For those who are not following the discord chat, I'm retooling the campaign to fix several issues I've found over the weekend. The fixing will make the world a bit more dynamic, the current player agency much more a thing, and help give short term goals for everyone. Since we've been on the run from the humans there hasn't been much but just to survive.

I'm fixing that now. But in order to continue I need to get an activity check as some of the players haven't posted in awhile and I want to make sure the work I do isn't for naught.

Re: character goals

Qahnaarin is built for intrigue and espionage. He would like to hook up with the intelligence service / secret police / special forces of the New Alexandria military and start participating/running operations. He will focus on economic disruption, civil unrest, and assassinations.

I know some other players asked about demographics and politics. I had similar questions. Any chance you have a mini gazetteer somewhere? I would love to know if you have any information for these questions:

New Alexandria is a metropolis sized city, so they naturally have many trading partners. Their primary trading partners are Loex, Tyria, Arthen, Brisia, Kepesk, and Thrae.

3. Who has political, religious, or military affiliations with New Alexandria?
Luthium and Maha both have military affiliations with New Alexandria.
Religious and Political they are independent and have no affiliations.

4. Are there any goods or staples that NA cannot produce and must rely on trading partners?
Yes, this can range greatly, but they import much of their wood usage as well as many valuable minerals mined by other cities and towns are primarily imported. Even though they have access to many minerals, it is simply not enough to support the city. There is also many kinds of foods and other staples that are imported.

5. Are there any groups of monstrous humanoids in the desert without settlements? Are there any powerful (but civilized) monsters in the desert?
Yes to both. The dessert is incredibly vast and much of it is still unexplored due to the hazard it presents.

NEW ALEXANDRIA
1. What religions are popular/influential in NA? What is the general alignment of the people?
The primary religion is Vulcan and its the dominant and only religion practiced. Many Tengu keep to their own about religious endeavors and embassies of other nations have their own mini shrines to their own gods out of courtesy. The general alignment of the people of New Alexandria is Lawful Neutral.

2. What are the divisions or branches of the NA military? Who are their leaders?
Currently their Military has three branches.
*The Garrison, which is their primary ground troop force and by far the largest. In non-war times they police the city. Demia Dulca is the current leader.
*The Rangers, are desert scouts that are reclusive and often times seen odd. Most of the contingent is out in the desert scouting and exploring. Firthuto Sulcara is their current leader.
*The Shards: This is their military make up of mage users. Militarized magic force which currently maintains the wards and barriers that protect the city. They can be deployed with The Garrison in times of war. Olthora Gineeva is their current leader.

3. Is NA the only Ilidari settlement, or are there others?
NA is currently the only Illidari settlement. In the past there were previous expenditures that were lost to time or the desert. With their multiple attempts at setting up new townships all ending in failures, they refocused and grew the city exponentially.

1. Think Sparta. Small population, but its a society where you must first serve in the military before being granted citizenship. So even the old would kick your ass and one of their soldiers are worth 10 of any others. This can vary from each similar places. And each could have specific things that give them an indefinite edge.

2. Incarnates are Arion's. They are easily mistaken as for humans as they are incredibly familiar to them.

Specifically, as originally written in Arion's bio, Incarnates were a pretty small part of her home city's population, rather than being the majority of its residents. XD The main idea was that they were somewhat more than human (hence the nearly cult-like situation there), but exactly why this was the case - divine blessings, wizardly experiments, something in the water, etc. - is left open-ended for Vin to use (or not) as he sees fit.

Also, their is a post edit, the leader of the battle mages is actually Octavian's mother.

I'm actually compiling a World Booklet for Kalinthros to detail the cities, known facts and such, this should help everyone get more cemented in the world. It's one part of fixing the whole agency issue. So thank you for baring with me.

I did it partly to give the party free reign to do whatever they wanted without feeling like my character is a dictator. Now that they are safe he won't be like he was on the trail.

FYI to everyone your buying power within the city is not restricted by your current wealth. As guests of the Lucarin household and freinds/party members with Octavian you have access to literally anything and everything magical of our level and below. Anything above that falls within the whims of the DM. This has been discussed with and approved by the DM. This spending power remains only so long as we adventure out of New Alexandria.

It will be something you either buy from the stalls with Lucarin money, have bought by requesting the Lucarin family directly or by Octavian's crafting.

Tell a tengu, a species noted for a love of shinies in all forms, that he has a huge a line of credit? Ooooo, bad idea, lol.

But seriously, I'd keep in in reason. A Handy Haversack--love those things so much, I really do-- a few ranger scrolls, perhaps a wand or two that Pazeek can use with UMD. Some minor wondrous items, maybe. Nothing outrageous or hugely expensive.

Anything big ticket, like weapon enhancements--which he'll damn well want at a +1 on his blades, we are getting to the point where a magic weapon is needful for melee types--or copious amounts of expendables like scrolls, he'll want to do for himself. I took that Crafting Mastery mythic ability for just that reason.

Honestly a bag that helps with storage and carrying weight would be lovely, since i am not too terribly strong. So a handy haversack or a bag o' holding is probably a decent want. As far as other items, I only have the shoddy chain we managed to refit for me during one of our acquisitions and a potentially? magic dagger that we used for making a pact among ourselves as proven ones. So if anyone has suggestions, I am most assuredly all ears. A healer's kit probably wouldn't be a bad idea so I can help treat mundane poisons and diseases for us.
