Arthur Barren

Hmm, the counter grid needs filled,
counter ; magic option, tech option
magic : Dispel, ???
tech: ???, Whatever Mr Barren doesSo two question mark spots to fill. Hmm, Vickory uses magic in a tech-like fashion so she just might try to develop some anti-tech magic once she gets a better view of what tech is.
Machine Empathy (Ex): The generator is capable of amazing feats of control when working with mechanical objects and creatures. The character may attempt to cause a piece of machinery or a construct be more amiable to him and function in a way that he chooses, even if the target is unintelligent. By laying his hands upon a machine (which is defined by anything with more than three moving parts or the construct type), he may attempt to influence it as if he were making a Diplomacy check, but instead uses his Knowledge (engineering) instead. The more helpful he makes the machine to him, the more he can manipulate it with his mind, and harmful things tend to jam up or become rendered useless.

1) I'm sorry I almost started any arguments, I was only curious... :(
2) looks Like Mel will be loosing her Sonic to Arthur after he is done becomeing its best buddy, it won't want to work for Mel anymore...
2a) can't be Mel's boyfriend, so just become a boyfriend to her tools?
BTW I am only joking on this (seems I have to specify jokes as I cannot seem to convey them very well).

??? for magic = Saving throw
??? for tech = EMPThere... drop the argument
First, didn't know this was an argument. I must be unaware of some related argument.
Second, It is an interesting question, how exactly does magic and tech interact? Can they ever interact? If so, how?
There are four categories,
Technological, counter-tech: EMP type effects
Technological, counter-magic: ???
Magical, counter-magic: Dispel & Antimagic
Magical, counter-tech: ???
Additionally,
Magical protection from magic, ??? (well dispel is partially selective, but the caster can't control the selection)
Magical, protection from tech, ???
Technological protection from magic, ???
Technological, protection from tech, (EMP shielding)
Protection is different as it protects a magical or tech effect from other effects without disrupting the protected effect, Where as the counter abilities above affect a general area rather then work selectively and/or as a shield/barrier.

Magical Countermagic: Antimagic shell or Similar spell (including Dispel)
Magical Countertech: Disintegrate, or various shaping spells, electrical spells(?)Technological Countermagic: Various enviromental protections: (Forcefields, Temperature regulation suits) or biological repairing tech
Technological Countertech: EMPs, scramblers, codebreakers

On this subject, I will simply say this: Magic and tech do not exist independently of one another.
You can devise spells that affect tech. Hell, you could have a spell that mimics EMP bursts, for example, and tech which could in theory disrupt magical fields. I can't see any reason why these things couldn't exist.

That's still yet to be determined too. XD
I'm a construct (a non magical one at that) so it's still up in the air, leaning towards no.
It seems to be the general consensus of people that I don't count as a person.(at least in character)
We that I'm capable of individual thought, desire and original creation, any of which are overrided by Arthur's say so.(unless of course it puts Arthur at obvious risk)

Not sure. He might have a room to himself. Although if Adon doesn't have a roommate then Kodjack would be an ideal choice to room with Adon. Put the two folks who mess up magic together in one place. :)
And Kodjack's ability does not affect the school itself. It's an Artifact with a capital A, and a very, very major one at that, so it continues to work just fine in spite of him.
Well, I'm fine with Kodjack being roomed with Adon, if he's alright with it and there's no conflict with the roommate that may or may not still be there.
Alright, so that wouldn't make things screw up in any way, but would the magic there still sustain him in any way? I realize it's from that Artifact with a capital A, but just wondering if he'd leech off at least a fraction of the magic (at least while in the room) without causing anything to malfunction or fade. We probably already went over this before, but forgive me if I've forgotten a few things while I've been preoccupied with my mother. >.<

Sorry for being a bit snippy earlier. I'm feeling a bit out of sorts today and just had a moment where I completely lost patience with what feels to me like altogether too much nit-picking of late. (Yes, GMs are people too...sometimes we get grumpy and have bad days just like everyone else.)
So, general reminder: RULES LIGHT. Please don't get so hung up on the details.
As far as tech/magic go, as I said, they are equivalent but not transparent (unlike psionics which is transparent with magic). And FCD had the right of it. Magic and tech can effect each other.

OC, Kodjack won't get sustenance from the building itself, but he'll be around so many spellcasters and magic items on a regular basis that he'll gain sustenance from them no problem.
As for the rooming situation, sometimes the school rearranges rooms to its own liking. If it decided that Balamor was better off in a single room and Adon and Kodjack should share it can actually split up the rooms when everyone is out and voila, new rooming arrangement. This is one way to handle it when someone's roommate vanishes because a player withdrew from the game.

I agree with Lyn. :)
I think the major thing people are getting snagged on is the fact that Pathfinder doesn't have anything in it regarding magic and technology together. They have systems for both, but not the two of them together, so without set guidelines, we have to make and speculate our own rules. That can often lead to arguments/ "loud conversation." ;)
Sorry you're having a bad day, btw. :(

Thanks, Magic. I'm just cranky from lack of sleep. Time change is not agreeing with me as usual. And I've stayed up late the last couple of nights. Sunday night to fix my husband's computer(it had malware and broken drivers) and last night I had to stay up to help him pack since he's once again off for the week for yet another work trip. The new job means lots of travel. Which is mostly okay, but also means more mom duty for me since there's nobody around to help out with driving the kidlet to practices and stuff like that. We'll adjust to the new schedule soon enough, but the process can be a bit frazzling.

There are spells that effect electronics. You just have to get them from d20 modern or a few other ones I have seen.

Hey folks - Belsayv obviously isn't very well defined and you're free to make things up about it as you go along regarding the cities and such, but there are a few important notes regarding it that really shouldn't change (to keep continuity).
-Belsayv is typical fantasy-setting planet. It is populated by all the normal fantasy types, as well as any magical beasts and so on you might expect to find in any other full 'campaign setting' planet.
-Belsayv was in fact surveyed by the Empire to become a member world, but it's distance from the core Empire worlds and lack of anything that made it stand out means that it is low-priority, and so it has not yet been folded into the Empire proper.
-The tech/magic level here is roughly equivalent to Golarion, and I imagine if any Imperial level tech ever did crash, it would be akin to Numeria in that setting (technic league, etc).
-Belsayv also has dragons of it's own, but it's unknown whether or not those Dragons have ever made contract with the Empire. (Aegythrax was Imperial.)
-At very least they have Pelor as a deity, not sure what Temple Tryko'Sam has spotted but it could be non-greyhawk if you wish Dami.

Yes but I don't think there is green/orange color blindness, seeing as orange isn't a color of light, it's the combination of green blue and red in a range of ratioes,
Green and red are two wavelength of light, they along with blue are the primary colors of light (fun fact dogs don't see in black and white, they can see the presence or absence of the color blue)
