Ghalen Kiln |

They might notice he's dressed like an imperial inquisitor. No one here should know what the regalia meant he was told, so he hasn't bothered to hide it.
He takes note of the familiar clothing...Jergath? That's where that style is popular...lucky kid, to not be there.

Krays |

"Oh, hello. Ghalen is it? Jiminy will be fine, he is just fatigued. He is usually ok within a day or two."

Ephebe |

"Umm....yeah, I'm pretty sure the records would have been buried," she said, blushing, embarrassed at how much she'd revealed to strangers in her excitement.
"Uh, well, Gareth....I think the gems in this picture might be referring to worlds maybe....if they are you've found this one," she said, pointing to the amethyst.

Ghalen Kiln |

"Good. I'll look in on him in a few days. Thank you." he goes to find an empty table.

Agarthian Storyteller |

Hm, hadn't thought of that. Thanks!
The attitude of almost all the newcomers changes quickly when they see the regalia on Ghalen, and Tamara watches him as he leaves.
"I hope what you said about the barriers it true, Ephebe."
"Uh, well, Gareth....I think the gems in this picture might be referring to worlds maybe....if they are you've found this one," she said, pointing to the amethyst.
Gareth's eyes start to dart back and forth. It's almost like he's reading. When they stop they grow wide and he looks at the book in awe.
"Wow."

Ephebe |

"Wow."
"They are," she said confidently. "That's why he's still here. He's trying to figure out a way around them. He knows we'll take him back whenever he likes. My brother James seems to think that Ghalen isn't so bad in spite of his misguided allegiance to the Empire."
"What is it Gareth? What did you find out?"

Ghalen Kiln |

Ghalen gets to his table he looks over at the other table, smiles, and begins to eat.

Ephebe |

Ephebe wrote:"What is it Gareth? What did you find out?""I... I read into it. I don't what a lot of it meant and I know parts are missing, but..." He looks up at Ephebe with wide eyes. "How long have you been hiding?" He asks quietly.
"My grandmother was born on this world and she's more than six hundred years old. So....about eight hundred years I think. Well, not me personally. I'm only twenty-six. But in general," she whispered back.

Ephebe |

Ephebe uses telepathy to project an image of an amethyst dragon into Gareth's mind.
::Don't tell, please. It's a secret. For six more days. Then we'll tell the school. And then after that the rest of the world.::

Ephebe |

Ephebe wrote:::Don't tell, please. It's a secret. For six more days. Then we'll tell the school. And then after that the rest of the world.::Gareth nods and is quiet for a moment, then smiles.
"He said I could help if I wanted." :)
She smiled too. "I think you can be a big help if you want to be."
"If you get any more clues about where to find the next gem, please let me know. It's been a long time, even for us. I can hardly wait to get started looking for them." ^.^

Tyrrin Denulia |

"You might want to note that we aren't locked away anymore, and that one Ephebe Sunwake can inform you why 'falling into the hands' is a very bad thing. A genocidal Empire usually is."
"Go through the romance section if you don't want to be caught. The librarian is coming through non-fiction."
"Perhaps we should root out any remaining of these amethysts in Agartha, and offer them to the Empire. If there aren't that many, then perhaps trading the lives of few the good of many is a nessescary sacrifice. As for the librarian, I've done nothing wrong, so I don't see what you mean about 'being caught'. Once again I thank you for the information." With that, Tyrrin makes her way towards the exit by the way she had come in.

Alton Keme de Eil |

"Think we should warn them?" Alton asks the rat that leaps to his shoulder. It squeaks. "If you say so. I think we should, she's got no idea what revealing Agartha to the Empire would do."
He heads back to his library, his break over. He had to get back to work. There were books to shelve after all.

Ephebe |

Having polished off her food, Vai feels decidedly better. She was getting shaky there for a bit. She stands and busses her tray. "Ephebe, I'm gonna go check on James and Fi. Are you okay here?"
"Yeah, it's fine. I can handle the tour. You can go ahead, Vai."

Jeran Darkclaw |

Ori Reading wrote:Ori sends a paper cat down the corridor to make sure there aren't any other surprises waiting for them.An extremely over-sized spider leaps down from the ceiling and attacks the paper cat.
Bite:1d20+2
Damage:1d6
Jeran shifted into wolf form and headed into the hallway, charging at the spider while it was easily reached and biting it.
Charge and attack: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (16) + 26 = 42
Bite: 2d6 + 8 ⇒ (3, 6) + 8 = 17

Vai Sunwake |

Vai thanks Ephebe, gives a polite curtsy to the rest of the newcomers before trotting off to the infirmary.
If anyone wants to intercept Vai in the hallway, feel free. Of course, if no one wants to, she does have somewhere to go :)

Jeran Darkclaw |

Jeran continues forward through the hallway. hoping that he isn't being stupid and won't be sliced in half.

Jeran Darkclaw |

Jeran shifts back to human. "There's a whole lot of books down here, guys. I'm guessing the one you're looking for is one of them."

Fei, of the Sun Soul |

[Sip]
"Sifu?" Should we not have news by now about how the others fared against Khoda? I am becoming....concerned that we have heard nothing at all..." (o.O)

LOL, sorry, I didn't have a particular postcript in mind for this. Fei can simply say he's regained full physical form and be on his way. Don't let me delay progress. :-)

Keme Tokala |

Keme glanced at Percy as they left the lab. "You know, I have to say, I'm really shocked you haven't decked me yet. I was really expecting you to."

Ori Reading |

"Be glad your paper cat went before you." Oniero tells Ori as he waits for Khasser to search the room before going more than a few feet into it.
Khasser doesn't find any traps except for an old sigil he recognizes as a Symbol spell. It's been scratched out though, and there's no magic left in it.
"That is something to be thankful for, yes. Fear of spiders, small space, tendency to turn into giant hulking tree creature when distressed...awkward is such an inadequate word to descrtibe it," she quipped.

Ori Reading |

"Yes, but none of them are nice words to use when referring to a lady..."
"Any hint on whether the book is in here?"

Percival Sweetwater III |

Keme glanced at Percy as they left the lab. "You know, I have to say, I'm really shocked you haven't decked me yet. I was really expecting you to."
Percy arches a dubious eyebrow at the erstwhile Champion of Hope. "What, and wreck that pretty face? Fun as it might be, being able to look at you in an unmarred state is much more fun. Anyway, you might have my peace-love-n-cumulus-clouds friend, there, fooled, but I know you're not that big of a jerk, Keme, you just act like you are because it beats the alternative."

Keme blinked and then laughed. "Point to Percy. Damn. Between the lot of you, you're totally going to ruin my carefully crafted reputation. I need to work harder at being lazy and irritating."
"Oh, and once she spends some time in front of a mirror and starts freaking out, remind her highness that she looks just as hot this way as she did before," he added with a wink.

Percival Sweetwater III |

Percy rolls his eyes. "I'm not gonna be your flirt proxy, dreamboat, so I'll just pretend you said that to me, and go away pretending to be confused about if you mean 'hot' or 'hott', 'cos I know for me both apply. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go make sure my friend doesn't get herself killed, or blow up the gym" He pauses thoughtfully. "...or both." He then drops into the floor and begins earth gliding down through the various strata of the school towards the gym, hoping that by taking shortcuts he can beat Nasima there.

Keme Tokala |

Keme shakes his head and chuckles.
"Well with that I'm gonna go catch up on my sleep. I haven't had any non-sparkly-unicorn dream time in ages."

Vai Sunwake |

Vai enters the infirmary. Twice, she had woken up here. The first time was her first glimpse of freedom. It was no surprise that this room gave a sense of comfort to her. Spotting Fi dotting over Jiminy, Vai makes her way to her. "How is he?"

"Other than being out cold, he's fine. But I worry about him. Especially if he keeps this up. It can't be good for him to be regularly putting himself in a coma."

Ehos Denulia |

Anthony drains the last of his cocoa and looks to Ehos.
"So, ready to go talk to the Headmaster?"
Ehos nods soberly, and downs the last of his cocoa, which he had sneaked some cream liquer into. Most elves preferred wine, but wine was boring to Ehos. So much variety, to be stuck in one thing. The pair get up, make their way to the headmaster's office. Ehos frowns. His knocking would simply be silenced. Instead he decides to simply open the door and peer in.
