Real cloned 'men' of the Imperium of Man don't use ranged weapons-- that's for sissy Eldar.
And other ...non-Human targets to trace their energy beams or projectiles back too.

I know about that. I'm trying to keep my story consistent. I just need to know if they had detects up then.
It makes sense to me because I know what's going on. Not so much if you don't have all the details.
The only 'detect' my PC had was the taste of something foul, when he sipped it. Then he went ape s+&@, or similar term.

Ace has 16 ranks in most of his skills. He just has a TON of skills, cuz of his high Int. There are a few that he has less than the full 16 however, like Heal, and maybe Handle Animal.
He also has the normal 8 feats for being 16th level, plus an additional two bonus feats.
Sil is the same, normal amount of skills and feats. One from Chameleon, and another from the special ability Better Than You.
I will say that when I was building Ace, I did ask Lyn if I had to limit myself to just the 8 feats, or if I could go a little beyond in case there were some that I really, really felt I needed for the build. She said I could, but not by much.(No actual number)
However, it ended up not being necessary as he has other ways to shift feats around, which might have come about after I asked her that question.

Damiani |

How many skill points are you folks clocking on your Gestalted chars, and Feats?
Kind of curious if I did my math wrong, looking to compare with others in play, or is that part of rules light as well?
Okay, so maybe 'clocking' was a bit abstract and unclear. Terribly sorry.
Can you fine folks give me totals, or there abouts for skills and feats?
My math coincides with the 'how' expressed, but I'm curious what some totals are in skills and feats.
Thanks!

Uh...question...what about the Bolter, Heavy Bolter, or the Lascannon?

Lovely weapons of destruction. I was trying to make a joke-- notice the :D up above?
It's a game focused on minatures, for heck's sake. The fiction they made for the setting is excellent, but in the end, you're buying figurines (typically) to paint and fight one another with!
Not that I didn't go through that phase. It was amusing for a really, short bit of time for me.

Hey, Lyere.
While you're cranking out potential magical items at the rate of 1 per 10 minutes or so IC, you should consider opening up a shop, cause being a student in some long and far away school living in obscurity? Not your calling at all.
Consider the MOOLA (bling, baby! MAD CA$H!!!) you could be making at your crafting speedz coupled with the ease of finding these quasi-rare materials!
;) :D :P
ps: I love caffeine.

That'd be a good idea, but I'd have to train people how to not lop their own hands off
maybe include a manual called 'Chainswords for Dummies' >:D

I HAVE A MOTIVATION POSTER OF THAT ON MY WALL RIGHT NOW! I DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS FROM THAT.
I LOVE ALL CAPS.

I think that was Dami speak for saying, " you made that kind of unrealistically fast."
;)Although, it isn't magic yet and he is making it from bigger premade pieces.
Not super duper unrealistic yet.
You couldn't make it quite that fast, realistically. ;)

Fate-seer |

True, I couldn't make it from scratch that fast, but most of the stuff was pre-made, all that really needed to be made was the blade, hilt, and guard. which would've taken some time. However, Carl's will be made from scratch.
To become familiar with a weapon, one needs to forge it with their own hands

To the earlier discussion...
DR is what living creatures have.
Hardness is what objects have.
DR is explained in the CRB as the creatures ability to instantly heal/ignore some damage, up to it's rating.
Hardness is a number you must exceed to damage an object on each hit.
While they seem similar, they are not.

When we last saw Vai's birth parents:
Belsayv
"She's alive?" Elsa looked completely shocked at the news Avery had delivered. The long blonde hair of the elf woman shimmered in the early evening light. Avery's bearded face looks sad. "Yes... but she doesn't want to have anything to do with us. She..." he choked, emotion overtaking him, and quivered slightly, remembering the rage and hate his daughter had thrown at him. She had wings too. Horrible leathery wings. "She's not the same. She tried to attack me, Elsa. She tried to kill me. Our sweet baby girl." He looked broken-hearted, his head falling into his hands, cupping his face as the tears began to flow.
Elsa took all this in, trying to keep it together. There was reason to hope again. Reason to believe that maybe someday, their little girl might forgive them and come back to them. "Dear." she said quietly to her husband, putting a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "It must be fate that this happened today. The Gods are trying to tell us something. Maybe we just have to be patient. She's alive, that's all that matters right now."
It had to be fate, after all, that Vai had returned here on this exact day... the 2 year anniversary of the day they had lost her. Her 18th birthday.
The husband and wife hug, unable to stop the tears any long. Tears of hope.
Just so everyone knows - I'll get this particular adventure under way shortly, but folks have a few loose ends to tie up first (Anahita is chasing the ghost girl, and Phaeze is chatting with Ryleh). No need to rush to get these scenes done, we're all patient folks. :)

So if it's something happening soon, I don't think I'll be able to be around for it.

I do not posess the organic system known as "pores" thus your analogy is flawed.

Ms. Gamze |

Remember that request I made for adding a new minor character? Well, realizing those who'd have the say to actually nix Gamze are pretty busy, I figured I'd just make her profile in the meantime and see what folk thought. I'm extremely tired right now, so I can only hope the stuff's legible.

Ms. Gamze |

The logic is that a remedial magic teacher would largely only teach theory and minor spells. No need for a remedial magic teacher to throw fireballs, after all. But yeah, Gamze may have exaggerated her prowess a bit to get the job.
And wow, ninja'd by Death Keeper. They are un-fun, and we're happy to have you. You alright?

![]() |

Even still,
A lvl 6 wizard/duskblade would be very remedial compared to the average student let alone the average teacher
This is the abjuration teacher by comparison
That said, play what you will have fun with, just be aware that some students will be able to tell at a glance that you can only cast 1st lvl spells

Yeah... airbags did their job.
:)
I had got out, shut the trunk, and got back in, two friends put seatbelts on, less than two minutes before we crashed... so happy the trunk was ajar

Ms. Gamze |

And if anybody has a character with arcane sight cast on themselves (most people just stick to true seeing and similar effects), Gamze will do her best to avoid them. Failing that, she will claim she's already cast most of her spells. Failing that, she will claim her dog ate her spellbook and she hasn't replaced it yet. Failing that, she will launch a campaign to utterly destroy that character's credibility. Failing that, she will probably be fired, so I don't need to think of any more contingencies. :)

David.De'Foul |

this character has it permananced
More people are able to cast arcane sight, concidering it's lower leveled
Those are some amusing contengencies
If zix hears contengency number two he will incist on giving the character one of his spares
I also want to point out that the headmaster is a high seer and a divination specialist

The availability of divination magic is one of my big pet peeves about high level play. As pointed out by others, it makes it very difficult to pull off certain secrets. It's why I think low-level play is much more fun--hence my playing characters like Vakkler. Sadly, that does mean my guys're even more vulnerable to divinations. Just something I have to accept, though it does bar certain character options.
