I totally get that and I don't blame you one bit for being frustrated. This plot went off the rails a while ago, and having multiple people running it certainly hasn't helped that. This latest wrench in the works was actually designed to speed up the resolution, believe it or not. I am trying to help. The way I see it, there are two ways to quickly wrap up this storyline.
Option A. You stick with the trap plan. Hey, it's a good plan, and it actually has a better chance without Illy. There are three girls in the room with Ace who all meet the criteria that they know the murderer uses better than Illy did. Convince Tami, Tyrrin, or Alys to take her place and proceed as planned.
Option B. Ace decides to throw caution to the wind and makes telepathic contact with the unconscious Ginni. She might be pissed about it later, but he can follow the link between Ginni and the murderer and finally catch the bastard.
Whichever option you choose, I expect this story to be resolved in short order. We are not dragging this out one bit more.
Hmm....This could add an interesting twist to something I had planned for the evening of this game day (which isn't intended to slow anything down, just to run parallel to the main investigation).
I'll have to keep an eye out for what option is chosen. ;)

Fun fact, this is basically what my sisters and I did to each other. We don't see each other often, but when we do the little ones get crazy spoiled because we're all getting back at each other for childhood infractions that have never been forgotten. :P

So, back on topic.
So far we have Lord Foul taking over playing Vai, Monkeygod taking over playing Ardiente. I think Icehawk was going to take over playing Tyrrin, but I wasn't for sure if that was confirmed. And we still need someone to take over playing Ehos.
Also, just waiting on Monkeygod to move forward the ending to the murderer storyline.

Regarding the above-- I'll respectfully decline the offer. I've a long standing habit of not ever wanting to pick up another person's PC, unless I'm in charge of the universe, i.e. GMing. Then it's more of a matter of ...phasing 'em out, to make sure the spot light's on the remaining players.
Plus, he's/she's in a relationship -- I'd rather role play the build up of such, versus drop into it. Picky, I are.
Best of luck with that, however.

I was waiting for Alys to reply. I could have posted before her, but it was better to wait. Now I just need to get to my laptop. Lol. Soon, hopefully.

Lol. Not if Phaezeriel does not want Fei to rearrange his organs. Over 14 square kilometers...

Hah.
I guess my occ comment was not 'quite' clear -- especially following up after my in-game post with Tryko'Sam walking back to the lab with Andromeda.
I'll update as if he walked along after dropping them off given the flurry of posts since.
Heh.
Okay. I'm still confused. Tryko'Sam took Andromeda to the SIM room. I thought he went inside, but you said no, he went to do the next thing, so I went with that. The only other thing as far as I knew was fetching parts from Aananda's lab (aka the Advanced Mechanics Classroom), which he has security clearance for, so it made sense anyways. Sorry if I misunderstood.

No worries-- I re-read my OOC comments and was equally confused. Then I wrote the above, because I ... dunno, felt the urge.
All good, rolling with the scene as set by the numerous posts prior. :) I'm ignoring the OOC.

Hey now, I think you're confusing Fei with Vai. She's the jealous one.
[drippingsarcasm]Yay draconic traits...[/drippingsarcasm] ;P
(Besides...at this point, Phaeze would probably get his blessing.)

Hey Kryz. Sorry for not addressing Gavin much in the pool scene. That's my fault and I should be focusing more on involving everyone in the scene, but it's his turn in rotation if you want to say or do anything.
No problems I didn't want to monopolize the scene either and was waiting for you :)

So a supernatural ability stops functioning in an anti magic zone, but isn't subject to dispel magic. Disjunction sort of sits at the intersection of the two and I am just not sure if it banishes the shield or not.
Aron's disjunction has dispelled an SU effect before, for a few minutes, but the actual disjunction spell doesn't touch them.
But I figure it's mostly case by case with SU stuff, whatever makes for a better story.
Adon just doesn't know if it'll work, so he's trying.
I'd imagine it might just pop the force feild, but do nothing to prevent it from returning.

Makes sense. Well, after reading through disjunction again, it seems to work more on stuff that's farther out from the person, so I'm gonna let it affect the bubble, but it might not work on a small shield that she's actually holding.
Mostly trying to remember to be consistent with it since when I have a character with a 'superpower' like Sadie's shields or Dara's magnetic powers, or Asha's ability to walk through walls, I just write it up as a supernatural ability. So it's likely to come up again. :)| "Ace" |
Crap.
I wanted to quote Keme's last reply, but that also quote's Ace's big post, and thus apparently the whole thing is too big.
Is there a way around this or am I SOL?
Vickory West
Seems I totally lost track of things longer than I thought. I've been busy and just responding to what was highest in my focus list, not having time to read through everything. Didn't realize I was missing so much.
So now I'm catching up. I had thought to follow Arthur since I thought he was headed to the lab (partly because I figured I could by with slower posting for a while), but oh well.
In any case, Vickory is there in the SIM room with Mel. Kinda saddened that arthur was remembered (at the time having not responded either), but I was completely not mentioned as someone part of the group working to save Mel. :(
Well, one of my nicknames is ghost, and not unfairly either. People often don't know I'm there (gets irritating when the workers forget that I'm watching them. Makes for more paperwork).
lynora
Sorry, Vickory. That scene got very confused and most of us didn't know who was where in there and you weren't present for the roll call when we started putting it back together. I had completely forgotten that V was even there. I remembered Arthur because it was his quest to start with. Everyone else in the scene was added on from there. So, yeah, she was there all along and just very, very quiet around all the loud, crazy people. :P
I know that you often get called away for real life stuff, and sometimes those absences can get pretty long. I try to work V into the background when I notice it, but if you get the chance, if you know you're heading into a busy time, giving me a heads up ahead of time definitely helps keep me aware of when I need to step in and NPC V for a bit so she doesn't get forgotten or lost in whatever scene she's in. Basically I'm here to help, but I need you to let me know when that help is needed.

I find more funny than anything else.
The only troublesome part is keeping track of all my games when things get busy. That part I'm terrible at.
Oh, and rarely having any warning on long work periods. I had two shifts in a row get doubled after I was already there.

Yikes! I knew your work schedule was crazy, but that's pretty rough. Fair enough on the not able to give a heads up thing. I will try to do a better job of watching for the times when you can't post. But I may still miss a scene from time to time. So here's my apology in advance, and know it definitely isn't on purpose when it happens. :)
lynora
Well, that was disappointing. Smart, solid script that drew well from the books, pretty good acting...not award winning, but nobody was just phoning it in or anything, and filmography so bad it made me wonder if they even bother with post production. Seriously, it was distracting. Turned what should have been a good movie into meh mediocre at best. :(
Vickory West
If you notice I'm missing, drop a pm. Usually I'm just stuck reading snippets then coming back later to post a response, only I end up losing track of all the places I need to catch up with since it has to be done piecemeal. Tiredness doesn't help, but it doesn't keep me from posting either. Though desk shifts do prevent checking the internets.
