressa examined the mechanism from a distance and thought it over.
If the distance is within 35 feet.
Seeing the distance was close enough Tressa had an idea. She said a few words with a gesture and then pointed at the lever exerting her magical power to try and move the lever.
I cast mage hand and try to activate the lever with it.

The Norv |

Lantressa, stepping just into the sewer (though not approaching the otyugh), reaches out a hand and focuses on the crank beyond the eastern gate. There's a moment where she struggles against the friction and inertia, but then suddenly the crank begins to move seemingly of its own accord! Rust shrieks as the crank slowly turns and the gate begins to rise, grinding through its stone slot as it does so.
The process takes a minute or two as Lantressa continues to focus on the gate, which the otyugh is watching, eyes bright, even as it continues to feed. Then, as the gate slams into place and leaves the tunnel unblocked, the hideous creature lets out a bellow of rapturous joy and starts to barrel down the tunnel, knocking aside (but not in any damaging way) anyone in its path. As it charges through the muck, it begins to sing.
"ME AM FREE, OH SO FREE, ME FEEL FREE AND SO FREE FREE FREE FREE! FREEDOM HIGH-DAY, HIGH-DAY FREEDOM! FREEDOM HIGH-DAY, FREEDOM!"
Near the end of the tunnel, it turns partly back. "ME ETERNALLY GRATEFUL TO FOOD STUFFS! ME REMEMBERING YOU FOREVER...UH...FOOD! BYE-BYE!"
And then it's gone around the corner, still singing and barreling off through the tunnels of the sewer, leaving you alone with the plunder from Girrigz's den and the long trek back to the surface.
Anything else to do down here, or just headed out?

Korriban Balros |

Korriban is surprised by Lantressa's magic. When the otyguh leaves, happy about its freedom, the rogue smiles and waves good bye. "Yeah, yeah. Have a good day." He looks at the others. "Okay. Let's get everything, search everywhere, and get out of here. I still need to figure out what the deal is with this dagger. I might follow Teodor's advice and get this looked over." He walks back to Selawyn and sheathes the shortsword back into the sheath.

Selawyn |

Selawyn seems happy the creature was at least free to do whatever large creatures did in the sewers. Taking one final look around Selawyn breathed a deep sigh of relief and got ready to head back to civilization.

The Norv |

Gathering up the remaining weapons and gear from Girrigz's den, the four of you push your way through the sewers and toward the exit, bidding Yari a polite farewell as you go. He just nods at you, respectful though not fond, and continues to monitor his fallen comrades.
Without Eries's guidance, it takes you an hour or two to find your way from the den back to the manhole through which you first entered. Eventually you make it out, and climb the ladder back into the world of light and--what you never thought you'd say about the Midside docks--clean air. As you stretch, clean yourselves off, and breathe in deeply, you notice a strange scent, like charred meat. Peering out of the alley into an avenue and looking to the south, you quickly spot what you're smelling: a plume of massive, dark smoke that looks like it's originating from the Grey. It takes you a minute, but then you realize what it is, and your stomach drops: they must've started burning the bodies of plague victims.
Still, Korvosa, even under seige, is a busy place on a Starday afternoon, and you're quickly swept into the rush. It's late afternoon now, so you could probably still get something done if you wanted to--Eries won't be back until tomorrow morning, you remember.
Going to leave this open for a day or two in case people want to post some simple actions--buying and selling things, etc. Then I'll move us forward!

Korriban Balros |

Korriban breathes in deeply as they make it to the surface. He aids getting the others up the ladder. When he smells the scent, he looks confused. He looks around until he sees the huge plume of smoke. He is in shock. "By the Gods. They're burning the bodies."
Korriban looks at the others and explains what he wants to do. "Guys. There's some things that I want to do. I want to try and sell some of the things we have. I also want to try and sell the jewelry that we got and find someone who can look at this dagger. As well as cure Falko of the blood veil. And take care of some other things."
Basically, I want to sell what we got and buy some things. Also, I want to cure Falko using Teodor's wand of cure disease. Also, identify the silver dagger. There is also Lantressa's bracers of armor and see if we can upgrade them. I'll take the wand of charm person.
I just realized something. I think the coins in the lockbox are okay (besides the ones of Cheliaxian mintage). I mean, we used the Abadar key and we're perfectly fine. Also, I wanted to say that the potion I put on the ground, I'll say that Korriban picked it up on the way out.

Lantressa Darksong |

Lantressa was infinitely relieved that they'd made it out of that mess safely. She wished that they hadn't had quite so much disagreement about how to handle things but knew that it was to be expected some times. With multiple castings of magic she managed to clean off her clothing completely. It was then that she heard Korriban comment on burning the bodies and she said, "And this surprises you? It was bound to happen sooner or later if they couldn't cure the plague quickly." She didn't seem particularly shocked or concerned by all of this and was taking it quite well.
At the thought of shopping Tressa seemed somewhat conflicted. On the one hadn she should really get back to the brothel as Saturdays were usually a very busy day and she knew she'd been spending a lot of time away lately. Of course the plague had been causing a rather significant problem with business and it was quite possible it wasn't as busy as it normally should be. Then of course there was the fact that she could get things, or at least some more money, and that appealed to her greatly. She came to a decision and said, "I think I'll go with you Korriban, at least for a little while. I'd normally be very busy at work on a Saturday but with the plague and all business is down so I may not actually be missed."
I have bracers of armor? Did I forget to add those at some point?

Korriban Balros |

Korriban looks at Lantressa and smiles. "Thanks for joining me. It'd be nice to have some company."
We got them from Vendra. They are +2. I made a note of them (and all party loot) in my alias.

The Norv |

As you make your way through the streets, it seems to you that Korvosa is even more somber and muted than when you entered the sewers, if that were possible. But stores remain open, at least in the more populous parts of town: every third store in the Midlands is closed "temporarily," but once you make your way into the Heights, you find more and more stores amenable to making purchases from you, and there are plenty of alchemists, enchanters, and the like in the University district. Once you've made the purchases and sales you want to, you head home to try to get some rest.
We can go over in detail what you're buying and selling in Discussion. Everyone regains 5 hit points!
Sunday, 13th of Rova, 4708
The next morning barely dawns under heavy rain. Perhaps fearful that the rain will help spread the plague, or perhaps just wanting to avoid the muck, all those but the most devout Abadarites appear to be staying in. You have an appointment, though--and not long after you get to Zellara's house on 3 Lancet Street, you hear a knock at the door and find Eries standing outside, in human form. She makes her way in slowly.
"I heard what happened," she says, speaking slowly. She sounds like it's difficult for her to say what she wants to. "Girrigz gone is a good thing, for all of us. Though I would wish that those of his men who fell had been able to be saved." She clears her throat huskily, then looks up. "No matter. You've done as I asked, and I had promised you information as a reward." She clears her throat.
"Ten days ago, as you probably know, a black-sailed ship burning a single light sailed into Korvosa's harbor, and was brought down by the Guard's ballista. What you may not know is that we watched as it happened. There's lots of sewer tunnels down by the harbor, and a number of my kinfolk saw the whole thing.
"My folk didn't see anything unusual--or anything at all--on the ship, but not long after it sank, they found some strange debris. Small boxes, which turned out to hold pouches of silver...and a handful of dead rats each." Eries's eyes shine in the light. "Those boxes were bound to timbers so they would float. So that they'd come ashore.
"Now, my kin are hardy folk, and we suspected something might be wrong. Some said they scented a foulness on the coins, and kicked the boxes back into the river. But I don't think that vessel's sinking, those boxes tied to stay afloat, and the onset of this plague are what you'd call 'coincidence.'"

Korriban Balros |

Korriban runs around the district, looking all of the interesting things. He starts by selling his masterwork rapier and the jewelry from Vendra. He also tries to aid in the selling of the gear from Girrigz's hideout. He then finds some explosive types of items and things that can effectively increase his combat potential.
Buying what I mentioned in the Discussion thread for 131 gp and selling the masterwork rapier for 160 gp and the jewelry for 50 gp. So we each get 12 gp and 5 sp from the jewelry. Unless we should keep it for when Vendra gets out.
He puts on his new spring loaded sheathes and begins to work them. He puts one of his master crafted daggers and (somehow) the wand of charm person in the other. He makes sure that the sheathes are hidden in his sleeves. He's careful when storing his new explosives. He then puts his new rapier into its new combat scabbard, the gold and black color scheme glinting in the sunlight. He then tries to find a professional to try and figure out just what the silver dagger is.
He also talks to Teodor about healing Falko of the blood veil. After all of that, Korriban bids his friends farewell and proceeds to head home.
The Next Day...
Korriban sprints to 3 Lancet, ducking under shading and cover to avoid the rain. When he arrives, he tries to shake off as much water off as he can. But, he's still a bit wet regardless. When Eries arrives Korriban nods at her in greeting. As she expresses her thanks, Korriban scratches the back of his head. "You're welcome. Part of me wishes we could have saved them as well."[b] When she explains what she saw, Korriban listens in interest. When she's finished, Korriban looks rather pale. He looks at the others. [b]"You guys. We were right. Someone is spreading the blood veil on purpose. What do we do? Investgate the ship?"
I'm going to work on updating Korriban's sheet.

The summons came a bit earlier than she would have preferred but Lantressa was already up having some breakfast with the other Girls and so it wasn't hard for her to finish, get ready, and leave. The rain was a nuisance, she liked rain, just not this much all at once. It left her sodden and miserable by the time she reached 3 Lancet street. When she had stepped just inside Tress cast a spell and she instantly became dry as the water simply sloughed off of her body and out of her clothing. She cast the same spell again, this time a tiny waterspout picked up all of the water and took it out into the street where it belonged. She smiled at Korriban and said, "Morning Korri, lovely day isn't it?" Her voice was thick with sarcasm but there was a teasing grin on her face as well.
When Wries arrived Tressa greated her sadly, "It's good to see you again, I just wish dealing with Girrigz had been easier. I'd like to say that deaths were kept to a minimum but thanks to a certain someone, who shall remain nameless, that wasn't the case. Still, I'm glad it wasn't any worse than it turned out to be." She moved to a stove and asked, "Would you like some hot tea?"
As she listened to the story of the ship Tressa became very concerned, "It seems we were right then, the sickness was on the coins. The real problem is it was deliberately spread."

Lantressa earns 7 silver pieces that night, being rather tired from the day's exertions and not at her best. (Profession checks are normally made weekly, I think?)
Eries bobs her head at Lantressa's offer of tea. "Thank you, ma'am. I appreciate it." She accepts the offered cup sits on a chair in the corner, listening intently to your conversations. "The coins seemed tainted to my kin, aye. Whether that was meant to be so or not, I do not know."

Lantressa Darksong |

Normally they are, yeah, I'm not necessarily doing it for cash, just to see how well I performed that night.

Korriban Balros |

Korriban, who had since taken his hair out of its ponytail and begins wringing out the water through an open window, turns to look at Lantressa. Seeing her teasing grin, Korriban smirks and says, "Indeed it is. There's no troublesome sun getting in people's eyes; the temperature is nice and cool; and who doesn't like to be soaked down to the bone." His tone is also sarcastic. He then continues to try and shake the water off of his coat and hair.
Korriban nods as Lantressa shares her sentiments. When she offers tea, Korriban raises his hand and says, "May I have some?"
As she listened to the story of the ship Tressa became very concerned, "It seems we were right then, the sickness was on the coins. The real problem is it was deliberately spread."
Korriban says, "Yeah. It does look that way. This is really starting to s**k."
@Eries
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Korriban is so concerned with the revelation that he doesn't notice anything odd. He looks at Eries and says, "I say that it was done on purpose. This seems all too odd."
So, are we selling all of the weapons we found?

Teodor Niculescu |

sense motive: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20
Teodor enters, sopping wet in his rags, though he doesn't seem to mind. "Whiskey weather! Ahee!" he says, taking a swig from a bottle.
"Girrigz would have gotten you all killed. Thank you for telling us, though I, too, wish we could have saved more."diplomacy: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
"I've long suspected these coins were part of a purposeful attack, likely from Chelish dogs or the False Queen ...or both. Is there ...any thing else, my dear?"

The Norv |

Gack, sorry for the lack of post yesterday. A polenta emergency disrupted my evening.
Eries bites her lip, then sighs. "Well, it's probably for the good of the city...If you do decide to investigate that sunken ship, I...may be able to help out. One of my sons recently found a back way into an alchemist's shop, so if you'd like we could supply you with magic allowing you to breathe underwater for some...below-market rates." She smiles and shrugs.

Korriban Balros |

Korriban, not even looking at Teodor, raises a hand in greeting. "Hey, Teodor."
Korriban nods at Eries. "That sounds good. I want to take a look at that wreckage anyways. Also, do you have any magic that can aid us in swimming? Because, well, to be honest... I don't know how to swim." He looks at the others as they look at him. "What? You honestly think that I would learn how to swim in the waters around here? No! There are sharks in that water! Besides, I never had a need to learn."

The Norv |

Eries grimaces. "I don't know of any in that store, but I'll find out. Besides, I can show the spot--more or less--where the ship went down, and the Jeggare's not too choppy there." She smiles thinly. "You'll be wanting to sink, anyway, to get down and look at it. I'd be more worried about the dark...I've not got much help for you there."
