So far all the mechs are single pilot, like a Gundam, afaik, anyway.
Kinda wishing they were more like veritechs/valkyries atm... course that could be because I just re-watched Macross Plus the other night. Those planes are sick.

Well, they weren't on account of the mechs being single pilot gundam style, although with some definite influence from Pacific Rim....but now I'm not sure I can avoid the temptation....it would just be so awesome.... ^.^

Speaking of giant robots....the new DreamWorks reboot of Voltron is nothing short of amazing. Totally worth grabbing Netflix to binge watch it! :D

Strangely, the only kind of mecha I ever liked at all is mechwarrior and possibly appleseed.

The idea of "I'm in space so my vehicle needs to be designed for land" or "land vehicles just can't be big enough" have just never sat right with me.

Personally, I go for neural interface starfighters, and more practically sized mechs that can utilize terrain features and interact with infantry.

Actually, I almost always prefer practical designs for anything.

Just me I guess.

Oh Repp. He was simultaneously very fun to play but also extremely creepy. You should see some of the mails Lyn and I exchanged on him. Both of us got pretty creeped out by his whole plot line a few times.

Yeah, writing for a misogynistic serial killer who gets off on the emotional pain of his victims...not fun. *shudder* Pretty much left me wanting to scrub out my brain after.

I know that feeling. Dark/Evil characters are... yeah.

Nah, Repp's offness was a different sort. You gotta look at who had the bad reaction to him. Keme, Tryko'Sam, and Tamrin are all pretty hypersensitive to that sort of thing because of their backgrounds. And even though they all found something off about him, not one of them pegged him as the killer. He was that good at hiding his true nature. I mean, it's like you see in the news stories. Most of the time you get "He was always so quiet," "He seemed so nice," "I never would have guessed." That's why serial killers are so hard to catch. They blend in. Most of Repp's creepiness comes from knowing what he was actually doing and thinking during those scenes when he was acting so nice.

Seriously, I need so much brain bleach....

Sorry for my silence today. I have a really nasty stomach flu. Sitting up is hard. Stringing words together is harder. I've pretty much slept most of the day, and I think I need another nap. If I feel better after the Tylenol kicks in, I might be able to get some posts up later tonight, but in all likelihood it will be tomorrow before I can language again.

I mean, it's in English dub and the book was basically a Legend of Zelda, and I know the book, so all of the thinly veiled surprises don't mean anything, so... Well, it's gonna suck, but I'm gonna watch it anyways.

Well, I managed to catch up on PMs for now, but now I have to make dinner so I can pick at it and pretend to eat. Gorram flu. :/
