Is there a champion of Hate? I have ideas for bad guy...

Just checked the list, and Hate is not listed. It's pretty up to date too, as Andromeda is now Time's champion.

Using thermal imaging, would a firebird show up as noticeably brighter than a normal humanoid on such equipment? Would it be easier to narrow down the search that way?

Lyn, we had talked a little about the specifics of Fei's mech-to-be, given his 'condition'. I'm still banging some of the stuff we talked about around in my head, but I haven't put much down on paper yet.

Lyn, since Ace's immunity is racial vs class or magic based, would it be possible for him to gain a bonus ala Mind Blank as opposed to loosing total immunity/protection?

No, he doesn't get a bonus. Yes, he still gets to make saves, albeit with some steep negatives. Not to say he can't help his chances with something like Owl's Wisdom or anything else to boost his will save. But it's always going to be difficult for him to resist her mental powers. That's just the nature of what she is. Eventually (presuming she survives fighting herself) she will learn enough control to be able to use enchantment spells on someone without forging a permanent psychic bond, but right now she's operating on pure instinct and doesn't understand what she can and cannot do. So the people whose minds she's already had contact with are all with this permanent bond.

Huh, I was looking at domains, and I saw that the fate domain was a sub domain of luck

I wonder if Luck and Fate have similarly close relationship in this game

They're opposites. Doesn't mean they have to always be antagonistic towards each other, but they often are.

I've got the old Mekton II Technical manual, and the Mekton II rulebook.
I'm pretty sure I have Zeta as well. I backed the Mekton KS...but that hasn't had a lot of momentum in a couple years.

Not to mention, Operation: Rimfire, Starblade, etc.

Yes, the list is up to date. No, hate is not on the list and never will be. The thing is that all of the Patrons are neutral concepts. They can be good or evil. So hate falls partly under Love's domain (along with jealousy and so forth) and partly under Wrath's domain. Love's opposite is actually Pride, because Love, good or bad, is focused on others, while Pride, good or bad, is focused on the self. And cause I got all philosophical when I was making the list. ;)

Would Wrath work for your bad guy? Cause I have some evil plans that might open that possibility up in the not too distant future. I just need to get in touch with some ex-players and make sure they're okay with some things. :)

Wrath would work, but has Enre as a champion atm. Let me know :)

Well, firebird body temp is hotter than most humanoids by a few degrees. So if you want to try making another sweep of the possbles from the air, give me another roll and we'll see if he can pinpoint it.

Most definitely.

Yessir - most of this just needs to be 'high concept' stuff that fits the flavor of each individual pilot.

As for point value, that's easy - we'll use the LPV* system.

So paranoid! I wasn't worrying about the error -- as much as, if you teleport to where something is, and say that something is 'falling', you'll appear in the air, right? Space?
