The Avalon Chronicles

Game Master lynora

This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

"It was a cantrip, I would have elbowed you in the ribs, but your a bit out of range," he looks pensive "well that and I actually might break one of your ribs like that.. Huh" he shakes his head "and besides I didn't even use fire, it's ok I can purchase the fabric for you, or maybe shirts enchanted to clean themselves, oh wow I could make some money off that idea... Wait I'm made of money... Wow never before has that thought ever bummed me out before"

Still kinda lost, why I don't I just roll Spellcraft and you can tell me if I make it or not?

Ace studies the pattern for a few moments, quickly folds the paper, then says "I think I already figured it out professor."

Using Better Than You to swap Dodge for Skill Focus(Spellcraft), then spending a Moment of Inspiration to add my Factotum level 1d20 + 57 ⇒ (8) + 57 = 65 Spellcraft

"We don't need them clean every time that's just the motif. After classes today I'm gonna get everybody together in a sim, blast some music and we're gonna chuck paint at each other until it looks cool enough. Then we stop and let it dry and bam concert outfits. As for buying fabrics I'm glad you offered. Not everyone takes jewelry as a payment. If you think your loaded you should let me take you down to the shops. I'd spend your feathers so fast we'd actually have to stop for them to grow back in."

Edited Raelle's last response to reflect the fact that the instructions are still totally murky. If this is a pattern thing she'd be crazy good at it. But I don't have the faintest clue what we're doing. Start over. Explain. Show example. It makes no sense.

I may not understand, but I'm pretty sure that's not possible if it works any of the several ways it theoretically could based on current info.

1d6 ⇒ 4
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (1) + 19 = 20
1d6 ⇒ 2
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (1) + 19 = 20

Strange though they are, Belyu follows the instructions and folds the paper into thirds before returning to her list.

Before some of the dc's he had a -. 1 and 2 were, as it seems, negative.

@Lynora: Paging Bradley, Mister Bradley.

Returned to Avalon, and after while, Anahita goes up to the walls and caressing them with finger tips, dashes along invoking the Infirmary.

There, she inquires for Bradley, who apparently has been released. With a turn, she runs out, does the same brush along the wall, invoking his name and follows the arrows.

Lang goes in the Home ec room (weather Ignace is there or not) and takes a seat and trys to practice the short leson Ignace gave him earlier.

He still struggles with it but this time the whole task has his attention.

everyone roll 1d6 for each difficulty class 1:-DC 16, 2: -DC 24, 3: DC 32 4: DC 10, 5: DC 20, 6: roll twice take highest result add 5

if you roll a six roll 2d6 and find the highest DC of the pair of numbers.. Add five

1d6 ⇒ 6

1d6 ⇒ 61d6 ⇒ 1
1= 16
16+5= 21

1d6 ⇒ 5
5= 20

Spellcraft DC 21 first check
Spellcraft DC 20 second check

I suck at this

Tyrrin's Response to Storm:

"I believe this is a great venture, Storm. I will work with you on this, with pleasure. However, I will say that I am not a psion, nor do I have any psychic potential. I know a great deal about psychics and their abilities, but as for the practical study, you will have to find someone else. You may ask me questions as you see fit, but for now, I have several duties and work to be done in the school. We should speak more to the planning of this endeavor after my responsibilities for the day are complete."

"And thank you for the compliment. I will seek to live up to it, Storm."

Anahita goes off in search of someone, and he bids her a good day, carrying their kill through the hallways towards the kitchens...

Roll two spellcraft checks. The DC is determined randomly. To find out the DC, roll one d6. Consult chart. Repeat for the second check.

1: DC 16
2: DC 24
3: DC 32
4: DC 10
5: DC 20
6: roll twice more (1d6, 1d6); look at the DCs that you would get from the chart for those results, take the higher one and add 5. This is the DC for the check. Addendum: Ignore 6s in this roll. Infinite loops suck.

It was clear from the mastery she had with the weapon that it had been intended to miss, although a few hairs float to the ground as a result of how closely it had missed him. She said something he didn't understand, but it sounded angry. And then she switched back to common.

"Monster! Even the lycans are not so bad! You have plenty of food to eat here, more than you can ever need! What reason did you have to cause the suffering and death of an animal?! You did not need it for food! Do you like hurting things? Or did you just want to feel powerful?" she said, spitting out the last word disdainfully. Initially, Anahita was gleeful in her approach, seeing that the arrows were guiding her to someplace other than the school itself. Once she reached the location with the ducks and the pond, she calmed and approached quietly, not wishing to disturb, while enjoying, the scenery and peaceful location.

Eventually, she would move up to Bradley's side and sit there, looking out and calmly enjoying the peace and quiet that the tranquil site provided.

At one point, quietly, she would say, "Hello Bradley. I bare good news, but more importantly, I am glad to see you are uninjured. You stopped a potentially terrible accident." With a smile looking up towards him, she regarded his face warmly upon the greeting.

Anahita was dressed in her usual clothing, clean, hair full of body and shine, smelling of fresh scents of nature, not too overwhelming, but a subtle touch.
