I need to update his online sheet since I've been playing the guy mostly on face to face games for some time. He's level 7.2 now. He's a blaster oracle mainly, works as debuffer as well. I have only one other character in tier, which is a level 10 bard frontliner. Just tell me if I need to swap characters.

![]() |

I’m excited to see what a “Blaster Oracle” can do, actually!
In reality, this seems a decently balanced group! Just about anyone can melee, with a couple specialists in it, just about everyone can heal, with a couple specialists. And with a Blaster Oracle!

I'm going to have to ask you to elaborate on this one: In which role?
Because that is hilarious.

Jules Winnfield, of course.
Just wait until Cedrick tries an intimidate check.

Definitely Peter Serafinowicz is the closest of the three. Warburton and Coleman are more goofy and dumb than I am going for, while Serafinowicz just seems like his head is so full of a desire for justice that there isn't room for anything else.

Player moniker: Patrick

I would like to think that I have modeled Eladrian after a mix of Tanis (DragonLance Chronicles) and perhaps a touch or Mel Gibson from Braveheart era. Think strong and quiet presence with a few well placed quips when you least expect them.

Checking in. I will get the requested info typed up later today.

Traits: defender of the society
Interesting, I thought this was one of the class-exclusive ones (Fighters, in this case) - is that not so? If the "of the Society" traits aren't bound to their nominally-affiliated classes, I've got a few characters who could stand to gain from the fact.

![]() |

I've been trying to check the Additional Resources page, but apparently it's jacked up right now.
Defender of the Society has two sources, the second being the Player's Guide for Shattered Star, which makes no reference at all to this being a Fighter only Trait. Strictly speaking, none of them are class limited in that source, although many are "Class Ability" limited.

![]() |

The Player's Guide for Shattered Star is not listed in the Additional Resources doc as a valid resource last I checked. It has been brought up and requested many times and not changed thus far.
Hero lab does not differentiate on those traits, unfortunately.

![]() |

If I think of anything I will pop up a suggestion.
As a side note, even though the dog is in the meeting it will not be along on the mission. I just included it because in typing up my Boons I remembered that I had it and decided to include it.

![]() |

Armor expert or blessed touch?

Armor expert or blessed touch?
I would second those suggestions

I'm DMing In Your Closet |

That's everybody, then!
Please bear with me; this game will probably be on the slower-paced side, for my sake.

For the Knowledge (history/local) check can a person aid with local while the first person is using history or vice versa?
How so we want to coordinate our research? Should we do the planning here or in the gameplay thread? How much, if any, bonus does the library give?

I'm pretty sure you'll have to aid using the same type of Knowledge - but if you can find me clear evidence to the contrary, I'll allow it.

As far as I can tell, the library just lets people make the checks untrained (at the cost of 1d4 hours' time, which might not matter otherwise to the adventure).

![]() |

Montgomery can lead the Knowledge check for History, or local if we need to go that way. He will gladly aid someone else for the Geography roll.

![]() |

Sorry for the quiet. I had to make an emergency trip out of town. I will get a post up in gameplay tonight after work.

I'm DMing In Your Closet |

I...missed that that was when I was supposed to start.
Probably just as well, given that this will be slower-paced because that's what I will likely be able to manage.

![]() |

My apologies for going silent. I ended up getting sick over the weekend and just blanked about the campaign. Very sorry. Just woke up and have to get to work, but I will post again later today.

![]() |

I made the assumption that you guys would let me know what spells you had, so I checked, and I’ve tried to not duplicate. It seemed everyone had Liberating Command, so I dropped it.
Someone had a bless wand? I’m happy to wield it and pop it off each combat if desired. Branson is intended to support. He can stand on the line and heal too if needed.

![]() |

Etu has a Bless wand, no real reason why not to send it off with Branson.

![]() |

Just an update still sick. I will try to keep up with posts but if I miss on a day and someone needs to bot me that is fine.

I'm DMing In Your Closet |

The map has been linked! Please put your avatars where you wish them to be in the room you see in Slide #2 (assuming the darned thing works).

![]() |

I am assuming we entered through the bottom of the map? This is where I placed my token. If this is incorrect, please place Eladrian's token near the entrance but in front of the group.

I'm DMing In Your Closet |

You are where you should be. How's that map treating you, though? It's suddenly not working for me. It keeps complaining about loading wrong or something, and no amount of reloading seems to work.

![]() |

It's loading fine for me.. then and now. Granted, you posted 2 hours ago and I have no idea what you might have fixed.. but its working now!

![]() |

So I went to the doctor and apparently they think I have very slight pneumonia, it took the radiologist looking at the x-rays to make the determination, this morning is the first time I feel like I can string more than a sentence or two together in a typed message, I was so exhausted. I'm going to take advantage of the energy this AM to put together a post for today. both this one and one in the gameplay thread. I hope no one minds that I have been posting about my health here I just felt that I owed everyone an explanation for my lack of posting consistently.
Montgomery would have done some shopping while still in town, as I didn't get it done at the time I will skip the exhaustive listing of stuff and the craft (alchemy) rolls while travelling. But it turns out that I have gotten this far with Monty without ever actually buying paper, pen, or ink aside from his formula book. So he is going to buy a couple of journals, 10 sheets of paper, 5 vials of ink, 3 inkpens, 10 pieces of charcoal, 10 bags of powder, sealing wax, 2 spring-loaded wrist sheaths, and 2 clockwork keys. Spending 1081.3 gold.
the clockwork key is a special magic item that has specific effects relating to constructs.
Everything else I will post in the gameplay thread.

I didn't fix diddly. It's STILL not working for me - bad enough for all the games in which I'm a player, but it makes it practically impossible to DM.
For that reason, there's going to be an unavoidable delay until I can get help.
We Are Currently Experiencing Technical Difficulties. Please Stand By.

I'm DMing In Your Closet |

*I*, at least, have managed to solve MY problem - turned out I just needed to clear my history/cookies!
I’m unable to edit the map document, although Ican see it. Can someone help me out and put me there please?
Do you know why not?
If not: Does anyone else have this problem?
