A little annoyed that the two weren't returning to where they were standing, Ardiente decides to go through with his plan anyway. He streaks towards the lake, leaving a trail of fire in his wake. At the last moment, he levels out, skimming along the lake's surface sending steam billowing out behind him. When he reaches the other edge, he pulls up, shooting jets of flame skyward as he slowly lands, shifting into his humanoid form. No older than 16 by human standards, the daredevil is wearing red combat fatigues: a military uniform, and has short-cut red hair. He delivers a theatrical bow which seems to encompass everyone present.
"Have I found Avalon Academy?" he asks in his best stage voice.
One of Rosa servitors comes over
"yes you are and if your a student you just missed orientation, please make make your way in and see a member of staff you will then send you to detention, if your a teacher please enter and some one will come and see you, you are all ready on the security system, have a nice day.

Anahita looks at the teen aged stranger in his fancy outfit, with an overwhelming amount of red, and very tight clothing, with curiosity and bemusement.
Once Rosa's servitor form shows up, however, Anahita seems to focus on it intently, peering at the figure with some scrutiny.
She glances to Ehos briefly, then back to the interaction of teenager and construct, contemplatively.

You don't get detention for missing something you weren't here for. But you should ask for an info sheet to catch up on what you missed. Also you need to go inside the building. They're doing registration in the front hall."

Raelle glided to a spot near the new arrival and landed, shifting from bird to human form. She watched the new guy warily to see what his reaction would be to her unusual coloring.
Anahita gets up, from her garden sitting and strolls over to where Ardiente and others are potentially gathering. She greets the red dressed fellow with a simple raised hand, her black hair shifting around as she walks and finally stands somewhat nearby.
"If you need assistance, new comer, I was just as you-- new to this Academy. I would be happy to guide as needed."
She looks the teen over, glancing briefly at servitor of Rosa, then back at the youth standing near her, looking him over and noting his features and gear (if any).
As Raelle lands and shifts, she adds, "That was a remarkable display of .. flame, by the way. Very impressive. The both of you." She smiles contently, looking both of the shape shifting persons over.
If Dave should land, she considers him briefly as well, looking his feature and gear over.

Tyrrin was leaning against the wall just outside the exit to the detention simulator. She had a bone to pick with someone.
Exiting from the SIM room, Krisilanni was not in a good mood; not only did he copy a boring book into another one, but now he had that same book that he was supposed to read! All because he attempted a harmless prank! The hell was up with this school, anyway? Stone walls are fine, but making people silent isn't? Geez, they needed to make better rules or something.
Then, to top it all off, when he left the room, there was Tyrrin, the undead-defender herself, and she was still a woman; he guessed Albin still hadn't made his move. "What do you want?" he asked, his grumpy mood very evident in his tone of voice. He didn't want another chewing out about his behavior, which was really harmless.

Lang seems to just enjoy hanging out by the lake learning about the other students.

in any case, if he goes outside, Dave has True seeing, Arcane sight, Detect psionics blind sight, blind sense, sent and some stuff that enhances mundane vision

Ryckart arrives at the front of the line to see what classes he got placed in."Here you are," he said, handing Ryckart the enrollment form. "Just fill out that form while we talk about what sort of classes you want to take. What are your areas of interest?"
"Ah, well..." Ryckart says, handing the forms back once completed, "I am interested in studying matters arcane and psionic, particularly divinations. Furthermore, I am interested in the beings that exist on the fringes of known space and time."
Dom taking the stage (or table in this case) plays a up beat tune.

And the hot air returned, barely skipping a beat. "Ah, thank you Miss Waterbender, that is a relief. I apologize if my display caused you any trouble." Ardiente accompanies his apology with a flamboyant bow, accompanied by a small sweep of fire that follows his hand. Obivously it's to add to the effect of the bow.

He turns to Raelle, still playing up his arrival. "And pardon to both you and your companion 'Smokes. I had intended to greet you once I had landed. You'll have to pardon my rudeness, I was a bit frustrated. It was a perfect plan after all."
As Raelle lands and shifts, she adds, "That was a remarkable display of .. flame, by the way. Very impressive. The both of you." She smiles contently, looking both of the shape shifting persons over.
Ardiente was pleased. His entrance had certainly made a splash... was that the right word? Leastways, many people wanted to speak with him. "Just the first of many such displays I hope." he says, idly toying with a bit of flame, bouncing it from finger to finger as he speaks.
With another bow that somehow encompasses the gathered folk, and a short sweep of fire to accompany, Ardiente finally introduces himself. "My name is Ardiente Fuerte, a firebird. I have come to seek refuge in the walls of Avalon. I thank you all kindly for your very warm welcome. I believe I am missing your names."
"You are correct, I am from Golarion, a wondrous world filled with marvels and magics- a touch of what some call technology, but, only the fallen star near Riddleport was in any fashion similar to this. I but visited it briefly, looking on, before leaving. They claim it fell from the heavens beyond Golarion." She looks hopeful at the attempted comparison made.
When he points out the irrigation system and explains it's purpose, she considers it and then says, "Perhaps the Mek-an-ics class," she motions back towards the Academy building, vaguely, "will help me learn more of these things. So it is an aqueduct system, then. I see. And these small devices, the machinery, is too small to learn? How interesting."
With a glance back though, she thinks for a moment and says, "It is a shame you are not able to speak, your self imposed prison of silence, for how long now have you had this.. voice?"
Scribble, scribble. 'I'm told by some that there are machines so small that we cannot see them, flying about us right now. Though I imagine nothing is too small to learn: someone has to create it. If you wish to learn of those things, then you should definitely enroll in Mechanics. As to my voice: it has been 4 months since the evening. There is more to it, though it would be difficult and long to explain to someone who is not from Agartha. Perhaps' it is at this point in his writing when Ehos looks up and also notices the Firebirds and their antics. He scribles a single word and gets Anahita's attention again. 'Firebirds.' The pair go down to the lake together. Ehos is a little wary of the young firebird... his only other experience with one of them had NOT been pleasant.

Dave looks mildly irritated at his name for Raelle, but swallows it and introduces himself "and I am David D'Fowl I accept your apology, but find that around here such display are not altogether out of the ordinary" as if to illustrate he drops his illusion revealing him to be made of diamond and gold and spreads his golden wings as he allows himself to be completely wrapped in the silver-purple flame, then only 10 seconds later he dismisses the fire and re wraps himself in his illusion "though a coordinated flaming aerial stunt would still be stunning,"

Many of them are orphans, looking for somewhere were they can be accepted. The dhampirs here are similar. They must be judged on their own merits. Unless you'd prefer if I thought of all kitsune as irresponsible, mischievous tricksters?"

She looks back over at Ehos, to gauge his reaction to all the displays of abilities, then back again saying, "Welcome, Ardiente Fuerte. I am unsure if I can officially welcome you to these halls, as a newly enrolled student myself- however.." she goes quiet after that and appears thoughtful. Eventually, not much longer in thought, she adds, "There is an open enrollment or registration table, down the main hall. Merely touch the wall and think of ... the table, for guiding arrows." She gestures in the proper direction as well, looking helpful.
She smiles warmly at the offer, then looks around at the others before looking once more back to Ardiente.

"See this?" he said, after she was done. "I just had to copy this entire thing into a blank book. Thousand pages, small-ass print. You think I want to listen to you right now?" He didn't care if he sounded insensitive or any of the sort; he just wanted to get the day over with already. "How about you make yourself useful and just tell me what I may need to do right now. Surely we're supposed to do something after orientation. I wasn't told jack while in that room."

"none at all, hes just come in and out, says he knows the head master, that's how I got a place here. hes always like this, its in the blood hes says, he could be in another time stream for all I know. Any how, who was that with the fire over the lake, where did they go?"
She lights around over the heads of the others.
"oh ok, um depending on which fire you were referring to that was either Ardiente" he then points to him "or myself what color was the fire you saw"
Anahita looks back at Dave, as he bluntly asks who she is, saying, "A new arrival at this school-- similar to this man or bird of fire is, and apparently many others. Yourself?"
When she says the bird of fire thing, she also peers at Raelle, including her in the fire bird grouping.
"You strike me as an angel, given your appearance. Are you from the Great Beyond?"
She glances between the flittering Star Light's locations as she speaks, smiling happily. "Perhaps you mean the new arrival here, who was once a fire bird, it seems."
"sorry if I sounded rude, he introduced himself I told him my name and I was curious to your own, but as an act of courtesy and with the hope you forgive my earlier rudeness may I remedy the situation by formally introducing myself,"he grins at her and gives a winning smile "Hello my name is David D'Fowl, pleasure to meet you," as a response to the comment about the great beyond he looks slightly confused "you mean the outer planes? no I was born on the material planes, a planet by the name of Toril, my mom was born there I think, I don't remember"

I am Anahita bint Tariq bin Khalid al-Fulan, First Daughter of my House, from Golarion-- which is around another sun, not the one above us. May the wind be always at your back and the sun shine kindly upon you. You may rest assured, no rudeness was taken and I greatly appreciate your etiquette." Her long hair flows smoothly forward, then returns after the light bow that she gives as well.
She considers what he says about Outer Planes and Toril, then says in response, "I am unfamiliar with these names, or places. The Great Beyond is all that lies past the Prime Material, which I assume we are in, otherwise, I cannot answer that."
Oddly enough, she doesn't appear one bit spooked by the possibility of being completely lost in some alien location, or plane of existence.
"You appear to be of angel descent, yet- I witnessed you appearing as something you now are not, standing before me. Why do you have two faces?"

Dave smiles at her formal speech "ah yes the outer planes definitely qualify as the great beyond those planes are the primary destination of mortals after passing, and yes I am of angelic decent, one quarter peri on my mother's side, the other form you saw is my true form though not the form I was born with, I find that it is off putting so I wrap myself in illusatory magic so as not to unnerve others"
Dave ponders for a bit "I think I remember coming a cross the name of that planet in a star chart back on my ship if you want I can check it out later"
"If that is your proper and natural form, you should show it freely without restraint. You would be a bastion for others who may have similar worry of their own appearance, though guided by your act, they would perhaps find the courage within themselves. Only predators seek to hide their true natures, or prey that seek to turn the eyes of predators."
She gives a warm smile at that, clearly thinking it was somewhat wise and meaningful.
"I for one, prefer what is natural, and would urge you to not hide behind any potential illusions in this life."
She glances around, then says off to the side, perhaps to Star Light, "Your speed is astonishing, Star Light. I wonder what the world appears like in your eyes. Perhaps you will share that, one day."
