The Avalon Chronicles

Game Master lynora

This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

Time for the last Band comp this year.
Back in bout an hour. Maybe less.
I have something better than that, Cap.
Link it later.

Male Human Gestalt: Binder 16, Wizard (Enchanter) 6

I have thought of a convaluted explaination for how both can be true...

Since vestiges exist outside space and time...

Haaginti I bind is after haaginti dies...

And haaginti that you were taught by is the same...

:)

It does make sense though....

Would work for me, but he quit talking on that, in case you didn't notice.

Makes enough sense, i suppose.

(What i meant wa is was tearing a break from the forms. I was getting angry for no reason.

Purr purr "bleek"

Its not like I do much

How can I not understand you? I cast tongues, I can understand all languages...I think you broke my brain.

In the words of the 2e draconomicon

Sometimes a roar is just a roar

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

Note, tounges only let's you understand languages, not animals.

However, Sarah, someone who understands all animals, doesn't understand him.

I think i know why-

He isn't saying /anything/.

Because bleek means nothing....

Imagine an animal that communicates without words; maybe like bees through dance and scent... or chameleons through color and stance or rabbits through ear and hand movements...

What's so hard to understand?

Speak with animals understands all animals, and all communication from them, even if they /can't/ make noise. So, Sarah's thing /should/ work on you.

comprehend languages works on drow sign, for example.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

You can ask questions of and receive answers from animals, but the spell doesn't make them any more friendly than normal. Wary and cunning animals are likely to be terse and evasive, while the more stupid ones make inane comments. If an animal is friendly toward you, it may do some favor or service for you.

So even if they can't speak, you can still receive an answer.

Now imagine a species that has gone a step farther... from nonverbal to beyond... no language at all...

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

Also, there is a way to change true form i found, using three spells.

Flesh to stone-> Shape stone-> stone to flesh

However, there can be compicaons with this, as a genetic structure change isn't really possible here.

So? You don't need a language. Unless you have int -, she can talk to you. You understand her language, and you can respond to her in a way she will automatically understand, even if you do /nothing/. And she compels animals to be nice to her, so you would respond.

(When i say she, i mean Sarah.)

I understand her. And I'm nice to her.... I'm meeting the qualifications.

Sarah, are you outraged by the fact that there is an animal in the multiverse that doesn't respond to you in a comprehensable way?

I suppose you're right. Just know that with speak with animal, you /can/ be understood.

That, and I'm rambling about technicality....

But hay, it's not like you don't ramble like this either.

I believe those are 'vermin' not animals, being typically a swarm.

I've been doing this since I was 3.
I'm fine. When he said it the first time, I thought he meant "bleak" as in boring.

male human monk 16

a note for Midori about Simba...

Simba has a 14 INT and fully understands both Common and Sylvan, but he cannot speak.

he also has telepathic communication with all animals (and Sara)

this is an FYI for anyone associated with Lang and Simba.

Male Human Gestalt Inquisitor/Dragon Knight 16

Did I miss a post from Ryo or Ryston?

So, human intelligence, or better, and telepathic, giant owl?

Giant Owl entry from the pathfinder SRD. I added Common since these owls were raised since hatched with humans.

Hey, don't deny the Paladin type the right to stride ahead without checking in with the team!

I bet in his day, he went up both hills to get the evil, IN THE SNOW!!!

:grins:

Mostly kidding and also sharing a concern.

I'm waiting on others before posting again, so I'm not doing multiple round actions at once with Anahita, in case.
