Spoilers.
:p
Though, it is a magic solution. Just a really easy and quite effective one.
So if you have to use tech, i can't do that.
Basically, i can make an amulet of fire resistance.explaining more would be giving too much away.
Got another look at the problem. I can only solve half of it.

We're actually in the cafe.
At least that's what I understand.
That's what I've been picturing at least.
Post incoming.

did the Pathfinder guys get this spell wrong
https://sites.google.com/site/pathfinderogc/magic/all-spells/h/heavy-water
heavy?? err no
your more buoyant in heavy-water [More saline] and so can swim faster with more less work.
No what they are talking about in the spell is "viscosity"
So it should be called "viscous water" not "heavy-water"
wholly batmans pants what where they thinking!!

Heavy water, formally called deuterium oxide or 2H2O or D2O, is a form of water that contains a larger than normal amount of the hydrogen isotope deuterium, (also known as heavy hydrogen, which can be symbolized as 2H or D) rather than the common hydrogen-1 isotope (called protium, symbolized as 1H) that makes up most of the hydrogen in normal water.
heavy water used in CANDU reactors is 99.75% enriched by hydrogen atom-fraction, meaning that 99.75% of the hydrogen atoms are of the heavy type. In comparison, in ordinary water, which is the "ordinary water" used for a deuterium standard on Earth, there are only about 156 deuterium atoms per million hydrogen atoms.
Heavy water was first produced in 1932, a few months after the discovery of deuterium.[3] With the discovery of nuclear fission in late 1938, and the need for a neutron moderator that captured few neutrons, heavy water became a component of early nuclear energy research. Since then, heavy water has been an essential component in some types of reactors, both those that generate power and those designed to produce isotopes for nuclear weapons. These heavy water reactors have the advantage of being able to run on natural uranium without using graphite moderators that can pose radiological[4] and dust explosion[5] hazards in the decommissioning phase. Most modern reactors use enriched uranium with normal "light water" (H2O) as the moderator.

Also, I do apologize, but I'm running quite a bit behind. I came down with a cold on Friday and it's put me seriously behind on my homework. I have two papers due tomorrow and I've not started on either of them. And I'm in class all afternoon. I'll try and catch up on the thread as I can, but I can't really make any promises at the moment.

Finally saw Frozen.
It was very very good, but I'm not sure it edged out Tangled on my recent favourites list.
Let it Go though.... dear lord, that's so applicable to Avalon it's not even funny. (And is totally Pyry's theme song. ;P )
See here.

Lyn get better, If I could I could have my son do some of those paper for you, He is the master of getting an A on essays done the day before (or the morning of) a due date
lol. That would be awesome...if only I didn't have that pesky unique narrative voice. I write an essay like it's a conversation, and I'm pretty sure my prof would notice if I suddenly turned in something that read like an essay. :P

i do the same thing, I'd offer to help, but I'm not particularially skilled at last minute papers (despite practice) and I have two papers due Wednesday (one I haven't started, one almost done) one due today (done-ish)

I do know that Mel and Tybs were working on introducing that song as a part of our song list.
Ya. It can have a lot of different meanings. A couple of which apply to Tybalt. No spoilers, but I did have plans to use it. :/
| Damiani |
Pretty sure Mel doesn't have any magic/psionic items for Analyze Dewomer to detect and analyse.
Unless of course the screwdriver is psionic. That he would know about.
Meant to follow up on this, Tybalt, since it's your ability.
Does this mean your Analyze Dewomer ability only works on items, or, auras?
Can you provide a link to the write up on the Pathfinder site? I'm asking for how to better provide you descriptions with my PCs, NPCs and .. well, any settings you have Tybalt in that I'm running or planning to run.
Cheers.

Tybalt's ability is as Analyze Dweomer.
It's passive and works with anything in a reasonable distance.(so not like standing on a mountain and being like "that guy down there in his house is wearing mage armor." But he'd know what any given person in a room has going on.
It's constant, but he respects privacy, so if met with resistance, he doesn't push the will save on anyone.
It works on items as well as people with active spells(the not pushing will save also applies to people unless he is intentionally trying to figure out if they have active magic.)
Up until now we reffered to it as items because I must have skimmed over that line at the end that says it works on people too. XD
Thanks for caring. :)

Ah ha, so there is a Will Save component? Okay.

Thank Dami, I can always count on you to point out my flaws...
Like I don't have enough of others doing that for me...
[rant]
I didn't point out a flaw, I spoke my observation. If you feel it's a flaw, that's all you.
I've not called you flawed at all, just one of the persons that is 'unable to keep track of things they are involved in'. You are not the only one who appears to be doing this. :)
Naturally-- I'm sure they have specific reasons for the 'why', as you most likely do. I'm not a mind reader in that. Good or bad, not my place to judge, but I'd wish folks would be more considerate for folks that are eager to post and are waiting. Like any good relationship. :)
Please don't be negative about what is someone else's perception-- and I didn't say flaw.
[/rant]
Cheers.

Sorry I was joking with you, man I really have got to stop being funny.
Ok from now on serious only, No more joke from me...

Not a single smiley face or other indication -- helps a bunch. I do that now after numerous suggestions. Try it.
Cheers.

That's odd, had something else added to this, but didn't take.
Use more smiley faces, please. As suggested, and mentioned, text on here doesn't convey humor easily.

its about having a simple set of pages to look at and deal with,
I want them to know it me.
I linked this song as well a couple weeks back. :)
Of Monsters and Men is totally awesome music. Definitely up there for my favourite band right now, but I'm also really enjoying The Arcade Fire's new album, and Cage the Elephant's new album as well.
Those who say that music is in decline these days are just not listening to the right music. :)
DB3: Hah, I'm glad we had the same thought re: Pyry and Let it Go. ;)
