Roel slides near ori, constitutes himself into his humanoid form, and asks "so what's this all about?"
"Oh. Umm....just give me moment. Let me finish working with these girls and then I'll be more than happy to answer your questions."
"Okay, so advanced PE, Basic Arcana, Language Arts, Mathemagics, Beginning Bookkeeping, and History of Agartha. Does that sound acceptable?""Well, they list some applicable interests such as Parkour, Wizardry, Linguistics, Legal Studies, and Accounting." Rin answered with a bit of haste. "any other classes you feel appropriate to my talents, you may list.""i already have a prefilled registration form inside my shoulder bag." Rin answered, reaching into her messenger style bag and grabbing the forms. "Umbri's Uncle filled these out for me. including the medical forms and such." the Sylph asked, "Where do i turn in these forms?""Oh, well, that's good then. You can turn those in here. Do these forms also indicate your preferences for classes or do you need to figure out a schedule now?"

"Ok then." Dom fills out the form fairly hastily. After looking over a list of classes. "Hmm is there any waterbending classes? I see there swimming, but that's no where near what I would be looking to work on. Oh I think the advanced music classes will be a good fit for me."
"i haven't gotten my Schedule Yet." Umbri answered
"Alright, well, we can take care of that now. As soon as I know if..." checks paper "Rin is happy with that schedule we can work on one for you as well."
Umbri stepped up. "my uncle is a count who expects me to become his successor. so i would like Performance Arts, preferably theater or puppetry, language arts, negotiation, political studies, dollmaking, something to do with exercising the mind to discover new innovations, psychology, and legal studies. i'm not very athletic outside of dancing." the nymph gave her interests.
"Hmm. I'm in regular PE. Not really the most athletic person," she said with a shrug. "And Mathemagics, Alchemy, Basic Mechanics, Advanced Illusions, and Art. I'm still trying to figure out what I'm good at. I mean, other than illusions. I can do them and they're cool and all, but they don't really take a lot of my time and attention."
"So it looks like I have one class with each of you guys."
"you may have to help me with Alchemy, I've never gotten any formal instruction in that, just reading dusty old tomes,"
he looks down at his sheet "is that math Arithmancy or just regular math?"
"i am happy with the schedule." Rin answered.
"I can help who's next."Adon stands in line.
Adon steps up, and says "hi. I'm Adon. i don't really know what classes you have, but i am interested in fencing, training, magical theory, more training,the deconstruction and nature of spells, and even more training.
"Okay, slow down. And don't worry about the line. There are a lot of staff members here. You don't need to worry about holding up the line. History of Agartha is basically an orientation for off-worlders like you. Advanced History of Agartha is for the natives who want to learn about their past. We're still new at learning to deal with non-natives. Sorry about that. I'll try not to make so many assumptions. Sounds like I should sign you up for Nature Magic as well. You may need something familiar to help keep things from being too overwhelming.""PE is an abbreviation for physical education. It's a class where you do activities to increase physical fitness. Often there's some form of survival training included in it. Something about people are more likely to seriously run when something is chasing them. All students are required to take this class."
"That leaves you with three more classes you can take. Or just two if you prefer to leave yourself with a study period every day."
Anahita nods while listening to Ori, standing her ground and appearing thoughtful. "If this course teaches me of where I am and how to understand all the things common here, then, yes, History of Agartha. Regarding PE, I am extremely physical and healthy, but if this is a required course, very well." She seems accepting of that requirement based on her smile.
She takes a bit to think further then says, "What if I were to be summoned away suddenly, as before? Could I learn of these things, so I might return? Perhaps return to my home if desired?"
She actually seems to get a touch emotional atfer that thought taking a moment to compose herself. Hearing everyone else, and seeing an acid form of a human near her too, she backs up rather surprised and intrigued.
"This is all so alien to me. My apologies, perhaps if you could provide a list of courses? It may go faster knowing myself against that- otherwise, I have many uncertainties." She looks over at someone tech-y, stares as they pass, marvels, then looks back.
Anahita certainly looks like a deer, somewhat caught up in the headlights of all the marvels that the Academy is showing just in the hallway alone, not to mention being a stranger in a strange land.
Most importantly though, she does not appear fearful, merely over stimulated and eager to do the registration right for some odd reason, perhaps eagerness and pride.

"The music teacher for that is excellent. I know you'll learn a lot. And there isn't really an official waterbending class, but there is one other waterbender among the students, so I can put that in as an independent study and make sure we get things scheduled at the same time for you guys. There's a lake now so at least there's something to practice with." :)

Looking at your medical records here I don't think that will be a problem as long as you sign up for dance. Political studies....well, we don't have that exactly, but History of Warfare is close. And perhaps Advanced History of Agartha. Language Arts, of course. Sculpting...don't worry, you can do dollmaking in that. It's just written on the schedule as Sculpting. And...let's see...Theater Performance. Then you could do either Psychology or Basic Enchantment which covers a lot of the same ground."

"Yeah, no problem. Though I'm not all that experienced with alchemy either," she admitted. "I only had a couple of months at the end of the last term to get started with stuff. It's why I still have basically the same schedule."
"That's weird. I thought that stuff was covered in Mathemagics...maybe it's a more advanced section?"

I'd be happy to give you a copy, but I'm worried that you might get a bit overwhelmed with all of the new terms. If you want to learn about summoning I can sign you up for basic conjuration. I honestly don't know much about interplanar travel. I'm sorry. I'm a native of Agartha, and until last year this world was nearly completely cut off from the rest of the multiverse. We're still getting used to the idea of there being so much there out there. I have noticed that you seem pretty surprised to see technology. I guess they don't have that on your world? I can sign you up for basic mechanics if you want to learn more about it."

Not due to lack of effort, mind you, but because it is almost impossible for me. nonetheless, i like to learn as much as i can about magic and how it works. It's just how i was raised. sorry. Starlight winks out and back into being, this time on the other shoulder

She smiles at Anahita.
Anahita listens to Ori and nods saying, "I would like to learn more on the technology, it's use and purpose. Perhaps an independent study of such? This mechanics? I am able to conjure, though, not specific individuals, that might be fascinating to learn. Or travel, planar, yes! That would be fabulous. I might already be able to ask to do this though.. Uh, that is four courses, you said six or was it five? I would not mind learning how to sketch, perhaps to compliment my crafting skills. That's five- a less intense start. How does that sound?"

She grins at that thought then shuts her lips covering up her teeth, perhaps being polite.
Anahita looks in wonder at the 'teleporting' tiny person, then to her other shoulder, then says, "I believe I may have finally completed this step- but, thank you. A pleasure to meet you, Starlight."
She continues to study where Starlight goes invisible on her shoulder, assuming she stays, then asks, "What are you?" Obvious curiosity on her expressive face.

"No, no, you're fine. You might want to stop and remember to breathe now and then," he joked, "but I have four daughters. I know how to translate from too excited to breathe back to common."
"I think you'll find that theory is covered quite extensively in basic arcana. That's pretty much all it is. Advanced arcana gets into more practical studies. Not the best choice for a non-caster. You may find mathemagics most informative as well if you're looking for classes strictly on the theory of magic."
After orientation, Lysander spends some time introducing himself to the elementary students he'd be watching over.
Reed stands and heads to sign up for his classes.
Balamor followed the tide of students.
"I will start slowly, five classes, thank you."
She smiles happily at her decision looking at Ori. "What shall I do now?"
She occasionally glances about, especially if the invisible short creature still stands atop her cloth covering shoulder, observing whatever odd or new visual she can see.
... Not unlike a young child in a new candy or toy shop.
Reed waits patiently in line, thinking about the classes he could take.
"Wow David, taking nine classes three more than the rest of us, trying to compensate or something?" Ace says with a chuckle.
"I will start slowly, five classes, thank you."
She smiles happily at her decision looking at Ori. "What shall I do now?"
She occasionally glances about, especially if the invisible short creature still stands atop her cloth covering shoulder, observing whatever odd or new visual she can see.

"Here's a copy of your schedule. When you want to find your room touch the walls of the school and think about where you want to go and the arrows light up to show you the way. Don't feel bad about using the direction magic. The school tends to rearrange itself periodically. We all have to use the arrows."
"And now you can spend the rest of the day exploring the school and grounds and getting to know your fellow students," she said with a warm smile.
And then she turned to Roel.
"Okay, that's their turn out of the way. Now...I get the impression you know about as much about what's going on as Anahita. Maybe less. So to start, I'm Professor Reading. This is Avalon Academy. It's a school for extraordinary children. I'd uh....say you qualify."
"Wow David, taking nine classes three more than the rest of us, trying to compensate or something?" Ace says with a chuckle.
Tamina rolled her eyes.
"Should I just give you two a measuring stick and send you off to the restrooms to get this over with?" she said sarcastically.
"well..." "ummm....." "i do have a ruler i..." "ummm" "'borrowed' from the lost and found." Rin responded nervously, seemingly unaware of what is going on due to her anxiety.
"Perhaps they could learn to be accepting of their differences and cease this petty argument," the minotaur said.
"Such wisdom from a creature once frequently associated with drastic recklessness..." "but i agree their pointless rivalry should end." Umbri answered. "but considering how Reckless and Stubborn David and Ace are, i wonder if their rivalry is more than just a competition, but maybe a theatrical gesture of brotherly affection or even desired friendship." "it could even be a form of male on male affection." the half vampire nymph commented with a teasing smirk.
"That is also possible, I am Reed Plainsong."

Ace laughs at the commentary "Oh please. David is about as much competition for me as a frightened deer is to a skilled hunter. I just find it amusing that he feels it necessary to take several more classes than the rest of us new students, like he's trying to make up for lacking elsewhere."
"Perhaps you should learn to respect your fellow students or we'll be in opposition with each other."
"well, i'm flat as a pancake and scrawny as a twig, and i don't care about it." Umbri answered with a smirk. "if a small framed female such as myself can ignore any desires for compensation, i think David can also accept and ignore his own lacking." "instead of trying to collide with my small frame, i embraced it, accepted it, and augmented it's doll-like cuteness aspect. creating my own form of physical beauty." the nymph continued. "and Ace, instead of indulging in David's one sided rivalry, why don't you help him embrace his own strengths as a mentor figure of sorts? help him to grow into the best he can become. since you are so 'perfect'"
